Jack laughed. A sudden thought popped into his head. Since she already had a owl named Brownie and a cute dog named Frosty he thought that she could just complete the whole brownie idea and name the cat either sprinkle or nut, that way you would have the decoration, the frosting, and the actual brownie. He knew that Frosty's name wasn't in reference to actual frosting, but it still made him smile. "I got it," Jack said with another laugh, "You could name the cat sprinkle, nut, or some kind of variation."

Verina covered her mouth with one of her hands to stop her laughter at his words, "Nut.... Sprinkle. You have to be kidding?" she said trying her best not to laugh at the idea and the fact that she could now picture both in her mind along with 'Frosty' and 'Brownie'. "You making fun of me Mr. Roarbitz?" she said now relaxing from the former fit of giggles that had threatened to take over.

“Well I said any variation. How about acorn?” Jack said trying to get his laughter under control, but failing miserably. He knew she wouldn’t go for that suggestion either but he couldn’t resist saying it.
“No I’m not making fun of you.” he said trying to sound sincere but not quite reaching it. He thought that the names that she had picked out for her other animals was great, but he just couldn’t let the opportunity pass.

"Acorn!" Verina said pretending to gag at Jack's suggestion, "I think you were closer with sprinkles," she said with a wink. "At least that's more accurate considering he changes colors," she said with a grin as she shook her head slightly at his current silliness.
"Sure your not," she said with a slight roll of her eyes as she looked at him, "Just like your never trying to mess with me. Ha." Verina for a fact that that was far from the truch especially when he was still laughing.

“Sprinkle it is then.” Jack said joking. He had stopped laughing but still wore a large grin on his face. He hadn’t even thought that sprinkles would go with that cat because it changed colors, in fact, he had totally forgot that it had changed colors. This opened up so many more possibilities to him, none of which he could think of at the moment.
He just laughed when she rolled her eyes at him. “I have no idea what your talking about.” he said with a smirk, “I never mess with you and I’m hurt you would say such a thing.” His words didn’t match his tone which was full of amusement.

"HEy! I never said we'd be calling him Sprinkle. That was just all your doing mister," Verina said with a slight laugh. Sprinkle, what a thought and even more what a name. She knew her pets name's were a little silly but that was just too much.
"No idea aye? You really gonna try to pull that one," she said with a grin and a slight shake of her head. "You never do. We both know that that's a lie you always like to mess with me when the opportunity presents itself," Verina said rolling her eyes again. "Your hurt i very much doubt that since we both know you do."

“Ok if not Sprinkle then what?” Jack asked trying to think of a thing that was multicolored in the wizarding world. Curse his writer for making him a pure blood so all of the muggle favorites, like fruit loop, pebbles, and M&M’s, he would have no idea about. Raking his brains he kept drawing blanks until it came to him. It didn’t exactly have anything to do with the color of the cat, but it did have something to do with both of their houses. “How about Ravendor or Gryffinclaw.” Jack said still giving silly names for her to pick from.
“Try. Yep.” he said with a laugh thinking that is was always a good idea to try even though he knew perfectly well that it would never work on her. He had messed with her too much in the past for her to believe him now. It just seemed that the opportunity had presented itself one to many times for her to buy that he wasn’t messing with her. He just grinned when she rolled her eyes at him and said, “Alright. Alright. I do like to mess with you, but what if I was really hurt.”

"Ravendor or Gryffinclaw!" Verina couldn't help giggling slightly at that. Writer of Verina recalls said conversation had with writer of Pat concerning a very similar topic. "You trying to combine our houses silly?" she said with a grin at the thought and at the very names. "If i were to do that think the guy'd be confused as to which house be belonged to," she said with a slight laugh. "Finally you admit it out loud. But darn... no ones around to her said testimony," Verina said taking on a slightly disapointed expression. "And if you really were hurt... Well that doesn't apply since we both know that you aren't hurt so there," she said with a grin.

Jack laughed. He was running out of ideas for names for the little fur ball. “Personally I like Ravendor.” Jack said with an smirk, “That way Ravenclaw is first then Gryffindor.” He was a Ravenclaw so of course he wanted to privilege the house that he was in and that is just what Ravendor did. “The way it should be.” he added after a seconds pause just to get to her. He wasn’t being serious about the names, but was just saying what came to his mind and for some reason those names seemed to pop up.
“He wouldn’t be confused. He would know that he belonged to Ravenclaw.” Jack said with a laugh, “Why on earth would he think he belonged to Gryffindor? That would just be silly.” He couldn’t help but saying it. It was too good of an opportunity to just pass up.
“Just the way I like it. Then no one can prove that I ever said it.” he said. He just grinned at the last statement. He wasn’t hurt so she did have a point, but he was still a bit curious about what she would have done had he been. It seemed though that he was going to have to wait and find out at a different time.

"You would because your a Raven," Verina said with a slightly exasperated tone before she shot up in her seat. "Ravenclaw is definitely not first before Gryffindor. We both know its not like that," she said amusement in her voice. "My way is the way it should be and is," she added with a grin.
"He would think he belonged to Gryffindor because he will and it'd be silly for him to think he belonged to Ravenclaw of all houses," Verina added with a slight shake of her head. "He belongs to Gryffindor because i am a Gryffindor and he's a little kitten, suits," she said smiling slightly at him.
"You would," she said with a sigh taking on a slight pout. "Somehow i'll get evidence... eventually," Verina said with a small laugh. She very much doubted she'd be able to get Jack to confess in front of others.

“I’ll disagree with you there. Ravenclaw is definitely first.” Jack joked. He was hoping to get a reaction out of her and he had succeeded. He knew that she wouldn’t stand for him saying Ravenclaw was better than Gryffindor and that is precisely why he had said it. “But I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on that one.” he continued still laughing slightly.
“He can belong to both houses.” he said smiling slightly and wondering briefly what she had meant by ‘of all houses’. Surely she hadn’t meant that Ravenclaw was beneath Slytherin and Hufflepuff in her book, but he decided that he would let it go. He would just make sure that if they succeeded in stealing the kitten that it at least showed some kind of Ravenclaw pride. Maybe he would get it a blue collar or something. So it could prance around the Gryffindor common room and annoy everyone.
“Sure you will.” Jack said with a wink. He made a mental note to make sure that no one was around or with in ear shot when he admitted to it the next time. It would take something short of a miracle to get him to confess in front of others. That or her tricking him in some way.

"Yes i guess theirs no other way around that one. What about we say that both our houses are the best one's? That their even?" Verina asked with a grin as she looked at him. After all considering they were in opposing houses they could both be best. If Jack was a Raven Ravenclaw had to be near the top.
"Okay. Then we got a Deal. He'll belong to both our houses and he'll be both of ours. Deal?" Verina asked with a smile as she extended her hand to him making it somewhat formal. She knew the act of doing that was silly but she didn't really care.
"Of course. I'll get you to.... somehow," she said her eyes twinkling slightly and a mischevious smile taking the place of the former.

“Agreed. Ravenclaw and Gryffindor can both be even and the best houses.” Jack said with a smile wondering just how that was going to work out when they finally faced each other on the Quidditch field, but he assumed they would just have to suspend there ‘both houses are equal’ thing for the day or something and give it their best shot.
“Deal.” he said shaking her extended hand and laughing slightly. He thought that the formality of the deal was quite cute, actually, but thought that the other students in the classroom had to be wondering what on earth they were talking about or planning. That is if they were even paying the slightest bit of attention to what the two were doing or saying, which he doubted they were.
“Yes I’m sure you’ll think of something.” Jack said, with an almost taunting smile, meeting her eyes. He noticed the mischievous grin that was now one her face and wondered briefly if she was already plotting against him. Knowing her though she was. He couldn’t remember ever seeing that kind of a smile on her face when she wasn’t scheming or planning something. He would just have to be even more careful about admitting to anything when they weren’t alone.

"At least to us they will be since i very much doubt our house mates would agree wholeheartedly with us," Verina said with a small laugh and smile. Knowing just how much pride her fellow Gryffindor's had she doubted very much they'd see eye to eye with her on this issue. But didn't hurt if her and Jack at least thought they were to themselves.
Her grin broadened as Jack shook her hand as he went along with the formality of it all. "So the little guy is ours," Verina said kinda liking the idea of that. "Mmm seems now we have a second thing that's our's," she said with a soft smile thinking back to her haven in Wales that they now shared.
"Uh huh," Verina replied the twinkle in her eye remaining as she bit her bottom lip slightly. "I think i can get you to admit such a thing sooner or later with people around," she grinned before gazing toward the front of the class, "Though you couldn't do the same to me," she teased.
