"Mhhm. You aren't allergic to anything yet are you?" Alhana asked suddenly with a frown. It wasn't often that she used anything that would make someone have an allergic reaction, but in the rare case she did, she was forced to pick out people that she knew for a fact that weren't going to have a reaction. She definetely didn't want her young subject to be scarred for life by soemhow turning into a very large, plump blueberry.

"Not that I know of..." She countered cautiously. She never really knew. Like everyone else she sneezed in the fall, and winter months from the cold and pollen but aside from that, she just didn't know.
"But, I suppose I can non-chalant-ly ask the nurse, she should know, its their job to know, right?" Sh questioned with a small smile. She didn't offer for the girl's sake, she offered for her own because she wanted to know, needed to know.

"Aye. As long as we have a good nurse this year. One of ym years, the prat didn't know a thing she was doing!" Alhana exclaimed, wriggling her nose a bit at the mention of the Hopsital Wing. Every time she went there it was because she had gotten seriously injured. First her collision and tumble with Raynor down a nasty flight of steps that made her babble in Hungarian and lose a good portion of her memory. The second time was not too long ago when Villers attacked her, and that thought made her pick up speed to get out of the forest faster.
"So where did you come from? Here in Scotland?" she asked, regaining her usual happy stance after the quick frown at the thought of Villers.

"Nope, England, Rothbury to be precise." She claimed with a small smile as her thoughts briefly went to home, wondering just what was going on without her.
"What about you, I don'tt recognize your accent." She questioned with a small giggle combined with joking suspicion at the older girl. It truly was unique, wherever it was from.

"Me? Oh um..." Alhana responded, lowering her head and glancing quickly to the sides as if she were checking for eavesdroppers. "Are you sure you really dare to know, Lianna?" she asked with a wink. "I come from a far away land where the ground is gold." she whispered and then grinned. "Hungary! I come from the land of the Magyars!" she exclaimed. "And the Huns."

She gave a small fit of laughter at the verbal antics before regaining control and replying. "Where the land is gold hmm? Must be nice...but, what are the Mag...people?" She questioned having not heard of them before. The Huns, yes, the...other people, no.

"Magyars." Alhana repeated with a shrug. "Magyar is another name for Hungarian." she explained with a nod. It was also part of the way to say Hungary in Hungarian, but she didn't want to make the more girl's ears hurt, as it was a very complicated sounding name. As for the land of gold..."You know...they say that is vat makes our vine so good! The leaves drip gold, they say." the Lioness whispered in a confidential tone, letting go of her control of the way she was supposed to pronounc certain letters.

"Ooooh!" She claimed in understanding as the girl explained what the Magyarks* were. Something else to pass the time with now, when she wasn't playing 'lab rat'.
"I...never had wine..." She replied meekly, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink from embarrassment. Most of her friends had nicked alittle from somewhere before, not her, she was, just different like that. And to her it would make the first taste 'more enjoyable'.

-twitch-
Alhana couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's tone when she claimed to have neber had wine. "Well, when you do have a sip, try some of ours. I've only ever had small sips from Anya's glass on special dinners." she claimed with a nod. She had never had anything more than that of any alcoholic drink before, and doubted she ever would. Beer had a nasty smell to it, so who would ever want to gulp that crap? "Besides, I heard a little wine is supposed to be good for you, you know."

She made a mental note to somehow manage to act upon Alhana's request sometime. Not sure how she'd do it, but she would. Besides england shared too many wines with the French...
Regardless she raised an eyebrow at the older girl's next statement. "Really?" She questioned in somewhat disbelief. She had never heard the statement, but then again, her parents didn't drink much, least not her mother. Her father had been completely wasted once or twice, but that was only after a couple of bad rows.

"Aye." Alhana replied with a nod. "It helps digestion and lower cholesterol, I think." she explained, pretty sure of herself. Whether she was right or not, she knew a small sip was beneficial to one's health. "Just don't go and start drinking alcohol. That's bad for your health; there's a reason for the age limit."

She nodded as Alhana continued to explain but at the girl's advice merely shook her head.
"Don't worry, I don't plan on becoming a drunk...not after seeing my dad once or twice whenhe...over does it...not pretty..." The rest was random murmurings, the words 'embarrassing' and 'means well' came up once or twice. She didn't hate her father, just, hated the alcohol in his life, if she had her way she would just get rid of it.
But then he'd go get more...

Not wanting to seem like she was prying into the girl's home life, the Gryffindor merely patted the younger girl's shoulder lightly in sympathy. Obviously her family was a bit screwed up, at least in her opinion, if her father had to go out and get drunk. Didn't those types of people know what kind of impact they had on their children.
Alhana veered the subject away from wine and drinks onto a happier note. "So how are you adjusting to life here? Do you like it?" she asked.

She was snapped from her little distasteful reverie by the girl's word and though having heard the question answered with "Hmmm?" Before recalling the question.
"Oh, erm, yea, its...alright I suppose. lotsa space to just sit back relax and enjoy ones self...and throw pine cones at people..." She replied sticking her tongue out briefly. It seemed childish, but, what was she again? Oh, right, a child...a child who was merely getting old in the ways.

"Pine cones?" Alhana shook her head. "Darling, we have a lot to teach you. You have to think bigger! Paint balloons! Paint bombs! I have a lot to teach you." she claimed with a deep sigh. It was true, there was a lot of space around here just to kick back and relax. Certain trees were great for napping in, and the lake was a great place to swim in if you weren't afraid of all the creatures that dwelt within it.
