The lesson would be held outside this day, despite the dropping temperatures. A number of crates were lined up by the back door of the hut and the old pumpkin patch had been plowed though and dug up. The lesson would be a messy one today, but she doubted her fourth years would mind much. A large fire was burning nearby to keep everyone warm and Becca was reading her book on the steps of the classroom as she waited for the students.

Jack approached the Care of Magical Creatures classroom at a walk. He thought that he was early and knew that he would be probably the first person to the classroom, but he didn't mind. He would rather be early then late and have the teacher take points away from him. As he approached the spot where it was obvious that the class was going to be held he saw that the professor was sitting on the steps reading something. Not wanting to disturb her he took a seat on a spot of near by grass.

Verina had decided to leave for her Magizoology class fairly early since more often than not she found herself distracted before she ever ended up doing what she'd intentionly set out to do in the first place. At least this way she couldn't be late just maybe a little early. Reaching the class she noticed that so far only the professor was present who seemed to be busy at the moment and a boy who was sitting off to the side.
Deciding to make friends so to speak Verina walked up to him, "Hello," she grinned looking down at him, "I'm Verina thought i'd introduce myself," she said extending her hand to him.

Looking up from his the spot where he was sitting on the lawn he saw a girl making her way over to them. He figured that she must be a transfer student or something, because he hadn't ever seen her around. Not even in any of his classes. "Jack, Jack Roarbitz." he said getting to his feet so that he could shake her hand, "Nice to meet you." He always liked meeting new people and expecially people in his same year. That she was a girl didn't hurt either. "So are you new to the school?" he asked with a smile, after shaking her hand.

Verina took a small step back as he stood up to give him some space, "Pleasure to meet you too Jack Roarbitz," she said with a smile as she called him by his full name, "And i'm Verina Soon-ei Alvarez," she grinned as she shook his hand deciding to give him her full name since initially she'd just given him her first name, "Yup i'm new just transferred here. Still need to see more of the castle. Still getting used to the idea of separate houses and all of that," Verina said since she pretty much just said hi to everyone not really paying attention to what house they belonged to.

"It does take a bit of getting used to." Jack said with a smile thinking about when he had been a first year at the school, "But once you get the moving staircases down your home free." he said with a laugh. OK so this wasn't exactly true. There was a lot more to Hogwarts then it's moving staircases, but at least that was a start. He had had the chance to see pretty much most of the castle in his four years at the school, but knew that there was places that even some of the seventh years had never seen. "So where did you go to school before coming to Hogwarts?" he asked curious about other wizarding schools and what she had done before transferring to Hogwarts.

When he mentioned moving staircases she was reminded of when she'd seen a few do just that, "I kept getting stuck in trick steps and almost falling on my butt actually i did a few times," Verina said with a slight smile rubbing her back with one of her hands remembering she'd have a few nasty bruises.
"The Wizarding Academy in Korea," Verina replied with a smile, "They were alot more stricter so i'd found myself in my fair share of visits to the Headmaster's office," she replied with a sheepish smile.

"Ya it takes a few weeks to get used to jumping all of them." Jack said thinking that it had taken him nearly a half of year to remember all of the trick stairs and what way the staircases moved. It seemed like when he was in the biggest hurry that it never failed he would get caught in one of the stairs or a staircase would go and move on him and he would be on the clear opposite side of the castle that he needed to be on.
"Ya I've had the honor, if you could call it that, to meet my head of house. But fortunately I haven't done anything to land me in the headmistresses office." Jack said with a smile thinking about the reaction he would get from Raynor if he ended up in the headmistresses office, not to mention the trouble he would be in with his father.

"That's the thing we didn't really have head of houses since we were mostly grouped by year and sex. Though each year did have a few teachers who'd check on us from time to time to make sure we weren't doing anything we shouldn't," Verina replied thinking about her old school and how this one might be better in a few aspects, "So i have alot of things i need to adjust to. But i'm hoping it's all to the better," she said with a smile, "So have you always been going here? Or did you go somewhere else before?" she asked genuinly interested since Jack had been the first person she'd actually really talked to since transferring here.

Jack listened to her explain a bit about how her school was ran and thought that Hogwarts had to be ran better and a better environment to learn in, but he was prejudice to his school. Thinking that there was nothing that could top it, but how would he know since it was the only school that he had ever attended and had nothing to compare it to. "Nope. I have always been gone here." he replied to her question, "Ever since I was eleven."

Pat emurged from the castle and walked down to the Care of Magical Creatures classroom/hut. He knew he'd have to get more sleep from now on; he'd had times where he'd been feeling way too tired, on and off, for a while. Nearing the hut, he saw Professor Davenport sitting upon the steps at the entrance to the hut, reading as usual, as well as two other students there, Jack, and Verina, a Gryffindor he hadn't introduced himself to properly yet. However, now wasn't the time. Pat mumbled "Hey guys", then took it upon himself to lie down on the grass a little ways from them, resting his head on his schoolbag, not sleeping, but with his eyes closed. Yep, he'd definitely need more sleep in the future...

Talia walked to where the fourth years would be having their COMC class. She sighed, as the bag on her shoulder bobbed with her as she continued to walk. She offered a small wave to Jack and the Gryffindor girl, and sat down next to Pat on the grass. She let out a small yawn, and was glad she wasn't the only one who was tired. Of course, the chillyness outside was getting to her, and that in the least, would keep her going, and awake, through the class. She had worn a sweater underneath her robes, which made her seem poofier than usual.

Ash was in a good mood today, she had gotten enough sleep for the first time in a long time. She smiled as she saw the rest of the Fourth year class. Waving, Ash flopped down next to Talia and Pat. She set her bag down and stretched a bit, "Beautiful day isn't it?" she said cheerily.
Surprisingly, she was actually looking forward to her classes today, especially the out door ones. The sun was up and the rain clouds gone, she was curious how anyone could be tired on a day like this.

Talia gave a small wave at the sight of Ash, and perked up a bit. She was always glad to see her friends. She smiled and gave a small yawn, "Ya... it's nice." She said. This wasn't exactly like Talia, who loved being outside, and would usually be running around like a little kid. She also loved all sorts of animals. She was just tired, that was all. She put her hands behind her to have some sort of support, and rested on her already tired arms. She was also starting to wonder what they would be doing outside today...

The bell in the clock tower rang the hour and Becca's book snapped shut before the last chime. She stood anad futily brushed her dusty robes off before decending the steps. "We're in back today," she announced, not waiting for the class to follow before she led the way.
Once the students followed, they would see the plowed field and the crates which obviously contained the day's creature.
