The last look around the empty apartment was a bit depressing, but Alfonz was glad that he had reconsidered moving completely. The job opening helped that a bit, though, with the fact that he no longer needed to find another apartment, rather he had to just move most of his stuff from this one into Hogwarts and then back again when there were holidays. It wasn’t as if he had that much stuff any ways.
As he was closing the door, he hesitated and then went back in. There was something that he was forgetting, but what was the unanswered questioned. Looking all around the emptiness there was nothing, not a thing that he had forgotten. Alfonz went back to his front door and went out closing it behind him and locking it.
It had been a week since he was hired at Hogwarts, and his coach had already announced his departure of the team for a while for a new job. He explained it as if it was more a leave of absence than an actual quitting of the team, and for that Alfonz was grateful. It meant that he’d have a spot when he returned to Quidditch, which he fully planned on doing. It would only be a matter of days that the articles would be out on him, and his popularity upping all over again. And to think, he thought he had been pretty good about keeping his personal and private life stashed away from the prying eyes of the press.
Alfonz sighed and started down the hallway toward the staircase to leave Wendelring, telling himself that he’d be back and that whatever he forgot would be there when he returned. It bothered him though, as he started down the stairs towards the exit that he felt as if there was something needing to be done. Alfonz tried to shrug if off himself as a flash of Shay came into his mind. Wasn’t that over? Did it matter? Alfonz stopped himself on the staircase and rubbed his eyes with a free hand. He only wished now that another could fill his thoughts to replace the thoughts of her…

Sora rarely left his room in the Wendelring, only leaving to do a "job" as he was used to calling it. 'Ordered Murder' had such a grim ring to to it.
Ever since Ivy moved out to places unknown to him, she was a blossoming model after all, his apartment became cluttered and dreary, a sad phantasm of what it was like before. Happiness had left his room and now became a place where Sora liked to brood. And brood he did.
He ran a somewhat shaky hand through his frazzled mane of dark red, sanguine hair before moving his hands towards his face, feeling the small whiskers of his unshaven chin. He looked at himself from the mirror. He was currently sitting on an old wooden chair that looked like it had seen a millennia of use. He was facing his battered oak desk with numerous pictures and a small circular mirror on top of it. Sora focused back on his image upon the mirror. There were noticeable rings under his eyes and his usual chipper and handsome features were now replaced by a gaunt, haunted look.
He was hardly Sora anymore. He was an Auror. An elite hitwizard. One who killed for the good of his country.
Such a lovely job.
His eyes flitted to the many pictures of old mates and friends that littered his desk. His eyes stopped towards a particular one, a picture where happiness glowed in his eyes. It was a normal wizarding picture, one where the contents of it moved. This particular picture was taken in the last year of Hogwarts. In the picture, his arm was around a certain brunette beauty, giving a million galleon grin. It was a picture of him and his girlfriend, posing like the two lovebirds they are.
They were. Had been. Before. Past tense. Ex-girlfriend.
Suddenly feeling like the walls of his room were getting smaller, Sora stood up suddenly, causing the picture of him and Brittany to topple forward. He grabbed his black dragonhide jacket on top of his unmade bed and made his way towards the door, opening it and closing it with a slam.
He winced at the sound, looking up and down at the hallway, hoping no one heard it. Seeing no one, he slipped his jacket on and made his way towards the stairs. One flight down, he spotted a man simply standing at top of the next case of stairs, his back towards him, blocking Sora's path out. The man looked like he was a million miles away, probably lost within his thoughts. Unfortunately for him, Sora was not a man with patience,
"Hey...move." Sora said bluntly and rudely, making his inner-Slytherin smile with pride.
((sorry if i rambled lol i really didnt know how to start it heh))

A distant sound from behind him, Alfonz could only think that it was just an echo of the past. Where he had gotten so deep all of a sudden, he couldn’t quite figure out but the footsteps coming near to him still did nothing to make him move. Maybe it was Shay? Leaving her apartment to go to work or something. For she had a job, ambitions, a way of life that she was taking a hold of an living……without him.
Any other time, Alfonz wouldn’t have cared, but after their last meeting and the way it ended, he still found no closure. It was times like these he wished he didn’t really have a heart.
A voice behind him, ordered him out of the way and Alfonz just looked over his shoulder and glared. It was true, he hadn’t been moving, but what in bloody hell was this man’s tone about. Alfonz moved to the side of the stairs to make room for the useless git. “Manner’s much?” Alfonz growled at the guy and just stared. He wasn’t about to move anymore than he just had, and frankly didn’t care.
Maybe Alfonz was just looking for some unwanted company...
….though actually, it was more like he was looking for just something to take his mind off of life.
Either way, he wasn’t moving.

Sora made a noise that sounded like a mixture of a deep growl and a sigh. He hated people who wasted his time, especially people who lived in the same area as him,
"I do have manners. Care to see?" he said, letting the words linger in the air. He took another step down the stairs, quelling his annoyance, hoping to just pass him. He took another step, then another, till he was just one step away from the man. He slowly passed him, making sure to bump the guy's shoulder roughly on the way down. He looked back at him, hoping to get a last glare or scowl towards the man.
What he saw made his foot hover over the last step of the staircase. He couldn't explain it but he saw something in the man's eyes that he could relate to.
It was pain.
Blasted conscience, Sora thought with a frown as he continued to look at the man before shaking his head out of his reverie,
"...Sorry 'bout that. Didn't mean to jostle you like that, Mr...?"

A complete challenge gave way and as Alfonz allowed the man to pass him, it was confirmed in Alfonz’s mind with the boy purposely running into him. “Watch it…sonofa…” Alfonz muttered under his breath and held himself back from going after the kid or doing something stupid. He was now employed somewhere that wouldn’t allow anything like the Diagon Alley incident…then again, maybe it would. Alfonz thought really long and hard, but then determined that no matter what, the stairway wasn’t the best place to whip out his wand, so instead he just stood there, defeated like.
All he needed was to loose his temper and get thrown into Azkaban or something, which would leave him further away from Celina than ever. No, he wouldn’t allow his buttons to be pressed. Alfonz scolded himself for almost losing his temper over nothing. It must have been the stress, and the loss that he was feeling. He shifted, and decided it was time to leave when the boy turned around; this realization and everything only taking moments to realize, though it was probably not as wordily thought out.
...Sorry 'bout that. Didn't mean to jostle you like that, Mr...?
“Don’t worry about it. You wouldn’t have jostled me, if I didn’t allow it.” Alfonz never answered anyone completely. The boy didn’t know him, then it was a god sent in Alfonz’s mind. Shay had even told him that everyone she had talked with at her work knew his name in one fashion or another. The draw backs of being a Quidditch player.
Alfonz took a minute to examine the specimen in front of him. Absolutely useless. If one was to issue a challenge towards another, then they should follow through. Even Alfonz knew that one, then again, he doubted either one of them really needed to be in the place of where a fight could lead them. At least he knew when to apologize for his faults. And yet, not even his judgments were doing anything for him. Alfonz felt as if he was losing his reason for being...what was happening to him?!
“I was just leaving, any ways," Alfonz said, his voice just as rough, but hardly as threatening as it could have been. He had a life to begin...but then why did he so much want to go back to the one he was leaving...

Sora smirked as the man replied back. Sora was about to ask him why he would allow someone to jostle him but decided to hold his tongue. His snappish mouth was going to be the death of him someday.
Sora began to notice that he was quick to irritate nowadays. Just one small thing had the potential to lead to a wandfight where it would've probably have gotten ugly. He tended to act before he thought out his actions. Such a bad habit that tended to get in the way on jobs.
He shook the cobwebs from his head, berating himself for the few seconds of daydreaming. He took another look at the man upon the steps. The light that streamed from the window caused a shadow to somewhat obscure the man's face. Though, now that Sora had gotten a better look at him, he looked awefully familiar...He just couldn't place a finger on it...
"You look...like someone I've seen before." Sora said, tilting his head as if to look at the guy in a different angle, "What's your name?"

There was no use for this boy, and frankly Alfonz had had enough talking to suit him for a while. It wasn’t until the boy was examining him further, where Alfonz shifted in his place. “Do you have a prob…” Alfonz tried to ask, only to be interrupted by the boy’s questions of who he was.
Alfonz wasn’t too pleased, and even tried to back up into the shadows of the stairwell again. What did it matter who he was? “Jedynak,” he said coolly not really wanting to give anymore of his name away. “I doubt we’ve met.” And it was probably true. With how many articles there had been in the paper about his new employment at Hogwarts, not to mention his Quidditch career just in general, he really hadn’t met anyone, who knew him, personally. It became more annoying than anything else.
“And you are?” Alfonz said to the boy. There was no reason that he couldn’t get back in return what was asked of him, especially since his name gave more away than he wanted it to anyways. No one needed his first, it seemed to be always implanted on the tips of everyone’s brains. At least during the interrogations he had been put through after the Deva attack on Hogwarts, the Aurors didn’t need to know his name.
He’d never forgive Brady for calling out his name…had he no sense how much trouble he could have caused for his family…for Celina? No, what did Brady care about anything unless he was using the fifteen year old in some way. Alfonz’s blood still boiled about that day.

Hmmm, Jedynak. It was a funny-sounding name, Sora thought. He definitely heard of that name before. He racked his mind, trying to find out where he heard that name before. Something deep in the back of his head told him told him that he did indeed hear that name before, probably in the papers. Suddenly, the lightbulb in his head flickered on as he remembered a story in the Prophet. Alfonz...was a new teacher in Hogwarts and was questioned about when the Deva attacked Hogwarts. What he taught, in the school he wasn't sure. Once he got to the Ministry, he'd check the files. Sora liked keeping tabs on people, especially those who lived or visited his building.
"My name is Sora Blake," giving a short yet polite bow of his head, his jade eyes still focused on the man, "Splendid to meet you. I'd love to stay and chat some more but I need to head to the Ministry now. Excuse me." he said, turning his back towards the man as he began to finish walking down the steps to the exit.

((o.O I'm sorry....I have no excuse for not posting.))
Sora Blake
It was a name that Alfonz would keep in the back of his mind, especially as he admitted that he had dealings with the ministry. That was never a place Alfonz wanted to be involved with. It was bad enough his father was an auror there, let alone with the drama that had been stirred up after the Deva invasion. He had to remember to thank his father for directing some of the heat elsewhere as well. Between his father, and his celebrity status, Alfonz had gotten off with nothing but those keeping an eye on him. And now he was walking right back into the bee hive he had just left, telling himself the whole way that it was for Celina....and Celina alone.
"Charmed....I'm sure," Alfonz answered back as the man said it was splendid to meet him. He gave a little snort and watched as the man turned started down the stairs. All he needed was to draw any more attention from the ministry by doing anything stupid with another one of their.....well, he never said he was one of their employees but if he had business there, then Alfonz didn't want to mess with him. Screw up his chances at Hogwarts before he even got back there? Absolutely not.
One last time he looked back at the apartments, barely able to see any of them, including Shay's and he shook his head. There were more important things now than the thought of maybe having feelings for a girl he shouldn't. He wasn't meant to feel....he had to keep reminding himself of that.
Wasn't meant to fall in love....
