"You can close it," she replied about his comment about the window. Although it'd taken her a while to get it open, and even then she had to ask Lucas to open it for her, Drew could close it if he wanted. On the other hand, she was sure he was actually doing what she hoped he was. But unfortunately, it wasn't working too well on her, the way he was going about it.
Leaning back into the cushions, she smiled a bit contentedly. She was in arms reach, he could just say it, but he chose to make it hard on himself. Why? "Unless you're getting at something else."

Okay, this really wasn't working. How did he manage to screw things up so badly? He thought his hints were big enough, and she started off by sliding closer, but now, nothing. Maybe she really didn't want to sit that close to him? He took a shower so he didn't think he stank or anything. The kissing part had been nice, but now he was rethinking that too.
Not knowing what else to do, he got up to shut the window. He could feel the Autumn wind hitting his face and it did feel nice, but he knew that before long, it would turn the room into an icebox. He pulled it closed, finding it stuck at the very end, not wanting to shut completely. He yanked harder and it still wouldn't latch. He tried again and still no luck. He finally put all of his weight into it and slammed the window closed... only to have the glass shatter at the impact.
Great.

He hadn't been trying to get her to move closer, he was actually just saying that he was cold. Hanging her head as he got up, she didn't even bother with looking at him. He didn't want her to move closer, easily remedied. As he was trying to get the window to shut, she slid back down to the other end where she'd been before, only even closer to the end, and pulled her knees up to her chin. Comfortable, that's what the position was, it wasn't because she was disappointed or angry at herself, it was because it was comfortable.
Losing herself in thoughts, she began to wonder if him kissing her hadn't been what she thought it to be. Maybe he'd only done it because he was reading her, maybe he hadn't really wanted to at all. After all, they were just friends, right? What friends actually kissed? None she knew of, not even in the movies. Well, that wasn't entirely true, there were friends in movies that kissed, but they were different kind of friends, weren't they? Beneficial ones? At that thought, she became horrified. She was not going to be a beneficial friend to anyone. And how dare he think she would be?
Pulling into herself even tighter, she jumped right off the couch when she heard the window shatter. Her blonde head whipped right up and stared at it. Now he had to go around breaking things in the office? Why?
"Don't move," she said shortly, not even remembering he had his wand on him and could easily fix it. Rather, she was a bit upset at thinking he would think she'd be like that. Yes, she had wanted him to kiss her, but not like that. Not to that kind of degree. She wanted him to kiss her because he wanted to, because he didn't want to be just friends. She was ridiculous in thinking he would want to be more than friends, it was the water. He'd been drinking too much of it, every single guy she knew had drank too much of the water. Even Lucas, and he had hardly been there very long.
"Are you all right?" she inquired quietly as she dropped to her knees to sweep some glass out of the way. Felicity didn't want to look at him, she was too angry in thinking what she was to. Instead, she kept her head bowed and tried to fight back the tears that were quickly developing and threatening to escape.

Drew stood where he was as Felicity rushed to clean up the mess he made. His eyes went back and forth between the broken glass and the red slice across his palm as he waited for the freak out to come on. He let the blood drip over his hand and let it run across his fingers but still, no crying, no paranoia, nothing. It was just a sliced hand.
It made no sense. Random things like noise makers and squirrels started the panic (though he noticed Sammy had not. Perhaps it was a one shot deal for panic attacks) but concrete connections did not. He found it kind of strange.
"I don't know..." he answered slowly, still looking at the cut on his hand curiously. He probably wouldn't be able to write or hold a wand properly until it was healed.

"Either you are or you aren't..." she trailed off, her tone going from anger to worry when she saw his hand. Another injury in the office? Wasn't one enough? Thankfully she really did put that first-aid kit in there, but she hadn't thought she'd be using it twice in less than a week.
"Come on," she said carefully as she grabbed his other arm to steer him to the couch they'd been sitting at. The broken glass would have to wait, right now she was concerned about the Ravenclaw in her presence. Cold or not, she was going to be treating his hand. "Just stay put for a moment."
Leaving him there on the couch, she took off in search of the kit, just where had she put it? It had to be somewhere near where it'd last been used, right? Taking a moment to sift through a few things, she found it and quickly made her way back to the boy, kneeling on the floor in front of him.
The kit wasn't much, but it had bare necessities in it and would surely do for a cut hand, at least until it could get better care. "You aren't allergic to anything, are you?" she questioned as she gently pulled his hand towards her and began tilting it about to make sure there wasn't any glass stuck in his flesh. Her kit was of muggle-making, not as good as magical, but it did well enough for situations and would have to do for this.

Drew let himself be led back to the sofa, not quite sure why she seemed to be snapping at him now, but when she came back with her first aid kit whatever it had been must have been pushed aside.
He looked at his hand curiously, almost trying to force the panic attack that didn't want to come. Maybe that was a good thing. He doubted it meant that he was done with the freak-outs, but he kind of hoped this was a sign that he wouldn't break down in the middle of a battle or something.
"Asphodel," he answered her, even though he knew a Muggle kit wouldn't use it. "And kiwi. The fruit, not the animal."

"Neither of which are in my possession," she smiled a bit ruefully at him. Asphodel was more what she'd been leaning toward, but kiwi? It'd been a bit randomly thrown in, but she'd remember that. Not seeing anything after a very careful and thorough inspection, she opened the kit and pulled out what she'd need over the next few moments. Not much, the cut wasn't terribly deep, but it was more than a scratch.
Cleaning it out, she focused her eyes on his hand, not him. The thoughts were still with her, but she was too concerned about his injury to be concerned about hers. Yes, she hurt, but this was something that was to be put in front of her. Finishing with the cleaning, she gently painted it and pulled out a bandage, which was rather boring, but was needed. After a moment's hesitation, having bandaged his hand up, she decided it needed a bit more flare. Pulling out a band-aid, she placed it on his plain, ordinary, boring old bandage. It was a fun one, something she was used to having around because of her nieces and nephews like of fun band-aids.
She actually had two choices, both cartoon characters. There were X-Men and Scooby Doo, well, she opted for the latter. It seemed more Drew-ish, and she didn't bother wondering why she had characterized band-aids, it was probably yet another going away present from her loved ones.
Pressing down lightly to make sure the bandaid would stick over the bandage, she finally let her brown eyes find his blue and instantly she began kicking herself for thinking what she had. He wouldn't do that. "I'm sorry," she mumbled quietly, not letting go of his hand.

He sat still while she worked, slightly tense and trying not to flinch too much. He never did well with injuries, which was surprising. You'd think that with as many as he'd had, he'd take the tending to them in stride.
By the time she was bandaging his hand he was biting on his lip, looking worriedly at the injury as if expecting his fingers to fall off. It showed a great deal of trust in the Gryffindor. With most nurses, he would have been screaming bloody murder by now. Of course, most nurses didn't have the smarts to ask if he was allergic to anything either.
Most nurses didn't have Scooby-Doo band-aids either and he laughed a little as she placed it on the bandage only wincing a little when she pressed down on his hand. "It didn't really hurt that much," he answered sheepishly, hoping she didn't think he was being a baby over a stupid cut hand.

Smiling a little, she began cleaning up the mess she'd made from everything being pulled out of the kit. At least he hadn't thrown a fit about her mess of a job, but she hadn't ever really had to take care of injuries unless they were minor things her nephews and nieces had gotten. No, he hadn't seemed to pick up on what her apology was for, but it was all right. She'd try again, in a bit.
Having everything taken care of, she slid into the seat next to him; this time sitting right up against him. Gently taking up his injured hand, she kissed it and let his hand go again. An injury only ever healed with a sealed kiss right? So, she'd done her part.
Leaning against him, she slid her arms around him and clasped her hands together on the other side of him. She shouldn't have thought he wasn't playing, most likely he was. Perhaps he really had wanted her to sit closer to him, she could only hope, right?
"Drew, I'm sorry," she again apologized quietly. "I was just confused again." Merlin, she really wasn't good at this. She hadn't ever been in such a situation before and didn't have the faintest of clues what she was doing. If he wanted her to do something, he was going to have to be a bit more forward with her.

"All better," Drwe told her with a wide grin when she kissed his hand. He wasn't exactly sure what she was confused over, but he figured she was apologizing for the earlier snapping. It didn't bother him now, especially since she had her arms around him.
He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head, figuring he had better ask so it didn't happen again. "So, what did I do this time to confuse you?" he asked with a crooked smile, knowing it had to have been his fault.

Frowning a bit, she wasn't sure how to tell him. He'd just confused her. "Well, I thought you wanted me to move closer to you, but then you kept going on about the cold. So, I thought that you were really just cold," she explained. "I mean, I was closer to you, but you didn't say that you actually wanted me closer."
It was confusing to her. Felicity wasn't very well-aware of how to play, with time she was sure she could catch on, but she just didn't know how to right then. "But since you kept saying you were cold, I didn't think you were actually trying to get me to move closer." Tilting her head so she could see him, she knitted her eyebrows, worried he was going to be mad at her for not being able to keep up in playing. "I'm not sure how to do that kind of stuff very well. And I wasn't sure what you were getting at."

"I was being stupid is what," Drew answered, rolling his eyes. He had been trying to be all slick and it obviously didn't work for him. "I'm sorry. I did want you sitting close to me, but I was just playing around. I don't know why. I should have just told you Come here woman! and been done with it, right?"
Merlin, he hoped she knew he was teasing about the woman part...

Giggling, she lost the slight frown and smiled at him. He had been trying to do what she thought, he'd just done it in a way she hadn't understood. Well, next time hopefully she'd know, right? Snuggling closer into him, as he had said he'd wanted her close to him, she leaned in a little and kissed his cheek before pulling back and smiling again.
"You could've said something like that," she teased. "Or you could've done one of those patting the seat next to you things." At this thought she laughed a little, it always looked so ridiculous on television, but at least it had one meaning, get over here. "And I would've moved closer, you know."
The blonde wasn't going to lie, any chance she had to be closer to him, she'd take. Felicity liked the comfort she got when he put his arms around her, is was more than nice.

"I'll make a note of it," Drew told her, grinning at the kiss. the butterflies in his stomach had been taking it easy but suddenly started up again. "Making demands and patting seats... good. Discussing the weather... bad."
He freed one of his hands from her and gently played with her hair, finding the blonde curls seh wore to be incredibly facinating. "So, now that that's settled, I have a question for you," he said carefully.

"Mmmhmm," she agreed teasingly. It didn't seem talking about the weather was a good topic for them. Note taken, stay away from weather. When he began playing with her hair again she grinned shyly at him. The curls weren't what she was used to, the straight hair being much more familiar, but she did like that he'd taken good note of the difference. And she liked that he seemed to like them, Jax and Celina had done a good job on inisisting on the curls.
"What's that?" she asked, not sure why he sounded the way he did about it. Pulling her hands apart, she moved in a little closer to him as she tilted her head more so she could still see his face while he asked her whatever his question happened to be.
