Nic heard his quidditch captain's voice. That was probably the wisest thing his brain didn't filter out since he was on the verge of hitting Essy and going back for the man. Nic's face softened at Essy since she basically saved his life and he sat down and started cramming food into his face and pockets. Mostly bread into his pockets. If they got out of this he didn't want a rumbling stomach to give away their position.
Nic looked at Essy and tried to pantomine I'm sorry. He wanted to talk so badly and he could feel the frustration in everything he did. He knew it was all over his face and body. He needed to steal a wand, point it out his throat, and pray he didn't mess anything up. He wasn't the best with magic actually he was right up there with a squib, but he was going to do anything to get his voice back.

"You get that in your laundry too?" Hiro said in a more normal level but with innuendo referring to the wand that had been slipped into his as well. "I was thinking to ask the elves to get rid of that for me."
Hiro still had tricks up his sleeves and he was more likely to get searched than a first year. In general it was more safe to have the young kids hold their wands.
"How about the rest of the students? There seems to be some commotion from Slytherin. Doesn't seem like the lions are doing much." Hiro backed down to his lowered voice now that he was just talking to Drew. He took comfort in hearing Charlie giving some orders to her table.

Drew was pretty sure Hiro had heard Nic's little freak out, especially with the Slytherins right behind them. Charlie seemed to have things under control there. "Everyone seems to be doing okay, trying to stay calm and orderly."
Drew turned his attention to the ciommotion from the head table and jumped slightly when one of the professors was hexed. "They just stunned Professor J and I have a suspicion that Brady might be soon." His eyes met Allegra's and he tried to smile at her. We're okay.

The seventh year lass had gotten on her feet and moving, pulling a rather defiant act in the process that only made him wonder just where everyone else's mindframe currently was. Yes they had numbers, but at the moemnt the Deva had both better skill and better positioning. But the question spawned from deryn's lips still hung in the air with an answer elusive as a golden snitch in a cauldron of leprachaun gold -- for now it simply didn't exist.
"What do we do now?"
Well elusiveness be damned that he didn't have a proper answer to give, but he certianly had more sarcastic humor. "Right now, all we can do is be good little lads an' lasses an' deal with it. Seriously though, we need to eat something and reluctently like it -- though I personally don; think I can eat a bite." He paused. "If what Shaw said is true and this," he motioned around the table. "be all we have till mornin' we need to at least make sure the younger ones eat something. Merlin knows they need it a bit more than us." It was about this time that Jamboreema got herself stunned and Torque decided to try and play hero only to be subdued by his own house. Corey was prety certain that had they had rope and a sock he'd be bound and gagged for his own safety, yet alone everyone elses.
"An'...don't do anything stupid like that. I think it's just been proven we have no opportunity right now..." He was on a rebound, with shock and fear having settled to butterflies and that hunger had dissolved to dust Corey Faulkland was actually for the first time in criss logically think with his head as opposed to his fear. Failure wasn't an option for Shaw, thatmuch was evident, and just as that wasn't accetable to him, niether was stupidity from Gryffindor house. There was a big difference between what was courageous and what was plain stupid...
Stupid benefited no one.

Alexander was fuming. It wasn't as if he had argued with her loud or anything, and being sushed....?! He was the only one at that moment between the two of them that was actually using their brains and thinking. Krissy's potato flinging could have costed her her life, as well as anyone's at the table. Didn't she know how important she was to him the school? Being head girl and all, not to mention one of the older students, she was needed highly by all of them. Even the professors could have used more help than what they had.
At that thought Alexander just couldn't say another word. What was he supposed to say that wouldn't upset her any how. Or worse, show him she could take care of this by herself? He hoped it wouldn't come to that with how rash she was acting. Didn't she ever use her head?
I need to check on Mark. Why don't you go check on your girlfriend or something...
Stunned. His mouth dropped in order to respond just as Krissy was leaving his side. What had she just said? "Kriss.." he scowled under his breath, cursing a bit to himself. What girlfriend was she talking about? If anything he would know first if such a thing was true. And who was his girlfriend suppose to be? Had someone.....a glare shot over to Rolen and then back at Krissy. Had he been lied about by someone? Otherwise, why would she think such things. They were close friends, if anything she'd be the first to know if there was someone else. But, at that exact moment, the most horrific thing was for Alexander that he could only think about one brainless, and self destructive girl.....her.
That's when Alexander was crouched walking along the table after Krissy. He could help. He knew he could. And he wasn't about to let anyone else get hurt, especially Krissy who seemed to be asking for it for some unknown reason. "Krissy..." he whispered catching up with her. "I don't know what your talking about..." he said hurriedly just in case..."but I want to help you...."

Ryder slumped back into his chair, his hand prickling from the bits of slivers received when he wand was taken from him. It was an old wand, given to him from his grandmother when he had found it in the atic of her home one day. It had taken to him as it had his great grandfather. Or so his grandmother had told him. If Ryder held any sentimental value to anything, it was that wand. Especially now, when the only family he had left was a little nephew now living with a friend who's wife could not bear children.
Because of its value to him, Ryder couldn't give his wand up as easily as he should have and after a small scuffle he had lost it. And now he felt very much like crying. This big 'manly' personage who rarely felt the need to cry or appologize for his actions felt much like he had the day his mother and sister had died in that accident so long ago....or the night he'd seen that horrified look on Becca's face when she'd seen the way he reacted to the news. It was a great sense of loss that he felt and it was very difficult to keep himself from falling apart right then and there in front of all the students, most of whom seemed to be handling the situation better than the adults.

Allegra gave a small yelp as one of the faceless, Schmit by his name, stunned the Potions professor. She was always a little wacky, so maybe getting her out of the picture quickly was a good thing.
"Mr. Brady, perhaps the best way to keep the students safe is to not antagonize our captors?" Allegra asked in a small voice.
The Deva were ruthless, something she knew of quite well. Her brother had been kidnapped and tortured, supposedly for vital information they needed, but a woman in the group had had it all along. That woman had stood by, watching Drew tortured, just for the mere fun of it.
Those were the kinds of people they were dealing with. They didn't care if one man, or even a whole table of qualified, albiet unarmed, wizards and witches 'wouldn't stand for it'. The Deva out numbered them at least two to one and they'd have no problem fighting off the staff and torturing the students at the same time.
She caught her brother's eye and smiled back. Be safe. Be smart.

A face appeared out of nowhere in front of her and Fyona squealed, and felt her heart leap into her mouth. It was then that she realized that the face belonged to Mick. Her heart still pitter-patted inside her chest, but she managed a nod. "Yeah, I'm fine," she found that she could speak, which meant some of the initial shock was wearing off. It was kind of weird to have been visited by the Shaw. Not to mention to have faceless Deva members running rampart inside the school. This raised more questions to mind. Was that why the other teachers didn't come to the feast? They were taken hostage somewhere like the rest of them? If only Fyona's thoughts could still come in any sort of order. For now those questions formed and then dissipated. Leaving nothing but emptiness.
She was unsure of what to do. She didn't think she could do anything at the moment if she wanted to. She was just taking orders like a good little girl. It never occurred to her, even in this moment that she had yet to turn over her wand. Her mind simply wasn't there at the moment. All she could think about was what was going to happen to her. To them. What was going to happen to them? She could hear things going on above her but she could see none of it. "What now?" she asked in her small voice which thankfully no longer shook. She directed her question to both Mick and Art. To anyone really.

Hannah could feel Jeremy tugging on her, but she was too busy listening to that bad man's words. One sentence was coming through loud and clear, though and the thought was scaring her. "Wands to the front" Her brown eyes grew wide with fear as the words sunk into her head. "Wands to the front... " Hannah was under the table with Jeremy, presumably safe while Drew and Hiro were standing near the table, and if she heard correctly, wand less. Or at least, she assumed they were wand less. Following Jeremy over to where he was, she too shrunk back further and almost fell into Jeremy's side, which was, where she wanted to be-- she couldn't let that man that had just peered at Jeremy or any off the other bad men know of her plan. Leaning up against Jeremy, her head reaching his ears, she whispered quietly and hoped that no one would hear her. "Wands Jeremy! They need our wands!" Hannah whispered, hoping that Jeremy would get the hint. Hannah placed her hand on her own pocket and felt for her own wand. It was there, but it wasn't much use to her. The first year knew only the basic first year spells and charms and some that she had taught herself... but none that would get her out of trouble. "Hiro and Drew!" Again, Hannah whispered quietly in Jeremy's ear and she tugged at his sleeve. They needed to do this stealthy and quickly, so no one would know what was happening. Hannah could still see Drew's rather, large feet and Hiro's smaller feet. The young girl was small enough that she could reach out and put the wands in their socks without hopefully, being noticed. "They need our wands!" Hannah fearfully whispered, hoping that only Jeremy heard her and no one else. And then some more words reached her ears. "Go ahead and finish your meals, it's all you get to morning.. " Did that mean that the really scary man had left? Again, Hannah couldn't be sure, but maybe this might be the best time to give Hiro and Drew their wands. Hannah turned her fearfull brown eyes towards Jeremy again and she wondered if he had his wand with him. "I don't have my wand," he answered her, his voice making it clear that he thought it was stupid to carry around a piece of wood that, in his hands, was totally useless. Now he kind of wished he did have it. Then he could have given it to someone who could actually use it properly. The scary men moved away and Jeremy bent over Emerald, whispering that it was all going to be okay and that they were going to be safe. He thought it made the cat feel much better. The platter of chicken was sent down and Jeremy carefully took it, putting it on the floor between Hannah and himself. Now that the Deva people had moved away, it wasn't as scary, being under the table. Kind of like a camp out actually. He split a drumstick with the cat in his lap and smiled at Hannah, feeling a little braver now. "See if you can get them to send down some pumpkin juice," told her.

Okay? No she wasn't okay she was hungry, scared, tired, upset and a thousand other things and not one of them was the word 'okay'. But there was no doubt in her mind that Seanna knew this already so the third year from her crammed spot under the table merely shook her head in reply as her brain tried to form words for her lips and came up nearly empty. "Dinner..." Lianna mouthed, hoping Seanna understood as she tried to motion her head toward Sarsha withuot drawing the second year's attention. She could go without food if she had to, she wouldn't like it and her appetite kept going up and down so it didn't matter quite so much anyway. It was now she wished she'd waited for Mark, now that she was stuck under a table and a downright emotional mess. In fact she wished many things but as sadly cute as it was, that was top of the list since Merlin cerrtainly knew having her wand wouldn'tve given her (nor anyone else) any sort of extra edge at all. Or at least that's what she thought. What was that Lianna had said? Was it Sinner? Oh, Seanna really did need to get a grip. If she ended up having a full blown panic attack in the middle of the great hall, she'd be no good to no one. "Breath and think, Marcellus" Seanna commanded herself, taking a few deep breaths and letting them out in quick succession. What rhymed with Sinner? It was dinner time when those faceless man had came. That's it! Dinner! Another smile came on her face, as she suddenly understood what Lianna had mouthed to her. Giving one thumbs up to Lianna, in a show that she understood, Seanna quickly ducked her head back out. Seanna bit her lip, watching the other Deva in the hall and noticed Krissy walking past her muttering to her to keep them under the table. Well, she could do that and what was better, she would even join them. That would keep her calm and maybe just keep the others calm if someone else was under the table with them. Grabbing some plates, she quickly passed them to Lianna underneath the table. Those plates had some chicken, bread rolls, a meat pie and a chocolate cake and Seanna came following down underneath the table, joining her younger year huffles being careful not to trudge on any food or any fingers or toes. Seanna had a good position off the now vacant open space that was once the oak doors, figuring she could probably tell who the Deva men were by their cloaks. Or well, by the more heavy footsteps, at least. Moving her blond head, she turned back to Lianna and Sarsha, unsure of what to say. All though, the smile she had on just moments before was replaced by one of doubt and uncertainty. "Here, have some chocolate cake" Seanna pushed the tray of chocolate cake towards the two girls, picking up a slice for herself. "Chocolate's always good in times like these" Now replacing the look of doubt and uncertainty with an overly, happy too much of a big smile. No, Seanna still hadn't stopped panicking. But she was putting on a good show of acting like nothing was wrong.

She let out a gasp as he landed on his back and glared up at her with the most evil glint in his eye that she had ever seen. When he stood up, she backed up, bumping into the table because she seriously thought that he was going to hit her. She could have turned the wand that she had kept hidden on him but that would screw several things up. She could defend herself with her fists, right? Dang..Not really. Tears welled up in her eyes and she waited for one of her best friends to hit her.
Suddenly, Charlie's voice was heard over the pandemonium and Nic seemed to get his senses back. Es let out a gasp that could be defined as a sob. She sat back down and started stuffing unmushy things into her pockets, mostly bread, like Nic and didn't look at him. She didn't know how she should react to this scary situation and she was ticking herself off cause she was the Prefect and she should be the one to calm everyone down. But how was she going to calm people down when she herself was scared behind belief?
She heard a small little Slytherin ask "What now?" at the end of the table. Es went over to her and crouched down so she could talk with her face to face. Seriousness was on her face bu she tried not to show fear. She spoke to her in a low tone.
"And now, we eat. Because if we're going to fight this, then we can't have any weaknesses they can use against us. So even if you don't feel hungry, just eat, okay?"

One of the older girls now brought her face down to eye level in answer to Fyona's question. "And now, we eat. Because if we're going to fight this, then we can't have any weaknesses they can use against us. So even if you don't feel hungry, just eat, okay?" She nodded.
"Kay." She felt like she could eat even if she didn't want to. Fyona grabbed Art's hand and gave it a squeeze, but she was not aware of her action. Almost as quickly and suddenly as she grabbed it, she let it go and pulled herself back unto the bench. She seated herself and dropped her spoon down on the table, but not before looking around the room and seeing the current state that it was in. Some kids looked almost as terrified as she felt, and there were even a few who were crying.
She looked down at her food and the look she gave it was nothing compared to the look she had given it not too long ago. Flicking some debris off her chicken Fyona picked off a small piece and chewed. She found it tasteless and did not find any delight in eating it. However, she did hear the rumble in her tummy from the small bite of food, so she knew that she was in fact hungry. She continued to chew chicken, and shoved in a few fork fulls of potatoes too, but she did it mechanically without thinking. She was just doing what she was told, but she became increasingly aware of Art's absence by her side. She wanted him to come up from the table. She needed him to come up from the table.

Tristan, who was being rationally quiet in his seat. Thinking of nothing of all the drama that has been pressing agaisnt him this whole term. He didn't know how to explain it to himself. But what did could shock him even more was that people came in and the first one was a fimiliar voice. Tristan rose up from his seat. "What the bloody hell?" he snapped as his first notice was the faceless creatures, or not creatures, just humans! His first motion was to warn everyone to get down. But seemingly, Keagan and Corey had already tried done so.
The next happened was a man, still faceless came into the picture, and the new Transfiguration professor, Professor Brady about to go at it. Tristan's mind then started to jot through space and time. Thinking of all of it. "Don't be a whimp, Tristan. Feel the anger within, but don't get to scared," Tristan's fathers words were going through him. Tristan didn't want to be scared, but he was. He was shaking, scared, and top of all, confused. Though he knew this was gonna happen.
Looking around, he noticed that atleast 99.9% of all the Hogwarts students was in the Great Hall. "Oh, what the f.... What the f.... What the.... ," he said being speechless as he started to step a few steps back. He wasn't even paying much attention to anyone except for the faceless men. "I knew it," he said slowly to himself loud enough to be heard. He slowly tried to take out his wand, but what if he did? He would of suffered death. He wasn't ready to die.
He still had a confused look on his face, and yet a pale face like he saw a ghost, which in this case, more frightening than a ghost. He was still standing as the rest were sitting or under the table.

She nodded down at the little girl with a reassuring smile and then went back to her seat beside Nic. Es glanced at him but that was all he gave him. With an action of her hand, she tucked her black hair behind her ear and began to eat though her stomach was in jumbles. She felt like she couldn't eat even if she wanted to but she knew she needed to take her own advice. Though, she felt good to be a reassurance for someone, she definitely wasn't for herself and she hated it. Her legs shook with fear for the future of her school but her face remained strong for her people.

Chad's eyes flicked over to Brady, wanting to knock him out for getting his way again but thought better of it. Any move and Shaw probably wouldn have cursed him into the middle of next week. His eyes wandered over to his other side now, to Allegra, hoping that was alright. Out of the corner of his mouth, he asked her. "You alright?" he muttered.
