It was that time of year again, no it wasn't the most wonderful and it certainly wasn't Christmas. It was that other time of the year again, the time she was coming to find that she was getting more and more reasons to hate every 1 September. It wasn't that the day itself was necessarily bad - today was absolutely beautiful for example - it was just that she was begining to like leaving Hogwarts more than she did returning to it. The past two years specifically had been hell's equivalent for so many reasons, and now she was going back again for what? Another invasion, another murder, another friend to mysteriously abandon her? The trend was right there in front of her and after two summers of arguing with her dad to go back...she found herself arguing to stay up until last night. Until that point of no return where she knew she was going like it or not. Her dad was there to see her off since her like every other term, he did it like it ro not and she was beginning to loathe it. But that may be the distemperment talking. And so after stowing her luggage and giving an 'I-hate-you-yet-still love-you' hug the Hufflepuff teen boarded the Hogwarts Express to begin the standard routine once more. So now here she was, still Lianna, still fourteen and back among the train she got to see but a mere horrid twice a year. Twice was more than enough. The teen managed to squander a compartment to herself - or at least a piece of one because compartments never stayed empty - and let the routine start to run it's course... It was a long train ride yet. (PM me if you join me, just so I know whose posts to watch )

Cameron turned her attention to the door. She watched as people passed her compartment, not stopping to look in. She shrugged slightly. She could care less if someone sat with her or not. Of course, that was kind of mean, but hey. It's what she thought. She opened her carrier and let her cat out. Cameron couldn't help but to giggle as her cat started playing on the floor with a piece of string from her carrier. "Awe..." Cameron whispered as she laughed softly. She tucked her long red hair behind her ears as she watched.
Cam watched her cat play til she was tired and crawled up onto her lap and fell asleep. She petted her and felt her purr softly. Cameron smiled, and sighed softly, and began staring out the window again getting her mind distracted.

"I'm in Gryffindor," she answered with a slight smile, feeling bad that she was happy about the girl not being in their House, "And I'm the same year as you guys." Abby really wasn't the jealous type, and she had no idea why this sudden hostility toward this other girl was making her want to be a big bitch. She wanted to shake it off; she didn't want to be like this. The girl had done nothing wrong and it was even possible for the two of them to be friends if they tried. Maybe. "I've actually been here since first year," Abby told her when she asked if she was new, "I was just good at kind of staying under the radar. What about you?" The teenager nodded as Abby mentioned that she was in Gryffindor, too. "Thats good, at least Ryan isn't a total loner in his house," Matty joked, smiling and looking from the brunette to the boy sitting beside her. She wasn't too sure on just how friendly the two Lions were with each other, but she didn't really mind either. A friend was a friend, and Matty was aware that Ryan probably had allot of friends, of both girls and boys. When Abby confirmed that she had actually been there since her first year, Matty replied with a small "Oh," followed by an acknowledging nod. "Thats fair enough, I was pretty shy until my third year." the Hufflepuff added. "What electives are you both taking?" Matty then asked, turning to face Ryan as well, trying to include him in the conversation. As much as the Quidditch Captain had felt quite coldly to wards Abby, she was trying to over come it. She didn't know the fact yet.

Ryan didn't know what to say, nor what to do. It was incredibly awkward being sat between the girl that he used to like, and the girl that he was currently dating. Hold on a second, were Matty and Ryan dated? They had spent about three weeks together, but with Seth and Tianne as well, but did that still classify the two as dating? Ryan merely sat there, absorbed in his thoughts, arguing about the fact that they were dating. "Electives? Oh crap..." He said. Of course, Ryan had enrolled, and did know what ones he was taking, but he didn't know he was supposed to have to remember them off the top of his head. "Care of Magical creatures.... errr... Muggle Studies?" He said, hating himself for being put into this situation in the first place. He grinned at Abby, before turning to face Matty, to give her a grin. Ryan then directed his thoughts and cares back to the scenery outside. Come on Seth, he thought. Where was his friend anyways?

Tianne laughed as the girl seemed to process her advice. Tee felt that she really could get used to this job, being prefect, as the perks seemed... Well, they seemed almost endless. Firstly, she got the power to be able to take off points, and give them to students. Secondly, she had access to a huge bathtub, as big as a swimming pool, as well as another common room. Being a prefect so far was pretty sweet, but this was basically her second day, her first being the orientation for the first years.
Tianne offered the girl a complete smile, in exchange for the half smile she had recieved. "Have a good train ride, watch out for some of the older kids, I know they've got quite a few tricks up their sleeves." She smiled, turning to Seth. "Sorry about that. Aren't they just so cute though. She couldn't get her trunk up, I think that I was obliged to help, you know, with the badge." She said, flicking the shiny badge stuck on her robes. "Hopefully Ry and Matt already have a compartment. I'd suggest getting one by ourselves, leaving those two, you know, alone. but I hav eto go the the prefect meeting. I'm so excited!" She spoke excitedly.
"Come on Seth." She said, walking down, looking into each compartment as she didn't want to walk straight past Matty and Ryan. As she finally reached one where the two were sitting, she noticed Matty, sitting quite cosily, near Ryan and then another girl, of whom Tianne didn't know the name of. "Matty Wentworth. Get outta here, or I'll deduct points before you can say, Tianne!" The girl laughed. She took a seat, next to the other girl and smiled each person sitting in the compartment. "'Just practicing my 'scary prefect' job, but I can't stay for long. Oh, um, Tianne Webster-Barrett." Tianne spoke, introducing herself to the other. Now the girl could see why the atmosphere seemed so awkward.

Maddy was so happy to be going tback to Hogwarts. Her first year, although it had started out a bit odd, you know, with the whole 'firsties running away' incident, but the rest of it had been absolutely perfect. She had made a new best friend, and she had met a lot of people too. Some had come and gone, like Summer and Sally, but Maddy and Jet were as close as friends can be. The young girl was glad that she wasn't bestfriends with a girl, as she just wasn't the girly type. Maddy much preferred football and mud to dolls and makeup, but that was just the kind of girl that she was. Maddy flicked her blonde hair out of her face. "Seeya Ezz. Seeya Jord." She said, giving each of her siblings a hug. She was going to miss them, even though they had both gotten on her nerves a lot during the time she was back home. As the family walked up to the platform, Maddy giggled. "I can't believe summers over already, I can't wait to get back to Hogwarts." She said, leaning over to Eryn. The girl had her cat in it's little carry-box thing, as she knew that she'd want to bring that on the train with her, but the rest of her things were packed away in her trunk. The previous year, Maddy had made the typical mistake, she ha brought way too many things, but as she was going into her second year, she knew never to make that horrible mistak again. As she boarded the train, she noticed a girl who seemed to have done he same thing as Maddy had done. She couldn't get her stuff in. Maddy grinned at the girl and helped her pull her trunk onto the Train. It was hard work, even for the second year, but they managed. "There ya go. Are you a first year?" She asked, as she wasn't sure if she was meant to recognise the girl. "Dad! Come on! I'm gonna miss the bloomin' train!" Jethro Stevens jumped from foot to foot, avoiding knocking over his cases and cage, while standing in front of his car. "Craig, go get dad, pleeeeease!" the boy asked in a whining tone, glancing down to his watch. They really didn't have time for another cup of tea, as his parents had insisted. After another few seconds had passed, the two parents of Jethro and Craig emerged from the house, laughing and shaking their heads. "Come onnnn! Come on! Come on! Come on!" he rushed, waiting for his father to fish out his keys, unlock the car, and pop the boot. Craig walked over and helped his little brother stash his cases in the back, while Jethro picked up Pablo's cage. the Stevens family barely started up the engine, before Craig turned up the radio. Music blared through the speakers, and after a moment, Lynn turned it down, scolding her eldest son. The family took a heated drive into the heart of London, where the station was located. The twelve year old jumped out of the car as soon as they pulled into a parking spot, and stopped. "Easy, son, we've got time." the boy's bright blue eyes glanced at the clock tower, reading ten-to. "No we haven't!" Jethro retorted, with a stupid grin on his face. Despite the fact that he was nervous about coming back, the boy was still thrilled to be returning 'home'. Especially because he would be seeing Maddy again. The second-year dragged out his case, placing it on a trolley, while placing Pablo in his cage on top. The whole family wheeled along in a hurried motion, before stopping a bit away from the Barrier where Jet would cross. "Alright, you know the drill, son. Have a good year, keep out of trouble." Paul said with a smile, ruffling his son's hair. This was a typical family occasion, since last year. His mother sniffed back a small tear, hugging her son tightly. "Be careful, sweetheart. Try and make some more friends. Awe, your getting so big!" she said, kidding his cheek. "Mum, stop-" he began, but simply hugged his mother back. At least she cared about it. Craig looked down at his younger brother, before practically squeezing all the air out of him. "Love you little bro!" Craig shouted, spinning around the youngster. "Don't go kissing all the girls!" he whispered with a wink. Jethro gave him family one last smile and wave, before running to get through the brick wall before time was up. Many students were still rushing onto the train, and the boy spotted Maddy, seeming to help another younger student. He glanced down to the black leather bracelet on his wrist, it having worn down a little bit since their day in London. The Gryffindor approached her, a grin on his face. "Hey," he said, with wave to wards Maddy, and a nod to wards the younger girl. "Excited about the train trip?" Jethro asked, the question directed at both Maddy and the, well, what he assumed to be, a First Year.

Seth didn't mind waiting for his girl to finish up her new Prefect roles. The little kid was kinda cute, and she wasn't extremely shy like most first years were these days. Good to see. 'Sorry about that. Aren't they just so cute though. She couldn't get her trunk up, I think that I was obliged to help, you know, with the badge.' When the Raven finally approached him, the boy nodded. "S'all good. It's good your getting used to helping out the little ones." he added, following her onto the train. He replied to her comment kind of late, having to think about what she said, before relaising that Matty and Ryan were pretty much a 'couple' now. Seth had to admit it, they were good together.
The Fifth year boy dragged his cased behind him, and once they reached Matty, Ryan and the other girl, the Slytherin packed in his own things next to Ryan's. When his girlfriend had a random outburst at Matty, the boy snorted, before snickering. 'Just practicing my 'scary prefect' job, but I can't stay for long.' The boy looked at the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, sitting snug together. He then noted the other girl, sitting across from them, next to Tee, now. "Pfft, what do you mean 'job', Tee? Your always scary!" he teased, though with the same grin as always, dropping into the seat next to his girlfriend. "Nah, but seriously you two. You need to stop making out in public, even if it is dark." he said, in a some-what sarcastic tone, smirking at his friends. The teenager then realised that this girl was probably thinking he was some random jerk, before realising that he had met her before*. "Hey Abby, we met in the Holidays, remember?" the boy then said with a smile and a small wave.
* I'm just gonna assume that they know each other, Abby, cause it's after Summer (:

She didn't know the fact yet. Abby was just about to answer the girl's question when two more students came into the compartment. Abby shuffled down a little in her seat, making room for Seth and this other girl. She smiled at Seth as he spoke, remembering meeting him already. He had been a pretty nice guy when she met him and talked to him for a little while. She knew he wasn't single, so there had never even been an idea there. Glancing sideways at Ryan, though, Abby frowned a little bit. "Hey Seth," she greeted the boy before looking to the girl she assumed to be his girlfriend as she spoke, "Hi, Tianne." "I'm taking Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies too," she answered happily after hearing Ryan name off his elective courses for the year. Abby felt awful for wishing Matty didn't have any classes with him, but she just couldn't help it. The Gryffindor girl had never been like this before so she had no idea what was going on in her little teenage mind.

((Lianna PLAY WITH ME!! ;D))
The badge glistened and shined as Jax Chaput walked through the platform of 93/4 after an exciting and very eventful summer. The young Raven had everything in the world to smile about, and so she was. She couldn’t wait to see Snake again, and get back into the swing of things; and most of all, the quidditch season. Jax had never expected a letter with anything but her school supplies and books, and especially not a badge explaining how she, of all the players on the quidditch team, had been selected to be their captain! It was a miracle! Amazing! And above all else, absolutely magnificent!
The letter was stuffed her in robe pockets, as if having it with her at all times made it more real. Proof to anyone who questioned her owning the badge and showing it around as if it made her king of the world. Didn’t it? Jax sure felt it did. She was the youngest quidditch captain ever…or since a long time, and she was going to do her best to make sure everyone knew that Ravenclaw’s team was number one, and would stay that way as long as she was on watch. Her smile couldn’t be any bigger, nor could she even attempt to puff out her chest anymore than it already was.
Her trunk already on the train, she went to find a seat to sit down in and gloat to someone about her awesome vacation. The quidditch badge was just one thing…there were so many other stories to tell. It was only too bad she didn’t have any really good frie…ah ha!
Walking through the compartments, looking in the windows just slightly, she saw a familiar brunette who she just loved to annoy. The girl had annoyed her mutually, so what was the harm in continuing the relationship of sorts. Not to mention, she looked absolutely dreadful. Opening the compartment door, Jax went in and sat down, not even asking if it was all right. Crossing her legs and smiling brightly Jax couldn’t help but laugh slightly. “Hey, what’s up Lianna? You look as lovable as a porcupine,” she snorted thinking her slight insult was appropriate, and just hilarious. Ah, yes…this was going to be an excellent year, indeed.

(Ugh... ) A long ride indeed. The silence seemed to echo longer than last September, but there were probably several reasons for that if she bothered to think about. In all actuality though she was trying to think about anything but. It resulted in her thoughts focusing mainly on the summer festival where she'd made a couple aquaintances but none of them anywhere near local. Or at least they weren't her local (a Beaubatons girl from Hastings was certainly a long distance away) they'd exchanged addresses to keep in touch but Lianna honestly doubted she'd get around to writing. She still owed Abby a letter but evertime she thought about it she couldn't find the heart to actually write it. But enough of thoughts, back to the routine! The teen's brown eyes searched the platform as the smallest of smiles pulled at her lips. First years. Some looked nervous, some looked confident, nausiated, homesick, clingy, really just about any adjective would have worked. She was't sure what to call it, sure any of the older students (or most of them anyway) could relate to what was occuring on the platform but part of her wanted to smile, and part of her wanted to cruelly laugh in bemusement. Ignore the fact that Lianna Maylorn could never be cruel, they'd said she couldn't get annoyed either and Jax seemed to constantly want to prove that wrong... And she would continue to do so. As the compartment door slid open the Hufflepuff paid it no mind. Everyone knew compartments never stayed completely empty unless you were in the last car of the train...and even then the snack trolley came through at some point or another for you. Her eyes did however flick over when the voiceless soul chose to sit directly across from her as opposed to anywhere else. Seats were free and no one that quiet was a giddy socialite Jax Chaput, was definitely not part of the routine, not part of it at all. If this was any omen as to how the year was going to go she probably would have been better off following that thought of running away last night. " Hey, what’s up Lianna? You look as lovable as a porcupine" And right into the relationship that she held just oh-so-dearly to her heart. Not. "Porcupines are cute, you're out of practice." The girl replied, initially ignoring her actual question. She'd never really cared before, or never seemed to. Probably just using it as a step to her insult anyway but...ugh...Jax was someone to talk to that she could claim she knew at least. She might as well make the best of it, right? "It's same as every year...except you're here. I don't know if that's good or bad for me yet." Long ride indeed.

"Dude!" Drew cried out, glad to see someone he knew and got along with, but still concerned about what to do with Jeremy. The second year probably wouldnt' appreciate knowing Drew was, in essence trying to find him a babysitter, but the newly appointed Head Boy didn't know what else to do to keep the Littledude safe, especially after seeing that sign.
"Have you seen anyone else?" he asked, still holding Jeremy by the collar. It was a slightly off question, considering they were on a crowded train platform, but Tristan would know what he meant.

"Umm.." he said thinking of who he saw so far. But he didn't know who. "Not sure dude. But hey man, we need to get to the Prefect Meeting soon. You and whoever made Head Girl need to give us information," he said snickering. How did he know Drew made Head Boy. He learned about a week before this ride somehow. He then noticed more and more people kept getting on.
"So, is the littledude gonna stay here or what?" he asked.

Again, their parents were at their side making sure that they were completely protected from any peering eyes or nasty comments. Selene was getting really tired of this routine, and yet, she could smell freedom just beyond the barrier and on the train. The Fairchild family walked through the wall, and instantly on the other side, Selene’s body screamed for freedom. Behind both her and Chandra, they dragged a huge trunk large enough for both of their clothes and whatnot. Being connected as they were, it was easier to just have half as much stuff….as horrible as that may sound. It had even cut down on diapers when they were babies, or so their mother would try to joke. Selene didn’t find it funny at all.
Richard bent down in front of them as Yuko stood near them, her hand on Chandra’s shoulder as she looked around and made sure no one was looking or pointing or even coming their way. She’d be sure to shoo them away if they were. Again, Selene just rolled her eyes. After a while, you’d think they’d fall right out of the sockets. Selene hoped they would. At least then her parents would really have something to worry about then. A pair of conjoined twins that were blind, deaf, and dumb….or so it would seem sometimes with Chandra at her side. The girl was hopeless in her sister’s opinion.
“Now, listen closely girls,” Richard began. “Don’t speak to anyone, keep under your robe so that no one can see you, keep in your own compartment and so on. Make yourselves as unnoticeable as possible. I understand dinner tonight, everyone will know…but I just want you girls to have a pleasant trip there, alright? So, do as I say….and don’t do anything.”
“Yes father,” both girls said quietly in unison. Selene’s dripped with sarcasm as she just wanted to slap some sense into her father. As if they would just sit around and do nothing. Was he fricken out of his mind?! Her eyebrow rose, not that her father could see it, but it did.
Richard stood up, and both Fairchild parents lead the girls all the way to the train, put their trunk on for the girls and helped them up the stairs that allowed them into the compartments. How embarrassing! Selene turned around, Chandra following and both girls lifted their hands and waved. Yuko started crying, Richard’s arms went around her immediately and Selene turned her head toward Chandra. “Let’s blow this joint…”
Walking into the car, they took up the entire width of the isle. Pushing people aside was no problem for the two Fairchild twins, and yet when they pushed Chandra would call out sorry. Talk about contradicting. Selene just laughed. “Watch it…coming through,” she would say, just as her sister would again apologize. “This is hilarious.”
Finally finding a compartment with only one person inside (Cameron), Selene opened the door and allowed herself, to take a seat across from where the girl sat petting a cat, Chandra followed. “You don’t mind if we ride with you, do you?” Selene asked, not really caring if the girl didn’t. It’s not like they had anyplace else to go.

Chanda climbed aboard the train with the help of her father and was still so shocked that they were on their way to Hogwarts, she didn’t know what to say or do. She listened to her sister talk, and groan, but it didn’t even faze her. They were finally on their way to a magical school, one in which she never thought they would attend. Come on now, how many school accepted deformed pre-teens? Seriously? Her smile was so wide, not that anyone could see it beyond the hood but it really was, that it covered her whole entire face. Yes, they were on their way to a new school, and hopefully….a new, more accepting lifestyle.
Let’s blow this joint… Chandra nodded again, saying nothing really in response. Their sway was even more evident in the, what seemed like narrow, corridor of the compartments in the car they traveled. They pushed passed people rudely, and Chandra couldn’t help but feel incredibly sorry, and guilty. Watch it, coming through! her sister yelled as she politely said “I’m sorry, excuse me” over and over again. Chandra was grateful when she finally found a compartment with only one person inside.
“Selene, lets sit here. There’s a kitty!” Chandra squealed happily. She could already feel her sister’s eyes roll, and so she didn’t turn to look. Selene, however, complied and opened the door. “Wait…shouldn’t we…” Chandra tried to whisper about asking the girl if she was waiting for anyone to sit with her besides a couple of first years but it didn’t happen. Selene put her right hand over Chandra’s mouth, and that was the end of it.
Again, their sway was even more noticeable in the little compartment room than ever due to the lack of room. Selene lead with her foot and Chandra followed soon to take a seat after her sister. You don’t mind if we ride with you, do you? her sister’s way of asking made Chandra hit herself in the forehead with her left hand. “Selene, that’s not how you ask…” she said out loud, and loud enough for the girl to hear. It would be evident that there was something different about the hooded figure now, and because of that Chandra slapped her right hand to her mouth through the hood. What were they going to do now?

Drew was well aware that he and Charlie had to run the prefect meeting, but of course he wasn't sure how much meeting would get done with the two of them in charge. But at the moment, the meeting was the least of his concerns. the obnoxious sign and the saftey of his cousin was top priority.
... where was Felicity? He didn't want her anywhere near that particular compartment either.
"It's always in the first car, just like last year," Drew answered absentmindedly, still scanning the crowd for someone he trusted who wasn't supposed to be in the Student Leader Meeting.
"My cousin, Jeremy," Drew answered, pulling on the small boy's collar to make the second year come out of hiding. "We should probably grab a compartment before they're all taken, huh?"
