The sign had finally been extinguished. It sounded stupid, especially since it was just a sign, although Ash felt her heart melting, both in anger and sadness. She would hunt down whoever did this, she would! Her eyes were locked on the ruined sign. Who would ever do this? She didn't expect a Hufflepuff to be this mean... unless it was Ivy although she doubted Ivy even knew what the name of the fire charm was.
Ash noticed Dean approaching her. She wiped away the small tears, that had rested calmly on her cheeks, away quickly. Sniffling she replied, " Hi..." she drew in a deep breath and wondered what she would do with a partially burnt down sign.

Dean noticed the small tears and his brow furrowed, he asked, " What's wrong? " He didn't put one and one together, thinking that the poster had nothing to do with it. He picked up the sign to see that it was only burn partially on one side, so he offered, " I can fix it, if you want. " With a slight nod of his head. He offered her a smile, wanting to chear her up now.

" Really?" she asked with a little excitement hidden in her voice. She really hoped that he could fix it although on the other hand she didn't like depending on others. Aih, you don't know how to fix it, so just let him, she thought. Ash had never heard of a spell to repair a burnt object, perhaps it was new?

Lauren grinned slightly at the girl. She tried so hard to hold back from laughing when her sign caught slightly on fire. Perhaps over there was someplace she should be, the girl seemed to be a riot. But maybe not.
She saw Dean take a seat on the other side of Ash, perhaps they were friends.

" I don't think it being burnt will matter... " He muttered to himself, pulling his wand out of his pocket and muttering the spell under his breath. The sign was fixed, the only noticable thing wrong with it was the fact that where it had been burnt it was a little darker in shade than the rest of the sign. " Alright. " He said, looking at the sign with a slight nod.
(( caught slightly on fire? lol ))

" Thank you so much." she said bowing for some reason. She just felt she had to, it was strange. Ash glanced at her sign, it was almost as it was before although just a little darker. She ran her hand across the surface of the cardboard.
She turned back to the others, " Are you two rooting for Ravenclaw then?" she asked pleasantly.

Allegra heard her name and pulled her broom back, hovering until Ari caught up to her. One look at her Ravensister and she could tell what the problem was. Why hadn't they noticed this during practice?
"I have a clip!" she called out, reaching for the barrette that held the back of her hair up off of her neck. Having Ari's hair out of her eyes was much more important than keeping it off of her own neck. "Or we can tie it up with a ribbon?"

Talia saw everyone around her either just walk away, or kick off into the air. She shrugged and mounted her broom, pushing off into the air. It obviously wasn't game time yet, but she wanted to get a bit more feel of having more weight on one side than the other. She was ambidextrous, but her right hand still felt better with the bat, and she wanted to win, so decided using her right hand would be best in this match.

Krissy finally reached Ari and Allegra and heard the small end part of what Allegra had said. Unfortunately she didn't have anything that could help. "Hey" Krissy said to them with a small smile. She hadn't heard what Mike had said earlier or she would have immeditely appologised for him about it. "I just wanted to wish ya's both good luck in the game, kay?" Krissy said to her two friends with a smile on her face.

"You too Krissy! I'm looking forward to a really good game!" Allegra called back as she held the clip out for Ari. She didn't mention Mike's unsportsmanlike comment. It wasn't Krissy's fault the guy was a butt-head.

Flora looked around the stands to try and find any other people who she might know because she was getting kind of lonly. Turning her head in all directions she finally managed to spot Sarsha. Another fellow Huffle that was in her year. "Sarsha! Over here!" she called out going over to her. See seemed to be staring at something or someone, but what Flora had no clue. "Vat are you looking at?" she asked curiously.

"Thank you, Krissy!" Arianna grinned at the girl. At least it wasn't a rivalry full of hate.
Turning back to Allegra, the girl took the offered clip and attempted to pull her hair back. It helped a little, but she still had strands falling in front of her eyes. It would be okay for a bit, but what if it didn't hold?

"Do you want to try a ribbon?" Allegra asked, thinking they could tie it up like a headband to hold the smaller strands back. Of course it would probably just fall off while she was flying and then they'd be back to square one. Maybe the ribbon and the clip?

Glacing at his watch once more, Ryder saw that it was time. The clouds were still holding back, which was good, but had moved their way a bit. Maybe the rain would come fast than he thought. He needn't worry about that now. There was a game to start.
Blasting his whistle, the man waiting for the teams to converge around him.
"You know the rules," he told them gruffly. "Play nice, play fair, and have a good time."
With that, he blew his whistle once more and released the balls, following the teams up on his own broom.

Pat thanked Talia and Alexis for congratulating him on getting co-captain. Mike's reaction disconcerted him a little, though; perhaps he should talk with him later on, after the match. For now though, there was no time; he heard Hailey's whistle, calling them to the center of the pitch.
He flew over, landing not too far from everyone else. He saw Ari nearby; she was going to be his competition in this match. She was his friend, but he wasn't going to let up just because of that. Still, he smiled wide at her, as a way of saying good luck; he certainly wished her the best.
As Hailey blew his whistle once more, Pat set off into the air, his silver hair blowing every which way in the wind, a smirk on his face. He immediately set around the pitch, looking for the Snitch. Ari would be a tough opponent, but Pat was ready, and he was determined to catch it.
