The night before he had made her a promise that she would never lose him, and he meant it. So, then why was she saying he could leave? That was the furthest thing from his mind. He didn't want to leave. He wanted her to be happy with him again, wanted everything to be alright between the two of them but he didn't understand what was going on. Alexander shook his head. "Why would I leave you? There's no one I'd rather be around..." he trailed away and smiled warmly at her.
He walked over to her and stood in front of where she sat looking at her. "I do want to be near you..." he whispered to her. Though he made no movements he could feel his stomach flip and his face flushed a little. He hoped that she wouldn't see, but at the same time decided to make a joke to make it less serious. "I'm just gross....that's all," he said as he gave her a bit of a wink and started to laugh. He took her unhurt hand in his and laced his fingers with hers, not thinking about how gross the both of them probably really were.

His words were gentle, calming and although she could think of a million reason's why he might want to leave her she didn't voice them. He said there was no-one he would rather be around, her frown decreased. She probably would have turned back to look at him but she didn't need to. He came to her. His words and his movements spoke the same thing. The two of them were rather close to each other. Krissy looked up into his eyes with her own green ones. She laughed slightly as he joked he was gross and winked at her. His fingers laced themselves around her own on her uninjured hand and she smiled. She liked the feel of his skin against hers and the warmth of his hand in her's."I don't think your gross" Krissy said to him with a warm smile, her eyes still focussed solely on him. She didn't mind too much that neither of them had had a shower. It had only really been one day afterall. Krissy reached out with her injured wrist and caught Alex's hand very gently with it. As long as she didn't move her wrist too much it was fine. Her fingers laced between his with that hand too. "There's no-one I would rather be around either" she said softly to Alex with a warm smile.
He had promised she would never loose him and it seemed he was sticking to his promise. Krissy hadn't noticed Alexander's cheek's flush. However her stomach seemed to do an odd back-flip as she realised just how close the two of them were to each other. However she had no intentions at this moment of pulling away.

Well it was great to know that Krissy didn't think he was gross, but the overwhelming thought that he in fact was still there. Though, he didn't do anything about it. He couldn't after all, and in the proximity he was to the Head Girl, he didn't want to do anything about it. What was happening as of now, however, were other thoughts that were racing through his mind. What to do now? If he had been clean, brushed his teeth, not looked over all messy, he may have bent in to brush his lips against hers, but he couldn't. It had been a whole day since he had showered, and now as he thought about it even further, his teeth and breath probably were just as horrid.
His stomach sunk and the feeling of defeat was there again. He couldn't do anything right! So, as he stood there, he backed up a bit, but didn't let go of Krissy's hands. "Not a single person?" he said almost teasing, picking up the conversation where they had left off. This was just not working out to be his day.

Alexander stepped backwards, away from her slightly, but he kept hold of her two hands. He spoke to her and she grinned. It was almost like he was teasing her, and suddenly Krissy got the feeling that it was all okay between the two of them again. She was also slightly glad for the slight increase in distance between them, she didn't know what to do when that close to him. But somehow she also kinda wished they were that close still. She didn't quite know which she wanted more.
Krissy tilted her head to the side slightly and she grinned at him "Hmmm" she said, pretending to think as though the question was reasonably hard. "The minister for magic perhaps?" she said with a small smirk, still seemingly thinking. "Naw, I never really liked him anyway." Krissy grinned at Alex, she never did think the person running the ministry was all that great. "Nope. No-one but you" she said to him with a sweet smile, her eyes focussed on him and shining with mischief.

As Krissy tilted her head and looked at him with her gleaming green eyes, Alexander felt as if his legs were about to give out beneath him. She really was an attractive girl, and the fact that they were hand in hand with one another was enough to make his heart give out just from beating so fast. He tried to act cool though as she retorted playfully to his question.
Alexander laughed a little and continued to smile. What was he going to do with her? Half the time he didn't know whether to be with her, or stop her from doing something that may have gotten her in more trouble. At the moment, however, he wouldn't change their prediciment for the world. Being there with her, made everything just that much better. "And to think...I thought you were into those older men for a minute there." Alexander laughed again and moved in again. Not as close as before, just a bit. "So, now that we've got to the point where we are glad the both of us are in each other's companies...what is there to do?" Alexander let go, gently, of Krissy's hurt hand and put his hand to his chin as if he were thinking. Looking down at her a bit, he could think of a few things...but he kept them to himself. What kind of gentleman would he be if he devulged all of his secrets at one time.

Krissy scoffed slightly as Alexander said that he thought she was into older men for a minute. However it was of course a playful scoff and knew he wasn't serious with his comment. She probably would have replied to it but he moved in closer to her again, not quite as close, but still relatively close, closer then what she would normally get to other people.
He released her injured hand and brought his hand to his own chin as though thinking. Krissy grinned. He was silly and she liked it. For the moment she had completely forgotten they were stuck on a single level of the school, controlled by faceless people and led by a man who was more cunning then anyone she had ever met. "I dunno" Krissy said shrugging her shoulder's slightly and giving Alexander a mischievous kind of smirk "What is there to do?" she responded cheekily to him, her green eyes looking up to him with a playful spark.

If he had known, would he have asked? Alexander could think of things that maybe other guys would take advantage of, but even that made his skin crawl a bit. Not that he couldn't someday see himself maybe doing something like what he was thinking, but the fact that neither of them had taken a shower, or brushed their teeth, or groomed themselves really at all...not to mention, he took pride in the idea of being brought up as a gentleman. But he sighed, and shook his head slowly looking as innocent as ever.
"Well...something that's not dangerous I wouldn't mind doing...." Taking his hand he gently brushed to the side of Krissy's face some hair of hers so that he could clearly see her eyes. Damn, did he ever love how they gleamed.

Krissy grinned as Alexander said something not dangerous. It was a difficult question really. What could two people do while locked on a single floor of the castle when there is a dangerous presence patrolling the whole area AND they don't want to do something dangerous. Or at least one of their party didn't. Krissy would love to go and launch some vegetables at random Deva members. However that first attempt hadn't exactly turned out the best, the dull throbbing in her wrist showed her that. The touch of Alex's hand against her cheek made Krissy smile a bit bigger before deciding to reply to his question.
"Aww.. You mean we can't throw potato's at the faceless?" she said in a clearly joking tone with her head tilted on one side a little and a fake pout obvious on her face. Krissy glanced at her wrist, she really needed to strap it back up. She just kind of hoped Alexander wouldn't pay too much attention to it while it was unstrapped. She was sure he would just worry more if he noticed how swollen it was and the slight bruising in places. Sure it wasn't broken, just injured, but it still wasn't in a very good shape. "We could throw them at Shaw instead" Krissy said, a small smirk on her face. She knew Alexander wouldn't like the idea of that at all. However perhaps it would encourage him to just not let go of her and keep her hands in his forever. It would definitely be a sure fire way to stop her throwing potato's at the faceless.

Eventhough she was joking, Alexander couldn't help but smirk and shake his head a bit vigourously. "You, Miss Head Girl, are insane," he told her still laughing a bit as she brought up the leader of the Deva into it. "Yes, now that's a plan!" he exclaimed, sarcasm was evident. As he said that, he moved his hands from hers, and put them on her waist. That wasn't wrong was it? Not intrusive in any way was it? "I guess I'll just have to keep you...." Alexander was going to say distracted, but then stopped short realizing how that sounded.
"er....I mean....I'll have to keep you.....ya know...." Alexander went over all the possible words that could mean 'staying put' in his head, only to realize they all sounded somewhat irresposible and as if he wanted something more from her than he would have liked to portray. His grasp on her waist lightened slightly, and his face finally blushed over his mortification of not being able to come up with an appropriate term. "Wh-what I mean to say, Krissy...is that...." pause, "...doing anything but that....er...." it just wasn't about to come.

Krissy laughed as Alexander said she was insane. He wasn't the first person, nor did she reckon (unless something drastic happened during this deva takeover) would he be the last person, to tell her such. She continue to laugh as, with sarcasm dripping from his voice, he said ti was a plan. She knew he would have never agree'd to go and throw vegetables at deva members, especially not at Shaw. Her laughing died down as he moved his hands from her own hands and onto her hips. A slight feeling of shock crossed through her at his move but she didn't pull away.
She listened as Alex spoke, telling her he would have to keep her. Krissy eyed him slightly curiously and watched as his cheeks turned a nice scarlette colour, as he rambled on trying to say something that he just couldn't quite find the words for. "Don't worry" Krissy said gently her arms reaching up and wrapping around the back of his neck, her fingers entwining themselves between each other. Krissy gave him a sweet smile. She wasn't sure what he meant. Did he want her to be his? Or was it just a slip of the tongue? Him saying the wrong word when he meant something completely different. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she tended to do when she was thinking, realising just then how close her and Alexander actually were. Her green eyes gazed into his, as though trying to see right down into his soul. What was it that he wanted? Was it a friendship? Was it reassurance? Was it her?
She didn't know what she was doing. Their bodies, their faces, all so close. Yet she didn't pull away. Thoughts of Pat, Mike, the dance and all else that had been going on in her life over the previous months flashed through her mind, and were then gone, lost in the blur of the moment. Her mind was blank and the only thing that mattered in the entire world at that time was her, Alex and this moment they were spending together. She raised herself a little on her toes making her higher and leaned in closed to Alex, not even sure what she was doing.
She moved a little more, her lips pressing in on his slightly. She felt the warmth of his lips against her's and before she realised what she was doing she kissed him. Sweet and gentle. As she lingured there, for a moment her mind remained in its blissful state, thoughts of Alexander being the only things in her mind. The warmth of his hands upon her waist, the softness of his lips against her own, the feeling of her hands at the back of his neck. However it did not take her mind long to catch up with her actions. As usual, she had acted before thinking. Such was the way with Krissy. And as all good things must fade so did the moment as her mind realised exactly what she was doing.
Krissy pulled away suddenly, realising what she had just done. "I... uhh..." her cheeks had gone a crimson colour. Had she overstepped her boundaries with Alexander? Krissy bit her lip worriedly. An obvious look of worry crossing over her face. Would he be mad? Would he not come near her again? He was one of her best friends at that moment, she didn't want to loose his friendship over a stupid mistake. But... was it a mistake? Krissy was confused. The thoughts of the previous months flooded back into her mind. Pat, Mike, the people at the dance. She had kissed so many different people in the last few months, some of which she didn't even know. She wasn't sure if kissing Alexander had been a good thing or now. "I.. I'm.. sorry.." Krissy's hand's released themselves from behind Alexander's neck and she pulled away slightly. Her eyes dropping down to the ground. "..not my place.. I.." she continued to bite her bottom lip, unsure what to do. Her feelings for Alexander were unclear as were her feelings for Pat. Had she just made a crucial mistake? With the breakup being not too long before, and her having been pining for quite a while she didn't know whether this was what she should have done. "..sorry.." she muttered again, her gaze directed to the ground now rather then at Alexander.

It was as if it was supposed to happen. But at the same time, Alexander never imagined it be just like that. So, close, the heat from his face was evident and had only increased as Krissy’s arms found their way around his neck. Her eyes were trans like, and her motions almost predictable, but not at all not wanted. And even with them being “predictable,” Alexander was still as caught off guard as ever.
His eyes were wide with slight shock, and the palms of his hands began to sweat in anticipation and anxiety. What if he did smell? What if his breath was raunchy? And why in the world would she take that chance? Before he could do anything to stop her, she leaned up, gently placing her lips against his. Alexander closed his eyes, knowing how rude it was to stare, and tensed a little. However, as the kiss progressed and lingered just a bit, he forgot about all of his inhibitions and started to kiss her back.
For that split moment in time, Alexander wasn’t worried about his teeth anymore, or the fact that he was gross. He didn’t think Krissy was untouchable (not that he ever did), nor did he think about any thing else. Caught up in the moment his grasp on her waist tightened just a bit, as he felt himself bringing her just that much closer.
The moment, as unexpected as it was, was something that Alexander never would have expected himself to ever have. Krissy and Alexander were just friends, weren’t they? Or did this mean that she liked him as well, for more than just the close friends they had become? So many questions he’d want to ask her…but after…
And then another unexpected thing happened, and Alexander immediately believed himself at fault. He knew his breath must have been awful, his touch unwanted….he had taken advantage of both of them being tired and Krissy feeling as if she needed to take care of everyone. He was just as despicable as a man could get. As Krissy pulled away, she began to try and apologize. Her arms dropped from around his neck and she looked away. Alexander backed up as well, putting his hands behind his head and he turned away. Why had he been such a horrible person? Had he not been taught any manners?
Every time Krissy apologized, Alexander’s heart and soul sank a little more How could he have let such a thing happen? “No…” he said turning back to Krissy. “Don’t apologize. I should have never…well, I mean I shouldn’t have…I led you into that, and I shouldn’t have because….well, we’re friends and all and….” Alexander stumbled. Did he just come out and say it? That he liked her, found her interesting, couldn’t believe the color of her eyes….”I’ll understand if you just want to keep our relationship as friends…” he muttered. Krissy was way out of his league any ways…he found a desk chair and sat in it, a few away from Krissy.

She had upset him. She had hurt him. She didn't know what to do. Had she just misled him? Yet she couldn't help but let her mind drfit bck to the moment they had just shared, where his hands had gripped onto her hips tighter then they had and the feeling of him pulling her in closer and kissing her back. Yet he turned his back on her and worry covered her face. She had done it. He would never speak to her again. He seemed upset. Maybe angry? Her green eyes watched him, wondering if she had just ruined one of her best friendships.
However Alexander turned back towards her. Krissy wondered momentarily if he would yell at her. However spoke to her, stumbeling accross his words. Told her not to appologise. "Y...you didn't... I mean.. Its not your fault.." Krissy stumbeled, not sure what to say "I .. I did it.. my fault.." Her sentences scattered, her words jumbeled. For a girl who could talk underwater with a mouthfull of marbles she was suddenly rather lost for words.
However the words of Alexander that stuck the most in her mind were 'I'll understand if you want to keep our relationship as friends'. Krissy didn't know what she wanted. She was confused and her head was swimming with a million different thoughts. "I..." Krissy didn't know what to say. Her eyes looked to Alexander in the desk chair. She didn't know what to do. Should she go sit with him? Or would that just ruin things further. Krissy took the second option she could think of. She moved to the wall cloest to her, taking a seat on the ground at the base of it and pressing her back against the cold stone. She pulled her knee's into her chest and burried her head into her knee's. She felt like crying. Would Alexander hate her now? Her thoughts were spreading like wildfire and there was no known way to stop them. "..I'm really sorry..." she muttered to her knee's.

Great job...great bloody job! Alexander was kicking himself now, especially, as Krissy got up and sat herself against the opposite wall with her head down on her knees. He'd really done it that time. As he watched his friend, and heard her soft murmur his heart wrenched. He didn't mean to make her upset. Alexander tried so hard constantly not to make anyone upset, and now the Head Girl was sitting over against the wall very upset. Great....
Alexander got up from his seat slowly and made his way over toward Krissy. Sitting down next to her, he hesitantly put his arm around her shoulders and brought her closer to him. "No...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have allowed for something like that to happen, especially since I know you've been going through such rough times..." speaking softly he let his head lean against her own and he closed his eyes a bit. "I was....was being foolish..." he said, even softer only half believing himself.

With her face burried in her knee's Alexander's movements were hidden from her. So it was a shock when he sat down next to her. She jumped slightly, but tried to hide it by moving her head from her knee's and looking up but she doubted that would do much. Alexander reached his arm around her shoulders and pulled her into him. His words were soft but most of them were wrong, at least in Krissy's mind. His body was warm against hers and upset as she was she was not about to pull away. His head leaned itself against hers and she shifted her body into him a bit more. She was confused and upset and didn't quite know what to feel.
She had made the move, not him and it was her that had kept encouraging it. Holding his hand for support, telling him all her worries, trusting no-one but him when she had gotten injured. Why hadn't she seen this coming? Was it because she was so soon out of a relationship that she wasn't expecting it? Was it that she wasn't ready for another relationship? Was it just that she didn't know how to pick up the warning signs any more? She didn't know and she didn't have the time to find out. She felt like crying, but she couldn't see that helping any. Alexander seemed to be struggeling so much already. She didn't want him upset. She didn't want anyone upset. Her tired state didn't help matters and just made it harder to think.
"Its not.. not your fault" she said to him, her voice small but her tone strong, she meant it. "Your not foolish.. your sweet and kind.. and..." Krissy didn't know what else to say. Could she say much else? She didn't know what she felt. What if he expected her to tell him she liked him more then a friend? Or that she wanted to date him? She didn't know what she wanted and so she couldn't tell him. She wouldn't tell him that. Not unless she knew. Knew for sure. "I was a fool.." she said softly, her head dropping from leaning against Alexander's head to leaning on his shoulder instead. "I.. you did nothing wrong.." She wanted to say she led him on, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She didn't know if she did or didn't.

Alexander shook his head slightly. It was bad enough that he had admitted to himself that he liked Krissy more than just a regular friend weeks ago, and now to have her saying that the kiss was her being a fool, kind of hurt. Did that mean that she only did it because he had been sending out the signs that he wanted it? Or was it because she was just so lonely, and really...what were two teens going to do in an empty classroom while Deva were all around? It's not like they had a deck of cards to play with...nope, they only had each other. And even to Alexander, talking got old after a while. He was a guy, did anyone really expect his internal thoughts to differ from the other guys? He may not say them out loud, like some, a bit more reserved than others, but he still had the same thoughts and feelings.
Alexander felt horrible. He should have never....should have stuck with the fact that the both of them were really gross, and hadn't brushed their teeth in two days....or was it only one?.....he should have pushed her a way, but why would he? Yes she was his closest friend, and he cared for her a lot in that aspect, but it also helped his caring to like her as much as he really did. He sighed as she spoke and held her tighter and closer.
"Doesn't matter...you're a really great friend and if I had to kiss anyone during this time of...events," he chuckled a little as he continued to playfully joke around. "I'm glad it was with you. I think Shaw may have taken offense...." he laughed a lot more, hoping that even though he was joking, she caught on how serious he really was about kissing only her.
