It was morning and it was glorious. That was all that Rollo Winner could really think of at the moment. Not that he probably shouldn't be sitting outside of his apartment after he called off. Not that he should have probably dried off completely before pulling on the first white v-neck and pair of jeans he saw. Not about the glass that had cut his foot in moments previous that he should probably be tending to or for that matter that besides the blood dripping from his foot he had water doing the same from his hair and he looked as if he had just been in the midst of a torrential downpour. The shirt clinging to his body didn't bother him and all in all it just didn't matter. All the probables and shoulds just flew over Rollo's head at the moment and all that mattered at the was the cigarette in his hand and the sun as it crept up over the horizon in the distance. It was calm and peaceful a contrast noises from the night before and previous ones at the Cauldron and, as of late, at home when he was home.
His last encounter with Luce had been enough to send him into a even larger downward spiral then usual although he should have seen that coming. His life was filled with one disappointment after another so why should have his relationship with that girl been any different then the rest of it all. It shouldn't have and Rollo knew this so why he had expected anything more was beyond him. If anything it all seemed foolish now and grudgingly any thoughts on the subject drifted away with the cigarette smoke now pouring out from his mouth and nose as he looked into the distance once more. He was a mess at the moment and knew it but needed to get away from the three evils and this was the only place he could do so. He was trapped in a cycle work, cauldron, and then home but today he intended to break that cycle to the best of his ability. It didn't matter what he did or for that matter if he had any company beyond the cat. He just needed to sort it all out or at least try to attempt to.
His apartment didn't use to be one of the evils though but now it was and it made him miserable. He hadn't been able to touch his wooden piano in weeks and the cold stony sound that the ivory keys gave him were of no comfort. They rang through his apartment continuously though and with less and less melody and harmony each time. Rollo was either losing his touch for the instrument or...he didn't know the other option. It was beyond him and at the same time on the tip of his tongue. Whatever it was though remained a mystery to him despite wishing he knew what it was. Bringing the cigarette up to his lips he inhaled once more and stared out into the distance wondering what he looked like to any passersby. Other then a train wreck of course. As his foot steadily let a bead of blood drop from his foot onto the road and he couldn't help but watch it because for some reason it was hypnotizing. Pulling his knee up into his chest Rollo turned his gaze to the horizon trying to forgot while at the same time trying to figure a way out of this mess. Even though there probably wasn't one. It didn't matter though right now though all that mattered was it was the morning and it was glorious.
