Krissy smiled slightly when Mike appologised. Knowing that he was feeling bad. Which meant she wouldn't have to alk to him as much as she first expected about it. The rain was pelting down and the cold was getting to Krissy as her hot chocolate had worn off but because she had stopped moving and keeping warm she ddin't feel the cold until just now when she was standing out in the pelting down rain that made things utterly so difficult.

She hopped up and down as her balance was giving out. They were all right. The pain was quickly returning in her hip and she was feeling all sorts of sensations in her leg. Beni didn't want to give up so quickly, she had just started the game. And to come down just as she was getting the hang of it...
"Fine," Beni sighed, getting off her broom and leaning against it for more support. "Fine, I'll get off the pitch. But I want to see more out there. And don't run into any tricks, you hear?" Speaking of tricks, she turned her attention to the trickster and put forth an honest smile. "It's okay, mate. I forgive you. You've got yourself some good turning there, though. I commend you for it."

Abigail remained standing off towards the side of the pitch, gratefully drinking the hot chocolate and looking over Krissy's old broom. She sighed with relief at the noticeable differences. A smooth handle, a tail with no straws of haw sticking out in random places, and the thought of a better ride comforted the Huffle. Abby, however, returned her gaze to the group of players now surrounding Beni. The Gryff seemed to be okay; after all, she was up and walking; however, her walk had an obvious limp and there appeared to be some slight arguing going on.

Deryn came bursting out of the dressing room in her Quidditch robes, gripping her old Nimbus 2001 so tight her nuckles were turning white. This was it. This was her chance to prove herself to the team. She hurried down the pitch to where everyone was standing, "Let's get this match going!" she hollered and mounted her broomstick. She looked at Brittany and smiled, "I won't let you down, Captain," she said, and kicked off the ground.

Anna, still standing there getting wetter by the second, saw the new girl come running on to the field. She had never seen this girl before so she had no idea who she was or what she was doing on the pitch. Not wanting to say anything to her, she went up to Britt. "Umm...Britt? Do you know who this person is?" she asked.

Deryn looked down and saw the other Gryffindors looking at her. She immediatly felt stupid for not introducing herself, so she turned and flew back down. She touched down by her team, "Probably should've introduced myself. Name's Deryn. Was told I was an alternate and I saw what just happened and heard what Brittany said to the ref. Is it ok that I'm here now?" she asked. Deryn really wanted to play and prove herself worthy of being on the team. She stared back at the Gryffindor's, waiting for an answer or some sign of agreement.

"It's fine by me," Ryder barely caught himself from growling at the kids. The rain wasn't no picnic for him, either and he wanted to get the bloody thing over with.
"Back on your brooms," the man barked, blowing his whistle again.

Mike kicked off hard and went back on the search for the snitch, he knew that he could pull Brittany into the Wronskei Feint if he needed too.
But he knew she wouldn't fall for it too easily.
"Good to see she's alright at least"
He muttered to himself and he hovered around searching for the snitch again

Dan briefly looked at Deryn before mounting his broom once again and kicking off of the ground. He scanned the area to see where the bludgers had gone to but didn't spot one until it was heading for those team mates of his that still remained on the ground. Setting himself in the right position Dan swung at the bludger and with the crack of the bat sent it flying away from them all.

Mike's eyes landed on Dan for a moment, it was strange. Dan hadn't hit a single bludger at him all game, yet he had let his friend down so many times over the last few months.
Mike had been prepared for an onslaught of bludgers, but none had came

Anna kicked off from the ground and flew straight to where the chasers were. Flying slightly higher than they were, she kept a look out for any bludgers that might come their way. Squniting slightly in the rain, she saw Dan hit a bludger and it went pelting away toward Mike. Now that Britt was playing chaser, she didn't have to worry about her as much as she did with Benita, but she still had to keep an eye out for her. As she flew with her team she noticed a flash of lightning had passed over her head. The weather seemed to be getting worse.

Suddenly Mike saw the snitch down at the Hufflepuff end, hovering around the goalposts. He started to speed up slowly to give off the illusion that he was still searching for the snitch.
The minute they looked away Mike shot towards the goals, the snitch still there, it was his............they were going to win.
He swung down and his hand shot out curling around the Snitch tightly. He had done it, he had caught the snitch.
"WOOHOO!!!"
He yelled out thrusting his arm up into the air triumphantly

Deryn swung around and looked down the pitch and saw a Hufflepuff player with his arms in the air, and saw a golden glint from his hand. She immeadiatly felt crushed. This was her first Quidditch game and she hadn't even had a chance to do anything, but now it was over. She didn't even bother to look at the others, she just flew back to the ground and stalked up to the castle.

Corey hadn't even left his broom nor position when the whistle blew from the referee. There was no point in it, as by the time he got there he'd be back in the air again near immediately.
Not that there was much a point in it, as they were temporally seeker-less, the Ref really shouldn'tve resumed play until all players were back in the air. For as soon as the whistle was blown the Huffle seeker, Rolen, was on top of the snitch basking in his glory like a show dog.
"Lap it up....still a cheap move." He muttered under his breath having not heard any of the conversation far below.

That was really quick seeking. Abigail was still trying to mount her broom when Mike grabbed the snitch. Looking up in the air towards the Hufflepuff, the first year noticed a flapping white wing and smiled with relief. They had won, it appeared at least, and she wouldn't have to get back in the air. That was definately enough quidditch for her for one day. Abigail sighed at the thought of going back to the castle and soaking in a nice hot bath.
