There weren't any names he knew that he liked a lot? Felicity had a number of names she was quite fond of, but there were only a few she wanted to name anyone after. However, if she and her husband happened to have a number of children, then she could use a lot of the names she liked and not just the ones she had a need to use. And really, she kind of wanted a big family, not as large as her family was, at least not until she was older, but at least three or four children, maybe a few more.
"Yeah?" she asked with glee. Naming others after someone was a respectful kind of thing, and she wanted to do just that. Add her respect to others by showing them she did respect them and cared quite deeply for them as well.
But when he threw in another Grandfather, Felicity felt a little at a loss. She was so used to only having the one set of Grandparents as she didn't know her father's parents that she hadn't given much thought to the fact Drew had more than one set. "Miguel?" she tried the name on her tongue. "I like that name, it's pretty." But what other name to use it with? Or how to fit it in somewhere and make it sound really nice. "What about David Miguel? And then we'll have a third boy and name him Mark Jacob? Or if you don't like Mark still, he could alter it? Like Marcus Jacob?" She wanted Mark somewhere else besides in Junior.

It wasn't that there weren't names he liked, it was just that he hadn't really thought much about it. He thought that it was a good thing she had some good ideas, even if they didn't plan on needing the names for a few years.
"I like that," he said, tightening his hold on her, thinking her suggestions were the perfect compromise. He still wasn't sure about a second Mark, feeling like he was getting two namesakes with the use of his middle name, but really feeling good about getting Papi's name in there.
"And what about someone named after you?" he asked, thinking that if he got two, she needed a couple also.

Feeling the slight squeeze, she giggled softly pulling Snowflake toward her, unwilling to let her go just yet. But she had a feeling it wouldn't last long when she was sure there were footsteps going down the back stairs which were sure to lead to the living area and bother her and Drew for a while. It wouldn't be too bad as only Freddy and Matthew were home, but it would still be a little bothersome.
"We don't have to worry about naming anyone after me," she answered, hoping it wouldn't come to that. While she didn't think she'd mind having a grandchild named after her, she didn't think she wanted a child. What would they call her? She was Felicity and Edith was too old fashioned in her opinion to name as a first name. Maybe as a middle name, but it wasn't necessary when she wanted Beatrice Abigail and their mother's names somehow arranged for a little girl. "We're not having girls, remember?"

"But I want to," Drew protested, his smile showing he was playing along with the tease. "Besides, if I remember how the whole chromosome deal works, I don't think you have much of a say in it." Celebrating his power in the situation, he danced a little in his seat, causing Snowflake to yip at him. Sure, it wasn't really anything worth gloating about, especially since he really had no say in it either, but it was still probably the only thing he had some sort of advantage, so he was going to flaunt it.
He heard the footsteps coming down and paused to see who it was. Thankfully, it wasn't the heavy steps of her dad, but it wasn't Mrs. Hjort's footfalls either. "Who else is here?" he asked quietly, scratching Snowflake between the ears to get her to settle down again.

Poking Drew in the stomach, Felicity rolled her eyes before wrapping her arms around him. "I may not have much say because of that, but you don't either, so we very well could have lots and lots of boys and no girls to speak of. Besides, that way they could all carry on the Thornton name. Felicity doesn't make a very nice middle name, and Edith is so old fashioned. We could choose from thousands of other names."
It was a plea to not name a child after her, of course if she happened to pass out and he got his word in the nurses would write down what came out of his mouth. Though, she knew Drew would make a good choice anyway. "And our first little girl is Beatrice Abigail anyway, and our second is after our mums, so we'd have to make it to three girls, and I already want at least two boys, so you better want a big family." The blonde all ready wanted a large one as was.
"Freddy didn't want to go with everyone and Matthew was grounded for the whole summer because of something he did this past semester." She wasn't sure which one came down the stairs but it sounded more like Matthew as he moved down the hallway.

Drew wrinkled his nose slightly. He wasn't opposed to big families, but didn't particularly like the name Beatrice. It sounded just as old fashioned as Edith did. And while he was agreeable to naming a girl after her mother, he didn't like his own mom's name much. But she was right. They had a thousand names to chose from and tons of time to figure it out, copnsidering he wasn't even planning to propose for a while yet. "Big family, yes, but maybe we just number them One through Ten," he teased, thinking that Ten Thornton actually had a cool ring to it.
She answered his question and he turned towards the footsteps to see if the owner would show his face. Drew didn't ask what Matthew had done to earn such a huge grounding, figuring that if it hadn't come up during ths summer, it wasn't his business. He was surprised though, that Freddy hadn't gone with the others. The small boy had to have known "the giant" was coming over and while Drew had spent a lot of time at the Hjort's house, the boy still seemed to be cautious around him. "Freddy stuck around?" he asked, hoping to have another chance to hang out with the little guy.

Giggling, Felicity couldn't really imagine naming her children after numbers. Sure, plenty of people named their children odd names, but she preferred real names, thinking fruit or countries or numbers were too odd. With the pretty names there all ready were, what was wrong with choosing any of those? "I think I like Andrew II, Beatrice, David Miguel, and at least one more girl, and hopefully another boy like you. But I'm pretty sure we can agree on names before it comes down to numbers." Sticking her tongue out at him, she snuggled deep into his arm, holding Snowflake up to her chest despite the little girl's protests.
"Mmhmm," she answered. "He's been acting a little strange lately, mum wonders if it's because he learned about her cancer or if it's something else. But he hasn't asked to invite any of his friends over lately nor has he really done anything he normally likes to do. He's just taken to staying around the house and playing by himself. Which he used to do quite a bit, but I guess all year long he's asked his friends to come over and it just stopped suddenly."
But before she could get much further, a face popped around the corner with a look of slight interest. "Lissy? Are you going to finish what you started in the kitchen and eat it? Or can I finish it and have a bite?" Matthew's look of hopefulness sent Felicity letting Snowflake go and standing up.
"I completely forgot about that, but no, you don't need to finish it. I can throw a plate together for you too." Grabbing Drew's hand, she pulled on him to go to the kitchen with her so she could finish up their dinners, and start a plate for Matthew too.
"All right, I was just wondering. I can find something else too if you want." But the younger boy had all ready settled on the floor to play with the puppy before he'd even finished his words.
"No, it's all right, I'll just make you a plate."

"Hey Matthew," Drew greeted the other boy with a smile, once the younger boy made himself known. There wasn't time for much else since Felicity pulled him towards the kitchen and Matthew was left to play with the puppy. Drew didn't mind too much even though he would have liked to continue cuddling on the sofa. Making a plate for Matthew probably meant that Drew would get to eat soon too.
"What are we having?" he asked, following behind the pretty blonde. They had all night and while he reminded himself that she couldn't stay all night with him on the couch, he knew there'd be plenty of time for sitting close together after they ate.

Matthew distractedly raised his hand in greeting to Drew, more interested in the puppy being back than he was in his Aunt's boyfriend being over. Sure, he liked the guy, but he could tell they were having one of those lovey-dovey moments where they were all googily eyed at one another and preferred putting his attention on the furball than following them to the kitchen and watching Felicity make his dinner for him. Grandmum Meadow had said find your own dinner, but he liked when Lissy cooked too, she wasn't too bad at it.
"I'm making chicken parmesan for us, and I have some left over baked ziti I thought would be all right for a side dish, and I'm pretty sure there enough to make a small salad out of too if you'd like. I'll have to think a minute for Matthew, I can make him chicken too, but there's not enough ziti left for him as well, but I think I can figure something out that he'll like." Reaching the kitchen, she quickly resumed her position at the cutting board where she was slicing bits of cheese for their chicken, letting Drew decide whether to make a salad or not. He knew where most everything was so she wasn't too worried about having to direct his every movement.

Drew danced a little at the description of the meal she was planning. She had mentioned a salad and he figured he could throw that together pretty easily. He grabbed a bowl out of the cupboard, having been in Mrs. Hjort's kitchen enough to know where everything was and feeling comfortable enough to just go get it. He then went over to the fridge and pulled the lettuce and a tomato out. There was a cucumber in the crisper as well and he thought he would be able to use that too. Taking it all to the sink, he started washing everything before pulling a knife and a cutting board out to slice it all up.
"If it's not enough... we could order a pizza or something," he suggested, knowing that Felicity had enough, but also figuring he'd be hungry later as well.

Giggling again when he danced, Felicity started to pour some sauce over their chicken, figuring she'd make her plate into Matthew's and then she'd fix up a plate in a moment for herself, allowing Drew and Matthew to eat first. It didn't take long to fix the chicken exactly how she wanted, scooping half the remains of the ziti onto one plate and placing both in the microwave to warm up. While Drew started on the salad she pulled another plate and started to layer her own chicken parmesan together before glancing up at Drew's suggestion.
"It'll only be you, me, mum, Matthew, and Freddy tonight. Everyone else is staying at Meridith's and dad and Harold won't be back until morning. But if you get hungry later we could do that," she answered with a small smile. Really, relaxing for a few hours with a large pizza, a movie, and him, she thought she could do that quite easily. Besides she could always eat more provided she wasn't upset over something. "Maybe we could dig out Princess Bride and watch that and eat pizza tonight before bed?"
A suggestion that included a little bit of snuggle time, and still some more food.

Drew had to laugh when she listed off all the people who were actually still in the house. He knew the Hjorts usually had a full table at dinner, but five still seemed like an awful lot to him.
"If?" he answered back, making a face at her, knowing she knew his eating patterns just as well as he did. There was no doubt that he'd be hungry later and the only question was really what would be eaten. Besides, on top of pizza, the suggestion of a movie was definitely something he could look forward to. Movies meant sitting close in the dark with his arms around her. He thought he could handle that.
"As you wish," he answered with a wide grin as he finished up the salad and brought it over to where she was setting up plates.

"When" she answered with a giggle and roll of her eyes. It wasn't a matter of if they were hungry later, it really was a matter of when they got hungry later. And they didn't have to stick to pizza either, there was a Thai place, Japanese, Cuban, actually, there were a number of places that delivered, but pizza sounded really good. They could stick with the theme of dinner, Italian (sort of). "We could get a pizza, or whatever, that would be nice."
Grinning at his reply, she could feel the blush creep over her cheeks. That always made her feel so giddy, when he quoted from the movie, especially when he quoted it to her their first Halloween, and they hadn't even been dating just yet. With the meaning behind it in the movie, it made her wonder just how he really felt back then.
Pulling the two plates from the microwave, she passed them to Drew to add salad and placed her plate in to warm up. When Freddy was hungry she'd find something for him, if he didn't just decide to go with peanut butter and jam.

"Maybe pizza and whatever," he suggested with a slight tease in his voice. The plates came out of the microwave and Drew's stomach gave a low rummble in anticipation. He spooned a couple of good helpings of salad onto each plate before leaning against the counter to wait for the last plate to come out. This also gave him the opportunity to just watch and admire her.
He knew exactly what he was saying, and always had, when he quoted those three words from their favorite movie. Even back then he knew it was the perfect way to say how he felt when that L-word was still kind of scary.

"If you need an and whatever after eating, I think there'd be something wrong with my cooking," she answered, sticking her tongue out at him. "Because I know I have enough to fill at least a quarter of your stomach, pizza should cover most the rest, and still leave room for dessert." Of course, there were always goodies in the household and she had a few things stored for them to nibble on later.
Turning her back to him, Felicity pulled the last plate from the microwave and danced a little at the heat she hadn't been expecting from the plate itself. Nothing too bad, she didn't think she'd dried the chicken out, but it was still a bit warm.
"Do you think he'd be happy with some sliced apples and a bit of salad since there isn't enough ziti to give to him?" she wondered aloud. Even if not, he could cook for himself, had been doing so for a few years even though he was still awfully young.
