On all desks were little red apples. Why was there red apples on the desks? Oh, so they can eat? No. They were there for the lesson they were going to learn today. They were going to learn how to enlarge, or swell up, things and then reduce it back to its normal state. Now, the charm to make it enlarge was easy, but the reducing spell was going to be tad bit hard. It had to deal with your emotions and stuff. So they needed to be ready. He was going to have to teach them right.
He waited for the students to arrive, he was already at the door waiting.
"Yes..."

"Hey Sir."
Matty entered the classroom with a small smile on her face. She didn't look as sick as she had been for the past few days, and so the teenager was feeling a tad bit happier. Well, that and the fact that this was a charms lesson. Charms was probably one of Matty's best subjects, for she loved the practical side of it, and the production she got out of it. The Hufflepuff took her seat to wards the back of the room, and removed the scarf that was wrapped around her neck. The girl's green eyes glanced over the many apples seated upon each desk and nodded slightly. Matty fished out her gear, before leaning back in her chair slightly. "How're you today, Professor?" she asked casually, out of both interest and kindness. Being first wasn't always the best, but it was better than being late.

Second into the class, right behind someone that Abby...hadn't quite bonded with. It wasn't that she didn't like Matty, there had just been so much hostility and tension in that compartment that day that it was hard to decide where they stood. The two had barely even spoken to each other and Abby didn't really know the girl. From what she had seen, Matty actually seemed like a pretty nice girl. So with a deep breath, Abby made her way toward where Matty had taken a seat and slipped into the chair next to the girl.
"You mind if I sit here?" Abby asked timidly.

Jax rolled her eyes at the two she found in the room before her, though it was mostly at the fact that Jax was jealous that anyone had someone to sit by. She could only hope that soon Snake and, or Lianna would show up and sit next to her. Shoving her hands in her pockets, she gave the professor a small smile and walked over to a desk that was on the complete opposite side of the class than the two girls were. Again she rolled her eyes, and took her seat, knowing well enough not to touch the red apple in front of her. She'd done that before... that was never a good experience. Sighing, the raven girl slouched back in her chair and annoyingly sighed again. What a pain in the butt this class tended to be...

Autumn ambled into the class without looking at anyone. She was just happy she made it on time. She had been attacked on the fourth floor by Peeves. With a few words she knew her parents would not like and a well found hiding place she got away. Almost scot free. Her bag was soaking wet. She trudged over to a seat near everyone else and took out her wand. She started to dry off her bag, hoping nothing was ruined on the inside.
She looked around the classroom seeing who was there. No one she knew. A Gryffindor, a Hufflepuff, and another Ravenclaw. She hadn't met any of them before. She kept a watchful eye on the door, hoping a certain boy would walk in soon and relive her of her slightly sour attitude.

Beau, not one to usually be exactly on time, hadn't noticed time slipping him by. He had been practicing his guitar for a little while during a time and had forgotten about his charms lesson until it was about four minutes from actually starting. The Hufflepuff boy flew up the several flights of stairs, walking more quickly that he was accustomed to. Just before he entered the room he took care to smooth out his hair, fix his tie, and check his over all appearance. He finally checked his watch to see that he still had one or two to spare. He smiled a triumphant smile as he walked into the Charms classroom, glad he had been able to get some practice time in as well as come to class looking respectable and ready to learn.
The fact that Autumn was already in the classroom seemed to brighten the Hufflepuff slightly. The girl looked a bit down, though, so as he walked over and slid into the seat next to hers he smiled brightly, asking, " Ready for another exciting charms lesson? " His sarcasm couldn't have been more obvious. Autumn looked less than excited for anything.

Autumn looked away from the door and down to her bag. She opened it finding everything inside was wet. With a exasperated sigh she started to pull items out, not letting them touch the apple in front of her. Then one by one she dried everything off. She didn't need this right now. She shook her head, yelling at Peeves there instead of yelling at him. She could kill the ghost. That is if he could be killed again.
Then a voice made her jump. She looked over only to see the one person she wanted to see. With a smile she said, "Yes. As long as Peeves isn't invited to class. He ruined my day pretty much." She pointed to her now mostly damp books. "Got me whilst I was coming from breakfast." After she said that her face went back to a smile. She couldn't not be happy when he was around.

Tianne could not wait for charms. Along with History of Magic and Potions, it was one of her best subjects, and it was definitely one she enjoyed. Today, they would be learning the engorgio charm and reducio, which Tianne knew was to do with size. It didn't take a brightmind to figure that one out, it was simple, considering the words that they contained was to do with that. Basically running to charms, just so she could see her classmates before the lesson started, Tianne was happy to see Abby and Matty already there.
Walking up to the pair, Tianne grinned happily. "Hey guys, mind if I park here?" She giggled, taking a seat next to Abby, regardless of what she was going to say. "How've you been?" Tianne asked the two. She was excited, and you could tell.

Another lesson with the fifth years. As Emeric walked into the classroom he noticed that, once again, there were more fifth years than fourth years. The current count was five to one, unfair odds in Emeric's opinion, but as he walked in to join Jax, the other fourth year, the odds were evened out a little bit more.
He scanned the people in the class and walked over to where the fourth year girl, Jax or something, was sitting. all by her lonesome. Emeric would deny the fact that he had any amount of compassion in his being, but he did notice that the girl looked rather lonely. He wasn't exactly sure why, but he decided to sit by her. As he passed by Matty, he gave her a small nod, muttering, " Miss Wentworth, a pleasure. " He quickly reached the seat next to Jax and sunk down into it. " Boring lesson, eh? " He said, his attempt at making conversation with the girl.

Autumn and Beau, Autumn and Beau. What was up with those two? Their flirting in potions class had been rather obvious to the Ravenclaw girl, but she wondered if they were actually dating yet. She sent a soft grin the pair's way and scanned the room for another group to sit with. She didn't want to intrude on the two. They were just too cute in Ellie's opinion. She hadn't seen her brother so smitten in a long time and it was... well just cute.
She noticed three groups that had formed so far, one of her brother and his friend Autumn, another with a mean looking Slytherin and a down and out looking Ravenclaw, and the other consisting of three other girls. Not wanting for her bright mood to be darkened by the gloomy looking bunch, she walked over to the group of girls. " Hey, guys. " She sat down, not feeling too extremely familiar with anyone in the group. There was Tianna, same house and year as Ellie, and then Matty and Abby, both fifth years as well. Ellie didn't know any of them too well, but she didn't mind making the effort to make new friends.

As another sat down next to her, Jax rose an eyebrow at the boy. Did she know him? Crossing her arms over her chest she snorted at his question, rolled her eyes and nodded her head. "You're telling me. Like... Charms is alright, but we used to have another professor... I liked him better. More interesting than this bloke is," she shook her head not caring if Snow heard her or not. What was the point? They guy was boring and that was all that there was to it. Turning her face towards the boy she then realized that he was one of the Slytherins that were in her year. What his name was, well... that escaped her, but what she did see a pattern of was that she tended to hang out with more of them than naught. She definitely was in the wrong house.
"It's...." Jax pointed at the boy, then scratched her chin mockingly. "Don't tell me... I know enough of your house, I'm sure I can remember you too..." her words trailed off as she really couldn't remember his name at all. Now she needed Snow more than ever... if only to call out the kid's name so she could pretend to have known it. "It's something with a number in it..." She snickered and rolled her eyes at herself as she sighed. She smiled brightly, her blue eyes dancing with at least a bit more enthusiasm than they were a minute or two prior. "Do you play on the quidditch team in your house?" she asked wondering if she could narrow it down that way... and hoping she wasn't annoying the kid too much. Without Snake or Lianna, the class was going to be boring... so if she chased another away, then she'd really be in a bit of a pickle.

Either Emeric was feeling particularly and rarely like a people person or he was getting lonely of always having to sit by himself. Or the third option, that he rather liked messing with people. ' but we used to have another professor... '
The Slytherin scoffed at this comment, asking her, " Which one? " The professors had passed through Hogwarts so much that they began to blend together after a while. He tried to remember the last charms professor, and was able to recall his face but not a name. The Slytherin's eyes scanned towards the front of the room where a pretty older girl had just entered the room. Unfortunately, though, she moved in the opposite direction away from where he and Jax were sitting. His dark brown eyes met back with the younger Ravenclaw's blue ones and he smirked slightly as she said his name was something with a number in it.
" Well, you've got that one right. " He said with a slow nod of his head. " No, don't play quidditch. I'm a bit more of a spectator than a participant of the game. " With that, he remembered the brutal game of Slytherin versus Ravenclaw. He was almost glad of not being on the team after that particular loss.

Jax snorted and nodded. "Touche," she said not really remembering the professor's name either. The guy was great though, that was for sure, but she couldn't really remember his name. "All I remember is that he was before Snow, and I never once fell asleep in his class." She shook her head, looking at the front of the classroom before looking back toward Emeric. His eyes seemed to be fixed on another whom entered and Jax almost wondered why he was even sitting next to her. It wasn't like she asked him to, nor were they comrades of any sort. A raised eyebrow, the boy looked back at her and continued their conversation.
It didn't seem like he was bound to give her his name without asking, and she was growing tired of trying to guess. What did it matter? The kid couldn't get all that offended, and if he did, well that was his problem. "Jax Chaput," she said sticking her her hand in order to shake and greet the Slytherin. "Charmed, I'm sure," she jested, as she laughed slightly. "Well, no quidditch means that at least I'm not losing my touch with their names." Jax smirked as her eyes danced and she shrugged.
"You know though, they'd probably talk to you if you were closer to them," Jax snickered gesturing with her head at the group of girly girls. "But then again, they may all squeal and say something to the extent of you having cooties..." she whispered slightly, her words trailing off as she began to snicker and laugh slightly. The girls in her year and the year above all seemed... well... really girly and much to into all that cute cuddly stuff. It was why Jax liked her relationship with Snake so much, friends till the end... and their mushy stuff wasn't everywhere for everyone to see. She rolled her eyes, sighed, and leaned back in her chair with her hands behind her head, holding it up. At least she had someone to talk to...

A half hearted laugh escaped Emeric at the girl's mention of ' touche. ' He did wish he could remember the blokes name, though... He had been a good professor while he had been at Hogwarts. Emeric still couldn't remember much about him.
Eventually, the girl grew tired of having to ask questions and just introduced herself to him. A good move, as Emeric would have continued letting her guess without ever giving her his full name. " Emeric Troy, the Third. Pleasure indeed. " He said, taking the girl's hand and shaking it. His hand dropped back to his side as his eyes flicked back to the front of the room, to where Professor Snow was standing. Either the bell was particularly long that day or the man just wanted to wait for a few remaining stragglers to come into class.
' You know though, they'd probably talk to you if you were closer to them. ' He scoffed at her comment, his smirk quick to return to his face as he turned back to Jax. " What, they can think I have cooties but you don't? " He raised an eyebrow as he looked at Jax. Sure, it was somewhat evident that she wasn't nearly as girly as all of these other girls, and the mere fact that she didn't sit with them was evidence to that fact.

"I knew there was a number in there, somewhere," Jax laughed lightly as she allowed her hand to stretch from Emeric's to hold the back of her head up. The girls on the other side of the room were chatting it up, as the usually did, but Jax ignored them. What use was it to listen or to comment...
As Emeric scoffed at her comment about them, though, Jax had to laugh again, her cheeks high from the smile on her face. "It's not that I don't think you have cooties, my friend..." Jax corrected him in a matter of fact tone. "I know you have them. I just know how to deal better," she gave the kid a wink and laughed again thinking that that was probably the last thing he'd expect to hear.
Sitting her chair back down on the ground from it's leaning position, she looked at the clock and sighed. No sign of Lianna or Snake, but in a small way... it didn't surprise her. Looking back at Emeric, Jax smirked again and rolled her eyes. "Plus," she paused, giving the guy a smug look. "I'm a lot cooler than most girls." Jax snorted and giggled slightly. Now if the class were only over... she'd offer to show the kid, but there was no being cool during school.
