Seanna crept out of her room in the leaky cauldron her parents had set up for her before she had to go home to Italy and she was still stuck with that annoying duck that her parents had sent her as a present, which Seanna was figuring now wasn't as much as present but it was more of a hindrance. Seanna got down on her hands and knees as quietly as she could, intent on recapturing her so called pet, but so far the duck got the better off her and the duck had escaped from her grasp and out the slightly open door of Seanna's room.
"Here ducky, ducky" Seanna said, just loud enough as if she thought the duck could hear her. Seanna had yet to find out what sort of protective powers this duck still had, so technically, the duck could very well hear her and Seanna hoped it could, for she hadn't yet seen the duck and if she didn't find it before her parent's came and got her in a week's time, Seanna knew there would be repercussion's from her parent's, after all, they did tell her to take care of the silly duck.

"Miss, does this happen to be your duck?" Eamon said, looking half-amused and half-annoyed at the duck that was currently sitting on the toe of his black boot. He had gone for a drink in the Tavern area of the Cauldron, when the duck had waddled towards him and settled itself on his foot. Then he had seen the auburn-haired girl creeping around calling it.
Eamon refrained from a "In my day..." and lifted the white bird off of his foot and into his arms, ready to hand it to the girl, whether it was hers or not. It huddled itself to his robes, however, quacking plaintively. "Oh dear. It seems to be rather fond of me."

Seanna looked up from the dusty floor of the cauldron and saw a man standing in front of her holding the runaway duck. "Erm yes, that is my duck" Seanna confirmed, getting up from the floor and standing on her feet. "I hope it hasn't annoyed you in anyway" Seanna said to the man and yes the duck did seem to like the man, but Seanna thought the duck was smarter than that and it was just still trying to get away from her.

Eamon didn't hesitate to hand the pet (he presumed) over, although it struggled. "Does it have any special powers?" He inquired, looking thoughtfully at the fowl. Magical pets were getting stranger and stranger. All Eamon could have had when he was in Hogwarts was a cat, a rat, an owl, or a toad. He himself had had a cat that could tap-dance. He had always liked cats, and it was great for parties.
He had considered getting a cat now, to keep him company when he was marking and working. He made a mental note to get down to the Magical Menagarie.

"Erm..." Seanna looked at the man, taking in his presence and trying to decide whether or not she should tell him about her duck. The man was a stranger after all and Seanna just didn't offer up all her information to a stranger that she didn't know.
"It was a present" Seanna replied, shrugging, before she took the duck from the man's hand's and it squealed and let out a quack as Seanna tried to hold onto it. "My name's Seanna" Seanna offered, avoiding all together answering the question the man proposed, she just wasn't sure if she could trust him or not.

"My name is Eamon Justus." Eamon said, inclining his head. "Do you attend Hogwarts? I'm teaching Charms in the upcoming term." The girl, Seanna, seemed a little on edge, but that was understandable. Eamon was a complete stranger to her, and at 6'4", he could be intimidating. He had always tried to be so when he was a member of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad, but hoped he wouldn't come across as such when he was teaching at Hogwarts. Although it might be useful for some of the more troublesome students, he didn't want to scare any First Years. Maybe he should go clean-shaven. It might make him look less sinister.

Seanna nodded, "I will be a sixth year next term and erm... I don't have to call you Professor now, do I?" Through all of this, the duck was trying to squirm out of Seanna's grasp again. For a duck that was supposed to protect her, at least according to her parent's letter, it was doing a fine job off trying to runaway from her.

There wasn't much else to do at this point, her things had been purchased, her well-worn, newly purchased, second-hand books were in hand; Felicity made her way back into the Leaky Cauldron for a drink while she waited for her mum to finish up with what she had to do. She'd learned she loved the taste of Butterbeer a while before and ordered one to quench her thirst, but didn't bother waiting for the drink to be brought up as she made her way toward a pair chattering, one with a duck in hand.
"That is the most adorable thing," she exclaimed over the feathery pet. Felicity had heard the tale end of what the girl asked the man about calling him professor, but she was too enthused with the duck to care much.
"Oh," she she said immediately after. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, but it really is adorable."

"Call him whatever you want yellow sun," Ty said with a smirk as he came up to where she was at, "He isn't on school grounds after all." Ty wasn't one for formalities, and this time was no different. He had been surprised to see Seanna here, but all the same he had decided to poke his head in, and just couldn't resist the urge to say something. Ty had been replenishing his supplies and getting the books that would be needed for the up coming school year when he had decided to pop in to the Leaky Cauldron for a drink. Hopefully this next year would be as entertaining as the last.

Eamon looked down on the boy that had somewhat rudely entered the conversation. "Well, I'm sure you can find it in you to refer to me as Mister before term begins." He said lightly, mirroring the boy's self-satisfied smirk. He cast his eye on the other child who had come, a girl. She was petting the bird, cooing and fawning over it. There certainly were a lot of students at the Leaky Cauldron, presumably for the same reason as him.

"Probably not," Ty said smirk still firmly planted on his face, but his tone still upbeat, "And lets just hope I find it in me at the school. Maybe then you'll be able to get a mister out of me, or even a professor if you are lucky." He didn't know exactly who this guy was, all he knew was what he had over heard, and from what he could make out he was going to be one of the new professors up at the castle next year. But even this knowledge wouldn't stop him from being the smart alec that he was. After all he didn't even know what the man was teaching, he could be teaching Devination for all he knew. And Ty certainly wasn't going to take anything like that.

((I wasn't exactly cooing or petting the duck...but I will now ;D ))
The feathery bird was too cute. Animals were a soft spot in Felicity's heart, a very soft spot and she couldn't help but love the duck trying to escape the arms of its holder. Reaching her hand toward the bird, she patted its head and stroked its feathery back. Acting as though it was the most entrancing thing in the world, Felicity started to coo at it. Yes, she sounded as though she were off her rocker, cooing at a duck. Oh the things one did see in the wizarding world.
However, she wasn't so interested in the duck as to miss what the boy said about calling the man a professor at school. Not tearing her light brown eyes from the duck, she asked the man "So does that mean you work at Hogwarts then?"

Eamon knew he was not going to like this boy, and he was sure the boy was coming to the same realization. He kept smiling the same, unnatural, arrogant grin the boy was wearing, however. As always, there were good students, and bad students. Something told Eamon that this boy was not a Gryffindor, but he banished the thought as a stereotype.
In answer to the other girl's question, he said, "I'm teaching Charms this year. I will also be Gryffindor's new Head of House."

Oh so the man was teaching charms aye? Just another good reason to skip that class, then the other main one of it being just flat out boring. Or there was always the other option of attending and........
"Good thing I am not in Gryffindor then," Ty said with a small laugh. He could tell they weren't going to get along, that was perfectly fine with him though. After all he really wasn't one of those kids that got along great with any of his professors for that matter. "I actually feel kind of bad for those poor Gryffs." Yeah he was being a jerk, but he was good at it.

After the rude boy said he was glad he wasn't in Gryffindor, Eamon smiled inwardly. "Believe me, the feeling is mutual." He replied, his voice staying conversational. "Really? I wasn't aware Slytherins could feel pity." He found that matching a student with an attitude blow-for-blow tended to take them down a notch.
