A dreary drizzle greeted Drew as he woke up late Saturday morning. He usually enjoyed the rain, but he had slept poorly the previous night and the precipitation only put him into a funk. Still in his pajamas, his hair sticking up at odd angles, he thumped down the stairs in his bare feet, raising his blue t-shirt slightly to scratch his belly as he gave a loud yawn.
He took a moment to stretch out, reaching his hands up to grasp the beam that hung over the bottom step and letting his back crack before stepping down into the common room, just missing the sticky mess on the floor.
Drew saw it as his rather large foot came down next to it and the near miss still made him jump onto the nearby chair with a yelp. Safely away from the mess, he looked over at it with a grimace, figuring it was a hairball from one of the Ravencats. It wasn't the best present to receive in the morning.
His wand was still upstairs by his bed, but he used a bit of wandless magic to move the glob into the rubbish bin, gagging though he never actually touched it. The spot now cleaned, Drew stayed on his perch, taking a moment to enjoy the added hieght, before deciding to make his way to the windowseat via the sofa and bookcase.

Tianne had too slept terribly the previous night. It had basically poured for most of it, but Tianne was having just plain odd dreams. It was unlike the girl to have nightmares, but sometimes Tianne was just to tired, and went to sleep, only to be greeted by something that she found horrifying. Last night, Tianne was accompanied by spiders, snakes, and many different kinds of creepy crawlies. Much different to her usual happy dreams, lets just say that Tianne did not sleep well at all. The brunette had risen at her usual time, knowing that she had no plans, and there was nothign else for her to do.
Tianne groaned as her flicked her hair back. Glancing out the window, the girl found that it was still drizzling, much to her dismay, and she was goign to be inside for quite a while. Those clouds didn't look like they'd be going anywhere anytime soon. The fifth year spat out her mouth full of toothpaste into the sink, and began brushing at her front teeth once again. She liked the Ravenclaw bathrooms, (although she hadn't actually seen any other houses) as se found them to be quite useful when it came to cleaning herself up. Looking back into the mirror, |Tianne felt her damp hair, and pulled her toothbrush out of her mouth. Taking a while to get ready was not usually something that the girl did.
Now that she was ready to leave the bathrooms, she picked up her toiletries bag and her toothbrush, and, slinging it over her shoulder, grinned. Hopefully there was someone in the common room now, as there seemed to be no movement in the bathroom. Stepping into the common room, Tianne grinned over at Drew, who was the only person that seemed to be awake. Still smiling, the fifth year greeted the boy. "Good morning. It's nice to see that I'm not the only early riser."

Drew was in the process of jumping from the chair to the end table and almost missed his mark when a voice startled him. Fortunately, the only thing that fell was the table lamp which landed on the floor with a crash. He looked up at Tianne with a sheepish grin before turning serious.
"I'd watch out if I were you," he warned her, pointing at the blue carpet. the game probably would have worked better in Gryffindor, but he wasn't going to be choosy. "Lava will hit there soon enough."

Although it wasn't really early, and Tianne had been in her bed for at least 10 hours, she was still tired. Yawning, the girl sighed, knowing that she had no idea what the reason for her lethargy could be. Maybe it was from her lack of sleep, but it could also be that she was sick. Tianne giggled as she saw Drew make his jump from the chair, returning the boy's grin with a wink. She wasn't really sure whether or not the seventh year was joking about the lava, but decided to be wary of the comment anyways, taking a seat and crossing her legs underneath her, so she wasn't touch the ground at all. Finally, after Tianne got comfortable, she looked up at the boy, and in a puzzled tone, spoke, "Lava?"

"It's a bit on the blue side, but don't let it fool you any," Drew told her with a tease visible only in his eyes. He could have easily transfigured the carpet into a boiling molten mess, but sometimes just pretending was more fun... not to mention less dangerous. Besides, how much longer did he have to goof off like a kid? In eight short months, he was going to have to buckle down and be responsible. Might as well take full advantage of being a kid while he still was...

Tianne was really confused. Usually, the girl's intelligence broke through at this point, but this time, Tianne wasn't sure what to believe. She was friends with Drew, but they weren't that close, and she had no idea when the boy was joking and when he was seriously warning her. There was a chance that lava could come, but she didn't think that Drew would do that. "Blue side..," She mumbled, realising that the boy was just goofing around. "Haha." Tianne laughed, grinning at the boy's practical joke. A feeling of doubt still swept through her, but sthe fifth year chose to ignore it.

Drew made the leap from the end table to the desk, scattering someone's work onto the floor and glancing down at it as it fluttered onto the carpet. "Bummer," Drew commented, hoping it wasn't all that important. In his game, it was now burned up, but in reality, he had probasbly shuffled the order and it would take a while to sort it all out. Later on, he'd pick it up and try to sort through the mess.
"So... what are your big plans for today, Tianne?" Drew asked the prefect as he gaged his next move to the low chest that was pushed up against one of the sofas.
