"I like your soap," Drew said randomly, still picking through the menegerie of small figures. He could name most of the animals and was pleased to find out that he could even recognize most of the woods. He finally found a pair of bears, one carved from walnut and the other formed from cherry and he carefully placed them on his shoulder to peek up at Felicity. They didn't smell as sweet and strong as the pine, but their deep woods were prettier to look at. So far, they were his favorite.

A faint blush found its way to her cheeks at Drew's comment, really she thought he did with the way he was constantly nose-diving in her hair, but she didn't mind in the least, she actually liked it.
Racking her brain for the type of creature the carving in her hand was, she didn't pay much attention to Drew sifting through the other ones. Felicity knew it was obviously a cattle-like animal, but what was it called? They did something funny under the moonlight, but she couldn't remember for the life of her what it was called.
However, she was distracted at the sight of something being pushed up on Drew's shoulder, and she gazed down at what was there. "They're bears!" she shouted excitedly, squeezing the Eagle a bit out of sheer delight. They were so pretty, and while she liked the one she was holding onto, she thought they were cutier. After all, they were bears, and the wood had nicer colourings.
"I like them, they're so adorable," she said softly in his ear as she picked them up to investigate them a little more.

That's all he needed to hear and while she took them up, Drew dug into his pocket for his wallet, looking at the man to give a price.
"Galleon each," the vendor said and Drew thought it was a bit high, but not unreasonable. He handed the man two gold coins before stuffing his wallet back into his pocket and looking over his shoulder one more time to see Felicity enjoying the little bears.
"Do you want the mooncalf too?" he asked with a grin, thinking he should have asked before putting his wallet away.

Before she even had a moment to put up a protest, he was handing the man a couple of coins as though it was nothing. While she appreciated the gesture that he was buying them, she really hadn't thought he had to, she was merely enjoying them, but she did like the fact that he had boughten them.
"Mooncalf!" she exclaimed loudly. "That's what it's called. I couldn't remember, I mean, I could remember a few things about it, but not its name." Her explanation probably wasn't needed as she was apt to do that sometimes, but she explained all the same. "And no," she lowered her voice a bit. "That's all right, I like the bears."
Felicity handed the little carving back over to him and made sure to keep a good hold on the two he'd bought, after all, she liked them a bit more. Leaning over his shoulder a little, she bumped her nose against his ear and smiled. "Hey Drew," she said quietly, hoping he'd turn to look so she could give him a kiss, though if not, she'd still kiss his cheek.

Pleased with his purchase and the response it got, Drew replaced the mooncalf on the vendor's table and thanked the man. The vendor offered a bag for the bears, but Drew shook it off with a grin. If Felicity got tired of carrying them, the Ravenclaw would just put them in his pocket.
He refreshed his hold on her and got ready to move onto the next booth when she spoke his name, tickling his ear and starting the butterflies up again. "Huh?" he asked, turning slightly to look at her.

Drew turned a little, but not as far as she was hoping, but it'd work for her. Stretching her neck a little, she leaned around him to gently kiss the corner of his lips, just a small way of thanking him for his purchase.
"Thank you," she answered quietly before giving him another small kiss. Pulling back she loosened her arms from around his neck, holding the two bears out in front of both of them to view. "Which one do you want?" she asked, fully intending not to take both home as much as she wanted. He paid for them, he should take one, especially since he liked bears, too.

He was already pretty toasty with her on his back, but her kiss warmed him up even more, making his toes tingle. He was all ready to let her keep both bears, but was glad she decided to let him have one. They were pretty cool.
"You decide," he told her, letting her have her choice and he'd take the other. He had picked them both out originally because he liked them the best, so it didn't matter to him either way.

He gave her choice, which had been why she'd given him it. Felicity liked them both, and had been having a hard time deciding as it was, which was why she'd offered it up to him.
Taking a closer inspection of the two, she liked the colouring of the cherry wood better than the walnut, but the latter had better contrast between colourings. Such a hard decision, and both bears were so adorable.
Tightening her arms around his neck, but careful not to choke him unintentionally, she sniffed both, thinking maybe that'd help her. And boy did it. She had to take a second sniff of the walnut one to make sure, but yes, that was the winner. It smelled a little more like Drew did, still far off, but closer to how he smelled.
"I like this one," she giggled lightly and made the carving dance in front of his face as she showed him her choice. "If it's all right with you, I think I'd like to have it. And you can have the cherry wood."

He gave her a funny look as she held first one and then the other up to her nose, thinking that was an interesting way to make a decision. Actually, it was something he could see himself doing.
"Okay," Drew agreed, laughing as the bear danced in front of him. He had picked the cherry out of the bunch originally because of the warm red tone of the wood, so he was happy with her decision. "Are you going to hold onto them both, or do you want me to?" he asked as he horse galloped over to the next booth.

Clutching onto him, as she was unprepared for his burst of energy to get over to the next vendor, she laughed just thinking about how young she felt with him carrying her like that. Actually, she liked it, it was cute.
"I can hold to them," she announced proudly, knowing she wasn't about to drop them, espcecially as he'd paid for them, and the amount he'd paid. Besides, she liked them, both and wasn't about to lose them.
Crossing her arms around his neck loosely, she looked down at what was for sale at this particular area. Most of it looked moth-eaten, but there were scarves and gloves and winter hats. The vendor was a woman who looked well-off, and Felicity couldn't figure out why she'd be selling such items when it looked as though she could afford much better stuff than that to sell. And it wasn't as though they were of the highest quality before being worn away either.
"Let's go on to another one," she asked Drew very quietly, not wanting to hurt the woman's feelings if there was more reason than not to be selling such stuff.

When he had seen what the vendor was selling, Drew's first inclination was to buy something and help the woman out, but the robes she wore looked well made and fairly new. Even if she had made her clothes herself, surely she could have come up with some better stuff to sell. Drew smiled at the lady and moved on to the next booth quickly.
The next table was set up with a display of stones, crystals, and gems, the woman behind the table already starting her littany of what each one did before Drew and Felicity had even reached the stand. They were pretty to look at, but Drew didn't dare touch them, not knowing much about gem magic. All he needed was to pick up the wrong one and be stuck with some sort of curse. He looked over his shoulder at Felicity to see if she wasn'ted to see more or continue on.

They were pretty, all shiny and glow-y like in the lighting. Felicity found herself intrigued by the woman's words, her talk of one stone that would bring friendship to a person, of another that would bestow bad luck on any who had done the one with the stone wrong, and of yet another that brought knowledge with it. However, she couldn't help but think of the muggle movie Titanic and about the necklace with the stone in it that was supposedly cursed at one time or another. In fact, one of the stones on her counter looked an awful lot like the one from the movie.
While she didn't dare touch any, afraid of the same thing as Drew, she didn't exactly want to move on either. The lady had just launched into a story about a dark sapphire she picked up off the table and how it'd brought a tragic love story to a beginning. The woman was an older one, not old, but older. Grey was whisping in her dark hair, her eyes were a dark, brooding green, and her nose was a bit large, but she had a fascinating voice, the blonde figured she'd done a bit of magic or something.
The story she said began by a betrothed woman being given the chance to run from marriage, from the life she'd been born into, to the arms of a man she loved, to a life that would be harder than she could ever have imagined. Supposedly, this woman had gone into some town or other and had been told of the powers of this particular beauty of a gem, only to sniff her nose at the price. Her betrothed, hearing of her like of it had it set into an engagment ring with a littering of diamonds, handed it to her, and he dropped dead when she slide it onto her finger. The vendor continued, and Felicity was torn between getting lost in the story and finding the many falsities of her story.
The woman finished her story in a flourish of talk about love, pointing at couples who were gathered around listening, and began picking up other pieces to interest them. While they were all interesting to the blonde, she giggled a little, noticing a container behind the counter that looked to be filled to the brim with the same kinds of stones the woman had on her table. Drew's height was good for many things, and this was just a little one.
"I think there's a fraud in the midst," she whispered into Drew's ear, nodding at the woman. "Let's see what the next one is," she added, wondering why there were so many children gathered at this particular vendor's area. Knowing she was beginning to lose her grip, she wrapped her legs around him to help her to get a better hold, and when she finally didn't have a choke hold on him, she loosened her legs, trying to see what the vendor had that was so intriguing to young ones.
"I think he has sweets," she told him, not entirely sure, but that's what it looked like from what she could see. "I think...maybe..." she trailed off, trying to read a banner that was sprawled out. "It might be a Honeydukes set-up."

Drew snorted as she whispered in his ear. He found the woman's stories interesting, but hardly the best way to sell stones. Anyone who bought a gem that had caused a bride-to-be's death would definitely be suspicious in his book. Drew noticed more than a few peoploe also back away from the vendor's table.
With Felicity securely on his back and the promise of a snack ahead, Drew headed over to the next table, standing behind the crowd of children to see what was so interesting. "You want something?" he asked over his shoulder.

That was the question to ask, and she had quite an answer for reply. Leaning in, so her lips were right against his ear, so as to minimize any other ears hearing, she grinned. "Yes," she told him, making sure to let her lips lightly brush against him when she answered. "But he isn't able to give me what I'd like."
Pressing her lips against his ear to kiss it, she pulled away quickly, hoping she wasn't over-stepping the line by joking a little with him. After all, they weren't more than just not friends, but she thought he'd take it in good humour. It was merely a tease anyway, and she'd only meant a kiss.
"What kinds of chocolate does he have?" she asked, intending on buying what she chose herself. He was spoiling her already, carrying her and having bought her a bear, she could buy her own chocolate, and maybe he'd let her buy him a snack too.

He gave a low giggle at her answer, finding her implication plesantly embarassing. He was pretty sure no one else heard her, but his reponse and the fact that she was right on his ear probably gave them away to the crowd. It was fortunate that most of the customers were under 12 and more interested in the candy than in the piggy-backed couple in the back.
"Oooo!" Chocolate frogs!" Drew called out, grabbing up a foil package and examining it. "Dang, I haven't had one of these in ages! Used to collect the cards when I was little. I think my stash is somewhere at the bottom of my trunk still."
