Gazing down at him, she gave a slight smile, not quite able to read his expression as well as she would've liked to. The boy didn't seem to be moving, and she was happy enough to just lay there with him. But as much as she enjoyed taking in every feature, curve, fleck of blue in his eyes, every curl, she decided to shift a little turning herself around on him so her back was against him and she could pull his arms tightly around her waist and look up at the sky. Today it didn't remind her as much of his eyes as it sometimes did.
Letting her fingertips glide over the skin of his hands, Felicity tried o think of how to ask him what she wanted to ask. The blonde wanted to know something, well, two things, but one involved a little participation, the other just involved answering her question if he chose to. And then it was also his birthday, so maybe he didn't want to answer her questions and instead would rather be the questioner that day.
"Drew?" she asked, trying not to sound timid, but at the same time, her voice gave her away that she was nervous in asking, well, at least one of the things.

She didn't try to get up either and surprisingly, he didn't feel self conscious when she just looked down at him. It gave him another opportunity to memorize her freckles and count the different shades of brown in her eyes.
When she finally moved, it wasn't to get up, but to shift her position. He let his arms settle around her as he smelled her hair and kissed the top of her head, not even noticing the steady trickle of melted snow that was making it's way down his collar. Her fingers traced patterns on his hands and he flipped one palm over so he could link it up with her. Felicity's voice sounded nervous, but he wasnt sure why. She knew she could ask him anything.
"Hmmm?" he answered, kissing her hair again, enjoying its softness on his face and the smell of vanilla hidden there.

Taking his hand in hers, she let her fingers slide down between his, letting them curl slightly. The feel of his breath in her hair, the tingling sensations that sent amazing shivers down her spine when his lips barely touched her scalp and hair, wrapped up in his arms, the warmth of his presence, she loved it, she loved him. Felicity wished she could've told her mum exactly how she felt about him, tell her mum that he was the most amazing boy she'd ever known, and that she couldn't imagine being with anyone else like she was with him. To feel the way she did with him, feeling wanted, loved, needed, and knowing she was with a perfect boy.
"Will you tell me something you've never told anyone else?" she asked timidly. That wasn't what she wanted to ask first. Two options, only one could be chosen first, and she chickened out in asking the other question. But she reasoned with herself that she needed to be facing him to really ask the other one anyway. Plus, she had a couple of things she'd never told anyone else before, they were big secrets, but they were secrets and she wanted to share with him.

Nothing compared to the feeling of having her in his arms. He often thought about how well she fit right there next to him, but it was so much more than that. As corney as it sounded in his head, the only way he could describe it was he felt complete with her there. No one else could fill that space like she could.
There were a lot of things he wanted to tell her, so many things he thought she should know, but there were very few things that no one else knew. Ari, Hiro, Charlie, Seanna, even his sister... they all held a few secrets of his. While he wanted her to know those things, he didn't want to cheat her question by using one of those secrets as an answer. Could he find one that was just for Felicity?
"This... when I'm holding you like this..." he said, finally realizing he should tell her what he had been thinking. The thing was that it because of the corneyness, he had never told anyone and because he was afraid of sounding confusing, he had never told her. "It's weird, because it should probably be the other way around... but when I have my arms around you, I feel safe."

The pause didn't bother her. She knew he was thinking, she knew he'd eventually answer her, and she anticipated so many things while he thought. And then she heard his voice, so soft and close to her ear. Perfect. That's the only way she could think to describe him and even though she knew he didn't like hearing it, that's how she thought of him. He was perfect. If she could only choose one word to describe him, it would be perfect.
Who else could honestly put up with her mood changes, her attitudes, her moments? Only the most perfect boy in the world, and right now he was located under her and was holding her.
Listening to his answer made her back tighten slightly, not sure what he meant at first. Pointing out something they were doing made her nervous, as she was afraid he was going to say he didn't really like it. And when he told her it should be the other way around, the blonde shifted in his arms to be able to look at him from the corner of her eye, wondering if he really meant that she was supposed to be holding him and not him her. But he always put his arms around her.
"You feel safe?" she asked him, surprised by his answer. Felicity knew how safe she felt in is arms, but he felt safe, too?

He felt her tense in his arms and while his instincts told him to let her go, his heart told him to hold on tighter. He leaned his head on hers, hoping she'd relax into his arms again, and knowing deep down that she would. It was all a part of being safe with her.
He hoped she felt safe in his arms. It was something that was important to him, but he also knew how odd it would be for him to feel safe while holding her. He was in the protector role when his arms were around her. He knew that, felt the huge responsibility of it, and relished in it. But at the same time, there was a sense of vulnerability that he got and couldn't deny and the strange part was, when his arms were around her, it was okay to feel that way.
"It's like... anything's okay," he told her, not sure he was explaining it right, but doing the best he could. "Like I can say or do... or feel... anything. And no matter what I do, it's like... it's like... I know you'll still... you'll still love me."

It took a moment to let it all sink in before her body slowly started loosening itself. However, like always, she did relax into his hold, feeling his arms tighten just enough that she knew it was all right. Whatever it was he had to say, it'd be all right, because they were all right, well, more than all right. Being in his arms was the second safest place she felt, in her dad's presence the first. While her dad didn't seem to like Drew a whole lot, it didn't matter because she loved him and knew he'd keep her as safe as possible. Besides, being in his arms made her relax for the most part, being as he smelled so good and she loved the feel of his body against hers.
Closing her light brown eyes, the lioness listened to his answer. Everything and anything was all right because they were together and that was all that mattered.
"I will still love you," she confirmed, setting her mind about it. "You can do anything, say anything, feel anything, and I'll love you through it, no matter what." She'd always love him, always. Her love was pretty large and a lot of it focused on the boy she was with. He needed her love, or she felt that way.
Turning back around in his arms, looking down into his nice blue eyes, Felicity leaned in and touched her nose to his before softly touching her lips to his. He meant so much to him and she liked knowing that he knew just how much he meant to her.

She understood what he had been trying to say and her verification was overwhelming. As she shifted her position again, he took the moment to loosen his hold so he could wipe off his eyes. He felt stupid lying there in the snow and getting all emotional, but knew that she wouldn't think it was so stupid... and as intense as his feelings were at the moment, that knowledge just intensified them more.
She gently kissed him and he smiled back, sniffing and wiping his eyes again with a slightly shaky hand. "I love you so much," he whispered, not trusting his own voice, but needing to get the words out. "No one else could ever make me feel this way." That's what safe meant for him.

A faint smile traced over her features as she watched Drew wipe his eyes, feeling it was awfully nice he felt so much that way about feeling safe with his own arms around her that he was tearing up. The kiss was placed easily enough, feeling the need to show him she liked it, she liked him, and that she more than appreciated his honesty with her. They had a secret no one else knew, and she relished the thought. There was something almost empowering feeling about knowing something no one else knew about him.
As he reached up to brush the tears from his eyes again, Felicity's own hand shot out to touch him around his wrist, to stop him from wiping them all gone. Reaching out a finger, she gently replaced his hand to brush the tears aside as softly as she could. Letting her lips touch the corner of his, she ran her nose along his cheekbone while she made her destination to lay her cheek along his so she could softly whisper in his ear.
"I love you, too," she answered. His secret meant much more than any she could think of for herself, the primary one she thought of being nothing like what he told her. "And I love how I feel when I'm with you, too. I love how you make me feel, how gentle you are, how you make me smile."
She had one more question, and she knew she needed to ask it because right at the moment she wanted to, but she wanted to make sure not to make him go from one mood to another too quickly. Or at least she hoped he'd be happy when she asked him.

He gave an embarassed smile when she reached up and traced her finger across his cheeks. He still felt silly for crying, but when it came down to it, he really didn't care. Her touch was gentle and he closed his eyes, just enjoying the feel of her soft fingers on his face. She gently kissed his cheek and Drew gave a long and happy sigh, letting her words warm him as his arms found their way around her again. He took a moment to let it all sink in, relishing the fact that she loved him and let him lover her back.
"So, I guess the secret is your boyfriend is a huge sap," he joked weakly. There were a few other people who knew he was, but the part he had specifically told her was something only she knew.

Giggling softly when he admitted to her that he was a sap, Felicity loved that he was able to say something like that, and not sound regretful. Kissing his ear carefully, the blonde pulled away slowly, making a trail of kisses down to his neck and back to his ear. "And I love you all the more for being one."
It was funny to hear him say something like that, especially when she didn't believe him to be one. Drew was strong, protective, masculine, and everything that made him a perfect person to feel safe with. He wasn't a sap, sure, maybe he had his moments, but didn't everyone? His softer side was amazing, because he was so gentle with her, could sometimes find the right thing to say, knew what to do, had wonderful surprising moments for her.
"I have another question..." she trailed off, hoping not to sound even more nervous. The butterflies in her stomach were flipping, twirlying, doing everything to make her feel ill, but it felt so nice.

He smiled as he looked up at her, and again let that warm feeling of safeness wash over him. He had a few confidants, had thought he was in love before, but it was all different with Felicity. No one could match what she meant to him; she was everything and so much more.
"You going to make me get all emo on you again?" he asked, reaching a hand up to play with her hair. He hadn't really expected the wave of emotion to hit him like it had, and while he didn't mind it around her, he thought that he could probably use a little warning if she was going to do it again.

Scrunching up her nose as she peered down at him, she shook her head, making the blonde locks flounce as she did so. While she wasn't entirely sure of the definition of "emo" she had a general idea as she'd heard others use it. But even then, what she thought it meant she didn't think Drew was acting like that, but maybe it was just a saying or something.
"No?" she said in a questioning tone, touching her nose to his. Felicity didn't mind if he teared up a little, she thought it was awfully nice that he didn't mind doing that in front of her. Something her dad had told her before was that a real man could tear up, let the water fall, and it made her wish her dad liked Drew more than he did. It just wasn't fair at all.
Leaning in Felicity pressed her lips hard against Drew's, lingering for just a moment, hoping to defeat the butterflies before she asked him. Though, those crazy bugs in her belly just got crazier when she kissed him again. But now she had to go through with the question, she needed to ask him what she wanted to know. Gulping slightly, trying to swallow all the nerves that wouldn't leave her alone, she let her brown eyes close as she carefully drew back from the kiss, nibbling his bottom lip very, very lightly. It wasn't often she did it, nervous about not doing something correctly, or hurting him without meaning to, but she did it this time. Making one more trail to his ear, she kissed him softly before asking.
It wasn't bad, it wasn't horrible, and she wanted to know. She was sure she was ready, she'd been for a while but the right timing hadn't ever been available, at least not like she wanted. "Will you kiss me differently?" she whispered in his ear, hoping his answer would be yes. They hadn't tried yet, and she was ready, she knew she was.

Her kiss surprised him, but only because it was so forceful. Sure, he enjoyed the soft gentle ones, but figured if she kissed him like that he would have to share feelings with her way more often.
And it wasn't just the kiss that surprised him. As she strated nibbling gently on his lower lip he gave a soft squeek, not sure what to think. He had tried to nibble her once, but just the once, and even though she had nibbled on him a few times, he figured it wasa one of those things she could do, but he couldn't. He didn't have a problem with it because there were a lot of things he could think of that worked that way.
"Differently?" he asked in response, not exactly sure what she meant even though he had a few ideas. Heck, he could think of a bunch of different ways... and places... he'd be willing to try. He just wasn't sure it was what she was thinking.

The noise he made surprised her, but she didn't let it deter her from what she had planned on. With the butterflies going at top notch speed as they were, she couldn't afford to let that noise bother her, too. And she'd all ready asked if she could ask him something, so she had to go through with it because she couldn't really think of anything else right then, not when she was curious about a possible kiss. Not to mention, she liked kissing him and she liked asking him questions, but she wanted to kiss him right then, not thinking of other questions to ask.
"Yes?" she answered. Slight fear was starting to take over, she didn't want to have to try to explain it if he didn't understand, she was all ready highly embarrassed thinking about having to ask him, but she didn't know how it was really done. She had her own ideas, had endured talks from both Cherry and Lindsay, but she didn't want to mess anything up. What if she did something wrong?
Or maybe he just wasn't ready even though she was? Suddenly she was thinking that she should've just asked a different question...
