"Of course I'll teach you. And to answer your other question. You have to learn to ride a broom. I wasn't good at it until I had some training from a friend of mine. Patrick Nollet, you'll like him. He's a silver-haired Hufflepuff prefect. Well, he's the only silver-haired kid in the whole school," he told him. He then trying to remember something else about it.
"Long ago, first years weren't allowed to play. Then again, Harry Potter did for some reason. Reasons unknown. Anyways, anyone can play Quidditch. Keagan is probably going to make the Quidditch Team of our house practice harder than before. We will need it. I want to win atleast two games this year," he said. It was about to time for that too.

Jethro was very happy indeed. The boy was finding out more and more things about Hogwarts that would be vital to know, and this Quidditch stuff sounded extra cool. "That'd be mega cool, thanks!" Jet said grinning and looking eager eyes to Tristan, this boy was full of surprises, and facts as well. "I don't think I've seen a guy with silver hair, but I'll probably manage to see him some time," the firstie said looking up to Tristan. "So allot of stuff has changed because of Harry Potter then, thats cool."
"Ah well, since I've never ridden a broom, I'd say I'll give the team a miss, and go along to watch the games instead. How many games are there in a year?" Jethro then said, smiling and glancing outside, the sun was sinking lower now, Merlin knows how long to two had been talking.

"Yeah, if your not used to the game plan. You might wanna step out this year and learn a little from the games," he said to Jethro. Then remembering him asking Tristan about the games,"..and oh, the games? Well they are six games you will watch. Three games per team. We ALMOST won agaisnt Slytherin. I was injured during the second game. And the third, I was sort of kicked off for not showing up for practice," he said looking at him seriously.
"Always. Show. Up. For. Practice." he said.

Jet nodded again, with a grin. "Yep, thats the plan." he said with a lighter tone. "Six? Sounds good, so with watching and practicing the game I'm sure to learn fast..." he said softly, looking down at the ground and concertinaing. "Slytherin is the Green house, right? And that would suck, being injured and all." a light smirk appeared on his face, despite Tristan's warming. "I'll take your word for that," Jet said, attempting to grin again. He couldn't help but think that Tristan was a great role model; the older boy was prefect, and at of a great house, he was cool, smart and caused some trouble now and then, and that was the sort of path Jet wanted to take when he was older.

"It is quite easy to play the game. It's only hard if you don't know how to ride a broom correctly," he said nodding. He remembered when he first rode a broom and he crashed into a tree. Painful, he went to the hospital but it was never recorded in his timeline and probably won't ever. "And yeah, Slytherin the green house. Gryffindor and Slytherin have a bit of a, uh, house rivarly. I like some people in Slytherin but not all. A lot of them are mean. Hufflepuff, is the yellow house as you could tell. My second favorite house,"
"Hufflepuff are those crazy party people, but they are hardcore. And Ravenclaw, those smart birds. But they are cool. Almost everyone in every house is cool with me except for some in Slytherin," he told him. He didn't hate the Slytherin house but most of them in it he didn't like. But he did like everyone in Slytherin in his year.

Jethro listened contently to what Tristan was saying. "Well then, I'd say I'll need to learn how to ride a broom then." the boy said with a sheepish grin, looking from the ground to Tristan. "Ohh, i get it." Jet said with a wink, before adding "Yeah Hufflepuff is heaps cool - but not better than Gryffindor of course." Jethro said, making sure Tristan knew that he did love his house, it was one of the best families he had ever had. "So if Sytherins can be sorta mean, Hufflepuffs are crazy and Ravenclaws are smart, what is Gryffindor known for?" he said with a hint of eagerness in his voice.

"Loving, as I heard. We can be sorta crazy, and we are smart. To me, more like a mix, ya know?" he told the boy smiling. Tristan really didn't know because he has just been himself in Gryffindor and he really didn't know what to say. "And a broom? It's easy. You'll learn from the new Quidditch Referee this year," he told him. Bad memories came upon him when he remembered what happen to him that day when he FIRST started the Flying Broom lessons.

Jethro grinned, actually he beamed. It was heart-warming to know that Gryffindor was know for those sorts of things, and he was terribly proud of being a new member to the House. "Awesome..." the young boy said, looking to the trophy case behind Tristan and still grinning. "But the Referee doesn't teach you to play Quidid.. Quittid... Quidditch, do they?" he said with a curious look passing over his face.
This year was going to be better than the boy thought. Learning to play Quidditch with Tristan, a good year with new friends, he'd be able to spend time with Summer, and most of all he had a great house to come back to. It was probably the best thing that ever happened to him.

He chuckled. "Of course, she will teach you to play Quidditch. Usually you guys will able to play a game. It's fun. But I couldn't do it. I wasn't good on a broom," he told Jethro. Tristan was indeed the worst broom rider in his first year. But now Tristan was good at it. He gazed around as he usually does and then set his eyes back on Jethro. "So, you have a crush on anyone here already?" he asked the boy smiling.
Tristan always liked asking this to the new first years.

Jethro grinned. "Oh," he said in a light laugh. "That'll be cool then." he said with a grin on his face. The boy couldn't wait until he was able to ride a broom, and play Quidditch, and use spells and charms and stuff. Tristan's question stuck him unexpected however. "Er..." he said, actually thinking about what he should say. The boy stuffed his hands into his pockets and lent back on the wall behind him.
"Sorta..." he said in a strong enough voice, before looking up to Tristan, his face a light shade of red. "Do you have a crush on anyone?" he said in a slightly pressed tone.

"Is it someone from your year? Possibly a ... Hufflepuff?" he asked grinning. He liked teasing first years. It was his hobby. But what was a first is when Jethro asked Tristan if he had a crush. Tristan really didn't know who he liked as of now. He had been worried all summer about Drew's kidnapping. But then something popped up in his head who he was talking to last year. "I don't know who. But what was weird. Anna Becket, Fifth Year Gryffindor, by the way. She said me and her were going out. Though I totally don't remember even dating her," he told the littledude.
Seriously, she must been on something.

Jet's jaw dropped. How the heck did he know about her?! "Yeah, she's from my year, and yes, she is from Hufflepuff. Her name's Summer." the boy said, pushing his cap up a little bit to see Tristan. "Maybe you had a fall and forgot about it?" he said with a slight smirk, if Tristan had power to tease him about Summer, then Jethro had knowledge about Anna. The boy was alright talking about Summer like this, as long as Tristan didn't leak anything.
Lets just say if he did, the boy would have to pay some guys to jinx the older boy, or something.

He laughed. "I guess I'm a right guesser. It's just that I've seen a lot of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs now lately," he told Jethro. He smiled looking at him like he was suprised. "Hey, don't worry man. I'm not going to go and blurt it out to everyone. Sheesh, I'm not like that," he said chuckling. He wouldn't do that anyone. Tristan was good with secrets and stuff, no matter how much you think of his personality.
"And a fall? No, I swear. I never did go out with her. She must of been on something, because I would of known one way or another. But what was weird that two days ago. There was atleast like seven or eight students asking if me and Anna broke up. I was like 'What?!'. I swear, something ain't right here. Either this is a joke or maybe we did go out. But I would of known," he said to Jethro. Jethro probably wouldn't of even cared but hopefully he did because this was getting a little annoying that people are saying that indeed Tristan and Anna did go out.

Jethro's red face had sub-sided, and the boy smiled again now. "Thanks Tristan." he said in a proud voice looking up to the older boy. Snickering a little bit as Tristan then told his story, Jet grinned. "Don't worry, I reckon I'd be ticked off if something like that happened to me. Did ya ever think that maybe she likes you want wants to go out with you?" he said with a shrug. Thats what Jethro thought anyway. He wasn't about to run out in a busy corridor and scream Tristan and Anna love each other! nor was Tristan gonna spill the beans on him either.
"Hey, I was wondering Tristan... If you have any spare Quidditch books, could I maybe borrow one or two?" he said in a slightly shy voice, his blue eyes looking at the older Gryffindor.

"Maybe she does. Maybe she doesn't. Only Merlin knows," he told him. Wondering about it. He wondered if he should go talk about it with her sometime. But not right now. He then went out of thought and looked back at the boy. He then heard him ask a question about Quidditch books. He started to chucke, "Jet, I have SO many Quidditch books, magazines, catalogs, and everything man. Yeah I lend you some. You can even have some if you want," he told him. Hopefully this kid would get into Quidditch a lot. See how he plays next year.
