As she fastened the last corner of the banner up above the door frame, Tianne pocketed her wand and stepped back to marvel at her work. With a large table running down one side of the room, blue and silver balloons blown up all around the room, Tianne was fairly happy with her effort to decorate the common room, even if the changes were pretty subtle. She had the last period of the day off, which gave her time to set it up, perfect for a party, before anyone could come and intrude on her designing. In the corner sat an mp3 player, specially made so it would suit the magical environment, and borrowed from Matilda Wentworth, playing a variety of music, which created the party atmosphere.
Earlier in the week, Tianne had sent out an invitation to all the the Ravenclaws, inviting them to attend this party. But why was she having a party in the first place? It may sound a bit silly, but she felt like it. She felt like celebrating, even if there wasn;t much for her to be happy about. She felt like Ravenclaw needed a little get together, as Tianne knew that the house morale and social levels were slowly dropping. Sure, the grades were still up there, but they needed a social life too.
Besides that, Tianne felt like she hadn't been doing much for the house by way of Prefect. Her job was to do things like this, and be someone that people could rely on, and like, and well, Tianne wasn't sure that all the people in her own house even knew her name. So with a little help from the house-elves, Tianne had gotten the place party-perfect. All she had to do was wait and see if anyone came, hopefully people would choose her and her party over homework. After all, it was a Friday night, they had the whole weekend to revise and study.
Taking a seat on one of the more comfortable chairs, Tianne smiled, and listened to the music that was currently playing.
