"It was the only thing in the tree, it was a spur of the moment thing!" She claimed defensively, as to not damage her poor pride to badly. Though, she probably had anyway just by using pine cones. Never the less, she would not be disheartened!
"Does this teaching of yours come with the verbal agreement, or do I have to make another?" She questioned tilting her head.

"No no. It comes with the agreement. Although, sadly, I can not give you all of my knowledge. But someone must carry on after I leave." Alhana sighed with a nod. Though it won't be the same without Zsa-Zsa here to help. "I will teach you everything you need to know to make your own little paint balloons and mixtures so you can make people's skin turn different colors. You will see! I once, quite by accident, covered my friend in paint that changed every three seconds." she laughed at the memory. At the time, it wasn't at all funny because it had started a fight, but the anger soon melted and they were able to laugh later. Too bad he moved away too.

"Y-you what?!" She managed to gasp out before laughing semi controllably. That must have been a funny sight indeed. She only wished now she had been there to witness it. Though she still didn't know the rest of the story, it didn't matter. Anything that made her smile, laugh, or giggle, was worth its weight in words.

"Igen!" Alhana nodded eagerly. "It lasted for a very long time! Nothing could get it out. Well..eventually we came up with an antidote, but it took a a year or so." she explained. "And he was always a wee bit miffed whenever the subject came up again."

"Long time..." She commented softly, hoping she wouldn't turn out the same. Now the girl was beginning to have second thoughts, quite a few of them at that.
Irregardless though it was an amusing story. Short, but amusing. "What happened to him?" She questioned, not daring to tread into the grounds of blind, open assumption.

Alhana's smile disappeared to be replaced by a frown. "He left the school to go back to his homeland, Scotland. We were good friends and we still write, but I miss him." she replied. "He always took the pranks my Nover and I made on him. Although, he didn't really have achoice in the matter. A week didn't go by when we didn't short-sheet his bedding at least three times, or waking up covered in goop." she said, her smile returning.

"As long as he doesn't regret doing what he had to do..." She started cautiously, though trailing off to nothing as she realized those words would probably fall on deaf ears. Those probably weren't the best words to hear over all given the memories latched onto the words.

Falling on deaf ears they did not. Alhana nodded slowly. "Aye. He had a sister he needed to take care of. Hogwarts just didn't seem like home to him anymore, either." she replied with a shrug of her shoulders.

Then his reasons were justifyable. That simple. Still, it made her wonder though if she had been int he same position would she have made the same choice? Sure, it was family, but, she didn't know the circumstances behind his family matter, nor would she ask.
"Then, it wasn't just up and leaving, so, he's alright then?" She questioned now, wondering if any knowledge had perked through in a year, or however logn it had been.

"Well. It was kind of sudden but he had been thinking about it for quite some time. He was stressing out from it and even tried to run away through this very forest. It wasn't successfully, of course, because I was there and I would have dragged him by the ankle if it came down to it. He didn't have anywhere to go and certainly wasn't going to Scotland by himself in the middle of the night. Especially not in these times." Alhana replied quietly.
She'd been scared out of her wits something was going to happen to him. She even recalled that she might have threatened him at wand point, or was at least silently contemplating it. He was much bigger, heavier, and a wee bit stronger than her and so the threat of a wand would have worked well. Especially with all the horrid skin-changing spells she and Zsa-Zsa had cooked up and the spells in Hungarian that Joe had never heard before.

These times indeed, not that Lianna knew much of them. They seemed alright to her, bar the killing here, the missing person there, it seemed, normal, peaceful. She wasn't naive, merely unable to see behind the curtain of either front.
"So, he's alright, but...now you don't seem so..." Lianna replied, awkwardly stating the obvious. Perhaps she had touched the wrong part of the girl's past. Perhaps, more like probably.
