"So are you," Drew answered, smirking back at her. He was getting anxious to give her the little box that was nestled in his pocket, and was tempted to just take her outside right then and there to give it to her. He couldn't give her any hints, but he wasn't sure he could keep it from her for much longer.
"Do you want to go take a walk?" he asked softly, leaning down to whisper into her ear. He could find a quiet place just outside the hall and hopefully spend a little alone time with her.

Wrinkling her nose at him when he said she was making things difficult as well, she wondered again what his gift for her could be. It was Valentine's day and he'd given her something awfully nice last year, something her dad had built upon buying her matching earrings and a bracelet, but if she wasn't supposed to get him something for Valentine's Day as he'd told her boys weren't supposed to get them, she didn't think he would've gotten her anything like that necklace again.
Relaxing against him, she let her hands find the ends of his curls, still loving how they were growing in lately. She liked his hair longer than when she'd first met him, while both styles looked really nice on him, she enjoyed the look and feel of the curls a lot more.
Closing her eyes, she opened them again quickly when she felt his breath on her ear, his words, and she nodded in answer. A walk sounded really nice, even if she loved dancing with him. She wanted to spend a little time alone with him too, it was Valentine's Day after all.

Her hands in his hair always made him melt and he hummed a happy sigh as she played with the curls he had let grow. It hadn't been too long ago that he had religiously chopped the danged locks off, but over the last year and a half, it didn't seem so urgent. His mother and grandmother both hated it, but they weren't around to complain.
She agreed to the walk and he grinned back, kissing her lightly before taking her hand and leading her off of the dance floor. He noticed a few people he knew and nodded a brief hello, but didn't bother to stop. His aim was to get to the door that would lead outside.

Kissing him back when his lips touched hers, she would've followed him to the ends of the earth without question when he did that. Drew took her hand, leading her from the dance floor, and she knew that he could lead her to a cliff and she'd blindly follow, no matter what. But knowing he wouldn't lead her to something of the sort made her feel a tiny bit safer, not that she didn't feel safe with him on a daily basis.
Smiling at some people she also knew, the blonde followed closely, thinking of just wrapping her arms around Drew and walking behind him like that, but didn't. She figured wherever they went she'd be able to get her arms around him then, for a good length of time.

Sipping her own drink, she thought hard on his question. She couldn't see past the table cloth right now, but before she had joined hidden party she saw that mostly everyone was already enjoying themselves. "Well I don't know, I think everyone is almost paired up," she told him. "Do you know anyone else that is supposed to come?" She appreciated his idea and thought a select few would really make their evening go well. She was glad she'd come, and that she'd found Jeremy. Layla put her cup down and leaned slightly to pull up the table cloth just a little to take a peek out. "Who else is out there?" Jeremy shook his head and took another cookie. He hadn't even asked Hannah and Brenton if they were coming and the red-headed girl didn't talk to him, so he wasn't sure if she was planning on it either. With the cookie in his mouth, he stuck his head out from under the table cloth to see if there was anyone else he knew. He saw a few more familiar faces, but they were still attached to other people. Anyone who seemed to be on their own were strangers to him. He did see Tianne off to the side and wondered if she wanted to join their private party. She was nice, so Jeremy had no problem inviting her. Jeremy stuck his head back under the table to check and see what Layla thought about it. "Tianne's out there by herself," he said, nervous about calling the other girl over himself. "We could ask her if she wants to come in if you want."

Jason laughed laughed a little, He wasn't sure if he should ask her again or not. He was a little nervous and his face turned a little red. Jason looked out to the crowded floor. aww man, Jason he thought to himself Jason took a deep breath. He turned back to Vanessa. he was nervous about asking her again. Suck it up Williams he told himself in his head "I...I asked if you wanted to dance" He Asked again with a slightly shaky voice. He looked back out to the dance floor to hide his slowly redding face Well, the face wasn't something you could hide easily... especially, as the Ravenclaw boy gave a nervous sort of laugh. For a few moments though, he said nothing, almost thinking about what to do next. Vanessa squirmed in her standing position and also looked away. He wanted to do what? Could she? She really didn't know how, and with the floor the way it was... Vanessa just wasn't too sure. I... I asked if you wanted to dance.Confirmation and Vanessa turned back to Jason as he turned away from her. Now it was her time to heat up in the face just a bit as she shrugged and nodded her head. "Umm... I guess... I mean," she paused and exhaled a breath. What was just one dance? "...sure, I'll dance with you if that's what you're asking." Of course he was asking that, but Vanessa just had to make sure... "Lead the way?" she said more as a question than an actual statement.

Jason Nodded at Drew when he passed by and gave a slight grin when he saw that him and Felicity were heading out side.
"...sure, I'll dance with you if that's what you're asking."
Jason's face grew more red, Jason him self could not believe he worked up th courage to ask Vanessa to dance. . He smiled and looked down get it together Jason, don't be so nervous he thought to himself. Jason couldn't figure why he felt so nervios about asking a girl to dance. He looked back up and turned to Vanessa "Really" he said almost surprised. Jason smiled see that wasent so bad he thought to him self.
"Lead the way?" smiled. "Yeah" he said softly reaching out his hand for hers, to lead her to the floor.

Drew made quick work towards the door and, holding it open for Felicity, slipped outside after her. He led her to a secluded spot just outside where they could hear the chatter and the music inside, but still have a bit of privacy.
He gave her one soft kiss, lingering a moment, but not making it last too long before pulling back and smiling down at her and feeling awfully nervous. "I want to give you your present, but I feel like I have to tell you about it first," he told her, not sure if she wanted to hear all he felt he needed to say. His biggest fear was that she'd get mad like she had the previous year and he really didn't want that.

Continuing to follow Drew, the sixth year walked out the door, waited for him and slipped her hand into his when he followed her. Feeling excited and giddy, she really wanted to know what was so special about his gift to her that he had to take her away from everyone else to give it to her. Though, when he tenderly pressed his lips against hers, she sank right against him, not wanting it to end, but knowing it had to, the realism hitting her when he pulled away.
Raising an eyebrow at the blue-eyed Ravenclaw, she wondered why he felt the need to explain what he got her. A gift was a gift, wasn't it?
"All right..." she trailed off, curious as ever now. Leaning into him, she pressed her cheek up against his chest so she could hear and feel him breathe while he spoke, and told her whatever it was he needed to. Arms securely wrapped around his middle, she waited.

She kissed him back and some of his nerve returned. He wasn't sure why he felt the need to tell her about what he had done two years ago, but he thought she had a right to know. He didn't think he could honestly give her the little box, nor did he think she could honestly accept it, unless he told her.
Slowly, he pulled the blue box from his pocket and held it out to her, letting her take it when she was ready, allowing her to mull over what he had to say. Her arms were around him and he hoped they stayed there. If they left, that meant he had upset her.
"You know I dated another girl..." he started slowly, avoiding her eyes. He always told her about Alhana when she asked, but he didn't like talking about that part of his past. He didn't think the other girl had anything to do with what he had with Felicity and so there really wasn't a need... until now. He still wasn't sure why he thought he had to tell Felicity about it now, especially on this particular day, but he felt like he did. "We were pretty serious... and I made her a promise I couldn't keep. There came a time that neither of us wanted me to keep it and she let me off of it."
He paused and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly before continuing. It bothered him more than anything that he had made a promise he hadn't kept, but the important thing was he wasn't bound by it anymore. All he hoped was the girl in front of him didn't get mad for making a stupid promise to someone else.
"Right now, I want to make you a promise... but I don't ever want there to be a time where I'll need to take it back... because then it's not a real promise."
Inside the small box was a silver band, engraved with a string of knotted hearts on the outside and five small figures on the inside: AT ♥ FH. He had done his best to gague the right size solely based on how her fingers felt when he held her hand and he hoped he had guessed right.
Well, first he hoped she'd accept it...
"My promise is... if you want it... for as long as you want it... that my heart belongs to you and only you," he told her, looking at her and biting his lip a little. "I'm yours... and if you accept... then it means you'll be mine."

He watcher her take the punch, leaving him a glass of water to work with. Which was fine with Dante, he was content to drink a glass of water. Especially if it was cold, with his mind racing about what could be talked about, a cold glass of water was welcome. And so he grabbed the cup and drank most of it in the first few sips. That were more a gulp than a sip. He set the cup down quickly, fearing that he would finish the drink in no time, and have to get up again and get another drink. Which would not be the best move on his part.
“It has been a lot of fun hanging out. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one having so much fun.” He let out a chuckle, just a little one for sure. She seemed, uneasy or at least uncomfortable. And it made Dante wonder what she was so worried about. Was it about the kiss she had given him earlier? Was his reaction to it wrong? Perhaps in the way he did not really react to it very much. A mistake Dante, he said to himself. He watched her put the glass down and leave her hand on the table. A sign for him? He couldn't be sure, and without full knowledge of what she intended, he was not going to test any of the water.
Though the suspense and silence was killing him, he could think of nothing new to say. He let out the smallest sigh as he thought of something, anything. “Maybe we should hang out more often,” he found it rather hard to think of words, “maybe meet up for a day. Don't know what we could do, head over to the great lake, or even just play some checkers.” He shrugged, it was the best he could think of at this point. And then it hit him, did he just do what he thought he might have done? Either way, he'd have to see what Tal thought of it all. And so he picked up his cup and took another drink to relax.

" People watching? " Connor questioned, sort of knowing what she meant but not really. " And what would people watching include besides the obvious act of watching people? " He asked the Gryffindor lass with a slight grin as he helped himself to another drink from his cup of punch. He turned his head slightly and spotted a somewhat familiar Slytherin girl, Tallulah he thought her name was, sitting opposite Dante at a table. Without even realizing it, Connor had been ' people watching. ' He sent a small smile back at Sophia as he caught her gaze once again.
There were people everywhere, some standing around talking, some sitting at the little tables that had been set up, and some of the more brave ones were dancing. Connor wondered if he should ask Sophia to dance. They were friends afterall, were they not? He didn't know if just friends danced at dances with one another, but decided to maybe ask about it later.
He snickered in a rather good natured way at the suggestion of causing some trouble. Being a Slytherin and all, Connor supposed it was part of the house characteristics to be able to think of tricks and jokes to play on people, but when it came to that sort of thing he usually drew a blank. " I can never think of things to do, tricks and jokes and such. " He told her honestly with a laugh.

" People watching? And what would people watching include besides the obvious act of watching people? "
"Well, it's sort of fun. You just watch different people's mannerisms and they're actions. Actions do speak louder than words. Take those two." She motioned to a pair, fellow Sixth Years, a Hufflepuff girl and a Ravenclaw boy. "You can tell that they're absolutely rigid with fear. They obviously like each other, but neither of them wants to do anything drastic." She said with a smile. "It's awfully sweet." She looked back at Connor who was smiling back. It was almost irresistible to people-watch, whether people meant to or not.
" I can never think of things to do, tricks and jokes and such. "
Sophia laughed softly. "Oh, okay Slytherin boy." She said playfully. "I'm sure you've at least thought of some prank once in your life." She knew deep down that Connor wouldn't be the kind to cause a ruckus within the school; she rather pictured him laughing along with a joke instead of being the source, but it was funny to think of nonetheless.

Seeing the tiny blue box in his hand, she didn’t take it right away. Instead, it was more important to have her arms around him right then than it was to hold a superficial blue box. If he felt the need to explain a little jewelry box, she’d let him talk, the sound of his voice just washing over her was enough to make her know whatever the box contained it was going to be just fine. Closing her eyes, she listened to his breathing, and listened to his words.
Her first reaction was to tense up. Why was he talking about his first girlfriend? And on Valentine’s Day of all days? Yes, she knew he’d had another girlfriend and had assumed things were serious being as they’d dated for almost five years (or was it more than five?). What mattered was that he was with her now. And even though they’d been serious, they hadn’t been that serious. But when he went on about a promise he’d made her, Felicity wondered what it was. And though her back was tense, she pulled back just enough to look up at him with concern in her eyes, but left her arms still tightly wrapped around him.
Why would they not want him to keep a promise he’d made? What good was a promise if it wasn’t kept? Tilting her head off to the side, she wondered why he was telling her what he was and what it had to do with the gift he’d gotten her.
The slight pause only gave her mind more time to think everything through, what was he on about? But when he started back up, she was still a little confused. Except for the fact he wanted to promise her something and that he wanted that promise to stick, wanted that promise to be kept. Nodding that she understood what he meant about making a promise he intended to keep, she wondered what exactly it was he was promising her.
Keeping her eyes trained on his face, gazing into his eyes, she waited. While her stomach was really hyper, everything in her body being set off just by the tone of his voice, the look on his face, everything, she just didn’t quite understand what he was promising her.
When he continued, she tried to be patient about waiting, but was wondering if she should’ve taken the box and opened it instead of going right in to hold him. Would it make more sense if that was what she’d done instead of just waiting for him to explain it all first? The thing was, she knew he was hers. He’d given her his heart a number of times, and she knew it was hers as long as she wanted it to be. And she was sure he knew that her heart only belonged to him, and no one else. Nor did she want to give it to someone else.
“I already am yours Drew,” she answered him softly. Of course she accepted his promise to her, unaware of what the little box held. “I don’t’ ever want to be someone else’s. I like being yours, I love everything about you, how you’re perfect.” And he was in her opinion. “Yes, I’d like that, if you’re willing to let me keep it.”

Connor turned, following her motioning and spotting who it was she was talking to. Jason and Vanessa, two fellow sixth years. He was friendly with both of them, and he nodded his head along slightly as she explained her interpretation of how things were for the two of them. " Awfully sweet? " He snickered slightly, shaking his head a bit as he let out a light chuckle. People watching was actually kind of fun. " I bet he's thinking about how he doesn't want to mess up. " Connor knew that from experience, when it came to things like dancing, you prayed, hoped and wished that you wouldn't mess up and make things awkward. " But scared, yes, I can agree with that. " He nodded his head because they did look scared.
Her light, joking tone brought out a small grin from the Slytherin boy and he shrugged his shoulders, a slightly coy smile working its way onto his face.
Finally deciding to say something, he mentioned, " Well... at my old school, we put this semi-permanent gunk on all of the desks in the History classroom... 'cause we didn't like the Professor. " He grinned sheepishly, a little proud and a little amused as well.
" And what about you, innocent Gryffindor girl. You ever played a trick on anyone? " He questioned back, still smiling. He had been surprised to find that he was really having a good time just hanging out with Sophia. Even if he didn't end up doing what he expected to tonight, he knew he was having fun and that it counted for something.
