Lauren surround herself with metal, silver, bronze, gold, ribbons, and plaques. She had yet to wonder to this part of the castle, and she'd been almost everywhere already. It showed how patheticly lazy she was being, that in the time she'd been there, she hadn't seen the entire castle. But she enjoyed taking her time.
She wasn't really interested in seeing what a bunch of other people accomplished, but searched for what she could do and accomplish, if she felt like it.
Tucking her red hair behind her ears, she sighed. Already boredom was arising.
((Not closed but saved a tiny bit.))

Patrick entered the Trophy Room, looking around at all of the awards that lined the walls. He had never seen reason to enter this room, but felt that a trip would be a least a little interesting. He raised a gloved hand toward one of the awards, intending to examine it a little closer, when he heard a sigh.
Looking around, he saw a red-haired girl not far from him. He remembered her face a little from classes, and knew that she was in his year, but a name escaped him. Turning toward her, he extended a hand and introduced himself. "Hello there. I'm Patrick. May I have the pleasure of knowing who you are?"

Lauren didn't feel anyone else around her. Most of the time she could sense that kind of thing. When a boy started talking to her, she was startled. Turning around, she looked at him. My age, she decided.Little sneak, she added.
"No," she said, looking at his hand. Hey, Lauren. Don't by rude. You've been here for a while and your only friend, or closest thing to, is Nic. *slap*Now introduce yourself. She could hear her step-mother talking to her. The little voice in her head just so happened to sound exactly like her step-mom. The only annoying thing about her.
"Sorry," she sighed. "I'm Lauren Stone, Slytherin," Lauren said with pride. "You?"

Patrick was a little put off when the redhead almost didn't introduce herself, but she did after a moment, as Lauren, a Slytherin. She hadn't taken his hand though, so he lowered it to his side. "I'm in Hufflepuff, a third year," he said in answer to her question. Looking more closely at her, Pat was sure that they shared some classes. "Am I right in thinking that you're in my year?" he asked Lauren.

Lauren noticed he put his hand down, and only grinned. She giggled inwardly at knowing the feeling of that type of awkwardness. Though, she still didn't offer her hand.
"You're correct, Patrick," she said, recalling his name. She walked along side of the trophies cases. Finding a sitting area, three chairs, in a little indention on the wall, infront of a large tropy case, Lauren sat in one of the chairs.
"What brings you here?"

Patrick followed Lauren over to the chairs and watched her sit down. Even so, he remained standing, so that they could stay facing each other. When Lauren asked what he was doing there, he answered. "Odd. I was about to ask you that same question. A mix of boredom, not wanting to do work, and the fact that I've never checked out the Trophy Room before. Now I'll ask you the same: What brings you here to the Trophy Room?"

Lauren watched how he had not sat down. Crossing her legs, she leaned her head back on the wall behind her. Listening to his answer, she rolled her eyes.
"Ugh, the same. Unfortunately," she said. Boring, she thought. Let's spice up this conversation boy.

Pat thought about Lauren's answer; she seemed just as bored as he was. "Let's see," Pat thought, "what can I say or do to get rid of both of our lethargies..." Pat thought for a second, then an idea hit him; it was kinda random, but a dose of randomness was perfect for getting rid of boredom. Sitting down next to Lauren, he voiced a proposition. "Hey, Lauren, was it? How does playing a little game sound to you?"

Lauren's eyes followed Pat to his seat. He looked like he'd been thinking up something, which is what Lauren wanted. She had been the conversation starter before and it wasn't fun, especially since she wasn't to good at it.
"Hey, Lauren, was it? How does playing a little game sound to you?" She heard him say, raising an eyebrow. Games? What did he have in mind, duck duck goose? She questioned herself, thinking back on a pointless muggle game he'd play with his dad all the time, though he told her it was much more fun with more people, though her step-mom never played it.
"Like what?"

'Like what?' Lauren had asked. Pat grinned to himself, and shuffled around his robes, looking for something. "Let's see..." he muttered to himself. "Spare quill... Parchment... Dungbombs? I thought I used those... Ah! Here we are!" At this, he pulled out a deck of Exploding Snap cards. "Lauren," he said as he removed the deck for its box and held them up, "I'm assume you know what these are?"

"What are you? An infomercial?" Lauren question, referring to a muggle program where all they did was advertise a product. Sighing, "Yes," she said a tad softer, realizing she was a bit rude, not that she cared, but there was nothing better at the moment then talk to Patrick.
"What of 'em?"
