Alfonz wasn't pleased with Shaw's retort on his treatment of his own sister. It's not as if he really was out to hurt her, though, how was he to really know who the girl was. Alfonz said nothing. It was hard enough to keep his mouth shut as Drew and another male decided to tell him what to do. Did they really think that he wouldn't pull his wand out on them? Ok, so the likelihood of that was slim seeing as though Celina had clutched a hold of Drew and he had no intention of giving up who he was.
Or so he thought as Devin Brady directed his words at what seemed him and the man Shaw had called Schmidt. Alfonz didn't care for the man, he seemed a bit too dangerous to be working the job. Alfonz was only doing what he did to inform Celina of his being there and nothing more. He had to put up the front, the liklihood he'd actually kill, hurt, or anything of the such was probably not likely. Well, not at this moment anyways.
Alfonz listened, but yet again did not speak. The Schmidt man did all the talking for him, and frankly it kept Alfonz's identity to himself, or so he thought. Turning back around Alfonz started to head toward the great hall doors after Shaw. There was nothing more he could do there.

Snake had been to absorbed in catching up with Jax that whens he entered the great hall she didn’t even notice what was going on until the door, which was only several feet behind them was blasted to pieces. She instinctively dove forward, away from the door, and only just escaped her leg being stuck through with a large sliver of wood thanks to her fast reflexes and strong agile body. She ended up somewhere between where the door had been and the rest of the hall, not buried but half hidden in shadows and among the splintery fragments of wood. It was because of this she supposed that she was not seen when the man who seemed to be in charge left the hall. And then another man followed him out without seeing her as well. She was convinced that she would be able to stay there and not be seen for a good amount of time.
It was tempting to just keep her wand hidden, find Jax, and just sit down at a table and eat. But her curios nature was far too powerful for that and after a moments silent debate she crawled out into the corridor and as soon as she was clear of the door she put her wand in her pocket and followed the men.

Es tried to swallow the bite that she almost choked on when Nic stood up and started yelling for Ari. Then this scary faceless man took Nic's voice with a silencing spell and he got up and looked like he was about to pound the faceless man's face in, if that were possible.
"Nic!!"
She hissed, looking up at him with a glare.
"Nic! Get her butt down here and sit down!"
She hissed again. She did not want Nic to get hurt to avenge, whatever it was he was avenging and she knew Ari wouldn't want him to get hurt either. So she needed to protect him and the best way to do it was to keep him in his seat. Es stood up determinedly and grabbed the back of his shirt.
"Sit down!"
She commanded. Es knew he couldn't protest because he didn't have a voice. And even though she was acting like a BA, her legs were shaking like there was no tomorrow. A scary possibility..

Leto had been halfway back to the Slytherin table when the main doors to the Great Hall were blasted apart by a masked man, someone he didn't know by voice either but it seemed half the school did. His hand shot instinctively to his pocket when their wands were demanded by this group, but Leto wasn't going to give his wand up without a fight, they would have to kill him to get his wand.
For now, he played it cool and headed straight back to the Hufflepuff table and slipped in between Mike and Matty, taking Matty's hand in his own rather calmly.
"Who are these guys...."

Matty was quite frankly scared when Shaw spoke again. 'This can be easy, simple and painless or it can be difficult, unwanted and painful. We're quite content with either option but the overall choice remains yours, although personally I'd rather not hear anymore screams tonight. Go ahead and finish your meals! It's all you'll get until morning... the girl sighed somewhat, looking down to her plate. She didn't know why he was doing this. What was his motivation? What did he care about Hogwarts anymore? The fear that once took place in Matty's emotions was now bubbling and churning into fear. The girl looked from Shaw to Krissy, as the moments passed by since the older students had thrown a potato at his head. Brilliant.
It was then that shock fell through her body, as the Fourth year felt another body squeeze between herself and Mike. Before the girl could even turn to see who it was, she felt a hang wrap around her own, and managed to shuffle aside slightly. "Leto," the girl said softly, squeezing his hand gently. "They're Deva. And that," the girl nodded at the cruelest man of them all. "Is Shaw. He's been in the papers..." she whispered, swallowing any ounce of respect she had for that man. True, he had gotten in there and out-smarted the entire population of Hogwarts, and now was keeping them here, but that did not mean Matty Wentworth held any respect for the man. He was sarcing children whom didn't even know him, and he didn't yet proove a purpose for being here. No, thats right, Matty did not like him, even if personally she had nothing against the man.

Mick nearly choked on the bit of pork chop he’d been swallowing when the doors blasted open, sending some of it’s debris over to him. He didn’t need a speech to know what was going on or that these people were not ones to be troubled with underage wizards’ attempts at heroics. If he’d had his wand he would have tried to save it from being taken but fortunately or unfortunately he had left it in his dormitory. No need for magic at dinner.
With nothing left to do, Mick looked around the Slytherin table, making sure all of his friends were alright. Staring in front of him, he was sure that Artemis and Fyona had been sitting right there. Where were they now? He nearly panicked before feeling something hit his foot. Looking under the table he saw them but chose to stay seated where he was. From what the guy in charge had said, no one seemed to be in much danger at the moment, as long as they didn’t mean to be trouble. Still he leaned over and whispered to Arte and Fyona. “You two alright there?” he managed a small grin.

Drew felt the leg of his trousers being lifted and a wand being stuck into his sock. It surprised him a bit but he made no move to get it. As he spoke to Hiro, Drew barely moved his lips, keeping his voice low enough so that only Hiro could possibly hear. "Eight still in here. Two by the door, two at the back windows, one by Gryffindor, one at Slytherin, two in front." He pretended to get back to eating and fiddled with the food on his plate, keeping his head bowed, but his eyes scanning the room. "The rest went out into the hall. Most of the little kids are under the tables. Professors are wandless. Ari never made it to the feast. And I think Hannah's wand is in my sock."
He forced himself to take a bite of dinner though he really wasn't hungry at all and reached across the table and grabbed the platter of chicken, passing it to the kids underneath. "Stay low. Stay close. Got it?" he told them.
He didn't dare move from his seat yet, but tried to catch the eyes of some of the older students at the other tables. His mouthed message to them was always the same. You guys okay? It was time to tend to their own. They'd figure out what to do later.

Devin brushed the woman off as she spoke. She had a point in some sense, but he wouldn't be pushed around by these Deva, no he had to make a point. If a student was harmed, he would make sure that they suffered for it. And though he was wandless he was still a definite threat. He was well built and trained, and that wasn't his only talent. It was then that the man spoke, and he got a sense of recognition. He knew the voice, it was a voice from the past, a Death Eaters voice.
Apollo Schmidt was one of the few Death Eaters that had managed to get away, but to tell the truth Devin thought that he had fled the country. The fact that he actually dared to question Devin though made his blood boil, however he let nothing show, instead he would continue to play it smart.
Watching as Alfonz did the smart thing and walked the other way, he smiled darkly. "You can take it however you want Schmidt, just know that I will make sure you never forget what happens when you mess with these kids. And trust me, I'm going to make sure it lasts as long as it can." The distance was really to Devin's advantage, the closer he was, the less the range. He met the man eye to eye, a surge of power flashing through them.

Maddy's eyes stung. Her lips felt dry, and her nose was running. She felt dehydrated and cold, she felt as if she'd faint any minute now. But she couldn't she was too scared of the deva to even close her eyes for more than a few seconds. Her wand still remained in her pocket, she was close to frozen. Her stomach rumbed, but with this, she couldn't bare to eat. Maddy stared up at the men, or at least, she thought they were men. The one who wasn't concealing his face, seemed more confident than the others, he must be the ring leader, thought Maddyson.
"I don't want to go under there." Maddy replied to Krissy nagging. She didn't want to get into trouble by the Deva by talking, but she didn't want to go under the table either. What if she missed something, she much rather knowing what was going on. Even thought there were two other girls under there, slightly older than Maddy. As Matty let go of the young blondes hand, and gave her a push on the back, Maddy turned to the girl. "Matty... I really don't want to go down there. Pleeease don't make me." Maddy had a mixed look of sadness and hope across her tear stained face, she was still sobbing quietly.

Apollo made his move when Jamboreema failed to do ask instructed yes she had sat but Apollo did not tolerate sarcasm very well. "Stupify!" He yelled the red bolt erupting from his wand hitting the floating Jamboreema in the chest. "Next person to cross me gets it worse." He told the staff carefully, as he was one of the two guarding them, they were his responsibilty and hell, as long as everything was somewhat calm and orderly he could tauntwhom he wanted no?
He stepped closer to Brady, but was still what a 'safe' distance would have been considered; Apollo may be getting over the hill at 45 but all the same his wandwork was better than ever. His physical condition couldn't match Bradys but for his age Apollo was in good shape, all the years in the desert working under the heat, keeping his skills honed had paid off for this... Robert Shaw and his Deva.
"You remember me don't you Auror? You remember Old Schmidt." He muttered softly to Brady, He couldn't see his face but Just the same, the older man knew this would be interesting.

Post by Krissy Fleming on Aug 26, 2007 8:54:46 GMT -5
Krissy watched Shaw closely as the potato had been thrown. Alex's words came to her, scolding her actions. A slight glare showed on Krissy's face but she didn't look to Alexander. Now was definitely not a time to be fighting amongst themselves. They had bigger trouble's on their hands. "Shush. It doesn't matter" she muttered her eyes remaining on Shaw. He seemed to have finished with Brady and the professors and was issuing more orders. Krissy cursed silently as her potato missed him. She had been so close. However that didn't worry Krissy. She saw him turn and glance at the table, her eyes remained upon him. It seemed his words to her from their last meeting had not sunk in. He had warned her to think before she acted and that there were more things thn just being alone that could get her hurt. However right now, she was just playing his game. She heard his word 'cute'. Perhaps in his eyes, however Krissy had just learnt a couple important things.
It seemed that for the moment, he still didn't seem quite ready to cross the lines of battle that had been drawn, and though those lines moved often, he didn't look like he was ready yet to cross the line. His previous words had prooved that. He had called them children, which meant he did still have a soul, even if was only slight. When he and Krissy had met he had not wished to cross the line of killing her as it would have made his job alot harder, and it was likely still that, for now, that line still held. However Krissy knew not to push it, the lines would move. Not to mention his groupies seemed to have their own idea's about this whole situation and Krissy didn't know where their lines stood.
Shaw told them to continue their meals and then departed. He had said two main things. One that he didn't feel like havng anyone else hurt tonight, two that though they were being held hostage in their own school it seemed he was going to feed them. It meant Krissy didn't need to salvage as much food that would keep as possible. However it also meant Krissy could add some extra vegetables to her backpack. This was a game, full of tactics, moves and every step you took it was a matter of winning or loosing. Shaw had told her the time would come when she would need to choose sides, however the time was not yet. For now, she didn't need to oppose them as much as work around them to keep the ones around her safe. She didn't care about winning the war, it was about this step. This movement. They were going to be in the school, well she was going to see just what they were up to.
Krissy still had her wand. Most of the Huffle's did. They had taken Seanna's but it seemed most of the others either kept their's well hideen, or didn't have it in the first place. The deva members had taken the wands from the staff members though. Also she had noticed Drew and Hiro trying to protect one of their own. Nic seemed to be causing trouble over at the Slytherin table, and Corey looked like he was looking after he Gryffindor's. Krissy wanted to speak out to them all, work out what to do. But it seemed that would have to wait. She was sure the people in the room wouldn't allow them to do too much. Leto had joined Matty and Maddy was now begging not to be made to go under the table. "Maddy.. please.." Krissy whispered leaning over the table. "These people are dangerous and I want you and the other young kids safe. I wont let anything happen to you. I promise you that and the table will offer some protection. We don't know what they are going to do." Krissy hoped the young one would go under but she knew she couldn't force her. Krissy wanted to go check on Mark and anyone else. Krissy had seen Mark dart under the table, she also heard Seanna speaking to Lianna and Sarsha. "Keep them under the tables" Krissy whispered hurridly to Seanna and Matty. There were still deva members in the hall and Krissy didn't want to let them near the little ones. "And make sure you all eat something."
Krissy looked to Alex "I need to check on mark" she said to him. She was slightly annoyed at him scolding her, he really had no right as it wasn't like she was his. He had Felicity. Krissy needed to remind herself of that. "Why don't you go check on your girlfriend or something.." she muttered before turning away from him. Seanna had Lianna and Sarsha safe and Mike and Matty would look after Maddy and Sally. Mark didn't seem to have any of the older students near him. Plus hopefully if she headed that way up the table a bit she might be able to duck over to the Ravenclaw table and speak with Drew. She glanced at him quickly as she saw him mouth over to them. She gave him a slight nod to let him know they were all okay and then she moved from her spot. Krissy ducked further up the table and took a place near Mark. She ducked down under the table a little bit. "You alright?" she questioned the boy huridly. She hadn't had too much to do with him, but he was a Huffle and Krissy looked after all of them. Didn't matter if she knew them well or not. She was more concerned over their safety then her' at that current moment. Especially seeing as the Deva members were now shooting curses. Krissy hoped Maddy would get under the table. She also wasn't about to launch a potato at that man unless he raised a wand on a student. However she did still have a potato clenched in her fist. If he made a move for a student Krissy (along with a few others more then likely) would probably launch the potato, closely followed by a few choice spells. Sure it was likely to get her killed, but it would distract him from the other student.

Anna was just taking small sips of her pumpkin juice trying to mollify her nerves. If she just took one bite off food she might get sick. At least she still had her wand which provided some comfort of not being totally vunerable. But pulling it out not would be an incrediblly stupid thing to do, especially when there was a Deva member standing right by the Gryffindor Table. Gazing around, there was a total of eight in the great hall now. Not someone wonderful considering all their professors were now wandless.
When Corey got up and asked how they all were, all Anna did was nod slightly, but when she saw a Deva stunning her potions teacher her eyes widened with horror. How long would it take until some of them ended up like that? As for the potato that was flung at Shaw earlier, Anna would have applauded but the person was lucky not to be caught or piss of the man even more. At least the younger kids, though how many she wasn't sure, were under the table at least. They were much safer down there then up on top. But still, what were they going to do?

Nic felt someone grab his shirt and pulled. It efficiently sent him flying to the ground and he landed on his back. Nic made to yell, but no sound came out. Nic glared at Essy and though a part of him knew he should be thankful another part of him, the part that was fueling him, made him jump up and glare down at Essy. Nic stared at the man's back and even if he hadn't killed the boy that got him sent to prison and the reason he was at Hogwarts; Nic felt he could commit murder now.

Lainee didn't think the little bugger would dare to hex her. The thought never crossed her mind. That was the problem with the Deva. They were all so power hungry and insane. The latter being the reasons many thought she was part of them, because she was so wickedly evil. Unfortunately since she didn't have her wand Lainee wasn't able to stop the hex. She could have used wandless magic and created a shield but again she didn't think the little twit was stupid enough to hex her. Didn't he pay attention to his surroundings in meetings? Obviously not, because he would have realized that even at this moment Lainee was moving one finger. She was fighting the stupefy curse and if someone didn't unfreeze her she was going to do it herself and then she was going to wrap her hands around this so called Deva's neck. The coward he was to fight with a wand while she had none. Oh he was going to pay. Even if Lainee had to push Devin down to get to him. All her students would tell you no one messes with Prof. Lainee. No one!

Charlie couldn't do anything right about now. She had to sit. She had to cooperate. She had to be under the control of this... this... freak of a man who takes fun out of the torture, the alienation, the total process of internal degradation at his hands. And this was all she could do? Sit there? Act scared?
It wasn't acting. This was real to her.
Charlie quit tensing up her jaw and looked around at the table of people, her Slytherin people. Again, it was one of those instances where she wanted to dictate them, but now didn't have enough power. Yet, it wasn't so much for a need of power, but for a need of safety. If anyone ever asked, it was so her qudditch players didn't get hurt.
She stashed some more of the bread rolls in her pockets, and then looked up at her table. "Eat, you guys. And keep anything you can if you get hungry. You're gonna need your energy, you hear me?"
