Drew smiled as Felicity took his hand again and as she took a seat next to Freddy, he settled down next to her, feeling comfortable enough sitting on the ground. He smiled at the girls on his other side, but wasn't sure what to say to them. He didn't have much time to think about it because Freddy approached him after having some obvious marshmallow trouble.
Drew was a little surprised the little boy was even talking to him, much less asking for help. Freddy usually just eyed him suspiciously.
"Sure, I can help," Drew agreed, giving the boy a smile and offering his hand out. This was probably not the time to tease about the benifit of knowing dragons.

Just the smile alone from Drew set the two girls off into gales of laughter and bouts of blushing. Quickly hiding their mouths behind their hands, the two started a steady rhythm of whispers between them. They'd never had an older boy smile at them before, and so what if he was Felicity's boyfriend, maybe they could convince him they would make better wives. Perhaps he'd place house and wedding with them on the 'morrow?
Giving a stiff nod in return to the giant for saying he'd help, Freddy tried to put on as brave a face as he could as he handed over his stick and a marshmallow. With his luck the giant would roast the marshmallow, eat it, and then roast him too. It happened in some fairy tales.
Felicity felt a little taken aback that Freddy was asking for Drew's help and not her own, but she didn't say anything. Maybe he was just trying to be nice to Drew? Someone in her family had to be, besides her mum and her female cousins. Though, she was pretty sure Harold was putting forth a foot at dinner to be kind to him, which meant a world of good to the blonde.
"Lissy?" Freddy whispered to the girl, trying not to let the giant hear him. "You think he'll catch fire?"
At the boy's question, Felicity covered her mouth to hide the laugh that bubbled. So that was his plan, if anyone was to catch fire, why not Drew? Shaking her head, the boy's face dropped and he huffed a sigh of disappointment. The Gryffindor would have to warn Drew when he wasn't busy.

The reaction from Felicity's cousins was unexpected and brought a hit of red to Drew's face. Fortunately, no one would notice it in the dar, or so he hoped.
It was also surprising that Freddy just handed over his things and leaned in to talk to Felicity, though Drew figured he proably should have expected it. The Ravenclaw couldn't really imagine the small red-head sticking around while Drew did the dirty work.
Drew skewered the marshmallow on Freddy's stick before offering it to the boy. "You want to give it a try?" he asked, thinking it was the fun part to stick it in the fire. "i've got it on pretty good and I'll tell you when to pull it out..."

Freddy turned back to look at the giant. He was definitely scarier looking in the dark, when the shadows leapt across his face and the flames of the fire created an eerie glow. He shivered just at the thought of the nightmares he was going to have that night from looking at the giant for so long. Sighing again, because Lissy said the giant wouldn't catch fire, and eyeing the giant with great care, Freddy held out his hand to take the stick back.
"Alright, but if you push me in, I'm telling!" he warned and scattered away from the tall figure as quickly as possibly.
Still laughing, Felicity turned to look at the blue-eyed boy, hoping he wasn't too offended. "I think Freddy still fears you're a giant, love," she told him quietly, trying not to let it be known she was breaking Freddy's trust by talking. "Just now while you were fixing the marshmallow for him, he asked me if I thought you'd catch fire. I don't know if he was hoping or if he was fearing, because I've done that before..."

Drew shrugged it off, not finding it quite as humorous as Felicity did, but not feeling totally offended by Freddy's reaction towards him. Then again, it might have been cool to show the boy some of the tricks he had for roasting the perfect marshmallow.
"You cought on fire?" he asked, surprised and worried. Drew figured that Freddy was probably hoping Drew would catch, but also wondered if the small red-head had been worried for his own safety. Felicity may have caught on fire once, but Drew had once nearly set Allegra on fire roasting marshmallows.

Nodding, Felicity giggled lightly.
"A couple of times actually. The first time was because I didn't do a very good job at starting the fire. And another time was because I got too close to it while trying to roast a marshmallow. And I've done it a couple of times at school too," she continued. "When I first met Celina in the girls loo, I did it then and Corey put me out after Celina had tried to."
That was quite the adventure. The crazy Ravenclaw didn't know what to do and had tried to call water to Felicity, but instead she directed it at the Head Boy and after a flustered moment, he aimed a good spell at Felicity.
"Dad doesn't like to let me near it anymore, but I help out with the fire sometimes." Scooting a little closer to Drew, Felicity's hand found one of Drew's and she gave it a gentle squeeze. "I think they'll be sent to bed in a few minutes, and most of them will go with the little ones because of the long drive. Did you want to to try and look at the stars tonight?"

"Try not to do that anymore, okay?" Drew suggested with a small smile wondering how he hadn't heard about the loo incident at school. He was going to assume it had been her trying a spell since she had done it a few times when working with him, but lately, not nearly as often. "I usually set other people on fire... but don't tell Freddy, okay?"
"Stars would be cool," he answered back, fighting the inclination towards looking at Mr. Hjort and thus raising any suspicion. "You think the kids'll leave some marshmallows though?" he asked, wanting to roast a few himself.

"I never try to!" Felicity insisted with a grin. "It just happens to happen without me meaning it." Sticking her tongue out at him, she laid her head against his arm. "And I promise, I won't tell Freddy what you do, if you promise not to ever mention to my parents that I set a lot of things on fire at school."
Pulling back, Felicity's eyes met Drew's, waiting for his answer. If they knew what a danger she was to herself and everyone around, they might insist she drop out of all wand classes. Not that they were her favourites by any means anyway.
"I'm sure they will," she laughed. "And if not, mum always has plenty of other bags elsewhere we can get into."
After another few moments, and a successful marshmallow for Freddy, her mum, sisters and theirs husbands, and anyone thirteen and younger were sent to bed (though Cherry through a fit about not being allowed to stay up longer).

"It happens to happen..." he echoed with a grin, teasing her as she leaned agaisnt him. He rested his head on hers. He wasn't sure if that was approved contact, but was pretty sure her dad would glare at him if it wasn't. Even the thought of that look made him sit up with a sigh. His smile quickly resurfaced as she agreed to his request. "Yeah, your secret is safe with me," he answered, knowing she understood that it was safe as long as they didn't ask him directly about it.
When the younger ones were ushered to bed, Drew broke away from Felicity and scambled over to where he had last seen the marshmallows, finding the bag and a couple of sticks left from the younger kids. Taking them back to Felicity, he sat down next to her again with a wide smile. Skewering both rods with two marshmallows each, he handed one over to her. And if she didn't want to roast marshmallows with him, he'd go ahead and have them all himself.

Sticking her tongue out at him for the tease, Felicity gently pushed him. However, she did know he was just teasing her, which the blonde didn't mind. Being teased was something she was used to; being the youngest sibling meant being teased, she was a girl, she was rather clumsy at times, and she liked to tease back sometimes. So no, she didn't mind him teasing her at all.
Watching him race for the marshmallows made her grin and made Stephen, Lindsay, and her dad stare. They were the only ones that hadn't retreated. Stephen because he was conversing with Lindsay again while she continued to play guitar, and Ib because his daughter wasn't safely tucked away just yet...and that boy was still up.
When he returned and offered her one of the sticks he had, she gratefully took it. "So, how do you like your marshmallows?" Felicity asked curiously. Catching them on fire and not putting the light out until they were black was her favourite way, but she knew not everyone liked burnt ones.

He hadn't noticed the looks he had gotten. Had he seen the others staring, he probably would have gotten self conscious agian, but for now he was focused on Felicity and the marshmallows.
"Twice roasted," he told her with a grin as he stuck the skewer into the flames. He didn't know too many people who knew the pleasure of having a twice roasted marshmallow, much less someone who know how to do it properly.

"Twice roasted...?" she asked him, confused. Did that mean he liked to burn them twice? But before she got a chance to ask, he stuck them in the fire and she watched for a moment before giving him an odd look and sticking her own into the fire, close to the base of it.
There was something about the taste of flame licked foods that was appetizing and tasty, and Felicity enjoyed the chance to roast food. Sure, you could roast foods in an oven, but it wasn't the same as doing it over a campfire.
Giving her marshmallows a minute, Felicity pulled them from the fire, flames engulfing the white puffs and turning their outer edges black as a lightless night.

There were many ways to make a proper twice roasted marshmallow, but for this particular batch, Drew chose to make the first roasting a dark golden brown, but not a full on burn. With his marshmallows roasted to his specifications, he pulled them from the fire and looked over at Felicity, wondering if she wanted to try it herself.
Holding the stabbed marshmallows at eye level, Drew very carefully pulled off just the roasted outside, using the precission of a well-practiced surgeon. He held the roasted shell out to Felicity, wondering if she'd like to try it, and the gooey marshmallow guts that were still left on the stick were redeposited into the flames.

Watching her marshmallows so they didn't fall into the fire, Felicity brought them closer to her, flame away from Drew to blow the fire out. It wouldn't do any good to accidentally set her boyfriend on fire, nor herself...again. The marshmallows were crisp and dark, the way she felt they should be eaten, and when Drew held his hand out to her, she turned to see what she was supposed to be looking at, only to see him sticking the sticky part of the marshmallow back in the fire.
"What are you doing?" she asked, completely confused, and she was sure the look on her dad's face was shared with her own.

She just looked at it so Drew popped the roasted marshmallow shell into his mouth with a wide grin, knowing that the best part of the roasted marshmallow was the crispy, golden brown outside. The gooey insides were really just filler in his opinion.
"Double roasting," he told her with a grin, keeping an eye on his gooey stick. When that bit had turned a pleasing golden brown as well, he pulled it out of the fire again and slipped the newly roasted shell off. It was then that he stuck the marshmallow insides into the fire once more. "My record is five roastings of one marshmallow," he told her proudly.
