Celina held her tea in her hands and listened to Connor intently but looking into the reflection of herself in the liquid. Four or five days? Did owls really get lost? Celina thought to herself. She looked up, trying not to look disappointed. “A party? How wonderful. That’s great,” but with ever word she spoke Celina just tended to get more and more discouraged. She shrugged, and her smile faded a bit. “I’m sure mine’s…” Celina hesitated. Owls never got lost from what she knew of them. “…lost in the mail or something,” her words were but a whisper now as she looked back into her tea and blew gently. “I’m sure….” She said mostly to herself, and barely audible at that. Celina decided that it was better not to mention any more about it. Her father would pick up sooner rather than later, and though she hated to think of what he’d say to her, she could already hear the disappointment dripping off of every word she spoke. …she couldn’t wait to go to her brother’s. Taking a sip of her tea, a slight moan of satisfaction came from the back of the Raven’s throat involuntary. Even though it was hot, as was the day, she still loved the lemon tingle on her tongue and washing through the interior of her mouth. It was delicious. “You were right,” Celina said, taking her mind off of the Prefect position and looking up to smile again genuinely at Connor. “They really do have great tea here.” She giggled. One bridge had to be crossed at a time… …even if it collapsed before she ever got to it. ( No worries. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I’m pretty flexible. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )

( second page. w00t. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ) ' A party? How wonderful. That’s great. ' Indeed it was great, but Celina's tone of voice seemed to contradict the words she was saying. Connor smiled sympathetically to the girl, although he knew if it was him he wouldn't want sympathy. Of course Celina's owl was lost in the mail, why wouldn't it be? If anyone deserved to get prefectship, surely it would be Celina Jedynak. Right? Connor had to lean in slightly just to be able to hear her as she went on about how her owl had surely just gotten lost in the mail. Was that common? Connor wasn't positive, but he was pretty sure he had heard of owls getting lost on the occassion. Celina seemed to be trying to convince herself so he said, " Oh, yeah. I've heard about owls getting lost on their way to places loads of times. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. " He finished with a warm smile. He faltered a little, unsure of what to say next so he decided to take another drink of his tea. If there was any food or beverage item that Connor had a weakness for, it was a good cup of tea. Coffee was okay on an occassion, but he would take tea over it anyday and often did. " See? I told you. I don't lie. " He said with an assertive nod and a laugh. And really, he didn't. He could believe what he wanted to believe, like how he hoped that Celina's owl from Hogwart's concerning being a prefect was just lost. It might not have been very likely, but it was clear to Connor that it had been and probably still was very important to her. " So what are your plans for the rest of the summer? " He asked her curiously.

(LoL, yay~ ;D )
It was nice of Connor to reassure her, and Celina took note of it and nodded her head again. “Yes, I’m sure.” However, just as Connor took another sip of his tea, Celina put hers down and looked away still thinking of everything and the last year. All she had done was get herself into trouble time and time again. Her mother had said to make friends, and so she did. She did as she was told, and look at where it had gotten her. Celina tried not to feel a bit bitter, for she had no right to in her own opinion. It was her decision to follow through with her mother’s orders…that, and she could have tried to make better friends.
Unfortunately, at that though, Celina felt horrible. Her friends were the greatest people she knew. And though she was time and time again fighting or getting into trouble because of the acts all of them committed, they were still good people. Again, she tried to convince herself of it.
So, what are your plans for the rest of the summer?
His words brought Celina out from the rut she was putting herself in, and she smiled again. This time her smile was filled with eagerness, as well as did her eyes dance with the same emotion. “Well, in a week or so I’m going to go to where my brother lives. He has an apartment in the Wendelring complex…actually, right next to Drew Thornton’s sister…if you know her? But…I don’t know if you would,” Celina filtered her hand through her dark hair to think. She knew Allegra, but that was for many reasons. The most being that she was in her house and a quidditch captain. If anything Celina would never forget her because of those things. The team was fantastic back then….not that it wasn’t…oh, whatever.
“But yea…” Celina’s eyes drifted back up to where Connor sat and she laughed slightly as she shook her head. “But I’m not to sure what I’m going to be doing after that. Alfonz’s place is pretty…” she didn’t want to say boring. “…uneventful at times. But Emerald will be with me, so I’m sure it will be ok. How about you? What are you doing for the rest of break?” Celina asked him quickly, as if more excited to be hearing about him and his break rather than even living her own.

Connor was glad that Celina seemed to be perking up when he brought up her plans for the rest of the summer. She seemed really excited, so he figured she must be doing summer fun. He felt a light grin grow on his face at her excitement that she got to go to her brother's place. " I don't really know her, but I've heard about her, " He added in after she asked whether or not he knew Allegra Thornton. Connor hadn't ever met the lass, but he had heard of her before around the school. From what he had gathered, she was a Ravenclaw, honor student, head girl ( or some sort of title ), and had graduated several years ago. Or something, he wasn't really sure.
' Alfonz’s place is pretty… uneventful at times. ' Connor smiled slightly, he knew how that went. It was the same when he visited his sister, he loved spending time with her, but at the same time it could be kind of boring as well.
" So you're pretty close with your brother, yeah? " He asked curiously. Connor figured that if she was so enthusiastic to visit him that she must get along with him quite well. It was just then that he remembered that Celina's brother had taken up a job at Hogwart's school. " What's it like going to school where your brother works? Is it wierd? " He asked these questions in a curious manner, just wondering out loud.
Connor spun his tea cup slowly in his hands as he listened to Celina talk. He looked up to her as he answered, " Oh, I'm not really sure what I'll be doing. Have you heard about the Stonehenge Music Festival? I was thinking about going to that. " He said with a slight nod, wondering if Celina would be going.

Celina laughed as Connor brought up the fact that Alfonz worked at the school. “I was there first…it’s more weird for him I’d say. Especially, since he went to Durmstrang himself.” It was true. Alfonz really had never even liked Hogwarts, and then he had tried to get her to transfer out many times to go to Durmstrang. He had said there were more opportunities for purebloods there than there were at Hogwarts. Celina disagreed and had never wanted to go, but Alfonz rarely listened. She figured that the only reason why she was still at Hogwarts was because he really didn’t have the connections he said that he had there to pull the strings to get her in.
So, when he had gotten the job at Hogwarts, it not only surprised her but excited her as well. Celina knew why he was there for real, but she thought nothing of it more than he had wanted to be more near to her to protect her. “Oh yes, we’re very close. You wouldn’t think it if you didn’t know us though…” Celina said, which most would probably disagree with. “We’re six years apart age wise.” She nodded, taking a break and a sip of the cooling lemon tea.
“Music Festival?” Celina asked, thinking she must have missed the memo. “I’m not sure if I’m going. If I’m with Alfonz, it will probably take some talking into. He really hates social…gatherings?” Celina asked wondering if that was the right word. Her brother was a quidditch player whom hated the spotlight. Talk about oxymoronic. Then again, every time he went places things happened, so Celina slightly agreed that it wasn’t probably the best of all situations. She sighed.
“But if I’m with my parents…” she shook her head. Then it was a definite no. Unless her mother snuck her out, like she had that day, but her father would never agree. Especially, if he found out about the Prefectship….yea, her summer was really starting to not be as pleasant as she wished it was. “But what’s going on there? Do you know?” Celina asked Connor. Maybe she’d sneak out herself. She’d done that before from her house.
Maybe she’d just go herself…and then call Alfonz to get her, because that’d be safer in the end than going back home. Celina’s Raven mind started ticking…there was ways around everything…she just had to be cleverer about them then she was during the school year. But…she still didn’t know if she could pull it off…again, she sighed.

Connor nodded his head slightly as he listened to what Celina was saying about her brother. He attended Durmstrange? That was interesting. Connor had attended Beauxbaton’s himself before going to Hogwart’s and found the difference between the two schools quite large. He liked Hogwart’s more for some reasons, but he also liked Beauxbaton’s more for different reasons. “ Wait, so if your brother attended Durmstrange, why would he end up working at Hogwart’s? “ He asked her curiously.
“ Six years, huh? I’m four years younger than my sister and we’re pretty close as well. “ It was true, he had his sister generally got along fine but at other times not so much. She was the person who had gotten him into being a vegetarian, and she had also helped him through a lot of hard times. He looked up to his sister, and even though they didn’t live in the same house anymore, they were still as close as ever. Sometimes their parents worried about them not bickering so much, but it was normal for them to get along.
Connor was excited for the music festival, he had just heard about it the other day and was already in the works of making plans to attend. “ You should definitely go. Even if your brother doesn’t want to. “ He said with a smile before continuing, “ It’s supposed to be a ton of fun. I think it’s three days long, a big event.. “ He trailed off, taking another drink from his cup before continuing. “ It’s in about a week or so.. “
Just then Connor thought of a good idea, well it seemed good, and he tended not to think before talking when he suddenly thought of an idea he blurted out, “ Hey, wouldn’t it be fun to get a group of people together and camp out? I think they’re having campsites there for people who stay all three days of the festival. “ To Connor, nothing sounded more fun than that.

Celina shrugged. She actually had never gotten the full story of how Alfonz managed to get hired. Raynor said she hired him based on his credentials and stuff, and Alfonz said he had his way with the Head Mistress. He was joking of course, and Celina had told him how gross that sounded every time he joked and played around the topic, but in all reality she didn’t quite know. It had scared her something horrible in the beginning, what with him being what everyone was though were the bad guys but any more, it was as if that had disappeared and things had slightly blown over. Even Drew and Alfonz seemed to tolerate each other better…though, Celina knew Alfonz was mostly playing a part with that one. “I’m not quite sure. He’s a professional quidditch…er….well was, so maybe Raynor saw potential in him or something…” it sounded off, as did her tone. But she smiled, any ways. Her brother was at the school and somewhat enjoying the job, that was all that mattered.
“Yup, six years,” Celina nodded in response, and listened to how he was four years of age difference with his own sister. Celina found it comforting not to be the only one with an older sibling that was quite a distance. Two years seemed normal, but anything after four and people tended to treat them differently. Or at least in Alfonz and her relationship with each other, people found it odd how close they were. Celina just brushed if off. They probably just didn’t know.
The music festival sounded really fun from how Connor was describing it and such, and the more she listened the more Celina tried to think about how she could sneak away for a few hours to see some of it. She thought hard as she continued to grasp all of what Connor was saying, and then too lifted her tea to her mouth to take a sip. What she hadn’t planned on was what Connor proposed next, and it made her gulp hard swallowing a few drops of liquid down the wrong tube.
Hey, wouldn’t it be fun to get a group of people together and camp out? I think they’re having campsites there for people who stay all three days of the festival.
She coughed slightly, trying her hardest not to make a fool out of herself and choke completely on the idea. It did sound wonderful, and like a great idea. Not to mention, Celina had wanted to go camping this summer. It would be like that, except better because of the music festival. The only problem was…her father would never allow for such things…
Putting a hand in front of her mouth, and placing her tea down she finally got over her coughing and cleared her throat slightly. “Sorry…” she managed to squeak out. “..wrong tube…” she coughed one last time and shook her head, thinking that that was actually going to help clear her throat.
As she did, she tried her hardest to smile and nod enthusiastically. She tried to hard and it could be seen that though she liked the idea…there was a ‘but’ on the way. “I think that would be so fun!…” she trailed off as she didn’t know how to explain the rest of what she was thinking…so, she completely moved on. “When you say group, who do you think would like to go along?” She asked, almost already listing the people she would invite herself.

Connor rested his elbow on the table and propped his head up with his free hand, the other still wrapped around the mug of tea. As Celina mentioned that her brother had played professional Quidditch, he nodded slightly, remembering that fact for himself now. He remembered that her brother had played for.. a Polish team, if he recalled correctly. “ Oh, yeah, the.. uhm.. Grodzisk Goblins, right? “ He questioned, thinking he was right. It wasn’t as if Connor knew a lot about Jedynak, but he had read a Quidditch magazine article about Jedynak deciding to quit Profession Quidditch and be a co-referee at the school instead. He had wondered why at the time, and made note of the man. It was strange to think of that now he was sitting there, having a cup of tea with Jedynak’s sister. Connor noticed the uncertainty in Celina’s voice as she talked about Raynor… seeing her brother’s potential or something. How strange. Connor shrugged slightly, then said, “ Well, it does make sense… Did you catch the game at the end of the year? “ He asked her curiously, figuring she must have if her brother was organizing the event.
So four years wasn't too bad, really. Neither was six in terms of years difference between siblings. Connor had heard of much bigger age difference between two siblings, nine, even ten years. He thought that was a bit extreme, but six years wasn't too terrible.
Connor still held a light smile on his face, waiting to see Celina's reaction to his idea. When she did show a reaction, it was not at all a good one. Quite the opposite, really. She coughed, looking almost as if she was choking on her tea. Connor made to move to help her, but asked, " Are you.. okay? " He asked this just as her coughing subsided so he sat back down on his chair. " It's fine.. No problem, " He said, brushing off her apology. It wasn't her fault that she was choking on her tea.
The Slytherin relaxed a little, knowing that Celina was alright now. Plus she sounded enthusiastic about it, so that was a bonus. " Yeah, I mean.. It would be. Fun, that is. " He added, taking another drink of his tea and tapping lightly on his knee with his free hand out of habit. Once he set the tea back on the table he nodded his head, thinking that maybe Celina sounded a little hesistant of his idea. He didn't know why and wasn't given much of a chance as she went on to ask who he thought he'd like to bring along.
" I have no idea. Making friends wasn't exactly my forte. " He stated with a sheepish smile. " But what about you, who would you bring along? " He asked curiously.

Celina nodded her head, smiling at the idea that Connor knew even what team her brother had played on. She didn’t know why it surprised her, for many knew the team. She supposed it was because Connor didn’t look like the sporty kind of kid, but she could have been terribly mistaken. Celina didn’t know. “Yup, played for the Goblins. It was the same team my father used to play on before he met my mother,” again Celina looked over to where her mother sat. This time, it seemed she was chatting it up with the waitress that had just served Connor and her. Good, Celina thought to herself. Kept her ma’ma out of trouble, after all.
“The last game?” Celina looked back toward where Connor was sitting and took a sip of her lemon tea wondering what game he had meant. She hadn’t caught the last game her brother played in, and then she rethought of what Connor had specifically said. “Oh! The one between the Pheonix and the Hippogriffs,” Celina nodded. “Yea, I helped my brother out with it a bit.” Not sure if she was supposed to tell that tid bit, she raised her hand quick to her mouth, a sudden look of surprised covered her face.
“But…you didn’t hear that from me,” she whispered through her hand sheepishly, her eyes looking away from Connor and at her cup of tea.
As she cleared her throat, the tickle still there from when she was coughing, she nodded her head. She nodded to his request if she was ok, knowing how foolish it must have looked. Her face flushed and she felt as if crawling under the table would have been a smoother move.
“Yea, I know how that is,” Celina rested her elbow on the table, her chin resting a bit on her hand. “The only reason why I think I have friends was because….” Actually, she hesitated, not really wanting to tell Connor that the only reason why she associated with people was because her mother told her to. It sounded odd, but in all reality it was true and the raven girl knew it. Before her mother had told her making friends would be good for her, she had avoided people as if they had the black death from long ago. They would distract her, get in the way of her studies, and influence her badly. It was what Alfonz had told her…and so, she had believed him.
In ways, her older brother had been true. But he had never once told her that making connections with people would leave her wanting….craving almost a connection for others to know of her, and her to know of them. A longing to be known, and above all else, a longing to be befriended; if for anything else, Celina found that she was a lot happier, for she was not as lonely as she once was. She had never noticed it before without friends…but now as she was without them once more, as she was after the deva invasion, she could feel the loneliness. She was no longer the loner her brother wished she was, and Celina only wished she could help her brother now make some friends. If only miracles happened…
“Well, I think you’re a great person, Connor…” Celina smiled warmly, her brown eyes lingering on the Slytherin’s face once more. “I don’t know how anyone could not want to be your friend,” she giggled slightly, her skin turning a slight shade of pink. Was it odd to say something as such? Celina was unsure, but it didn’t sound right to be addressing it quite like that.
“If I were to invite anyone,” Celina said thinking to herself about all the friends she had made that year. There was Drew, and Felicity….Guy….Seanna….and others that Celina knew, but friends was different than just people you know. “I think I’d invite Felicity, Drew…” Celina thought some more and shrugged. “There’s Seanna maybe, and this Gryffindor named Guy who plays drums and has a small kitten named Mittens…” Celina considered them all friends, but she would probably have only really invited Drew and Felicity, but she didn’t know.
“But…umm,” she said softly, lifting her hand to scratch her head. “I don’t really have a lot of friends though either…” January didn’t help that… Celina thought to herself and shrugged.
Both elbows on the table now, she leaned slightly on her hands more towards Connor but not laying on the table or anything funny like that. She just lazily rested there. “Though…” she sighed sadly. “I don’t know if I’d be able to…”

Well, that was an unknown fact to him about the Jedynak family. But then again, Connor didn't really know too much at all, so anything was probably an unknown fact to him. All the same, it was interesting to know that Celina's brother and her father both played Quidditch Professionally, on the same team even. " That's cool.. Was your dad angry when your brother left the team? " He asked her curiously, but then added, " If you don't mind my asking. " Some people were touchy when it came to subjects such as family and he really wouldn't blame her if she didn't want to answer his question. It was personal, and he wouldn't be offended if she felt the same way. But all Connor knew was if he and his father both played Professional Quidditch on the same team and he just quit one day his father would probably be very angry at him.
Connor found himself nodding as Celina inquired about the last game, but then stated something about the Pheonix and the Hippogriffs. " Right, those were the teams, I almost forgot, " He told her with a light shake of his head. It had really been a match to remember, but he had been more focused on the players on the teams rather than the teams themselves. He drained his cup before setting his mug down on the table again just as Celina said ' you didn't hear that from me. '
" Of course not, " He stated with a reassuring smile, even though she turned away.
' Yea, I know how that is,' While Connor was sure Celina's situation was probably a little different from his own, he was glad that he could sort of relate to her in some way. Even if it was their lack of ability in making friends. Connor was tempted to ask her, ' Because why? ' but didn't. It seemed that the Ravengirl had trailed off into her thoughts for a few seconds and he found himself doing the same. Who could he really call a friend? He wasn't sure, but he felt a little pathetic for even having to ask a question himself that question. He shrugged his shoulders of the subject and folded his arms, leaning on the edge of the table as Celina spoke again.
' Well, I think you’re a great person, Connor… ' The Slytherin lad felt a smile grow on his face at Celina's words. She seemed genuine, and with a flattering comment such as that, how could he not return it? Especially if it happened to be true. " You're not so bad yourself, Jedynak. " So maybe it wasn't exactly what she had said, but it was his way of returning her compliment and teasing her at the same time.
As Celina trailed off and thought of the list of people she would bring, Connor turned his cup this way and that, watching as the last remaining dregs of tea moved about the bottom of the mug. He wasn't one to believe in Divination too much, but he was curious all the same. He looked back up to her as she started naming her list, and although it was short, it was longer than Connor's which consisted of no one. " Sounds fun, I think I've only seen those people around, never really met them. " He stated with a half shrug. Yes, he was that pathetic that he had never met any of those people before. But in his defense, he was pretty sure that they were all a year ahead of the two of them.
He quirked his head slightly as he looked over to Celina, regarding her with a curious gaze as she mentioned that she didn't really have a lot of friends either. He couldn't think of why, she was intelligent, nice to talk to, and did well in school. While it wasn't what all people looked for in a friend, it was good enough for Connor. " Ah, why not? " He asked, his brow furrowing slightly in response to her comment. If she wanted to go.. shouldn't she be allowed? But then again, it probably wouldn't be all that simple.

What had happened when Alfonz had left the team was a mystery to Celina. “I’m not quite sure…” Celina said with a shrug. She knew it was a low blow to her father’s ego, not to mention his pride. But the sheer fact that Alfonz was just on leave from the team was probably why there hadn’t been such a ruckus among the Jedynak males. As for if she minded Connor asking, Celina shook her head. “No, I don’t mind you asking,” for Celina figured that Connor wasn’t one to go telling all about her. Or somehow using it against her…but that was another story in amongst itself.
Continuing to lean on her hands Celina giggled as Connor teased her slightly, saying she wasn’t bad either. “Well, thank you,” Celina sheepishly responded, slightly hiding her face in her hand. She sighed and shook her head.
“Yea, they’re great people,” Celina shrugged. At the moment they were all friends again and great with each other. It had only taken them two months after January for them to all begin talking again…or something like that. Celina thought again, but shook it off trying not to think. Everything bad was in the past. It was all good now….everything was good again. When Connor said he hadn’t met them, Celina didn’t know what to say. She felt bad, but at the same time she was absolutely shocked. Not even Felicity? She seemed to know all of the people….wait…they were all in the same year?! “You know Felicity from classes,” Celina laughed and shrugged. “Blond hair….brown eyes….really bubbly and talkative…” Celina almost said to Connor that she would have bet anyone that they wouldn’t think she would be hanging out with Felicity, but then refrained. Maybe that wasn’t true…
And then the question of why she probably couldn’t go, and Celina sighed softly again looking down at the table. “If I’m not with Alfonz, my father rarely lets me go out without supervision he approves of. And if I’m with Alfonz, he also checks whom I’m with like a hawk, and most of the time wants to go with. Which is fine, cause I love him tagging along…but sometimes,” Celina hesitated not really knowing how to say what she wanted to next. “Sometimes…he rubs people the wrong way.” It was the truth…sort of.

Connor nodded his head once again as Celina responded to his question about whether or not her father had been mad at her brother for leaving the Quidditch team. This raised questions in Connor’s mind about why Alfonz Jedynak had decided to leave the team in the first place, especially if it was for a much less glamorous job such as being the Co-Referee for Hogwart’s. Not that he complained, though, Connor had never met the man so he couldn’t rightly pass judgment on him about anything. But from what Celina had said thus far he seemed like a decent guy.
“ Yeah, it’s kinda cool that he’s working at the school now. “ Now that Connor thought on it if he remembered correctly there had been quite a bit of buzz created about the former Quidditch star joining the ranks of the Hogwart’s staff.
Well, thank you, Connor grinned slightly at the girl seated across from him, watching as she somehow hid behind her hand. A playful smirk fell across Connor’s lips as he said, “ That really is a good compliment.. Coming from me and all. “ He chuckled at himself even as he said this, thinking that just the thought of him finding himself to be ‘ all that ‘ extremely amusing. “ Kidding, “ He finally said through his chuckles, but then said, “ You know, it’s a wonder we’ve never hung out before. “ He shook his head slightly as he said this, wondering why. It was probably because Connor hadn’t actually branched out from his own house too much in the previous year. It was one of his goals for the upcoming year, to go along with his new duties as Prefect.
As Celina mentioned Felicity, Connor felt himself flush slightly in the face as he remembered the instance in history of magic with the love potion. “ Right.. she’s the one who was there that day.. in History of Magic. “ He was being extremely vague out of sheer embarrassment. Connor had made an arse out of himself, being a jerk to Celina. He felt bad for it now, but how could he have known that he would be seated across from her several months later, having a conversation? He couldn’t have known, but still felt embarrassed as Celina mentioned her friend.
Connor tapped the table lightly as he listened to her explain why she probably couldn’t go to the festival. He had been about to suggest that Celina just invite her brother along as well when she mentioned about him sometimes rubbing people the wrong way. He tried to think of something, but then just went with his first idea. “ You should really just invite him along, y’know. Would he really mind you going off with some friends for a little while for the concerts? “ He questioned curiously.

Celina nodded, agreeing that her brother working at Hogwarts was indeed different. Cool? She thought it was, but then again, she was his younger sister who had always wanted him to see Hogwarts in a different light than what he thought it was. It made Celina feel a bit better about where she was if Alfonz was with her there, too.
Celina peaked through her fingers slightly, catching Connor’s smirk, which only made Celina giggle more, her face turning slightly pink. It wasn’t until his comment where she knew exactly what the smirk was for. He had a bit of an edge to him, and slightly remind Celina of her brother. Though, when he was younger. Alfonz rarely ever joked very much with anyone who wasn’t, as he would call it, ‘worth his time’. Celina never had liked his change, but she dealt with it. “Then I’m honored,” Celina commented back taking her hand from her face and laying it on the table. “After all, a comment from you, mean so much,” she rolled her eyes playfully and laughed again. Kidding. “I know.”
You know, it’s a wonder we’ve never hung out before.
Celina shrugged and took a sip of her tea, draining the last bit of it from the cup. “It’s a good thing then that we have two years to catch up, then.” She smiled sweetly and genuinely at the boy. She meant nothing by it, other than what was said, but Celina did find that she enjoyed spending time with him. He was not what she had sometimes thought. But she had already told him that she thought he was good company; repeating herself would just look silly and Celina didn’t want to be annoying.
Of course, then he did bring up maybe why they hadn’t hung out before then. Celina nodded, remembering the day in History of Magic quite well. She’d lost her last nerve that day when Connor had walked on it by butting into a conversation she was having with Felicity so rudely. But when she had been upset in Herbology, Connor was one of the students who had come to see if she was ok, too. “That was just a bad day,” Celina said shaking her head, slightly annoyed with herself for getting so annoyed with the boy. “I hardly remembered.” Celina didn’t want to think ill of Connor. There was just something about him that Celina liked as a person and one little squabble wasn’t going to change her opinion of him.
Frankly, Celina had forgiven far worse from even her closest of friends. She wasn’t about to remember something so small. “Don’t ever let me catch you worrying about it,” Celina teased while playfully scolding the boy. Looking away she laughed and sighed contently.
Connor just didn't understand. Alfonz didn't like any of her friends. Her eyes drifted to the table top as she traced the top of her tea glass with her fingers. "Alfonz is not really fond of the friends I've made because..." she shoudl say? "You see...I've had some fights with them, and I went back and kind of..." is crying mature? Is crying anything she should do at sixteen? "I went back to him upset about them, and Alfonz doesn't like me hanging out with them. Says that they'll hurt me again if I do that...." Celina didn't look at Connor while saying all of this. She didn't want him to think horribly of her brother. It was her fault that he thought that way because she had gone back to him crying multiple times. She had been upset...and from it, Alfonz had made his judgements.
“But maybe Alfonz would go…” she said referencing the Music Fest… “Or, maybe if I’m lucky…hmm” again she thought. He’d never let her go alone, especially with any of her friends. He didn’t approve of them to begin with; Alfonz tolerated them, but hadn’t ever approved of them. “When did you say it was again?” Celina asked, scheming to herself in her head. It would have to be a smooth transition. The Music fest was only, three days? That long, no one would worry if they didn't find her....because each party would think that she was at the others. Emerald would be with her....so...how would there be any problems?
Celina began to plan in her head. She may be able to get away....it would just take precise planning, a little bit of her own scheming and the ravenclaw brain she had to figure it out. Now she just hoped....it would work.

Connor caught sight of the Ravenclaw peeking at him through her fingers, almost like a mask. The smirk was wiped off his face as a smile took it’s place. It was a humorous image and he felt sure he would remember it for some time to come. He turned his head, looking at the girl, his quirky grin still in place as she responded to his comment. “ I swear, people are going to think I’m full of myself or something.. “ He trailed off, once again laughing at himself. He couldn’t help it, one thing Connor seemed to be able to do was entertain himself, even if it didn’t seem to be all that funny or entertaining to anyone else. It was something he knew he was good at, occupying himself with small, sometimes comical, comments.
Two years.. The thought hadn’t ever really crossed Connor’s mind until Celina mentioned it just then, they would be seventh years the next year. What a strange thought that was, Connor was still getting used to being a fifth year when the school term ended, giving him the title of both Prefect and sixth year. Connor looked back up to Celina, catching sight of her smile. “ Two whole years, huh? That’s a fair amount of time to get to know someone, I’d say. “ He commented aloud, his tone light, but sincere all the same. Connor was glad for Celina’s company, without it he wasn’t sure how he would have spent his afternoon, probably doing nothing, playing around on his lap top.
Bringing back up the former topic, Connor asked, “ Is it weird that we’re going to be seventh years next term? “ He asked, wondering about it.
Still on the topic of that specific day in History of Magic class, Connor could still feel the heat in his face from his blushing. He cursed his fair skinned heritage, but brushed the topic off and said, “ Yes, well… I was a bit of a jerk that day. “ He apologized even though Celina had told him not to worry about it, and even jokingly scolded him about it. He smiled as he shook his head slightly, answering, “ Well, I’ll try my hardest. “
As Celina tried to explain to him just why exactly her brother would be hesitant to let her go to the festival alone, he tried to understand. As she went on, though, it seemed more clear as for why the older Jedynak didn’t seem to approve of her friends. Although he was the younger of the two children his parents had, he still felt, at times, overprotective of his sister. Connor wasn’t passing judgment against neither Alfonz nor Celina’s friends, but it seemed that the man had some reason to think the way he did. He was unsure of what to say, so he moved on to what she had said about the music festival. “ July.. twenty first through the twenty third, I believe. “ He told her with a light nod. “ You should really see if you can come, I mean.. It’s supposed to be great. “

Celina giggled at the Slytherin’s comment, trying not to think about the stereotypes of what Slytherin’s were supposed to be like. From her observations, Connor wasn’t much like what Slytherin’s were supposed to be, nicer and…well, enjoyable to be around. Celina figured that they were just like anyone else, but Connor only proved it. She tilted her head slightly, removing her hands from her face, slightly flushed cheeks now shown from underneath.
Two whole years, huh? That’s a fair amount of time to get to know someone, I’d say.
Celina nodded enthusiastically, excited that he too thought two years was a fair amount of time to get to know someone better. If she could make friends so quickly with Felicity and Drew, Celina knew there was time enough to make friends with Connor.
Still smiling as Connor looked as if he was thinking about the concept that she hadn’t really thought much about. Celina was just mentioning how there were two years for the two of them to get to know each other better, but what Connor also brought up did make Celina think as well. She shrugged, not really knowing what else to say. “Yes, but we have to get through our sixth year first,” she laughed slightly, plainly stating.
Celina giggled even harder as Connor jested back with her a bit about trying his hardest. “Good,” she said, relaxing and laughing still. “Because…” she hesitated. “…it wasn’t as if I was the nicest Raven that day either.” Her eyes drifted as she could feel her face burn with embarrassment again. There was no reason for her to have been rude, and Celina couldn’t even figure out why. Possibly, the fumes from the potion were irritating them both? But why? Shouldn’t a love potion be attracting one to another? Or maybe that was just if you ingested it…
Celina went into thought about it, her face looking as if it were lost in thought.
Nodding at Connor, Celina sighed and thought some more. “Yea, I could try to go. I don’t know about camping though…” she shrugged looking back over at her mother. “Do you know any of the bands going there?” knowing how little she really knew of music other than classical. She remembered her night with Guy on the roof of the towers….somehow, she didn’t know if going would be anything other than an embarrassing time.
