"That would be lovely!" Abigail answered. "Or perhaps we can have you over when Andrew's parents come back in town." Drew had been focused on the pretty blonde next to him but turned as he heard his aunt's words. He still wasn't sure he was ready to introduce his mom to Felicity and really wasn't ready to put her in the same room as Mr. Hjort. Hoping it wouldn't go much farther than just talking, Drew turned back to Felicity.
"I can think of a couple of things you could do, but I don't know if it would be a good idea in front of your mom and my aunt," Drew answered, lowering his voice and raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, now that would just be the nicest," Meadow told Miss Thornton. While she knew her daughter was excited to hopefully be meeting the Thornton clan this summer, Meadow really would enjoy meeting them as well, if only to speak about their children's paths together. Meadow was rather hoping to find kinsmanship on the belief that they were just playing with young love and that it would either eventually pass or they'd move on. Though, that ring Felicity wore on her finger and the necklace around her neck both of which she wore religiously were slightly bothersome. Her daughter was much too young for the thoughts a ring brought, even if Ashley had been the same age as Felicity when Jacob gave her a promise ring. Ashley wasn't her daughter. "We'll have to keep in touch with plans. I think it would be a lovely idea all around."
Light pink lips parted as Felicity's mouth dropped at what Drew said. Giving a furtive glance to the older two woman, she was glad they were submersed in their own conversation and seemed to be momentarily ignoring the two of them. "Drew! You can't talk like that in front others," Felicity told him, even quieter than he had been. While she had been thinking of a number of things they could be doing if they were alone, she wasn't about to express it aloud,, not in front of those two.
However, she couldn't help but smirk slightly and playfully punch his arm, making sure not to ram him too suddenly or too hard. "Me too..." she mouthed at him, before leaving his side to take the platter over to his Aunt finally.

Drew's playful snicker turned into a giggle as she poked at him. His bark was definitely worse than his bite and she knew any snarky comment was meant to be taken on the tame side of things. He wouldn't mind a good snogging if they were alone, but he wasn't about to try anything with the others there. Her answer made him giggle again and he felt his ears go bright red. Hopefully the women in the room wouldn't notice.
"I'd enjoy that," Abigail answered, wondering how well it would go over if she kept in contact with Mrs. Hjort behind her nephew's back. Now that they had met, it was hardly impropper, but she had a feeling Andrew would not be too pleased. As she walked the woman back to the door, she came up with another route to get to know this woman better. "Andrew tells me you have a small Herbology business," she started. "I have an extensive greenhouse, but I'm nervous about growing my own asphodel with Andrew living here full time now. Would it be possible to contact you if ever I'm in need?"

Seeing his ears turn colour, Felicity smiled to herself, but didn't go too far when she saw the other two women leaving the room. Her platter could wait for his Aunt's return rather than following her with the loaded platter of sugar biscuits. Turning back around, she sat the platter on the edge of the table and took a step closer to Drew, reaching out to touch his hand and resting her forehead against his arm.
"Oh, yes, that's right," Meadow answered. She had forgotten Felicity told her of his allergies to Asphodel as well as kiwi. When cooking she'd been sure to keep kiwi from everything, and under Felicity's request she had been sure to place a fence around the Asphodel in her garden, as well as mark which plants within her home were Asphodel so Andrew would be sure to not touch or go too near them. "And of course, I always have a little extra on hand because many of the potions I brew include Asphodel, and I've also found to sells well down in Diagon. I don't know what it is, but wizards just don't seem able to get enough of it at times."
Meadow was always willing to help out and she had no qualms in sharing her store.

"My sister has also sent me a few plants native to the Americas," Abigail continued. "You will have to come over another time to see if any might be of use to you or your customers. Perhaps we can have a nice chat over tea at the same time." If her grandnephew was going to spend so much time with Felicity, she wanted to make sure she knew the family.
As they reached the front hallway, the door at the far end swung open by itself. "Please, I hope you'll owl me anytime. It was such a pleasure to finally meet you," the older woman said, sincerly disappointed Mrs. Hjort couldn't stay longer. "And thank you again for bringing the children over. I'm so pleased Felicity could come for a visit."
Back in the sun room, Drew was just enjoying a simple moment with Felicity. As she leaned against him, he put his arms around her, pretty sure his aunt wouldn't mind it too much if she came back and found them like that. "I'm glad you came over," he told her, leaning down to give her a quick kiss on the top of her head.

"I'm glad your Aunt let me come over," Felicity answered, closing her eyes and breathing in his scent. So far it seemed things were going well, his Aunt hadn't looked or sounded offended by her yet. Though, she knew she'd have to back out of Drew's arms before she returned and saw them, knowing her father wouldn't be happy to see them like that. There was no reason to make his Aunt believe they were doing something they shouldn't have been, not that they really did anything they shouldn't have been...usually.
"really?" Meadow asked, impressed. While she loved the fauna from the European Wizarding culture, she had also been fascinated by some from the American culture fauna. "That really would be lovely, Miss. Becket. I would enjoy having a cuppa sometime." Writing back and forth with the woman would prove to be interesting the red headed woman thought to herself. She would have a chance to get to know a woman that was obviously involved in herbology and a new corespondent was always welcome to the woman.
"Thank you for inviting her over. She had been looking forward to meeting you and Andrew's parents last summer, but with things that happened, it was no longer an option in my husband's opinion. But she really has been counting down the days till she'd be able to meet you." Perhaps that information would embarrass the young Hjort daughter, but Meadow thought it was nice to let others know of such information as it allowed them to know how much someone had been looking forward to something. "Really, it's been a pleasure making your acquaintance finally."

As the two women said their final goodbyes in the front hall, Drew took advantage of a few private moments with his girlfriend. He knew there wasn't enough time to get some good kissing in, but he could enjoy just holding her a little longer. As soon as his aunt returned, he'd probably be expected to keep his hands to himself.
"So when do I get my present?" he asked, leaning down to whisper in her ear. While he was there he got in a quick little kiss high on her jaw, doubting he'd get an opportunity later.

The warmth of his breath in her ear sent chills down her spine and she snuggled in closer to him, trying to ignore the sensations his little kiss sent through her as well. How he could do that to her, she wasn't sure, but she was sure he knew what he was doing. They couldn't very well start kissing on one another right there, she wouldn't ever be allowed back over again.
"Please don't do that..." she whispered back softly, craving to kiss him, but doing her best to refrain. She loved his kisses so much, but she knew she wouldn't stop if she started, not in time. Turning her face toward his cheek, she gently moved her lips along his jaw, her nose against his cheek, moving to place her forehead against his chin, where his lips could touch her if he wanted them to.
"After breakfast?" she asked, again her voice quiet, but this time wavering slightly.
"Well, I really must be off Miss Becket, it really has been such a pleasure to finally meet you," Meadow again repeated, making sure the other woman knew how much she really did appreciate it. Holding her her hand out, she waited to shake the other woman's before making her exit.

He was a little surprised she asked him to stop, and even more surprised when she brushed her lips against his jaw. "So you can, but I can't, huh?" he asked softly, leaning his head on hers so he could smell her hair. He was teasing, but he also wanted to know the rules. He supposed it didn't matter too much considering they only had a few more moments.
"Kissing after breakfast?" he asked in a soft, but hopeful tone, again teasing. He doubted his aunt would leave them alone, but perhaps he could show her the gardens or something and get some alone time with her that way.
Abigail took the woman's hand and shook it warmly. "The pleasure was all mine, Mrs. Hjort," she answered before seeing the woman out and making her way back to the sunroom.

Shaking her head, causing the loose blonde locks to sway, Felicity smiled to herself. "No, that was just paying you back," she told him. He'd kissed her, she had the chance to kind of return the favour, so she did. Honestly, she was hoping he wanted to kiss her as badly as she did him, but she also knew there wouldn't be any of that since she was supposed to be on her best behaviour and not be told she couldn't ever visit Drew again, or told that she wasn't allowed to see Drew anymore. While he was a man by the standards of both Muggle and wizarding ways, he was still living under the roof and rules of his Aunt.
"No!" she giggled, pulling away from him before she did try to kiss him. "Presents after breakfast, but we should scarf down as quickly as possible because it wouldn't be nice to keep the present waiting on all of us. Though, it really depends on if your Aunt is willing to let you open it afterward."

Drew giggled back at her protest, reaching out to poke her in the side as she shied away. He knew it wasn't a denial of all kissing, but rather an understanding that they had to keep their lips off of each other for the afternoon.
The sound of his Aunt's heels in the hallway signaled the woman's return and though he still had a smile on his face, he stepped away from Felicity to gather up the tea pot and cups to take to the table. Moments before his aunt appeared, Kester came in with three plates dressed with fruit and quiche. He set them on the table and scampered off just as Drew's aunt entered the room.
"Felicity, dear, it was so nice to meet your mother if even for a short while," she announced walking to the table and taking a seat. Drew placed her tea cup by her place and pulled a chair out for Felicity to take, knowing he was expected to sit after the ladies had.

Giggling when he touched her, she side stepped him, but didn't get too far away from him. While she wanted to make sure she wasn't ready to throw everything to the wind and just kiss him, she didn't want to be too far from him either. Being in his proximity made her feel all tingly, and feeling that way was really nice. When he moved to take everything toward the table, the blonde trailed, following him with her platter of biscuits, knowing they weren't a breakfast food, but still wanting to present them to his Aunt rightly.
Smiling at the House Elf when he appeared, her eyes grew big at the plates all decorated with delicious looking foods. She loved fruit, and it was expensive to buy, but her mum made sure to always have some in their home. Though, she'd been less likely to buy kiwi since Felicity warned her of Drew's allergies.
"She's been looking forward to meeting you," Felicity told the older woman shyly at being addressed so quickly. And when Drew held the chair out for her, she smiled and lightly touched his arm to give a gentle squeeze before sitting down, wishing she could at least kiss his cheek and thank him for doing what he always did, making her feel special.

Felicity took her seat and after Drew pushed her chair in (under the look of approval from his aunt) he took his seat between the two ladies. Waiting patiently for his aunt to take the first bite, he dug into his food as soon as she did. Granted, he wanted to get to his present, still curious about what it was and why Felicity had gotten him one, but he was also hungry. It had been at least half an hour since he had had that donut after all.
"How lovely!" Aunt Abigail announced at the presentation of the biscuits. She took one and placed it on her plate, knowing the elves would bring cream and jam shortly. "It was quite thoughtful of you, dear. There's nothing like a good biscuit with tea. So tell me how you are finding Hogwarts. My sister Beatrice and I enjoyed our years there immensely. We were Gryffindors, you know, though we don't hold that against Andrew and his sister any."

Blushing while she thought about Drew, she could hardly tear her eyes away from him, loving to see him move and watch his manners shine in front of others. There was something so attractive to the young blonde about seeing his manners that made her almost crave to be closer to him, but she knew she had to resist. And she almost missed his Aunt's exclamation over the present she had brought the older woman. It was only nice to bring something and she had because she wanted to make a good impression, especially since this was his first family member she was being allowed to meet that wasn't in Hogwarts. It was like a test, if she didn't make it past his Aunt, then she wouldn't be allowed to meet his parents.
Smiling in response to the gracious praise of bringing something, she hoped they tasted well enough to for the woman.
"You were a Gryffindor?" Felicity asked excitedly, suddenly sliding to the edge of her seat, most manners forgotten. Drew hadn't ever told him his family had attended as Gryffindors. "That's my House."

Drew smirked slightly, pretty sure he had mentioned that to Felicity, but realizing he hadn't... unless she forgot. It didn't really matter, just that he thought he had told her.
"Oh, yes. I've heard," Aunt Abigail answered with a small smile, looking over at her grand-nephew. Drew was fairly certain Felicity knew he talked about her to his family, but still, his ears turned pink.
"Felicity's the seeker for the Lions," Drew bragged, though he might have mentioned that to his aunt as well. "Beat us and good on our last game."
