"Right..." Drew answered absentmindedly, still looking over the heads of the students filtering through the barrier. The firsties seemed to get shorter every year... Dang, he hoped Alhana wouldn't be late again this year.
"Keep your eyes open for Ari, will you? We missed her at the Leaky Cauldron this morning," he said, though he knew he had a better vantage point than she did.

Great, Lily thought, rolling her eyes. He doesn't believe me. "Listen Vito," she said. "I'm being serious. I can't watch for Ari because I don't know who that is. I can give you proof if you want me to. Ask me something that I would only know if I hadn't forgotten it. Or just find out what my year is." She looked at him with a look that seemed to ask 'Do you believe me now?'

"Cut it out Lily. It's getting old," Drew told her as he craned his neck to search out the familiar faces. It was easy enough to pretend you forgot stuff. Proving you knew stuff you shouldn't know... now THAT was hard.

"No puede ser que cada vez que venimos a dejarte en el tren o cualquier otro modo para llegar a estas escualas, llegamos tan tarde," mumbled a tall slim woman with long brown hair and a medium complexion. A younger female walked slightly in front of her. Other than being just a few inches shorter and having green eyes, she was almost a carbon copy of the woman. Layla gripped the strap of her backpack hanging off her shoulder so hard that she felt her finger nails digging into her palm. She looked ahead, walking quickly, but not too fast to illicit a reaction from her mother, and searched for the platform.
Her mother was right. Every year, no matter which school or what mode of transportation, they were late. It was not different this year. "We're not that late," she protested quietly, not able to stop herself from talking back. "The wall's right here." She stared at the wall, longing to be on the other side.
"Te estoy hablando en espaƱol, mija*," her mother insisted. "Perdone usted*," Layla mumbled and took control of her cart from her father who had been silent all along. "Bueno ya me voy. Yo les escribo en cuanto llegamos.*"
She tiptoed to give her father a peck on the cheek and bent the opposite way for her brother and sister. Arcelia turned her cheek without returning the formality, while her brother took her into a hug and slipping something into her backpack. Layla sidestepped to confront her mother, and she looked up to her face. Isabel looked down at her older daughter, and her stern expression softened just a little. Layla caught a glimpse of what she hadn't seen in her mother's face in a while. She wasn't wuite sure what it was, but was comforted by it. She hugged her mother, something she hadn't done in a while and said her goodbyes. After checking around to make sure no one was looking in her direction, she applied all her weight to the cart and pushed it into Platform Nine and Three Quarters. By the time she was on the other side, she had already wiped the one tear that had escaped her.
She scanned the chaos that was beginning as students crammed their things itno the train and found their friends and nodded politely at the man who offered to put her things away. Looking for a 5th year or another Ravenclaw (whichever came first), she walked towards the other end of the bright red train, looking for anyone.

Drew spotted one of his classmates coming through the entranceway and grinned. "HEY LAYLA!" he shouted out, making his way over to her before he remembered Lily and turned back to the older girl. "Hey, I'll see you later, okay?" He knew he was going to sit with Alhana after the prefect meeting and doubted Lily would want to join them.

Layla smiled as she had found both. Forgetting the rest of her summer and her departure from the muggle world, she made her way towards Drew. "Hey!" She saw him turn to talk to someone, and saw that it was Lily. She waved excitedly to the older Raven before she turned back to Drew. An older wizard bumped into her and continued walking as if nothing phased him. Layla frowned and rubbed her shoulder where they had collided. Her bag had been knocked off it, but she'd caught it in her hand.

Lily shrugged. If Drew didn't believe her maybe this Layla character would. So, when the black-haired girl had waved to her, she followed Drew over to her. "Hey," she answered with a small smile. "I'm Lily. And you're Layla and he's Vito and that other girl he was with earlier was Allegra." She was trying to figure it all out and was thinking outloud. She was shoving aside the fact that Vito didn't believe her, because sooner or later he would have to.

Layla blinked. "Ok...," she said slowly, unsure of how to respond. "Lily, I didn't know you liked Mafia movies," she told her with a grin. "Yes, Drew is quite popular but I don't think he's into organized crime. Chaos, perhaps."

"I don't like Mafia movies," Lily said, scratching her head in a bit of confusion. "He told me that his name was Vito. So now you're telling me it's not Vito and it's Drew?" Lily blinked. She was going to have to explain this to this Layla girl eventually. Lily was scared that she wouldn't believe her either. What if no one believed her? If they didn't believe her that meant they would shun her and she didn't want that.

Anna strolled into King's Cross station pushing her trolly and her cat resting peacefully on her shoulder. She didn't feel like putting her in her cage, maybe later when the train pulled into Honeydukes station to let everyone off. Everywhere Anna looked, all she could see were muggles everywhere. ''It still amazes me that muggles never see us vanish into thin air." she thought to herself. Placing herself directly infront of the barrier between platforms 9 and 10 and speeding straight through.
"Alright dear. Now you remembered to pack your clothes, socks and-" said her mother. "Mum, I'm sure Dani remembered to pack everything." her brother interupted. "It's just her brain she always forgets to pack."
"Ha ha, very funny Paul." Anna said sarcastically. "My brain has always been inside my head thank you very much!" That was always like him, always making fun of her. At least you couldn't say it was boring everytime he came to visit from France. "Shouldn't you be in France right now doing whatever it is you do?"
"Aw, now don't be like that." he frowned. Can't an older brother just come to say good bye to his only sister when she goes off to school?" he asked.
"No." Anna laughed. The real reason he came was to taunt her until the train left. "Well, I better get on before all the compartments fill up. Saying good bye to the both of them, she got onto the train and kept walking to find an empty compartment, or one with people she knew.

"I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse," Drew told Layla, putting on his best (which wasn't very good) Brando impersonation. "You find us a good compartment and I'll get Charlie and Hiro down there after we're done listen to my sister yaking. Capisce?"

Layla tried to look serious as Drew approached her with such an interesting 'offer', but only ended up laughing. "Fine, fine," she said whenever she got a breath in. "I have to go do that now or we'll be stuck with the crazies," she told him and snuggled her backpack. She left Drew and made her way to the nearest entrance on the train and yelled over. "Hey Lily! Tell me about yor summer later, ok!?" She then dipped her head in and disappeared among the students already in the train.

"Keep an eye out for Alhana, will you?" Drew shouted back at Layla. He'd still keep watch himself, but it was easy to miss people in the crowd.
He turned and saw Lily was still shadowing him.
"You want help getting your trunk on the train?" he asked, thinking he'd find her a good compartment and make a point not to spend ALL of his time with Alhana and the others.

Sarsha stepped through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10 with her parents right behind her. "They could at least try and clean that well up a bit" her father grumbled behind her "It it wasn't missing I wouldn't touch it" His suit gleamed a brilliant black, his wife standing next to him in a long length red dress, one that most would expect to see only at formal functions. Sarsha looked around her eyes gleaming at the magnificence of the place. It was huge, much more than she would have expected theses wizard folk to create, though she should have guessed after she had entered that giant bank in that strange alley. Dingalong? No that wasn't it. She like her parents was dressed quite elaborately considering what they were doing. Her's wasn't as formal but still. Her long blue skirt stretched down to her knees and her fancy looking denim jacket was open on top of her pink t-shirt. "Oh father, can you just not complain for once?" she asked her father, her small voice barely being able to be heard above the roa of the croud. A tall man in black followed through the entrance onto the platform after them. "Your bags miss" he said to Sarsha pushing two trunks full of stuff on a trolley. "Oh just put them on the train somewhere would you?" Sarsha said motioning to the train. The man promptly made his way to the train with the luggage, going and finding a compartment to put it in. "Are you sure about this Sarsha Nicollete?" Sarsha's mother said looking down at her little girl. She wasn't too sure about sending her little girl off to some crazy school of.. magic.. which didn't seem to make any sence at all. She had had Sarsha enrolled in a very expensive school right from when she was a baby, but it had been Sarsha's decision to come to this one. "Of course I am mother, do not worry. I'll write you a letter every week. And I'll study hard. And if theres any form of funny buiseness you'll be the first to know" Sarsha said looking to her dad who, much like his wife, was looking wary about this situation. They were both muggle born and so the world of magic was new to all three of them. Sarsha smiled to her parents. "I wanna go say meet some new friends" she said to them. She went and gave her mother and father hugs. Then curtsied. "I'll see you in the holidays" she said to hem. Turning around and heading to go. But she accidentely in her excitement she ran into a girl hwo seemed much older than herself (Ari). "Oh I'm awefully sorry!" she said taking a step backwards, her posh english accent showing in her voice. "Are you ok?" She young girl looked up at the bigger girl. This was not how she ahd wanted to start her new year at a new school. Straightening up after giving her brother and sister goodbye kisses, Arianna turned to hug her mum, but found herself shoved forward. She put a foot out to keep from falling, but accidentally kicked the carriage, waking both babes, both of which let out ear-piercing cries. Soon both were lifted from the cart by either parent attempting to hush them while Arianna was left to contend with whoever had started the commotion. " I'm fine.... It's okay....I think," Arianna started to speak to the girl in Qui, then stopped and continued in English. Her uncovered eye traveled over to her mum and dad, who assured her they would be fine, then back to the younger girl. "It's a bit difficult to get around here with so many people, isn't it?"

It was going to be a great, huge entrance. One to turn heads and widen eyes. Well... not really. In fact, it turned out to be that way by accident. Charlie had planned a normal stroll through the wall with her cart full of stuff such as her trunk, a broom, and the owl cage with her now matured owl, Hazard.
However, things changed when she felt a jab at her collar and saw her cart disappear behind the wall but not herself. "Whaa--?!?" Charlie turned around to see Uncle Ernie. Again. She sighed. Where did these strange European great uncles come from?
"Charlene! Don't forget to greet Dumbloedore for me," Ernie said and as quickly as he came back, he was gone. "That dude's behind the times," Charlie commented to herself.
She jumped through the wall quickly, though, for fear of her things getting stolen. But what she saw was her careful, tall pile gone to heck as all her things minus her heavy trunk strewn across the floor. She was already seeing a few eyes on her. She shrugged at nobody in particular and bent down to pick them back up, occaisionally cursing to herself and telling the spooked owl to shut it up. Actually, she squatted. Over the summer, she had somehow grown taller. She couldn't rival a certain freakishly tall Ravenclaw, but her height change was certainly noticeable. And despite the haircut taken a few days before the ending of school, her hair grew. But other than that, she was still recognizable and still Charlie. Just with a few changes here and there.
