Brittany snapped to attention as Corey called the timeout. Looking from one of her players to another, then down to the Slytherin team she knew what he was thinking. What had they had been thinking before she didn't know however. They were playing this game like they were Slytherins, going for the cheap shot when the other team had stopped. She was thankful that Corey hadn't gotten so into the game to have lost his mind over it. With a sigh, she looked from Keagan to Anna who were nearest her and jerked her head in the direction of Corey. As she turned her broom around she also signaled with her right hand for Deryn to come in.
Approaching Corey, she looked down feeling bad about losing her head like that. "Good call..." Brittany told him, gazing back up at the boy. Bending around to see Sora and the Slytherin huddle she wanted to go and see if he was alright. Her thoughts were interupted at the time by a sharp pain that made her wince and grab ahold of the broom tightly with her right hand. When she had turned around, she turned on her left side which had collided with Sora. Trying to move her left arm arm to grab her side, she let out a squeak of pain for her arm this time.
A contorted look on her face, she tried to straighten her self up. Brittany was too stubborn to take her own self out even though she was hurting. Attempting to slide by it by playing it off, she just sat there as if it was a quick spasm but nothing more.

The words from Brittany meant something, but he was onyl doing what was right. It was up to the ref whether the goal should count or not, but, he wasn't phasing on that much. "Just doing what's right..." He replied with a small smile as he allowed his gaze to drift toward the Slytherin end.
Honestly he hadn't thought about it the words had just came out, they had been playing no better and with all the yelling and confusion he had seemed to be the only one still actually on rationality. He paralled himself with Brittany and gave a smallnod down to the injured Slytherin.
"See that? Just because the ref ain' called a time out doesn't mean we keep playing, lets have some courtesy guys. We're all decent people."
Sure, he'd seen their Captain squirm, or whatever you called it, but he'd question it right before play resumed, if it resumed. They could always land and forfeit, but he doubted either team would be willing to agree on such terms.

"What the bloody hell is goin' on!?" Deryn hollered as she followed Brittany's signal to come in. Rubbing her should where the Bludger had hit, she stopped behind the rest of her team and looked at the group of Slytherins.
Looking down at the sound of an all-too-familiar voice, Deryn saw Sonja sitting in the crowd. She scoffed and swore loudly, too wrapped up in the game to care. She looked at Brittany and asked again, nicer this time, about what happened. "What's goin' on. Why'd we stop, there was no whistle," she said.

Rael heard Corey call time out and seen Brittney flag down the players. As she swooped in behind Deryn she heard the seeker ask her question. Rael had noticed Brittney twitch, but did not say anything. There was no way she had not been hurt after the collision. "Slytherin chaser got hurt when Brittney stopped him," she replied to Deryn. "And I believe we are stopping out of courtesy to the other team. With or without the whistle it is the right thing to do."

{Eesh, I'm here. Don't assume I didn't call a time out just because I haven't yet been able to post. It really, quite frankly, pisses me off.}
Despite, what everyone thought or said, Ryder had, indeed, called the time out. Whether or not they heard was no fault of his. Only a deaf adolescent would be unable to hear his whistle and by the looks of it, they were all deaf until one of their own called the time out.
"This is a mess," the man muttered as he wandered over to the Slytherin side to look the boy over. While Ryder didn't know much about healing, it was clear something was wrong with the boy's wrist.
"We'll have to get you to the hospital wing," he told Sora. "Unless you'd rather play like this."

((Hopefully this won't be taken the wrong way, but I just wanted to say that my assumption that a time-out was not called was only to avoid God-moding by saying it was. As a writer, I truly did not know what to think, and I wrote accordingly))
It wasn't until Keag pulled back around the hoops that she even saw how badly Sora was hurt, let alone noticed anything else. How was she to know that the Slytherin's initial shots for time-out were warranted. She had been in the game to win, in a respectful manner, and had entered entered a zone aiming for such a result. Perhaps, for a moment, because of that mindset, she had been a deaf adolescent. Either way, it wasn't out of an effort to take a cheap shot that she had continued in play, and when she finally realized what she had done, let alone what it seemed she had done, the girl was nearly in tears. What a mess.
Flying into the huddle of the Lion pride that was now forming, Keagan was coming closer and closer to being unable to hold back a shameful flow of salty tears. When she was finally within earshot, the first thing she heard was Corey's last statement. "I'm sorry if you think I was acting discourteous and indecent, Corey," Keagan spat out, though a tear had escaped her eye. "I don't think it's such a fair assumption to make though."

{Same. Last time we did something without your permission you gave the other team a penalty shot. I just didn't want to mess this up again.}
Reina was releived. It seemed the other team was coming to the senses before the ref, no matter what he thought. Reina relaxed they weren't going to lose, because of the other team having a player up on them. Reina glanced over and backed up when Brittany flew over; she was trying to be decent by letting the girl stand near her boyfriend. It was a good thing too for Reina saw what happened to her shoulder, but Reina truly didn't care. If they had a domestic violence relationship that's them.
"He's not playing like that. I override any decision he was going to make. He's going to the hospice wing and I'll find an alternate to take his place. We just need like 5 or 10 minutes to gather the person and get them into their robes."
Reina flew over to Charlie and pulled her away from the crowd.
"We need to fight an alt for Sora and someone to take Sora to the hospital wing."

Anna turned her broom around and went with the rest of the team. She felt really bad about playing when someone from the other team was injured. However, she didn't know that it was that bad. The other though that bothered her was that by still playing, she felt like they were using Slytherin tactics. Looking up at the injured player, she waited for him to say what he was going to do.

(I was just in a very bad mood when I wrote my last post.)
Charlie scowled as Reina as she pulled her off to the side. At least now there was some kind of help coming in. "Fine," She said simply to Reina's words, and scanned the Slytherin crowds. "Let's get a firstie to take Sora, I guess. But--" She squinted at the benches. "Where's the alts?"

Sora looked up at the ref, still cradling his broken wrist as he tried to not move it at all, "Can't you do something that'll immobilize it for the remainder of the game till I can go to the hospital wing. I'll be able to play the rest of the game-" he looked over to Charlie, "-unless you want an alt to play for me, that is..."

"The real question is," Charlie said as she returned to him, "Do you think you can handle it? Tell me the truth. 'Cause if you play and you start sucking, then I ain't giving you no mercy." She narrowed her eyes at him, waiting for an answer. Her hopes were set up high, as she wanted to win a game.

Sora shrugged, "I've played under worse conditions. I played fine on all...well, most of them. You only really need to have one good arm to play Chaser so...yeah, I'm up for it." he said, grinning, though wincing slightly as he moved his injured wrist slightly.

Charlie let herself put her trust on him. Nodding, she said, "Fine." And she turned to the ref. "No alts needed here. Just... checking the status and stuff." The dulling pain in her shoulder felt more tolerable now, and it made her get back on track. Now if the rest of the game could do the same.

{Isn't saying a character DIDN'T do something also concidered god-modding? At least PM me next time so I know I'm needed} "All I can do is wrap it up for you," Ryder's knowledge of first aide only went so far as boy scout's would. He didn't like the idea of letting the boy play with in injured wrist. He'd probably get a talking-to by the nurse, but that wasn't his problem, was it? He knew how important these games were to the houses. So much so that some would die trying to win the cup.

"Yeah immobilizing it would be right. You can steal catch with your other arm and do the darn thing. Alright, we're back in action."
Reina nodded at the ref signaling they were ready.
"Let's do this!"
