Ben. Was. Bored. Actually, 'bored' was a rather large understatement as Ben couldn't ever remember being so restless in his entire life. He was lying on the bed of his new apartment, trying to let everything sink in. He was living with Beni. He needed a job. She had one. He had no idea what he was going to do with his life. She did. He was in trouble.
With a groan escaping his lips, Ben finally rolled over and sat up. The apartment was empty and Beni's absence was only adding to his restlessness. He just wanted to see her. He'd been asleep when she left that morning so Ben hadn't even had a chance to see her then. There was nothing for him to do around the place because he hadn't been living there long enough to make a mess. However, that was all about to change as his boredom forced him to wander toward the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen, Ben searched for something to eat. All he seemed to find that would satisfy him at that moment was a box of crackers. Shrugging, he carried the box with him into the living room, flicking on the TV and plopping down on the couch. In a matter of minutes, the box was half empty and most of the crumbs had found their way into Ben’s t-shirt as he lay on the couch, dozing off to sleep slightly. Merlin, he missed his Beni.

Oh her dear Merlin... Were weekdays boring or what? DLC had no major appointments that day and so it came so slowly that she was sure she was going to start doing things with her own hair if she was going to be going on this long with boredom. When the noon sun headed high on the London area, she whipped off the thick apron to replace it with her usual robes and disapparated as soon as her boss let her go.
In no time she was out in front of building complex, but she didn't feel right just entering, especially when she remembered that she ate the last bagel before going off that morning. Heading into Merril's quick, she did the quickest shopping she could with some bread, some slices of ham, and other items to keep them unstarved for a few days.
The rest of the journey was easy-peasy as she (unliterally) flew up the stairs and opened the door with one hand as the other had a paperbag filled with the food. With the jingle of the keys and flick, the door went opened ajar to wide open with her foot. She was about to holler her surprise presence when she spied Ben sleeping on the couch. Supressing her giggles, she landed in the kitchen to put down the bag. Maybe he wouldn't notice her right away as she quietly made him up a sandwich and set it next to him. Whether he was asleep or not, she sat cross legged on the floor in front of him, and leaned in to give him a welcoming kiss on the lips.

Ben had barely fallen asleep when he heard the door open faintly and it jolted him awake. He opened one eye carefully and saw Beni. He smiled slightly, but then fell right back asleep. He didn't hear her as she moved around and usually the rustling of a paper bag was enough to wake him out of a dead sleep, but it went unnoticed for now. Upon feeling her lips against his, Ben smile broadly, not opening his eyes yet.
"That's the way I like to wake up," he mumbled, finally opening his eyes and seeing his girlfriend sitting on the floor in front of him. His hungry eyes landed on the sandwich that had been placed next to him and a soft chuckled escaped his mouth. "You are my hero," he informed her, his tone light and playful as he reached over and grabbed the bread. Taking a bit, Ben kissed Beni softly again before chewing.
"How was work?" Ben mumbled, his mouth full.

"It's what I do-- not really," Beni said with a grin as she played with her hair a bit. She grabbed a few crisps from the box he had by him and popped a few in her mouth before making a response of her own. "Super-duper snail paced slow. One rock star and that's it." With a grumble, though, she wanted to say that the client wasn't hers. She came in through a risk on the owner's part, yes, but she was still very much entry level. At lot was needed to learn on her part.

"Sounds like your day wasn't anymore exciting than mine," Ben replied with a chuckle. Setting down his sandwich where it had been beside him before, Ben reached over and wrapped his arms around Beni, hauling her up onto the couch with him so she was sitting on his legs. Beni didn't weigh a lot so it was easy for Ben to haul her up and she wasn't crushing his legs either.
"No need to sit on the floor," he teased her, grabbing for his sandwich and taking another big bite, nearly finishing it off. Had he not mentioned earlier that he was hungry?

Beni did a bit of a surprised squeal as he lifted her to him. She adjusted her skirt as she smiled at him. "Thank you for that little flying lesson." She kissed her two fingers and "transported" the kisses to his cheek.
It was a wonder how they had made it this far. The move was anything but difficult, save the painful goodbyes from her mothers, but what she was sure would have been a hard transfer was a bit easier to handle, now that time had come along. Still, she missed her Hogwarts croonies.
"How do you feel for a little Hogwarts reunion?" She asked her prep school sweetheart.

Ben smiled at the "kiss" he received, but still felt the urge to complain about it as well. "Aw, that's all I get?" he grumbled with a smile, "That little half-arsed thing? Come here!" He laughed softly and pulled Beni down for a real kiss as he swallowed his food. His lips locked onto hers for a moment before he broke it off again.
"Merlin, already? Didn't we just escape there?" Ben wondered aloud, but still smiled, "It sounds like a great idea, Beni. When?"

Again she made a yelp of surprise but was no dissatisfied by the results. She stroked his hair and let herself smile into his kiss. There was making it harder for her to go back to work soon.
She had to laugh at his first reaction to her suggestion. "I know, especially when we bump into, like, half of them here. But I think we should go back to Hogsmeade and have a nice round so we can go back on good times and make a nice update on all of them." She knew some of them had better things to do, but she sincerely hoped they missed her as well.

"Sounds great, love," Ben replied with a grin and another kiss. Ben liked to just kiss her. If they could sit there all day and just kiss, he'd be a happy man, so he tried to sneak one in whenever he got the chance.
When Ben remembered something that had happened during the day, he groaned. He'd totally forgotten about the letter as he had been trying to repress as if that would make it go away. But now that he'd made a big deal of it, he knew he'd have to tell Beni. "I got a letter from my mum today," Ben informed her, "She wants to know when we're coming over. They want us for dinner." Ben couldn't help but grumble as he spoke the words. He was so not looking forward to that night, but he knew it would happened eventually. Later rather than sooner in his opinion.

"As soon as she wants us," Beni said, almost in a defiant way. The move, though quick and painless, was almost a bore to the not-so-precocious Gryffindor alumnus. He was able to meet her mothers, but she could only see less than a smidgen of his family. Now she definitely wanted to see them, especially when they were asking for the two of them.
"This is going to be good fun!" She exclaimed, scrunching up her face to emphasize her excitement. "You'll see. I'll even be the good little Muggle girl they want me to be." Psh, yeah right...

"Beni you just don't get it," the boy replied in a solemn tone, "You didn't have to see all of them. If we go over there, the entire gang will be there, and I mean that quite literally. They will team up on you and I don't want that to happen. My parents can come here if they want, but that's it." Ben was putting his foot down. He was really against her meeting them. Beni's mums had to be the nicest women on the face of the planet, but his family was such a different story.
"Would it be alright if they just came here?" Ben asked his girlfriend, "It would be a lot easier and they'd be less inclined to be mean without the rest of them there."

"As much as you'd want to, they can't," Beni said a bit sadly on his part. "Muggles don't have the ability to see our community as we do. They come in, they see a rundown building. Doesn't paint a picturesque picture, does it?"
She bit her lip, trying to keep back her own words on the matter. Ahhh... but she couldn't. "Who says I can't hold my own, anyhow?Fight on this with me all you want, we're going to hitch up our magical selves and see the fams." She raised an eyebrow enticingly, as if trying to say, Dare to say no.

Ben swore loudly and leaned back on the couch, his hands running through his hair. He was trying to think of any other way to get out of this but the look on Beni's face told him there was no escape. He knew she was right.
With a heavy sigh, Ben finally caved. "Fine," he agreed eventually, his tone only half-hearted, "But don't say I didn't warn you and you can't hold it against me when they're horrible to you."

"I've known you long enough to know you aren't horrible to me," Beni said with a bit of a smirk. "Besides, I've been through the whole people's parents being rude to me, mostly for other things." She shrugged. It had happened once and again, but it was because of her parents being gay. Years of friends' conservative parents and their subtly rude remarks toughened her up and made her get over the fact that people were going to think differently of you.
Just then, a white cat happened to stroll over above them. "Jettie!" She said with a grin as she grabbed her pet and stroked her head. It's amazing she wasn't leaping about and ending up in the linen closet. That cat was crazy. "You know," She said with a devilish grin. "I was almost about to compromise and suggest a restaurant, but your agreement's binding. Oh-well..."

Ben frowned slightly as he looked at Beni, wishing she had spoken up before. At a restaurant, he knew his parents would be less inclined to make a scene, but now that they had to go to their house, they'd be free to say whatever they wanted. Perfect.
Reaching down, Ben pet the top of the cat's head as he tried to think of a way out of this stupid situation. "If we go somewhere, my parents are less likely to be completely awful," Ben pointed out, hoping his knowledge would change her mind. Inside his head, he was begging.
