Cats upon cats upon cats. One more 'meow' and Bloxam was going to venture into Chinese culture and give one a roast. The fact that he was allergic was beyond the point. They were noisy little flee-balls when confined in one room together. That and not all of them seemed to get along.
There were pink ones, purple ones, ones that coats randomly changed color. Bushy ones, scrawny ones, fluffy and and tawny ones. Kittens that looked as if they were just now old enough to be wandering around on their own and others that looked as if they should be put out of their misery... which the Slytherin Head of House was very much tempted to do.
But again, he reminded himself why he was here; for the money. Each one of those little dollar signs that walked through his door had the potential to become larger dollar signs if they did well on their O.W.Ls next year and even larger ones if they passed their N.E.W.T.s. He could ask for that raise. Doubt his little lover girl would give it to him, but it was worth the shot.
This gave him reason to smile. Even more so than when the occasional cat gave a screech whenever they came to close to the open door and were repelled back wards.
Ah, he could smell the galleons now.

Jack made his way to the Transfiguration classroom to find a strange sight that meet his eyes. As he went to get through the door he saw a cat approach it and wondered what on earth a cat was doing in the classroom, but he just assumed that it was one of the students that had been wandering. He couldn't see how wrong he was yet and had no idea that there were many more in the actual room. He watched as the cat came closer and then when flying back. Thinking that that was weird he made his way closer to the door and walked into the classroom still looking at the cat that was sent backwards. When he walked into the room he immediately noticed that there was cats all over the place and that the cat he had been watching was just one of many.
Saying a quick hello to the Professor he made his way to a seat about midway in the room. He had to remove a purple one from his chair before he sat down and got his things out for the class.

Verina hadn't been expecting to find cats every which place in their Transfiguration classroom. Her eyes brightened as she entered to find not just a few cats but cats everywhere of every type imaginable. She just wanted to give them all a squezze because of how cute they looked.
She smiled as she saw Jack and tried to navigate around the cats in the end she ended up playing a game of hop scotch. Verina stopped as a little kitten sat in her way and reached down and picked it up. She was slightly surprised when it changed color but she only smiled and carried it in her arms until she sat down in the seat next to Jack.
"You know your being a very bad influence on me," Verina said to Jack as she gave him a brilliant smile before placing the little kitten atop her desk and scratching it under the chin it was the cutest little thing she'd ever seen.

"Hey." Jack said was he watched Verina navigate her way around the room, pick up one of the kittens, and sit down next to him. He had been a bit surprised that she was the second student there because normally she didn't arrive this early. "Bad influence?" he asked a little puzzled wondering what she meant. Then cottoning on he realized that she must be talking about the whole arrive early for class thing. "I can't help it. I'm just a punctual guy." he said with a grin, "And apparently I've been rubbing off on you. I thought you were going to help me break this habit?" Then looking at the kitten who’s ears she was scratching said, “No stealing the little fur ball.” It was adorable and if he didn’t know better he would bet that half the class would be wanting to take one home before the end of the lesson.

"And i thought it was just because you couldn't wait to learn more," she said slightly teasing him as she scratched the little kitten, "After all you are a Raven," Verina smiled as she looked at him, "Yes. I was no am. Just gotta think of something to distract you with so your not the first to every lesson," she said taking on a mischevious smile as she raised the little kitten to her nose and gave it an eskimo kiss before taking on a slight pout at Jack's words, "But he's so cute and i've never had a kittie," Verina said as she raised the kitten so it was looking at Jack.

"Yes that too." Jack said with a laugh, "Raven through and through." He hadn't really been early because he was overly excited to learn move about the class nope it was just an unfortunate habit of his. He smiled as a mischievous grin came over her face and said, "Good luck with that." He didn't have a clue what kind of a distraction she was thinking of or if she had one in mind, but he knew it had to be a good one to get him to not show up to class early. He was a little anal retentive when it came to being on time, though he had actually been late to a class but that was when he had stopped to help Lilly in corridor when she had hit her head.
There was the pout face again and it did nothing to stop his smile from widening. "Well it's not me that you'll have to get it past." Jack said thinking that there was no way that Bloxam would allow for a kitten to go missing, but then again he really didn't know too much about him so maybe it was something that he would do. As she raised the cat so that it was looking at him he grinned and scratched it's ears. He had to admit it was really cute.

Lauren could smell cat fur before she walked through the door. How many times was she going to see cats, other than the pets, at Hogwarts and in class? Where did they get all these cats and what did they do to them. It's not that Lauren didn't like cats, but it was almost silly. And only too soon did she see not one or two, but a bundle of kittens around the classroom.
Were they going to be turning these cats into something else; that would be interesting.

"Yes you are," She laughed slightly at his comment grinning as she looked at him, "As i am a Gryffindor all the way. Gotta show house pride now don't we," she said with a wink, "Thanks. And i'm sure i'll think of something to break this little... well big habit of yours." Verina knew that something would come to her at some random moment was usually when things did and if it so happened to be before a lesson she'd find him.
Verina didn't really think that their professor would let her take the little kitten but that didn't stop her from wanting it, "I know," she said with a slight frown as she looked at the little kitten, "I suppose i could always get one."

"Ya you are a Gryffindor alright." Jack said smiling. He meant nothing by it and was just agreeing with her. "I guess we do need to show house pride, but you should really try to be more Ravenclaw. After all they are the best house." Jack joked. He really didn't think that Ravens were any better than Gryffies but he loved giving her a hard time and knew she loved it to (( )). "I'm sure you will." he said catching that she had referred to it as a big problem of his. Well it was kind of a big problem. He had managed to be one of the first three to almost every class since he had come to Hogwarts as a first year. "Will have to see what we can do." Jack said an evil grin flickering on his face. He thought that there would have to be a way to smuggle one of the kittens out of the classroom when Bloxam wasn't looking and if she want on bad enough it was worth a shot. “I’m sure there is a way to get the kitten out of here.”

She only grinned when Jack agreed with her up until the next statement he made. She knew he was messing with her but then when didn't he but that didn't stop her from taking on a look of shock (( )) "We both know that Gryffindor is the best house by far and why would i want to be more Raven their always the first to class," Verina replied teasing in return and only grinned at his next comment. Verina brightened as he said they'd have to do something about that and turned to face him in her seat, "We will," she said her eyes taking on a hint of mischief, "Now what would make you do oh so un Raven like behavior?" Verina asked with a grin meeting his eyes.

Jack laughed and decided to leave that agruement alone for now until she brought up the being first to class part. "Well then you're already acting more Ravenclaw like because you were second." he joked.
"Who said Ravenclaws didn't scheme?" Jack said with a laugh. He would do it because she wanted one and she was his girlfriend, after all, so whatever she wanted he would try and do, but he wasn't going to tell her this. "We may look brainy and innocent, but there's another side to us." he continued with a grin, "We are excellent schemers. We just don't get caught so no one really know." He was laughing again by the time he was done.

Verina wasn't sure what to say to that she would have crossed her arms but she was holding the kitty, "That may be true but i wasn't first that's way worse and i'm only second because you are being a bad influence," she said as she placed the kitten on her lap and smiled. It seemed he usually ended up winning these little 'disputes' they had.
"Oh i never said they didn't," she said with a smile, "I don't know about the rest of the Ravens but i do know about the one sitting in front of me. And i know for a fact that he is far from being considered innocent," Verina said amusement in her voice.

He had to give it to her there. Being first to class was worse then second and ya he probably had rubbed off on her and that was why she was becoming earlier and earlier to each class, but what could he say to that. There was no way to deny it so he just said, "Now we both have a bad habit that needs to be broken."
"Not innocent?" he asked with a smirk, his eyebrow raised. How could she think he wasn't innocent. Ok so he had run off to Germany without his parents permission, been out of bed after hours, and was planning a kitten napping, all of which she had witnessed. But did that make him not innocent? The honest answer was probably, but why admit it.

"Yes we do," she said as she laughed slightly, "Though for me its far easier to break since you being an influnce on me has only been recently. Watch you'll see come next lesson," Verina grinned since she knew it would be far harder for Jack than it would be for her just to take her time getting to class.
"Yes not innocent and don't play dumb with me," she said with a smile and raised one of her eyebrows as well, "I think i know you well enough to know considering..." Verina said intentionly leaving unsaid all the things they'd done together and planned to do after all she didn't need anybody else knowing about it. If someone found out they were likely to get caught and the whole point was not to get caught.

"Will see." Jack said with a smile. He knew it would be easier for her to get to class later. He on the other hand was going to have to try a little harder, but he would do it just to prove a point that he could. He wouldn't be late by any means. No that just wouldn't work for him, but he would be later than usual.
Jack knew exactly what she was making reference to and he too wasn't going to voice any of the things that they had done. The last thing that he needed was for someone to get wind of it and cause problems for them."Me play dumb? Never." he said snickering, "Though it would seem that you know me too well." He knew that he was contridicting himself, but oh well.
