"Allegra!" Lily exclaimed. Her whole face lit up when she turned around and she saw her teammates, Allegra with her war paint and pigtails and Scott with his multi-colored hair. "Give me some of that." She said with a grin, holding her hands out to Allegra. "I want it on my face and as soon as you're done with the hair dye Scott can I have some?" She was all suited up and so there was nothing left but to become blue.

Aston stuck his nose out and accepted a streak across his nose and cheeks. He did feel a bit better about the situation, but not much. Playing was good, but the position....no so good.
"You don't think you could convince Ari to play, do you?" the boy asked quietly, eagerly. He didn't even know why the girl wasn't playing. Only that she had bumped into him on the way to the owlery that morning and practically begged him to sub for her. "I'd do much better cheering for you guys from the stands."

"I'll make Drew play seeker if you'd rather," Allegra told hte young Eagle lowering her voice as she smeared a ling of warpaint across his nose and down both cheeks. She had a suspicion he was part of the reason Ari wasn't there to begin with.
Just like she was the reason Kellen hadn't shown up yet.

Kellen had been very tempted to shave his head out of spite. He wasn't going to go through all that researching for nothing--he knew he could grow his hair back, he wasn't worried about that. Besides, it hadn't been that bad an idea.
But while he was debating, he remembered why they'd come up with the plan in the first place. He and Lily had been planning on making it a team builder, something to unite the house. Going bald now would just be devisive, he decided finally.
So he buried his spite. Take one for the team, after all. And he was more than a little surprised to walk into the locker room and see his fellow Ravens with blue paint on their faces--and blue hair?!
Oh, so now it's a good idea? he thought, a little upset. He didn't really know why he was feeling bitter, but after practically being laughed out of the common room the day before, he wasn't really in the mood. He looked at his teammates for a moment and, without saying a word, headed for his locker to gear up.

Just as Corey stepped out of the changing rooms, Rael stepped in. This was a game she looked forward to. Even though Charon was in Ravenclaw, she did not care. She wanted to play the game because it meant she was able to get out of the Gryffindor tower without feeling as though she were being constantly watched. In the castle that was the way it seemed, no matter where a person was it felt like eyes were on you. At least on the pitch there was a reason for the feeling of eyes on you.
Rael moved toward her locker and pulled out her robes. She stared at them for a moment before she put them on, then sat down to re-lace her shoes. For some reason she felt really somber even though she had been looking forward to the game. It was most likely because of the team they were playing. Ravenclaw. They were really good this year, and it was going to be a good game. Rael quickly sat up and pulled her hair back, ready to walk onto the pitch.

Allegra had been so focused on painting Aston's face that she didn't notice Kellen had come in until she heard his locker slam open. Just the look on his face told her he was angry and while she had decided she wasn't going to fall for silly rumors anymore or act like she believed the gossip, she knew she had to apologize to him.
"Kellen?" she started softly, going up so she was right behind him. "I'm sorry about last night. I over reacted. You guys were right. I'm so sorry."

Kellen fumbled with his wrist guard as Allegra spoke, not really looking at her. He wasn't sure what to do--he was still angry. Not at her--well, maybe a little, but not fairly at her--but mad that when he'd suggested a team building activity, people rejected it straight out, but now that it was coming from somebody else, everybody loved it. Mad that he couldn't figure out why it had been rejected. Mad that nobody could take a joke, or a not-joke. Mad at Lily for giving in today, mad at himself that he'd given in the day before. And mad that he couldn't just get over it all.
He was confused. Part of him said what he should do--he should accept the apology, insist that he'd been in the wrong (or at least, compromise), smile and go out and play their match. But he wasn't ready to do that just yet.
He sighed and mumbled, "I've got to get ready for the match." If he could just focus his emotions on the pitch, nothing would get past him today. But if he let himself get scattered before the match, who knows what would happen. But the coldness of his comment struck even him. "Look, we'll talk after, okay?" he said in a softer tone, trying to excuse what he'd said. "I've got to concentrate or I'll get all scattered."

Scott was a bit relieved Allegra had given him hair-dye. While he'd colored his hair on his own to get a smile from Lily, he hadn't really wanted to go in front of the entire school with his hair dyed the way it was. It would mean he'd really be noticed, and although he didn't mind being noticed, he didn't want to be noticeable if he did something to botch the game. he poured a bit of the blue liquid in his hair and rubbed it in. When he'd rubbed the majority of it in, he passed the bottle off to Drew, but not until after he'd poured a bit in Lily's hair.
When he'd finished he pulled out his wand and muttered "Scourgify." Even if his hair was blue, that didn't mean his hands had to be. he hoped the dye that was already in his hair wouldn't mess with the results of the new hair dye.

Lily reached her hands up and vigirously rubbed it in her long curls. She gave a smile at Scott before turning to Kellen. "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have gone off and ditched you like that." And then under her breath she added, "It's my fault they rejected the idea, not yours Kellen." She went back to making sure her broom and everything was ready.

Kellen raised an eyebrow at Lily. Is that really what she thought? That it was her fault? Kellen sighed. "Listen, thanks, guys, but I just want to get ready for the match, okay?" He finished putting on his wrist guard and crossed to the other side of the locker room. He didn't want to talk, he just wanted to focus.

Deryn was still sitting on the bench as Gryffindors came and went out of the dressing rooms. Rubbing the back of her head, Deryn sighed. She could still feel the bump from the game where the Bludger had nearly killed her. She was so angry at herself for not being more aware during the game. It was the reason they had lost too. Shaking her head in disgust at herself, she nodded at Anna, instead of saying hello, and followed Corey out of the dressing rooms.
Out on the pitch, there seemed to be only Corey out there. Mounting her broom, Deryn shot off into the air and circled the pitch a few times, before coming to a stop behind the Gryffindor goals. She circled them, trying to get back in the grove of flying after her minor accident. Hopefully this game would be less painful than the last one.

Even though he wasn't on the team, William felt it his duty to go down and cheer on Ravenclaw anyway. He knew he shouldn't be there, but William found his way to the Ravenclaw dressing room. He saw they were passing around the hair dye, and William's eye widened. He had totally forgotten about that! He was indeed going to shave his head, but just never had the time, or enough nerve. Poking his head into the dressing room, he called out to the team. "Good luck today, Ravens!" he said cheerfully, "Can I bum the hair dye? I was going to shave my head, but my mother would kill me."

Taryn was as nervous as... Well, as anything. The first-year had suited up into an outfit that was only slightly too big for her in complete silence. Originally, she had been excited to be an alternate for the team, but now she only wanted all of the players to show up and be in perfect condition. If having bright blue hair counted as being 'in perfect condition,' of course. Taryn reached up and touched her blonde waves in a combination of self-conciousness and fear. She couldn't imagine actually dying her hair blue.
Please let them all be here, she thought to herself as she sat down, fingers crossed. Please, please, please. If they asked her to sub in, Taryn was beginning to feel that she would come down with a sudden case of lunch-on-the-lawn.

Drew took the blue dye from Scott and poured a liberal amount in his hair. He was no stranger to having his hair dyed and was mostly glad that it was a color he liked for once. Alhana did tend to insist on pink a lot.
He rubbed it in vigorously, allowing his hair to stick up on end every which way, before passing the bottle off to William.

Arianna stepped into the locker room looking slightly harassed and a little excited about something. She hurried to Aston, ruffling his hair as she thanked him for being so willing to take her place but that she felt she could play just fine today.
"Those Ministry people are such pains," the girl grumbled good-naturedly. Setting a curious little package down (which looked as though it had been searched), Arianna opened her locker and started to pull on her gear.
