The by tried Drew's suggestion at once and made his ears a little bit bigger and pointy and turned his eyesballs completelly black and looking at the image of him on the mirror he made some monstrouous gesture mimicking the ones he had seen in those horrors movies Drew had showed him on the TV thing.
"Wow that look freaky?" He said grinning "Won't these be too much?" Franco asked suddenly just a little bit concerned about cause Allegra a heart failure. He looked back at the mirror and wondered if people still could say it was him.

Drew giggled nervously and shivered, knowing it was really just Franco, but still finding the other boy's appearance to be quite scary. In fact, maybe it was a little too scary. In order to surprise Allegra properly, they'd have to hide under her bed or in her closet for a while and Drew wasn't sure he could manage being in such close quarters with Franco looking like that.
"Yeah. We don't want to scare her too much," Drew answered, pretending to be more concerned over his sister than he really was. Sure, he didn't want her to die of fright or anything, but looking at Franco, he was way more concerned about the possibility of having his own nightmares that evening.

Franco agreed with Drew at that, though indeed it would have been a good idea to scare some one till dead at school but not Allegra, she did not deserve that much... yet. Seconds later his eyes turned to be his normal again, a little bit redder than usual but still looking as normal human eyes.
"Alright then" he said giving a last glance at the mirror and messing his hair "now what! where is she? where should we hide" he asked just hopping his allergy would remain long enough to scare Allegra till pee her panties. He hardly could content himself from smirk just imagining the whole scene.

Drew peeked out into the hallway again before motioning to Franco to follow him. He quietly made his way down the hall, just a few feet to his sister's room and carefully opened the door.
"She went to the library," Drew whispered, rolling his eyes to show how stupid he thought it was to open any sort of book during the holidays. Okay, so he had found that really cool book about the rise of Grindelwald in his grandad's library, but that didn't count.
Allegra's room was decorated in blues and yellows, but was definitely a girl's room. Flowers and ribbons decorated the furniture and there was a bright pink lipstick kiss on the Puddlemere United poster that hung on one wall. Stuffed animals lined the shelves and sat on the bed and a neat pile of books sat on the desk. There were only two places to properly hide and Drew looked over at Franco to see what he thought.
"We can go under the bed or in the closet," the younger boy informed the older, wondering which he'd prefer.

Franco followed Drew to Allegra's room as quiet as he could, for a second afraid that Mrs. Thornton would catch them in midway, that woman seemed to have a kind of radar when Drew was to do something.
As they reached the room the boy at once gave a glance at it... so that is how a girl's room looked like, he thought looking at the stuffed animals and flowers, all clean and neat, not even a single sock hanging around... it was pretty much Allegra. The boy could not help to remember his uncle passing his finger on his room's desk and thought that Allegra would definitelly pass his standards.
"Under the bed" he said at once at Drew asked "We can pull her leg!" he suggested with a grin.

Allegra's room wasn't any big deal to Drew. He had found out most of her secret hiding places, read through her diary and raided her candy stash more than once. The best thing to do in Allegra's room, though, was to wait until she was working intently on something and then running in quickly to let lose with a loud burp or some other, more fragrant, bodily function. Of course this game was sure to be almost as good if not better.
"What if you get in the closet and I get under the bed?" Drew suggested, still a little wary of being in close quarters with Franco when he looked like that. "When she comes in, you jump out and when she screams, then I'll grab her leg and really get her going!"

"OK" Franco shrugged and without wait to be told he went to the closet and pulled the door open. It was quiet shocking! everything was ordered by color, size, season... all her shoes set neatly on the bottom, all of them looking perfectly clean... and they were so many!
"Why so many shoes! I thought she had just 2 legs..." he chuckled while could not help picture Allegra on his room, probably she would drop dead just at the door's frame. Then looked up at the set of blouses and coats hanging and pushed his way in the closet.

"I don't know!" Drew grummbled with exasperation, not understanding the thing with girls and shoes either. Sure he owned about half a dozen pairs himself, but that was nothing compared to his sister. "I asked her once and she said something about strappies or strippies or something. I don't know."
He ducked under the bed and made sure to keep his voice down as he gave final directives. "I won't come out until after she sees you," Drew told Franco. "Leave the door open a little bit. It'll bug her and she'll go and close it and then you jump out, okay?"

"Got it!" Franco said simply as pushed himself in the deep of the closet, pulled the door leaving it slihghtly ajar just like Drew had told him then pulled the set of hanging girl's clothes on their original position, to hide behind them. He struggled inside the closet for some seconds trying to get a comfortable position as he knew the waiting could take some time, then tried to keep as quiet as possible.
He leant his back on the back of the closet trying to keep an eye looking through the open and listening intently what was going on outside in the room.

The boys were probably waiting a good fifteen minutes, whispering and giggling at their cleverness. Downstairs, the vacuum cleaner was going, masking the otherwise suspicious silence that came from upstairs.
Allegra made it home, said hello to her mother and ran upstairs to drop off her newly acquired books. Her plan then, was to grab her beach towel and some stationary and write some letters to her boyfriend out by the pool. She hung her bag on the back of her chair and stacked her books neatly on her desk, thickest volume on the bottom and the smallest on the top. While the small tower might have looked crooked, it was actually set very precisely, the spines of the books creating a perfect hypotenuse to the isosceles triangle that was formed with the corner of the desk. Yes, she knew she was anal.
So it wasn't a surprise when the open closet door set her nerve on edge. How had it come ajar? Had she been so anxious to get to the library that she hadn't closed it all the way? Even the excitement of new books couldn't have done that. It was probably more likely that her little brother had been trying to find her journal and the letters her boyfriend had written her. Allegra grumbled to herself, complaining about the peskiness of little brothers. Why does he have to be so annoying? she asked herself as she went to check her closet and make sure Drew hadn't gotten into anything he wasn't supposed to.

Franco felt dead silence as soon as heard steps in the room and tried to get a look at the person walking around through the open, however it was hard to say that it was Allegra but positively it was someone in there and he was sure it was not Drew.
The boy tried hard to guess every movement of the girl by the sounds she produced and the shadows he could catch from the door opened ajar. And then he felt her approaching and knew the moment was just seconds away.
He took a last breath and then as he felt her hands just inches from the door, Franco pushed it open all in a sudden and jumping out the closed he started screaming like a maniac.
"WHAAAAAA! WAKA WAKA!!"

Just as she reached the door, it swung open. Allegra had still been fuming over the downsides to having a brother, so when someone jumped out at her, she was more than a little surprised. And then, once she saw exactly what was coming at her she let out a high-pitched, blood curdling scream. The thing was bright red with inhumanly black eyes, and it growled fiercely as it came for her. Swinging a fist at the creature, she stepped back and gave a forceful kick just as she felt something grab onto her ankle.
She screamed again, louder this time, and stomped her foot as hard as she could, hopefully crushing whatever was at her feet. From downstairs the vacuum cleaner shut off and Lolly Thornton called up to her children as she raced for the staircase, but her concerned shouts were drowned out by her daughter's screams.

Franco was having the time of his life as saw her screaming like that... Drew's idea has been excelent! He had not enjoy a day like this in Drew's home.... but then he felt the kick that made his face turn even redder as fall in all four with his hands down between the legs.
"Awwmmm..." he could just moan as ended rolling over the floor in pain hardly able to make further noises, as if the kick had also taken off any single word he could have said. All the noises, screams and yells around kind of turned off for a second as just the pain filled his head, nothing else really mattered at that moment but the pain.

"Nononononono! We were just playing around!" Drew cried out, scrambling out from under his sister's bed just as his mother made it to the bedroom door. He had been hoping for a good reaction from his sister, but really hadn't expected her bloody murder screaming. Or the kick. Just looking at Franco curled up on the floor made Drew wince.
"WHAT in Merlin's name is going ON HERE!" Mrs. Thornton asked at top volume, looking between her screaming daughter, her stuttering son, and the crumpled mass that used to be her house guest.
"We were just playing around! We didn't mean anything! I didn't think that..."
"You didn't think! That's exactly what happened! Andrew Mark Thornton, I want you in your own room until I calm down enough to figure out what to do with you!" his mother yelled, pointing to the door in case he forgot the way. With the secret passeges that intertwined through the Thornton house, it wasn't much of a punishment, but even so, there was no way Drew was going to leave his room until he was told to.
"I'm sorry, Allegra," he mumbled, feeling bad that his plan had scared her so badly. And of course there was another victim to his brilliant idea. "I'm sorry Franco..."
Of course, with a kick like that, Drew wouldn't be surprised if Franco didn't hear him. Avoiding his mother's eye, he skittered past her and hurried to his room.

He hardly had heard Drew apologizing but he did not care about that anyway, the idea of blame Drew about this never crossed his mind in first place. Franco just sat up for a second then slowly started standing up. All the little transformation he had done on his face slowly vanished, except for the glowing red issue of course, even he looked redder, if that was possible, because the pain and embarrasement.
"I... go to my room too" he mumbled not even looked neither at Allegra not at her mom. Though he still felt the pain he felt also too embarrased to stay in that room.
