Emory stood by her mum and dad. She was scared to leave their side, seeing as this would be the first year she'd ever gone away from home without her parents. Emory gave her mother a fearful look. Her mother consoled her and got her to get on the train before it decided to leave. "Bye mum! Bye dad! I love you guys so much! I'll write to you!" Emory called out. She blew her mum and dad kisses and walked inside carrying her animals. Sighing softly, she glanced at all the full compartments. She knew noone. That bothered her a little. Her shy side was kicking in, and she didn't realy feel like being social just because of the fact that she was scared.
Biting her lip, she peered into all the full compartments, sighing heavily. First year at Hogwarts and I can't even find a stupid compartment... Emory thought. She continued to walk to try to find an empty compartment. She had no luck whatsoever.

This was boring. "El screwo this," he said in a British Spanglish language. He ran inside and ran around to find out a sign that said Buttheads Only. Thinking that of might been a second year or an incoming first year. Oh well. But as he walked further more, he found his good friend Drew.
"Drew! My man. What up dude?" he said as he found him. Not sure who he was with, but it was rude to stare.

"Yeah, I have, actually," Abby answered truthfully, remembering the time she'd visited the country, "I went with my dad once when I was little." She smiled slightly at the memory. It was a good one; that had been a great trip. It was just her and her dad. She missed those little things they used to do together and knowing she would never have it again... Abby had to stop and think about something else. She flashed the two another smile, pulling her legs up and crossing them. Abby turned her attention to Matty. "What House are you in?" she asked the girl. Matty contently sat there, having shifted apart from Ryan a little. She was aware of their conversation, and even more so of the slight tense feeling hanging in the air. The teenager was still gazing somewhat dreamily out the window, when Abby's question reached her thoughts. 'What House are you in?' Matty's face snapped back into a small smile, as she replied "Hufflepuff, and I'm in the same year as Ryan. How about you?" she asked, before adding "Are you new?" her face bearing emotions of curiousness and content. Abby didn't really seem that bad, and the girl shouldn't be jealous if Ryan had other girl friends. After all, she didn't want to be some possessive girlfriend who got jealous of other girls really easily. She never had been, and hopefully never would be.

Isabella Huntington was not a happy camper. No, she didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed. No, she didn't have a headache. And no, no one peed in her corn flakes. Instead, she was being sent away to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was powerless to stop it. She was leaving behind everything she was familiar with for a brand new world.
And she hated it.
She had tried to get her parents to change their minds. She had pleaded with them and fought with them for over a month, but in the end it was all futile, as she just learned moments ago after the last conversation with her parents before she'd see them again over Christmas break.
Izzy refused to look back as she made her way down the platform, looking for a train door to enter. Once she was sure that she was far enough away from where her parents were, the eleven-year-old readied herself to board the train. All she needed to do was get her trunk on board and find an empty compartment, and she'd be all set.
After a long, over-dramatic sigh, Izzy climbed up onto the steps of the train and turned around to get her trunk. Grabbing onto the handle, the girl pulled and almost immediately fell off of the train. Quickly, she rested the trunk back down on the ground and made sure that she had her bearings before she tried to lift the heavy trunk again.
Izzy grunted as she pulled, but even the sound effects didn't help her lift the trunk onto the train. She simply wasn't strong enough. Today was just not her day.
After coming to terms with the fact that she'd need help, Izzy jumped down off of the train and quickly scanned the crowd for a student who looked big enough to lift her trunk. Upon finding one, she took a deep breath before going up to them.
"Excuse me," she said. "I... need some help." Signaling over to her trunk by the side of the steam engine, she continued, "I can't get my trunk onto the train. Would you... mind?"

Tianne was mildly happy to be going back to Hogwarts. She didn't make a big deal of the fact that she was prefect, and in fact, she thought of it as being a rather bad choice. She couldn't wait to see Seth again, as she had been parted from her boyfriend for a bit, and Matty, her best friend, she had met up with a few times over the holidays, and of course Ryan, of whom she had heard had inherited her reading and writing techniques. Tianne missed them all so much, but she didn't really care that she was going to see them again. Sure, it was great and all, but he girl was more cut up about leaving her family again, especially after she had heard the great news from her parents. Tianne smiled as she folded all her clothes. She packed all her books, and squished in all her supplies. In a smaller bag, the girl packed h lolly supply, that seemed to be quite extensive and a book, as well as her badge in the front pocket so that it didn't get scratched. Tianne hadn't had a big breakfast, as she was too nervous. The girl hugged Tanya and kissed her on the cheek, and then proceeded to do the same with her mother. Her gave John a hug and said goodbye to them all, before walking out and loading the car up with her trunk and all her stuff. She put her cat in its small travel hut, and grinned. As she got into the car, John joined her and passed back something to wards her. "I promised you mother that I wouldn't give this to you, as she said that you wouldn't appreciate it, but I think you'll love it." It was a small box, that when Tianne opened, she found that it contained a diamond ring and earrings. "Oh my gosh!" She said, grinning with so much excitement. "Did this come from that lottery win a few weekends ago ?" She asked, before closing the box and pocketing it. "Yeah, it did. Happy sixteenth and congrats on getting prefect." John said, closing the car door and starting the engine. As Tianne pulled into the station, John glanced back at her. "How did you do that?" he asked, noticing that she was wearing her robes. "I can do many things." She replied, grinning. "Thankyou, John. Love ya!" She said, pushing her trolley away. She had promised to meet Seth before boarding the train, so the girl stood at the barrier. Oh, she was so excited! Diamonds really are a girls best friend! Seth found these busy September morning quite interesting, for a number of reasons. For starters, everyone made a big deal about getting to the station early, though most arrived later than sooner, and finding the best carriage. The Slytherin rarely woke up early for anything, and today wasn't much of an exception. Nor was his eagerness to find 'a good carriage'. They were all the same, in his opinion. The second thing was the lead up to this September morning, many packed well before, and planned meeting before they boarded the train. Seth packed half an hour before he was due to leave, and although he wasn't fond of meeting anyone, the boy had eagerly proposed to meet Tianne before they boarded the train, as he was not sure how long he would see her for the train trip - the Raven being a Prefect and all. So, as said, Seth woke with the right amount of time to pack his remaining things, eat a hearty breakfast, and set off to station. As the Collins boy originally lived in Ireland, his father Owen and himself had stayed the night in a London Motel, for it was the only option to get the boy to school in actual fact. They arrived at the station with little time to spare. Seth and his father had a reasonable relationship. Not one of those 'kick around the footy' ones, due to the fact that his father worked allot, but one based on respect and co-operation. They just got each other, so to speak. So as you may expect, Seth's departure from his father was not all 'words of wisdom' and tears. A simple "Have a good year, son." was said, followed by a hug was all they needed. Seth pushed his cart through the barriers of nine and ten, arriving on the platform. His chocolate eyes spotted his girlfriend above everyone else, and he rushed to meet her. Coming up from behind, the boy hugged Tianne, placing a small kiss on her cheek. "Sorry I couldn't come earlier, but you know me; I'd be nocturnal if I could," he laughed, grinning and pulling his trolley besides Tee's so he could face her. "You look nice." he added genuinely. The boy never thought she didn't look nice, but there was just something about not seeing her for a bit that made the sight of his girlfriend more appreciated. "You excited, Miss-Ravenclaw-Prefect?" Seth asked, glancing up at the clock near-by. There was still time.

Tianne waited. And waited. What could have been keeping Seth? He had promised to meet her here at half past, not five to. As the boy quickly walked up to her, she grinned, pretending to be angry. But no, she couldn't, she just couldn't get angry at the boy no matter how hard she tried. There was just something contagious about his happiness, whenever Tianne saw him, it made her smile as well. "Late? You think you're late? You are incredibly late." She said, with her arms crossed, and her hip leaning towards the left in an intimidating style. The girl grinned.
"We have to go, now. Or we'll like, miss the train. She said, passing Seth her bag. "Hold on, I want to show you something, ah, no I'll show you on the train." Tianne said, lifting the incredibly heavy bag once again. She smiled and turned around, pulling out her trolley as seh did so. The girl leant on the trolley in front of her, laughing as she did so. All of a sudden Tianne broke into a run, pushing through the barrier, and endingup on platform nine and three quarters. She just found the fact that they had to walk through a brickwall funny.
Tianne boarded the train, smiling at a few of the younger students on her way. Just as she was about to get on the train, a younger girl asked for help to get her trunk on to thered steam train, and being a prefect, Tianne thought that it was her responibility to help those in need of it. The fifth year walked over to the trunk, and pushed it up and onto the steam train. Of course, when Tianne was showing off her skills to get into the train, it didn't work. The back wheel had gotten stuck on the train. Tianne lifted up the handle, pulling the back up and into the carriage completely. "There you go." She spoke politely. "My name is Tianne, and if you ever need any help, just make sure you ask again. Are you a first year?" She spoke to the younger girl. Tianne grinned back at Seth and signalled that she'd be a minute. With her new duty of prefect, she wanted to make sure she knew each of the first years by name, in case they ever need any help.

The boy was glad that Tianne hadn't actually gotten seriously angry with her, out of the whole month or more they had been dating. Never once had they argued about something, ignored each other because of a comment, or even seriously been upset with one another. Never had he had this much ease and freedom in a relationship. All his others had felt boxed in, like he had to be careful about teasing them in a joking manor, etc. Things just rolled so smoothly with this Ravenclaw girl. 'We have to go, now. Or we'll like, miss the train' the Slytherin nodded, taking her bag for her, and watching what she was doing. It seemed she had something for show. "Alright, we have plenty of time on the train." he added, following her.
The boy smiled as she almost immediately attended a youngster with a problem. It made Seth glad to know that Tianne liked to put others before herself, she actually cared about others too. He was fine waiting, and lifted a few waves to people going past that he knew. The boy managed to spot Ryan's head through the train. As Tianne was helping the younger girl with her things, the boy picked up her case and extra baggage, maneuvering through the train. He opened the door to see Matty, Ryan and a new girl inside. "Hey guys, I'll be back in a sec, I'm just putting Tee's stuff in," he said quickly, stacking her things next to Matty's as gentle as possible. The boy returned to the platform in time to pick up his case, slip on his backpack, and take his owl cage from the trolleys that were being taken away. The boy took a couple of steps toward his girlfriend and the firstie, smiling warmly.

Relief washed over Izzy's face as the student made her way to the trunk and loaded it onto the train. After her own struggle with the oak chest just minutes ago, it was slightly comforting for the eleven-year-old to see that even the older girl had some difficulty getting the big, bulky thing up onto the steam engine. But, unlike Izzy, the girl had actually completed the task, which was all that really mattered. Izzy didn't dare wonder what it would have been like if she hadn't gotten the trunk up onto the train in time. It surely would've been a nightmare and just one more thing to add to the girl's list of why her parents are making a mistake by sending her to the wizarding school. So far, she had listed thirty-six.
"Thanks," Izzy said, offering a half smile to the girl, who introduced herself as Tianne. "Izzy," she said in response to the introduction.
Upon being asked if she was a first year, Izzy nodded while doing her best to hide her unhappiness. The way Tianne had worded the question -- by using "first year" -- reminded Izzy that this Hogwarts thing wouldn't be for just one year, but for seven. Seven. Whole. Years. And Izzy was not looking forward to any of it.
"Yup," she said, putting aside her anger for the time being. "Brand new." She paused for a moment, then continued. "...You don't have any tips or anything, do you?" It was obvious to Izzy that Tianne was familiar with Hogwarts, so perhaps the older girl had some advice that would prove helpful and make things easier for Izzy.

Tianne was happy to see that her boyfriend had tagged along behind her. She was kinda scared that he'd get angry at her for being bossy, but he didn't, and that was okay. She still had to show him her ring and earrings, even though the diamonds were quite small, she was ecstatic about them. Tianne was also happy to see that the young girl she had helped was actually grateful. A lot of the younger kids now-a-days, were quite rude, something that Tianne didn't like. She had been insulted many times, just walking along the street, by the youngings, but Tianne knew that there had to be some good still out there.
Tianne grinned at the younger girl. She was glad that the girl was brand new, asshe hoped that she wasn't expected to know her name already. Besides, she looked younger anyways. "Advice? Oh um..." Tianne said, crossing her arms, the way she always did when she was thinking. "I guess just have fun. Make a lot of friends. And I can't believe that I'm going to say this, I mean, they'd probably take my badge if they found out, but some rules are there to be broken. Just enjoy yourself." Tianne said, offering the same advice that John gave to her every year. "And, on the seventh floor, the room of requirement. The funnest place on Earth, take my word for it." She winked at the girl.

"I'm in Gryffindor," she answered with a slight smile, feeling bad that she was happy about the girl not being in their House, "And I'm the same year as you guys." Abby really wasn't the jealous type, and she had no idea why this sudden hostility toward this other girl was making her want to be a big bitch. She wanted to shake it off; she didn't want to be like this. The girl had done nothing wrong and it was even possible for the two of them to be friends if they tried. Maybe. "I've actually been here since first year," Abby told her when she asked if she was new, "I was just good at kind of staying under the radar. What about you?"

Izzy paid careful attention as Tianne gave her some advice on how to make it through the school year, something that the first year would most definitely need. She was going off to a school that she was completely unfamiliar with, so she would take any help she could get. Of course, the first two suggestions were to be expected - have fun and make friends. The former was probably going to be difficult for her, at least in the beginning, but Izzy was planning on making at least one or two really good friends, and they'd surely bring on the fun for the eleven-year-old. She doubted that they'd be as fun as her three best friends back home - Em, Vic, and Mel - but it was better than having no friends, she supposed.
The last two pieces of Tianne's advice intrigued Izzy. She tucked a strand of red hair behind her ear as the older girl suggested that some rules are meant to be broken, causing Izzy's lips to curl up into a small smile. She wasn't much of a trouble maker, but if she was somewhere she hated and ran into an opportunity to stir up some things, why not?
Her mind was quickly taken off rule breaking when the girl mentioned something else... a room of requirement. What the heck that was, Izzy had no idea. Is was obviously a room, but... requirement... what did that mean? She probably would've asked Tianne, had she not known that her parents were still on the platform and probably watching her. She was still furious with them, and probably would be for some time, so the sooner she could get out of their sight, the better. She'd just have to make a mental note about this room of requirement on the seventh floor and check it out later, once she had some free time to do some exploring.
"Right," Izzy nodded, and held up her hand. "Have fun, make friends, break a few rules, and check out the room of requirement." For each suggestion she named, she stuck a finger up in the air. "Sounds do-able."
And then she paused, not sure what else to say. Her parents were still on her mind, so she decided it was best to board the train. "Well, thanks again. For the trunk and the advice." She offered another half smile to the girl.

"Well we're here," said Kara, Clayton's mother. Clayton had on his casual clothes on for now, but later was going to change into his new robes. Clayton pulled the trolley of his luggage and along with his snowy owl, Zeus. Just then his father popped an idea. "I have a quicker way into Platform 9 3/4. I learned it from a friend," his father James Sr. said. They went beside a long, brick wall.
"James, dear. You go with Clayton. Clayton, dear. We love you and I want you to write me each week!" his mother said as she gave him a kiss and a long hug. The clock was at 10:55 A.M.
"I'll see you later, sweetie," his mother said. "I hope you find a girlfriend and kiss her," said his little 8-year-old brother James Jr. Clayton snickered. He then with his ran to the wall and went inside where they found themselves onto the Platform.
"Well, you got three minutes. And I love you son. I'll see you this Christmas," his father said as he gave him a long hug and walked off. Clayton gulped and got nervous a little. The conductor got his luggage and Clayton abroaded the Express.
He found an empty compartment and stepped in. He sat in the seats and lounged. He was ready for Hogwarts.

To tell the truth, Claire didn't want to sit in a compartment all by herself. But that didn't matter anyway since they had already been filling up. Her own friends from Slytherin were nowhere to be found at the moment and the train was probobly going to take off soon. So the second year thought it better to just pick a compartment and endure it until they reached Hogwarts. Slideing open the door, Claire stepped in and found this one almost completely empty except for a boy already sitting. He looked a bit like a firstie but who was she to say anything since she was still pretty young herself.
"Hi, mind if I join ya?" Claire asked nicely. Might as well put on a good first impression. If he really was a firstie, she could scare him later with stories about the sorting ceremony. After all, that's what all the older kids did to her last year saying you had to duel with a monster.

"Yea, thanks mate," Brent answered gratefully. It was nice having some help...finally. Who in their right mind would blow the chance at helping a Prince? Only the lowleiest of scum would, that's who. So, this kid couldn't be someone like that, he helped a Prince out, so...he was at least a braving knight, probably not much more though. He could only hope his Newt would be fine in his home, he had enough food and water, so Brent thought so, but he wouldn't be able to check until after the Feast.
"Really, thanks a lo'," Brent smiled at the noble knight before walking away and searching for a compartment. He probably could've stuck it out and said more, but he felt a noble deed complimented too much would go to the kid's head, and he didn't want a bloat-headed knight on his charge.
As he walked around seaching for a seat, Brent took a glance out on the walk and saw something totally amazing as he was pasisng through by the doors. Running out side he nearly pounced on an older guy.
"Is that a dragon?!" That was so cool!
