Once Drew had a good grasp on the fish, Stephan used one hand to sprawl around the gills and the other disappeared down in the fish's mouth. The hook really was in there pretty good, but he couldn't believe the darn thing hadn't give up yet. Finding his hook on the very back of the fish's pallet, Stephan struggled as much as it to unhook him and not lose it. Though at the very last minute, right when he thought he had a good hold on it...
"Damn!" Stephan shouted, withdrawing his hand with blood starting to drip down a nice jagged rip. The hook had not only detached itself from the fish, but had snagged itself on Stephan's hand and made a not so clean cut.
"Ib, the kit," Harold told the older man, pulling Stephan into a seated position while Zachary quickly pushed his head down and tried to keep Stephan calm. He didn't do so well with blood when it was his own.

Drew watched in amazement as Stephan tried to extract the hook from the fish's mouth. It looked tricky, but at the same time, Stephan worked like someone who knew exactly what to do. It was also pretty cool how Stephan stuck his hand in the mouth of the fish.
... Until he shouted out. Drew sucked on his teeth and nearly dropped the fish when he saw the blood. The Ravenclaw wasn't particularly squeemish, but something like that was never pleasant to see. Drew held onto the fish helplessly, not sure what to do. He didn't want to drop the fish, but he really couldn't just stand there and do nothing either. then again, even if he didn't have a huge fish in his hands, he wasn't sure he'd be able to help out anyway.

Pulling out the kit from under one of the seats, Ib fumbled with getting the lid open, not being too good around human blood himself. Fortunately, he didn't pass out from the sight of it like Stephan did, but he became extremely ill at the sight of it. Getting the little box open, he immediately handed the entire kit over to Harold and instead turned his attention to the fish in Drew's hands.
"Here, let's set him down in the water and let that clean him out a bit before we pack him. We'll just have to clean him better and fry him longer, depending on if Meadow doesn't just want us to toss him." It was tricky business, but with the right cleaning and the right roasting, it wouldn't hurt them any. Besides, it was a nice catch.
With Zarachy holding Stephan's head down and covering his eyes for him, Harold carefully took the hook out of the boy's hand and began giving it a nice cleaning, thinking it might be possible to get him stitches with how deep the cut went. "What do you think Ib?" he asked the older Hjort. It would mean cutting their fishing short, but it was up to Ib and Stephan.
Gazing down at the hand, brealy able to stop the illness that took over he nodded his head before ducking over the side of the boat. One of his only weakness, and it had to be shown in front of that boy. "Andrew," he croaked out a little weakly, not wanting to have to ask for his help at all. "Have you ever driven a boat?"

Drew hadn't even thought of the blood on the fish and as he handed the catch over, he looked down and saw a bit of the red on his own hands. Not all that squeemish, it wasn't a big deal to Drew who figured the fish would still be cleaned and eaten. What was a bigger deal was that Mr. Hjort wasn't either glaring at him or subtley insulting him.
Wincing as the hook came out, knowing it had to hurt, Drew was watching the procedure with an interested eye. He was surprised when Mr. Hjort called out to him. "Me?" Drew asked, wondering how it came down to him. "Once... a long time ago..." And his grandfather had been right behind him the whole time ready to take the wheel. Drew tried to remember if it was like driving a car. Not that he had a whole lot of exxperience with that either, but at least it was a more recent occurance.

There wasn't anyone else by the name of Andrew in the boat, and Ib had to restrain from blowing his top, not that it would've worked so well as his stomach wasn't feeling to well right then. Instead, he ducked back over the side of the boat, kneeling over the edge, fish and net still in his hand...thankfully just sitting in the boat, but still in his hand.
"Drew, you think you can get us back to shore?" Harold asked, figuring if not he could hand over Stephan's hand to either Zachary or Drew and drive it back himself. "We need to get back so someone can do up Stephan's hand for us, either Felicity or Meadow will do a clean job at it." He figured the boy could figure out for his own that if he couldn't get them back he'd need to take up someone else's spot.

Drew tried not to notice as Mr. Hjort apparently hurled over the side and instead faced Harold as the man repeated the request. The truth was the seventeen year old would have been more sure about pulling his wand out of his back pocket and casting a healing charm on Stephan's finger himself... but somehow, Drew didn't think that would fly so well in a boat full of Muggles.
"I... I think so," Drew answered, trying to sound confident. It was just a matter of turning it on and steering it back, wasn't it?

"Fire her up then," Harold told the boy, watching him. If he couldn't do it or didn't have enough confidence Harold had no problem getting them back to shore himself, it would just mean Drew would have to help Zachary out with Stephan. Ib was pretty much useless to them at the moment, he didn't do so well with human blood, something he'd learned when Felicity had fallen and scraped up her knee one time. He hadn't been sure at that moment if it was just because of the blood or if it was because it was Felicity, either way, he hadn't looked so well.
Ib gripped at the side of the boat, trying to keep his mind on the water and not on the imaginative smell of human blood filling his nostrils. He knew he couldn't smell it that well, but the thought of it was making him more than queasy.

Fire her up...
Though he had never actually started up a boat before, Drew got the motor running easily enough, but wasted some time looking for a parking break before realizing there probably wouldn't be one. "Anchor?" Drew asked, hoping someone got that while he found the gas and got the boat going with a lurch. Once he got the feel of it, he was confident he could steer it back to the shore. The bigger problem would be parking the thing without crashing into the dock.
He took a moment to look over his shoulder, concerned about Stephan's finger and hoping he didn't lose anyone over board.

Ib was all ready carefully pulling to small anchor up. It wasn't anything large, just enough to weigh them in and allow them to fish without too much movement, and he didn't dare turn back to look just in case he had another episode bubbling. "Doing it right now," he answered, trying not to sound too ill or annoyed the boy was asking anything and not getting right to what he was should be doing. The lurch didn't do anything for his stomach and he ducked back over the side of the boat, again trying not to be angry and pulling the anchor up quickly.
Harold held a little pressure to Stephan's hand, Zachary continued to hold the boy's head down, and Stephan had his eyes closed tightly. He was fine with pain, but upon seeing his own blood, he didn't do so well.

As they got closer to the shore, Drew started to realize that he wasn't exactly sure how to stop the boat once it was going. The only times he had driven his grandfather's, they hadn't actually gone anywhere so it wasn't like he had to park it or something. In the end, Drew figured that if he timed it right, he could steer the drift and end up close enough to the dock that someone could help out.
Letting up off the gass, Drew turned the wheel, doing his best to aim for the shore. He had misjudged the speed and the boat ended up banging against the dock, but on the whole, Drew thought he had done pretty good. The Ravenclaw peekd over the side and didn't see any damage, but of course the owner might disagree. Drew looked over at the others, not exactly sure what to do and wishing he should have just admitted his lack of experience and helped Stephan with the hooked finger. Drew was better at first aid anyway.

As the boat sped toward the shore, everything seemed to be going fine, even the bump against the dock didn't seem to bother anyone. Well, it did Ib Hjort, but he was all ready over the other side and facing the water ready for anything, and the anger he felt didn't show too much at the boy's driving skills as he was more worried about his kin than the boat at the moment. He'd worry about the boat later.
Seeing the boat hit up against the dock, as she was cleaning up after the boys, her sandwiches being put aside for the time being, Felicity's face drew up in concern. Her mum wasn't even up yet, so why were they back so soon?
Making her way towards them as she watched Zachary and Harold helping Stephan off the boat, she became even more worried.
"What's wrong?" she asked, seeing her dad ducked over the side, Drew piloting, and everyone else crowded around her cousin.

While the others got Stephan off the boat, Drew did what he could to tie it up properly. He gave a worried glance at Mr. Hjort before finally joining the others. Felicity had come over, but her mom was no where to be seen.
He stayed off to the side, still not sure what he was expected to do, but willing to stay close enough to help if he was needed. With as many injuries as he had suffered, he waws pretty good with a first aid kit, whether it was a magical or muggle one.

"Stephan had a bit of an accident," Harold answered, ushering the boy closer to Felicity. "A bit of a wild fish that didn't want to let go of the hook, you think you can sew his hand up?" The older man's eyes were focused on the blonde, though his mind was on his friend and family member.
Nodding without question, Felicity didn't even ask to see her cousin's hand. Her mum wasn't up yet and there was no reason to worry her. As long as it was just a minor wound she could take care of it just fine. It was just sterilizing the needle and thread and cleaning the wound out really well. The sewing of the hand wouldn't be a problem as long as Zachary and Harold kept Stephan's mind occupied otherwise. Or if they thought they should numb his hand first.
"I'll get the kit..." she trailed off, starting toward the vehicles and grabbing hold of Drew as she walked by. Maybe he saw the wound and knew how bad it was? If it was really bad they'd have to drive to the hospital and not have her do it, she knew her mum would say the same as well. "Come with me?" she asked softly, not waiting for an answer as she pulled her boyfriend along with her.

Drew was feeling at a loss, not sure what to do, so when Felicity grabbed him, he stumbled along after her, skipping once to catch up with her.
He was pretty impressed that she might be able to fix it up and was curious to see her do it, but at the same time, wanted to offer his own help... and she was the only one he trusted enough to mention it. "I have my wand," he told her quietly. "I could fix it." It was an offer he doubted would be accpeted, knowing Mr. Hjort wasn't too keen on the whole magic thing.

Hearing Drew's offer, Felicity bit her lip. It wouldn't be a bad idea; it would be cleaner, likely less damage, scarring would be minimal, and if there was anything worse that she missed it would get it. But she couldn't say yes, it wasn't her hand.
"I know you could," she answered, stopping at the vehicle and opening the door. "Dad wouldn't like it though, but maybe Stephan would. It is less painful that way and there wouldn't be as much blood if you did it. But it would have to be something we asked Stephan..."
Her cousin seemed awfully keen on things, and he did like Drew an awful lot so far as she could tell. Would he be willing to take on Drew's offer? It was possible.
"What if I take the muggle kit back and then we ask him which he'd rather do?" she asked, hoping that Drew really would be all right fixing his hand. It would be a whole lot easier and she was sure Harold and Zachary wouldn't say anything and that they could make it look like she did something, just wrap his hand up afterwards.
