Devon had no where to be, and the mysteries of the castle were calling to him. He'd yet to find a secret passage of some sort, and he was determined to do so. Also, he needed to just get away. He'd been thinking to hard on somebody lately and wanted it to stop, and now his sister was at Hogwarts, which could only mean bad things. Sighing as he strolled, Devon looked up and down the walls of the fifth floor corridor, searching for something out of place.
Stopping in front of an odd looking painting that didn't quite seem to sit on the wall, Devon leaned in curiously. However, as he did so, the portrait came alive and screamed at him for being to close. Jumping back, Devon tripped over his own feet and came crashing to the ground. "Ow," he moaned as he simply sat there, not trying to get up.

A whole day spent with someone she wouldn't have imagined, was quite a shook for Matty, yet she was thinking things might still come good. This day however, she had strolled the castle halls from the towers, now to the fifth corridor. Smiling at event's in her life she was thinking of, she didn't resize who was to ahead of her. So as she dreamily walked down in slow motion, it all happened. That right, Matty just happened to be standing a bit over/behind Devon when he was stunned back by the painting. So falling down with him, he landed a bit on her legs, them both alnding with his ahnds over her legs, probably closest to a 'T' shpe.
"Oh Hey Devon," she casually said turning playfully around to him and smiling widely to him. "Are my legs comfortable?" she asked in another playful tone, giving him a wink.

The second Devon sit the ground, he realized he had fallen on someone. He hadn't even seen anyone else on the floor, but somehow, the klutz had managed to take someone down with him. Upon hearing a voice, Devon knew hew recognized it an turned around. "Oh, blimey!" Devon cried, scrambling off of Matty, "Did I hurt you? I'm so sorry, I didn't even seen you there!" Devon blushed feverishly as he stood up quickly and then bent down, giving Matty his hand so he could help her up. "Really, I'm sorry," Devon repeated.

Matty couldn't help but slightly giggle at Devon's approached of the situation. All the same, she smiled and took his hand up and said "Yeah I'm fine." she said before letting go of his hand "and it's alright Devon, i suppose they were comfortable weren't they?" she said with a giggle. It really was quite entertaining. Looking up at the painting that made Devon stumble over her however, she took out her wand and shot a few gold sparks at the picture. That little person in the painting, then started dancing because of the sparks hitting him.
Soon after she eases off, and the little person ran off to a tree in the painting. "There" she said in conclusion "now the little meany weeny people wont hurt you." she said in a playful tone. Though it was good to see Devon again.

Devon still blushed as Matty took his hand and stood up, and then made the people in the picture run and hide. Scratching the back of his head nervously, Devon looked down and became suddenly extremely interested in his shoe laces. "Yeah, they were sort of comfy," he answered lamely, but then laughed at himself. Definitely not the slickest kid in the school.
"Uhh, thanks," Devon said as Matty convinced him the people weren't going to hurt him anymore. He couldn't help but smile slightly, and he remembered the reason he had been looking at the painting to begin with. Grinning mischievously, Devon turned back to the portrait. "Something looked weird about this portrait..." Devon began, leaning in to inspect it again. He searched off over it, but found nothing out of the ordinary, until he lifted it off the wall slightly. "Whoa..." Devon gasped, "Check it out."
Holding the painting to the side, it revealed a hole in the wall that was big enough for a shorter person to crawl through. What was on the other side? Devon was determined to find out.

Grinning evilly, Matty watched as Devon examined the painting, then she was just about to stop him before he took off it off the whole ruddy wall! "Sweet..." she said walking over to him and smiling to her side. Taking a quick glance from him to the hole in the wall, she walked up to it. It looked fairly old, and round enough for them to squeeze through. Grabbing onto the sides of the hole, she lifted herself up a bit to look into the whole. Though if they were going to get up, she may need some help from Devon. (( )) Still deeply looking into the hold, Matty then turned side on to Devon and said "Are you thinking what I'm thinking Devon?" the adventures smile taking over her mouth. Maybe they she would get a help up, then her and Devon could be able to 'explore' the passage of the fifth floor. Or maybe he would just say 'Nar, i reckon it's a bad idea. Let's go get some dinner.' as she resized that the cloud out the window was brushed with pink and blue spots, from the setting sun. Was he game enough to come?

"I hope you're thinkin' what I'm thinkin'," Devon replied with a sly grin, "'Cause I'm thinkin' we should do some explorin'." Putting his hands together, Devon bent down slightly, holding his hands out so Matty could step on the and pull herself up if she needed. "Need a step up?" he asked. Glancing out the window quickly, Devon could see that it was getting late. Dinner would start, but he was sure they'd miss it. It was a pity, but The Gryffindor boy was more curious about the passage they had just found. Dinner could wait.

Nodding of course, Matty put her hand upon Devon's shoulder, before lightly taking his step up. "Thanks." she said. Getting her foot up into the hole was the easy bit, though falling down onto her two knee's so she could crawl through the hole was slightly risky.
Her hand now off Devon's shoulder, Matty felt a cold dirt like substance on her knees. Shuffling forward about a meter, Matty looked back at the hole entrance where Devon still was. Grabbing her wand from her pocket, she muttered something before her wand lit itself. The small tunnel had infact grown larger then the beginning of it.
Slowly turning around, she then crawled back to Devon and reached out her hand for him to get a help up. "Com'on." she said with a sweet smile looking down to wards him.

Devon grunted slightly as he helped Matty up, not because she was heavy, but because he really had no arm strength. He was working on it... "Up we go," Devon said as Matty lifted herself up. He watched for a moment, and then saw a light flickering, and assumed it had been her wand. Standing on his tip toes, Devon peered into the hole to see what there was to see. Nothing, but that was only because this was just the beginning of the tunnel. The young Gryffindor boy was now very eager to see where it led.
Smiling as Matty stuck out her hand, Devon took it and began to pull himself up. He jumped, and grabbed the edge with his other hand, and then pulled his legs up. Sitting in the tunnel now, next to Matty, Devon took out his wand and lit it as well. He crawled forward slightly, shining the light in to see what was ahead. Still more darkness and still more tunnel. Perfect. "On we go?" Devon asked with a grin.

As Devon pulled himself up, Matty watched and smiled before looking ahead. Sure what she was about to do was slightly geeky, but her writer had her reasons. Then as he also lit his wand, her eyes lit up more. The tunnel ahead was dark and quite cool, then looking to Devon Matty said "Sounds good, you first since you'll wanna do the guy thing." she insisted. And knowing that she wasn't going to budge unless Devon went first as she knew he would want to, Matty edged her head a little to forward them, re-firing for him to go.
She knew this was going exiting and a big adventure. After all, from what Matty knew, Devon was a very adventurous person. Looking from her wand light to the end of the tunnel, she waited for him to lead. Maybe at the end it would just drop off, now that would be exiting, though on another hand it might just lead to a down slope to the end.

Devon scoffed slightly at Matty's mindset, but he grinned at her, shaking his head. "Guy thing, my foot," he retorted, chuckling, "But, if you insist madame, I will go first." Devon raised his wand valiantly as if he was about to go off to war, but burst out laughing at himself, and just started to crawl long the tunnel.
Knowing that the knees of his pants were probably being ruined, Devon crawled on. He clamped his wand in between his teeth to he had both hands for support, and there was enough room above them for Devon to keep his head up. So far, there was nothing to see ahead of them except darkness and more tunnel and it making Devon all bummed out. He was hoping for a great adventure, and it seemed as if someone had answered Devon's prayers, as the tunnel came to a fork, and there were 4 directions they could go. Left, right, ahead, or behind. Behind clearly wasn't an option. "Which way?" Devon mumbled, trying to hold on to his wand and turn his head to face Matty.

Giggling at Devon's retort, Matty smiled and followed behind him. Then watching as he lifted his wand 'valiantly' she too snickered at him. As he wand was low on the ground, she decided to put it in the same position as Devon's so they could see better. The small tunnel was very dark ahead, and the light from the hold behind had almost dimmed into a wand sized dot. Watching however as Devon continued, it was becoming a bit suspicious on why there wasn't anything then just a tunnel in the wall. Then, as both their wand lights hit the splits of the tunnel, Matty thought for a second, before hearing Devon speak.
Smirking, she watched him and then answered with "I dunno but, i think that they are all just different splits to get to one place. Maybe different routs coming from other corridors?" she said looking still at Devon and smiling. "But if i must pick, then forward, because that would be the shortest to get anywhere." still grinning.

"Onward, then!" Devon declared, pressing forward, "I really hope we find something soon. This is getting pret--WAHH!!" There was a crash and a puff of dust as Devon fell through a hole he hadn't seen in the ground and slid along another tunnel. He finally reached ground, and landed on his feet, but was unable to stand and crumpled to the ground. "I have no idea where I am," Devon called up to Matty from the floor in a monotone voice, "But you should probably come down too."
Devon stay on the floor, curious as to where he had landed, but didn't think enough to actually move. Instead, he held his wand out to the side and shone the light around, trying to figure out where in the name of Merlin he was.

Nodding and smiling, Matty followed a little behind him while listening to what he was saying before... "Devon!" she exclaimed before a cloud of dust entered her lungs. Coughing a few times before scrambling forward, Matty too did not see the drop off into the cavern around. Though she did not have to luck of moving and landing on her feel beside Devon, she in fact some how turned of her side, and landed with her back on Devon's stomach. Her wand this time, had gone strewn, but till was lit, lying on the floor around what they didn't know, was a room.
Sitting up so she wasn't laying on Devon, Matty slid off him, though still sitting, she took hold on one of his hands and pulled him up so he could see around. "I'm sooooo sorry Devon, are you alright?" the girl was close to wanted to be shunned for landing on the poor guy. She wasn't heavy, though the fall would've hurt anyway. Smiling slightly, she kept a soft grip on his hand, just in case he was to pass out and hit his head.

Devon grunted loudly as the extra weight of little Matty crashed down upon him. The wind was knocked out of him, and it hurt slightly, but he was fine. "Payback," he choked out as she slid off him, and he grinned at her as she hauled him up. Shaking his head slightly, Devon brushed the dirt off himself and stood up slowly, bringing Matty up with him. "Where are we?" he asked, his voice returning to normal as he was able to breathe again.
Spinning around on the spot slowly, Devon examined what he could see of the dark room. There was carpet on the floor (very dusty carpet at that) and a few chairs here and there, but that was all Devon could make out. He walked slowly toward a wall and felt along it, looking for candles or something that could make more light than there wands. "Are there any candles or somethin' over there?" he asked over his shoulder.
