As Beni was done with dragging, she arrived at Deej and Brittany. "Look at the pretty flower I picked!" She expertly put Lianna in the middle of circle of upperclassmen and presented her like a china doll or like a hostess showing off a muggle kitchen appliance.

Drew grinned into her kiss, loving the feel of her lips on his. He gave a deep sigh and let himself get lost in her scent. For that brief moment he considered skipping the dance and whisking her away someplace where they could be alone. Instead he just smiled down at her, enjoying his thoughts of a private evening.
Another sigh and he shook himself out of it. "You ready?" he asked, offering his arm to her.

Brittany grinned down at the younger year. She was really cute tonight with her little yellow dress on. Lianna seemed scared out of her wits, however, but who could blame her. She was standing in the middle of three people that were five years older than her. Looking up at Beni she couldn't help but laugh as the girl seemed to gleem.
"Well, don't you look pretty Lianna..." Brittany greeted the girl.

And so the worst thing that could happen, happened early, she'd been dragged to the center of attention. So much for a low unnoticed profile. Oh well, it was definitely too late to turn back now. When the 'firstie-napping' stopped, she found herself again nervously biting the inside of her lip.
This was not what she'd intended, not at all. Not in any form. all she wanted was to watch. Watch, that was it. But, fate and luck were her enemies tonight or so it seemed. Nervously, awkwardly she gave a small, feeble wave, all the while wishing she could disappear, her face turning the slightest pink from the embarrassment.

Christina Faden sighed lightly as she approched the Great Hall. She had absolutely no idea for why she was even going to the Yule Ball. She had absolutely no date or anything. She shrugged. Oh well, at least it would actually give her something to do instead of spending the time up in the common room, or the dorm.
Christina was wearing a light turquoise dress. It was a spaghetti strap dress that reached down to a little bit above her knees. On her feet, she had on a pair of turquoise sandals. Her brown hair was up in a messy bun, with two strands hanging down that were curled. She had on a light layer of eye shadow and eye liner. She had on a pair of silver earrings.
Christina pushed open the doors to the Great Hall. She looked around the room. It indeed had a happy feeling of Christmas in it. Of course, it isn't entirely happy if the individulas whom go to the Ball. She let out a short sigh, and looked around the room.

"We ain't biting you. See, Lianna?" Beni assured the girl, but she jokingly leaned forward with her mouth open wide. Pulling back, though, she laughed. "At least, we're trying not to."

"Yes the only one you might have to look out for is Dan here. You see, he comes off all nice with those pretty blue eyes. But once you turn your back...." Brittany jerked her head forward and acted as if she was going to bite the girl. Pulling back she finished, "that mean old Slytherin side comes out."
She was of course, just teasing. But first years were gullible and cute when they were scared. Smiling innocently at the girl, she winked at Beni and Dan. Poor girl was surrounded with no way out.

Mean Slytherin side? She'd seen enough of that to have her filling, and thus that was reason enough to try and shrink away. But that was impossible, as they were triangulated about her, any and all means of escape, blocked or out of reach. She could only hope for support. Support that wouldn't come till much later like all the other cavalry's did.
As the older girls took their respective turns leaning close, teeth bared, she naturally backed her head away. This was not how she planned on spending he r evening and she wish dearly she was a ghost, as words, were not coming to her lips.
What honestly could an eleven year old say at this point?

Dan looked at the girl and suddenly had a flashback... his younger sister had looked just like her, and four years ago, she was also 11, and looked quite cute in yellow. But that sister, unlike his other commited sucide. He decided right there and then to not bug the poor girl, only to make him relapse memories.
"Oh but Brittany is only kidding, for I do not bite people's heads off." He gave Brittany a stern look. "Don't worry, I won't bug you, for I don't bug cute little girls, unless they tattle." He said with a slight grin, looking the frightened look across the girls face.
Dan turned to Brittany with a smirk across his face, "Pretty blue eyes do I? They are in place at the furthest table near the end... I worked all night on those, and they only work for fifteen minutes." He grinned slightly evily, and turned back to Benni. "Nice to meet you Beni."

Beni nodded at the Deej (yes, she would call him that with the article and all), realizing that she had bowed out and back into the conversation several times.
Looking at Lianna, she asked, "How's it going since that day that I caught you? You haven't been trying to go back, have you?" She smirked. She would have been proud of the girl if she did. Beni knew the kid had to have guts in her.

Brittany was amazed at how Dan was nice to the little girl. Then, he had given her a firm look that told her not to bother with her. She couldn't help but quaintly smile at the way he was so nice to her. However, this didn't last for long cause he was right back to risky business as he turned to only her. Looking to Lianna she told her, "Have fun sweetheart."
Turning her attention to Daniel, she couldn't help but grin. Glancing over at the table he indicated she spotted a pile of chocolates on the end. "This should be very entertaining. Who knows what could happen in only fifteen minutes," Brittany commented innocently.

Dan quieted his voice, making sure only Brittany could hear him, "Oh, alot believe me. Those secret hallways do infact get alot more interesting." He said with a complete look of innocense. "And a load of break-ups too... make sure Sora there doesn't eat one, because if he looks at anyone male or female, he will fall in love with him. And with my luck, he's gonna end up looking at me."
"And if noone will eat them, I will with my cat on my lap." He said with his sheepish grin. "Until a barf them all up being lactouse-intolerant and all." He looked slightly crest-fallen. "Poor me, missing out on one the joys of life."

Brittany furrowed her forhead at his comment about Sora. How had he known that they were going out? Not that she minded at all, but she didn't remember telling him. Shrugging it off cause of the fact that she could careless, she sighed. A smile reappearing again when Dan said that last thing.
Laughing a bit she whispered, "I don't really think I would mind. Since I know he would just be under the love potion anyhow. But I'd just have to get revenge once he started paying attention to me again."

Melody would have to admit that today, or more tonight, was gearing up to be possibly one of the worst days of her life. And it all started when she was sitting in her dorm, mulling over her terribly fate. As in fact it seemed that her mother was afraid Melody might do the impossible, and disobey her orders, and so Mistress Fields sent Melody a howler telling her exactly how Melody would let down the whole entire family if she did not attend. That startled poor, quiet little Melody more than anything because never before had she recieved a howler in her life from anyone. And she had decided that, whatever she feared at the dance, could not be worse than recieving another howler and she dressed quickly and set off.
Many of the portraits offered her encouragement along the way, apparantly one of the portraits in the Common Room had taken pity on the trembling girl and decided to spread the word. So all along the trip to the Great Hall Melody's ears were greeted with soft compliments, or even little tips. "You look simply beautiful Miss Melody, no need to be worried." "When you're dancing remember to look into your partner's eyes and not down at your feet Miss." "Why you look like a little garden fairie Miss Melody."
And when she silently treaded into the doorway she must have looked like quite the little fairie, and one that would blend into the scenery quite perfectly. For she was dressed in a soft flowy gown of pale pink. It had a much lower neckline, and clung to her slight figure quite a bit more than her normal garments did. Unlike the normal fancy updo's of the time period (I think hehe), Melody had let her black hair fall down her back in soft waves. Adorning the top of her head was a circlet of pale pink flowers; their golden stems intertwining and looking so real it was impossible to tell whether they were or not. She was wearing no jewelry except for a pale pink pendant in the same shape as the flowers atop her head; strung on a thin gold chain so it sat right below he collarbones on her moonlit pale skin.
She had been froze in place in the doorway, looking more like a sculpture than a living breathing girl, as she took in the whole great hall. Melody was never a true fan of pink, but she had to admit that the place looked gorgeous. Of course Melody, never being impressed by expensive and whatnot, found herself absolutely delighted at the sight of the tiny tweeting pink birds that she did not know the name of.
For the first time since she'd even thought of going to the dance she felt relaxed, that is until she heard the sound of someone adjusting some piece of their clothing. Melody looked into a rather appealing corner and headed over, elegantly, but still a scrowl played across her mouth.

Sweetheart, now didn't that one take the cake, or, what ever Christmas time treat there was. Normally she would have retorted that off, somehow, but not here, not now. She merely nodded in reply to Brittany, and became even more confused when whatshisname Slytherin decided to play 'nice boy'.
Not only did such confuse her, but it knida scared her to, as a nice Slytherin was simply unheard of. And unmentioned. Therefore she didn't believe it in the slightest.
"Umm..." She started as she looked around the hall for a 'fun', as Brittany asked her to have, escape. Yet, at the moment she found none. Foiled again.
