What a day. Hopkins had a number of good deals on the side street of Knockturn that day; some of what she needed, some of what she didn't need, but bought anyway because the deal was too good to resist. Cloak laden down with a number of more risque ingredients, bags in her hands with technically legal ingredients, the woman thought her trip from Hogwarts made a bit of sense. If she had wasted a trip, the woman would've been livid, but one of her dear suppliers had pulled through finally. There'd been a number of weeks where she couldn't get anything at a good price, black or white market. When she couldn't even find it for the right price, it meant a world of trouble. Sure, the Headmistress might not be so keen if she knew where the supplies was really coming from, but Tapia's eye was never failing on ingredients she needed.
Even so, they needed particular ingredients to brew certain potions in order for students to stay ahead of the game for end of the year exams. The fact of the matter was, Tapia got those ingredients for good prices. What was even better was she had a bit of inside help as well, she fed information to a few of the Ministry workers if they kept off her back about her purchases. It really was all about knowing the right people.
On her way out, she decided to stop by the Leaky Cauldron for a pick-me-up to warm her before she left for a slight chill, and she had a business deal to make with another as was. It all worked out perfectly.
Taking a corner booth far from a number of others, Desideria and her business associate talked their way through two courses and a number of drinks before an outcome, and it was a big one. For a small fortune, he would gain access to a number of her suppliers, only, she was choosing which ones. Thankfully he wanted a list, and she gave him one, of her least favorites.
Raising her glass for one last toast to their deal, she stood and went to make her way toward the back so she could apparate away, and found herself stuck trying to get around a small gathered crowd. With the alcohol in her system, she had a hard time focusing on the faces, but a couple seemed familiar, and rather than push her way through, she paused and squinted her eyes at two of the six faces, surely something would come...

"We're doing good," Arianna replied, meaning the Torques' little family was doing okay. With such a large group around, she wouldn't say much more than that. She was coming to realize just how used to her parents' lifestyle she had become and that Nic couldn't currently bring in that sort of money. It wasn't like they were hurting for money, but Nic had become a bit sensitive to that aspect and Arianna didn't discuss that with anyone but her husband and sometimes her parents. Besides, that might be too much information to discuss with someone she hadn't seen or had any sort of contact with in such a long time.
"It's nice to see you," she gave Drew a warm, sincere smile and clearly wanted to say more. It was getting late, though, and more people seemed to be crowding around the table. "I'd love to stay and chat, but this little one," she poked Jadon on the nose and the baby giggled, "has been up too late the last couple of nights....And, as you can probably see, her mum would probably be better off going straight to bed before anything else happens." Arianna could just imagine the bed breaking down the middle within moments after she lay down to go to sleep tonight. "You should stop by sometime, though. We've moved back into the flat above the studio, if you remember where that is. Its usually just myself and Jadon during the day, though, so it could get pretty boring if you don't like laughing at all the trouble she gets herself into."
Waving goodbye to the little crowd, Arianna turned only to find herself looking at yet another face. Slightly familiar, but not as easily remembered as Drew's. Arianna thought it was only one of those moments where you felt a connection to someone but knew the two of you had never met before. She said a swift hello and offered a small smile to the man's child as she passed by. There were people waiting for a seat and she needed to collect her things from the booth she and Jadon had previously occupied.

Rollo continued to feel smaller and smaller by the second. Shoving more and more achohol down his throat motioning for more shots his thoughts rushed through his head. Rollo really didn't know how to deal with it and now with the small group that was growing in front of him he couldn't escape. He was stuck in the booth and even if Rollo had the guts to try and excuse himself he wouldn't be able to get out. Let alone he felt that it would be rude to Andrew as he'd only be going straight over to the bar. With a sigh he holed himself up in the corner down shot after shot so he could at least try to speak. The man from across the bar came with his child and said hello. Rollo managed a weak smile and nod.
"Hi um how are you?"
Rollo didn't know what else to say at the moment besides that. He was just overwhelmed to the point of no return. His comfort zone was gone and he was positive it wasn't returning anytime soon. When the girl left it was a small relief for Rollo and it at least felt easier to breath but then another face appeared. This one he didn't know either. Sighing Rollo watched as she she stopped and watched their small group. Rollo didn't know what to do and was drunk enough now not to care and gave a small wave to the woman. What else could he do in such a situation?

"Good to see you too, Ari," Drew told the girl as she started to leave. "Hey, tell Nic I said hello, okay?" It looked like she had her hands full with the squirmy baby and the mess down her front. If it had been him, he probably would want to get out there too... or actually, last time he had spilled on himself at the Leaky Cauldron, things had ended up pretty well. Then again, he didn't have a kid to deal with then.
One left and another familiar face came forward... not a Ravenclaw this time, but still a very familiar one. As he grabbed up Paquito and offered the kid a high five, Drew looked over at Tapia who definitely looked like she had been trying a few too many potions. "Professor? You okay?" he asked, also noticing Rollo down a couple more shots. Well, this could be interesting...

Hikaru gave a high five at Drew as the man had taught and smiled pleased to have found him there, uncle Drew always a funny company. Then looked back at daddy and the other people gathering around, his eyes caught sight of another child like him but whoever it was left with the mommy too soon to caugh a real interest upon them.
On the other hand Drew's other companion looked more interesting to see at, with that strange look on his face as if he had been smelling one of his diappers for long time... and then a woman appeared with a similar expression on her face... And Hikaru worried for a little bit looking down at his pants... Did he smell?

Franco felt rather uncomfortable as the way things were going as for what he could see he had interrupted some kind of reunion and made people uncomfortable as well. He gave a look at Drew wondering if there were something wrong, but Drew wasn't looking at him, distracted with Hikaru and another woman that suddenly approached too.
"Uhmm... Franco, Franco Masuoka" he replied the drunk man though not really expecting an answer, for what he could see probably the man did not really seem to be interested in chatting, but as Drew failed to introduce them he though he must say something.

Blinking furiously, Desideria watched the woman with child disappear into another area, yet she was unable to think of a name to place with face. Surely she had known the young woman, or perhaps not. The portly woman had only been teaching at Hogwarts for a small while by now and she hadn't had too much time to properly memorize a number of faces just yet, but she knew one of those two she'd stopped to stare at were familiar. And if memory served correctly, she'd written something of a recommendation for that particular face, and yet had heard nothing back on whether the young man had gotten into the program or not.
"Mr. Thornton?" she spoke suddenly, turning her dark orbs on the young man, her voice sharp as ever, but never threatening. Taking a moment to gather her bearings, the woman closed her eyes as a sway came on, before shaking her head to rid of the wave and focusing on the young man in the booth, completely ignoring she, too, was butting in on a conversation. And while she tried to keep focus on Andrew, her eyes wandered over to the other young man in the booth, not sure she knew him, but watching him down his drinks like water was going out of style.
As for the other young gentleman standing with child in arms, Desideria tried to clear her mind and remember his face as well. He was sticking around long enough for her to get a good look at him, unlike the young woman who'd quickly left. "Hoooow's that prag...progrem, prrrrooogrrraaammm coming?"

Rollo continued to pound shots and with each hit he became a little more loose. Bit by bit and piece by piece the liquor was breaking down his walls but the process was a slow one. Rollo threw caution to the wind at this point not caring that the child was there. Taking out the pack of cigarettes he lit one and inhaled deeply. The nicotine high gave his head a light feeling and leveled him out some more. The nervous wrecked facade now disappeared from Rollo's face and a calm one appeared. Rollo turned and gave a small wave of his hand to the other man now sitting next to him.
"Nice to meet you I'm Rollo Winner."
Rollo watched now as the woman seemed to have trouble focusing in on anything what so ever. Before the slurred words Rollo recognized her actions immediately as ones of a sloppy drunk. Rollo wished he could feel bad about it but knew that wasn't possible seeing as over the past three years he had put up with more then enough of them. He was trying to just be drunk and some what miserable while they were trying to be drunk and stupid. Rollo didn't know how people could deal with such things as that. With a sigh and another inhale of the cigarette he let the thoughts drift away swallowing the smoke along with another shot.

Hikaru watched the pair of strange adults with some curiosity. And it was a surprise for him that that woman really was worse at talking than him.
"Alla! alla! comin! comin!" he replied to the woman randomly where they had came from raising his arm and pointing at where the brick wall were then looked at the man as started smoking looking how his blew smoke from his mouth.
"mmmph.. me me me! yo! yo!" he said pleading the weird guy for the cigar, after have watched the man for some minutes, he also wanted to suck that and blew funny smoke.

"It's going well. Tough, but well," Drew answered, thinking he probably should have sent a note to the professors updating them, considering they had helped him out and all. It was just he had gotten word late in the summer and then it felt like it was non-stop working. It wasn't of course, and he made a mental note to drop the four professors an owl at least thanking them.
He looked over at Rollo who had downed another couple of shots as well as lit up a cig (Drew still couldn't bring himself to use the British slang for that one). Rollo seemed to be getting a little on the sloppy side, but it was Tapia who seemed to be the worse off of the two. Of course, she wasn't smoking in front of small children. "Es malo para niños. No es para tu," Drew told the kid softly, putting the little boy's hands down and looking over at Franco to see if he wanted to take over.
"Professor, these are my friends Franco and Rollo, and this is Franco's son,Hikaru," Drew introduced the other males at the table, using Paquito's real name this time around. "Did you want to sit down and join us?"

Franco just watched at the baby boy not really sure of what to do in that case other than what Drew had already done. Though it was probable that just saying no to Hikaru would not be enough and as quick he tried to find out something to distract the boy from the cigar.
He was just looking into his pockets for one of those candies the shop keeper gave to them after buy the costume when Drew's invitation came.
"Uh? Oh! uhmm... well... Am I not interrupting something?" he asked as Drew's companion did not seem to happy of have them there. He just gave Drew a look like wondering if he REALLY was welcome there while his hand which was searching his pockets finally found what he was looking for.
"There" he said softly to the kid as handed him a loli "this is yours"

Turning to look at the much, much younger face, Desideria wondered if she'd known the man with the child. But he didn't look at all familiar, however, she understood the young voice. "Oou comin frrrmmm dare?" Was it odd to understand a child and speak in return as though you knew what you were saying but were unable to translate it into words others would understand? It was like speaking a foreign language no one else knew, it came natural to a few, but received looks of oddity from others when spoken.
"Nnnnow, don't tell 'im thhhhat Thornton, it'll on'y mmmmmmmake 'im waaaaant it moooore," she scolded softly, not even realizing he was speaking in her mother's tongue though she answered in English. While the woman had never had a sibling or child to speak of, she knew how the youngin's worked. You tell them no, and no means yes. "Niiice, to meet all of you."
The invitation was a welcome one, though she'd just been passing by. Quickly, she patted the material over the pocket with the less legal of her ingredients, ensuring their safety, checked her bag, and nodded to the young man. She had time before she was expected back at the school.

Hikaru looked at the loli rather disappointed. In other circumstances he would have jumped up of joy but now was different, he knew he can't make smoke coming out a loli and he wanted to blow smoke out his mouth like the funny man.
He looked at the three adults in turn just playing with the loli on his hands wondering if REALLY they were being serious of giving him just a loli instead that funny smoking stick... Then his eyes spotted the woman checking on her bags and her pockets and he leaned forward thinking for some seconds she was going to give him something too... and even when she stopped lurking into her bag, he still kept looking at her expectant, thinking that in any moment she would give him something.

Drew made room for Franco at the table and laughed at Tapia's concerns. She was right, but he had a feeling Paquito was still little enough that it would work... plus the lolli was a good substitute if he wanted something to suck on.
But then he noticed the kid's face and kind of felt bad. The little guy was too small for dragon pops too which would have given him a same kind of effect. Too bad they were spicy. The best Drew could do was offer Paquito a chocolate frog. It wouldn't make smoke, but maybe the jumping candy would amuse him.

Rollo waved over more shots now getting full of piss was the only way he could manage or at least attempt to do so in this situation. The child he realized though was jumping at his cigarette motioning towards it as if he wanted it. Rollo did not intend to share with anyone at the moment especially not with this small child but since it was in fact around halloween he did have some candy on him. They weren't common in Europe and were more so to slow his oral fixiation on cigarettes then anything. Pulling out the candy cigarettes from his pocket he tore open the cellophane wrapper and opened up the top. Removing one he took it and stuck it in the boys mouth. He didn't know how this moment of kindness hit him or why exactly he stuck it right in the boys mouth but it amused him none the less. Winking at Andrew he hoped the boy wouldn't be able to understand him as he inhaled the smoke from the cigarette.
"No worries mate it's not real."
While he hoped it wouldn't encourage the habit on the boy Rollo knew that for the moment it would calm him and do a much better job then any other substitute would. It was for all intents and purposes something that would keep the boy calm or so Rollo hoped. As the woman now joined there table more shots came and Rollo downed them knowing now that......well hoping that maybe he could manage some conversation with the people at the table.
