January 13th, 2008 7:30 P.M. (continued from the Feast Thread) The Huffles had seemed to be okay, or at least okay as the situation could call for. On the plus side, some of them still had their wands which was more than Drew could say. He had been quick to hand it over to the Deva and while he wished to have it back, he couldn't say he was sorry he gave it up. Celina had held on to hers and had been confronted and while she hadn't been hurt, Drew had a feeling he wouldn't have gotten off so lucky. He gave a quick glance back to the Ravenclaw table to make sure Jeremy and Hannah were still safe, bade farewell to the Huffles, and then nodded to Celina that they were moving. He pushed off of the Huffle benches and it was a smooth slide on his back to the next table where he stopped at Felicity's feet. He wasn't sure she had seen him moving and didn't want to scare her with a touch or a whisper, especially being so close to their captors. He silently made his presence known, slipping one hand up next to her and placing a single pea on the side of where her plate would be if she hadn't pushed it away. { ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) } {any Gryffs welcome obviously}

Having gone into her own angered mood again, she glanced away and failed to notice the disappearance of both Ravenclaws under the table, though when she did look back over to see what in the world they were doing next to make her fed up with the two of them, her heart nearly stopped. Neither of them were where her eyes had last placed them.
Looking up and down the Eagle table as best she could, Felicity didn't see either of them. Talk about not only slightly frightening, but very annoying. It would figure they both disappeared, most likely together too.
Rolling her brown eyes a little, she tried not to become overly-frustrated, but it was a bit hard not to do, especially after what she'd seen. It was going to take a lot of explaining, if she even gave him the chance to talk before she didn't talk to him again.
Propping her hand in her chin, she tried to think of something to say to someone, but nothing was working for her, mainly because she was angry and wanted to let that anger out. Looking back at her plate she'd pushed further away from her, she decided that even if she wasn't hungry, she should at least eat something because knowing her she'd be hungrier than ever if she didn't.
As she picked her fork back up, she quite close jumped out of her skin at the sight of a hand reaching up from underneath the table, and touching her plate! That was annoying in and of itself, and the blonde was ready to poke it with her fork, until she realized what it left on her plate.
Clenching her jaw, she slammed her hand down on the table and leaned over enough to make sure she was correct about her guess. She was.
"What?" she hissed at him angrily. Of all people to upset her, her best friend and supposed boyfriend.

He wasn't concerned by her tone, thinking that it was stress over the situation. He sat up next to her, tempted to kiss her knee seeing that it was right there, but in the end, thinking it was kind of silly to actually do it. Instead her placed a hand on her foot and leaned into her slightly, just needing to be close.
"Celina's here too. Are you okay?" he asked, wondering how to tell Felicity that the Ravengirl was freaking out a bit without actually saying it in front of Celina.

It took a lot of effort for her not to kick him when he touched her. How he even began to dare to think it was all right or him to do that, she didn't know, especially after what she saw. Of course Celina was with him, where else would she be?
Glaring at him, and at his question, she let out a very frustrated sigh. Was she okay? Of course she wasn't okay, not after what she saw, and the fact that he was there just acting as though nothing had happened? That just made it about ten times worse.
"I'm fine," she muttered at him through clenched teeth. In fact, it was quite obvious she wasn't. It wasn't even the faceless people that were bothering her to the point of anger, and they were pretty terrifying. "Or at least I will be," Felicity added with a forced smile. No reason not to smile, well...except for the fact they were being guarded like animals.
Pulling her legs up to the bench, so Drew wouldn't be able to touch them, she spun around and sat with her back to the table. It really wasn't comforting that way, because from there she couldn't see any of the students, and Drew couldn't lean up to her. But she was mad at Drew, and she'd stick it out, even if the faceless people were frightening.

The Head Boy's eyes flicked from sentry to sentry repeatedly, it was almost as if the seventh year had expected them to move. Occasionally one breathed or a head turned but other than that it was as if they were statues and as long as no one made a big fuss they would probably stay that way. There were six of them that he could see, with no doubt two or three more in the Entrance Hall that could be quick to aid. Their position but both gallant stupidity and good ol' fashioned diplomacy out of the question for now. From what he could see and gather the doorway leading to the Entrance Hall was unblocked but he wouldn't try going for it until later in the night...
As his eyes refocused to the faces of the lions about him, it was the voice of a well known sixth year Ravenclaw that drifted into his ears from a small bit up the table. At first he questioned his sanity, wondering if the hallucination that looked like Drew Thornton was real or not and when Hjort replied to it he could only assume it was. "Merlin! Where the 'ell...?!" Corey hissed down the bench, eyebrow raised in obvious perplexion and slight shock. He didn't right care how the Ravenclaw had gotten where he had, nor did he rightly care what he might have up his sleeve, none of that really mattered at all. The Head Boy managed a weak smile of oddly placed bemusement, Drew being there meant that in some ways they were still free and that the freedom they had was priceless and could not be claimed by any sort of force.
" 'ow's the other side o' the hall..?"

Okay, so this time he was concerned. He risked life and limb to cross three-fourths of the Great Hall and she acts like that? She said she was fine, but she obviously wasn't and Drew wasn't sure why but he had a sneaky suspicion that it wasn't because of the Deva. But if it wasn't that, then what the heck was it?
The Head Boy's voice caught his ear and while Felicity's back troubled him, he figured Corey should get a status report. "Nic's buggin' because Ari's not here, but Hiro and I are figuring that means she's okay. Charlie's got it under control for now. We got the little guys under the tables, but I don't think we have to worry about them too much... well except maybe for that one guy up at the front." Of course, Brady had him occupied.
Saying it all made it all real again, not just an exciting diversion that meant he could crawl under the tables. He leaned his head against Felicity's back, wishing he could hold her.

Celina nodded back to Drew and closely followed him to the Gryffindor table. Check on Felicity, and then to the bathroom. She couldn't stand following Drew around. She hadn't done it in the past when things had gone astray at Hogwarts, she wasn't about to do it now when Alfonz needed her. It was her fault, after all, that Alfonz was even there. It had to be. What other explanation could there be? No, she needed to know it from him what exactly his explanation was. The Gryffindor table was located very near to the Great Hall doorway...and to Celina's great appreciation, when they got there Felicity seemed...as well as could be expected.
As Drew acknowledged her, Celina nodded but briefly glanced back at the door when he went back to talking with Felicity. She seemed to be in a bit of a mood, but then Celina doubted that she could blame her. What a horrible night this was for all of them. That, Celina was sure of. But now was her chance.
Corey noticed that Drew was there, beside Felicity and hadn't noticed her. Backing up slowly, this was Celina's chance. As little courage that the raven girl had, it was now being fueled by the need to know. Not to mention the Jedynak blood within her veins boiled as a phrase echoed in her head that Alfonz and her father preached to her often: Blood is thicker than water. Sending all the best wishes to her friends, but knowing they were safe, she had other priorities. So, turning around as silently as she could, she started to crawl toward the Great Hall doors to where she knew her brother had gone...not to mention, the bathrooms were out there too.

Hearing Corey's question, she felt she could kick herself for not inquiring about everyone else, it was quite selfish, but that's how it was. Drew and Celina had made her extremely angry, and while she knew she should've been more focused on what was at hand with everything that was going on, she couldn't help but feel hurt, and by two people she didn't think would do such a thing. Especially as Celina had told her she didn't hardly like Drew.
Maybe it was Drew and not Celina? He was the one who was always pulling the girl in closer, holding his hand out to her, his arms open to her. That thought in and of itself just made her even more frustrated. He'd asked her, Felicity, to be his girlfriend, she thought he meant he wanted to make it exclusive by asking that. Apparently not, but she couldn't even think of herself kissing on anyone else, and he'd even told her he wasn't kissing on any other girls, then again, that'd been way back in November when he'd told her that, maybe he'd changed his mind?
She listened to Drew's response, glad it didn't sound as though anyone was hurt, at least not by the frighteningly faceless people. And for a brief moment, she wondered if they really were all that frightening.
However, that thought was stopped when she felt Drew lean against her again. Didn't he get it? But just thinking that quite close brought tears to her eyes, she didn't want to think about it, and she really liked him touching her, and didn't even feel angry enough to move away, though her mind was telling her she should. All she allowed was for her back to tighten, no, she wasn't going to move, not until she got the chance to yell at him.

It sounded as though on the whole everything was secure but Drew had only covered two of the three remaining tables and it was that missing information that made him continue his inquiry. "And the Huffles?" Corey questioned motioning to their neighboring table with his head. He hadn't been able to hear much -- primarily because he hadn't been trying to and while it seemed like every table was okay he was more concerned about everyone's mental states. If they were anything like his beneath his current take-charge facade it wouldn't be too much longer before someone else tried to be like Torque. And speaking of stupid actions...?
Something, or rather someone brushed against his foot. How he'd missed the fifth year beneath him he didn't know but she was going in a most unise direction. However, by the time he'd made this connection she was too far away to even barely kick (and even then it wouldn't be enough to get her attention). Oh well...tack another failure tot he tally list. Although, it would only be a failure if anything actually happened to her and since it seemed Shaw was the only thing keeping the rougher muscle from doing regretful acts of violence he prayed to god that all of Shaw's companions were content with Shaw's order of business...
The man was a ruddy damn curse and a sadly unpleasant blessing as well.

He felt her back tighten against his cheek and while he didn't dare, he longed to slip an arm around her, just let her know it would be okay.
"The Huffles are okay. Krissy and some guy named Alex seem to have them taken care of," Drew answered Corey, speaking in a whisper. He noticed Celina crawl behind him, but honestly didn't think she'd go farther than a few inches. When she continued past Corey, he leaned forward and grabbed her ankle, alarmed. "Where are you going?" he asked her, keeping his voice to a low hiss.

The conversation behind her back continued, and she listened as best she could, while arguing about what to do and think in her mind. She wanted to yell at Drew, make him explain to her how he thought he could be so mean, why he was being so mean, but then she didn't want him to explain, what if it was because she'd done something wrong? What if it was because she kissed him at the festival the way she had?
Felicity felt the warm spot on her back disappear, and for a fleeting moment, she panicked. Where had Drew gone? And then she heard him ask where someone was going, of course, she thought he meant her. Turning and ducking slightly under the table, she glanced briefly at what was going on, not letting it register at first. "I'm not going anywhere," she replied, concerned about what he was talking about.
Then it hit her. He was holding Celina's ankle? Now was he trying to hold her there against her will? It didn't matter, he'd moved away from her and grabbed her friend's ankle. Eyes flashing, she felt the want to kick him, again. Now he was doing what he was doing right in front of her? Not even across the hall anymore, but right in front of her.
"Why don't you just let her go and follow her?" she retorted angrily. He'd end up with her anyway. "It's not like she doesn't want you to, anyway."

So close, yet so...so far. Celina crawled ever so slightly passed those she needed to in order to get away. Accidentally brushing up against Corey was unfortunate, but when he'd made no sound about it, Celina almost held within her the false hope of reaching the door way. That was when of course Drew grabbed her, and hissed at her. Again, so close, yet not close enough. She sighed, but before she could get anything out as she turned to face Drew, Felicity was hissing at him all the same. Madhouse, that's what this was becoming.
Why don't you just let her go and follow her? It's not like she doesn't want you to.
Celina's eyes grew wide, and then narrowed as she threw a glare at her friend. Did it not look as if she was trying to sneak away? Why would she want the Ravenclaw prefect that was now attatched to her to follow her? That was an insane assumption. "Where? To the bathroom?" Celina's tone was frustrated and annoyed. This was getting to a point that was ridiculous. A year ago she wouldn't have had this kind of problem, and she wasn't about to have it now when she really needed to be elsewhere. Why did it seem as if friends were just more trouble than what they were worth? Shaking her ankle from Drew's grasp Celina turned her glare onto him. "Please.....let go."
She wished he would listen, or even understand. However, Celina highly doubted that Drew would understand. Sure, Drew had an older sister, but as close as they seemed....they still didn't connect like Alfonz and her did. She could see that. And with that, Celina could also see that she was losing her connection. She wasn't about to. And she wouldn't even let someone who claimed to be a friend, get in her way.

Well here was a conundrum. Did he deal with an obviously crazy girlfriend who was insinuating he was cheating on her or did he deal with an obviously crazy Ravensister who decided that this was the perfect time to venture into danger and use the little girl's room. With a firm hold on Celina, he figured Felicity was the obvious choice.
"What?" he asked her, certain the Gryffindor girl had gone nuts, flabbergasted that she was even thinking what she was suggesting. She had picked this moment to be jealous? Now, when they were in mortal danger?

Immediately she regretted saying what she was thinking aloud, just the look she got from her friend was enough to wish she could crawl into a black hole and not come out. Or if she could be an ostrich and bury her head in the sand, that would work too. Felicity didn't even dare look at Drew, silently pleading he wouldn't say anything, not sure if her temper would take control or not.
He had to say something.
"Don't just sit there and act like you don't know what I'm talking about," she replied, feeling the tears trying to break out. "You're always pulling her into you, and you even did it right at the Ravenclaw table, right where everyone could see." And that hadn't been the only time, he'd held his arms open to Celina at her own house, and there'd been other things he'd done before they were technically a couple, but she tried not to let those times get to her too badly, after all, she couldn't really claim him then.
She may not know exactly what to do in a relationship, but even she knew what it was. Felicity knew they were friends, albeit, not always on good terms, but friends nonetheless, and it really hurt that he kept doing that. No, she wasn't saying he couldn't, but when she always saw him reacting that way to her friend, it didn't make her feel too good.

Her glares turned to ones of shock and horror. What in bloody hell was Felicity saying? Why was she crying? Celina just didn't understand, and until her friend spoke her thoughts, she never would have.
Was it wrong of Celina to hug her friends at times? Felicity and Celina hugged all the time....and Drew was only trying to comfort her when Alfonz scared her. Hell, the only reason she allowed for such in front of Alfonz was because she had to keep up his disguise, not to mention, she had to protect Drew. Who knew what Alfonz would do when Drew had grabbed her. A spell maybe, but if Celina was in the way, Drew wouldn't be harmed. All of these things and more fluttered through her mind, and all the same she never once could put the same words to it as Felicity and Drew were. Cheating? That was not even a word in Celina's vocabulary. Jedynaks didn't cheat. They pleased their men and made sure to do what was asked of them so they didn't wander as such. So, then why would she even consider doing such to her best friend....even if she did understand the Gryffindor's pleas for understanding.
"What? Felicity....what do you mean?" Celina asked, unsure of what to make of her friend's cries. What did Drew do that as her friend, Felicity hadn't done to Celina? Celina was shaken enough as it was....did they have to get into a friend fight now, of all times? Celina placed her hand on Drew's that was around her ankle. "Let go...." she whispered to him.
