Deaf stood just into the room, the door shut behind him and the room full of history before him. He had stumbled upon the room a few weeks ago and had returned many times. There was hardly anybody there and it was a great place to think. He spun a pen through his fingers absently, occasionally switching it to the opposite hand. He ran his hand over walls as he walked slowly, looking at all of the awards that had been collected over the many many years. And as he did he noticed the occasional initials or hearts scratched into the stone or written in permanent ink.
He stopped at an Order of Merlin First Class and stopped spinning his pen. And after a moments consideration he carefully wrote The Magnificent D.L. Crevice on the stone under the award and did his best to draw a picture of an Order of Merlin First Class. He would come back later with a knife and scratch his initials into the stone so they would be permanent. Just as he was finishing the door opened and he jumped backed, the pen already hidden in one of his many inner pockets.

A new day, a better attitude, and the prospect of a beautiful future where she didn’t have to hide who she was any longer, what more could Jax ask for? It was time for her to pay her respects to those who had helped her so many times before, the suits of armor in the armory.
It was them who had her thinking that one day, and the armory where she met Professor…though now it was Deputy Headmistress Hectis who she confided her secret. She was the only person, other than Snake who knew, and one of her favorite people at this school. Wow…such a bright attitude from the Raven who just weeks before could have been found moping around the castle blaming another particular Raven for all of her problems. The thirteen year old Raven girl hadn’t even thought about it, not since Snake had returned to the castle.
Jax hadn’t thought anyone else would be there. Usually, there were not, but that didn’t stop their from those unique times like with Professor Hectis. Jax smiled as she pushed the door open and heard some shuffling from behind it. Hoping that it wasn’t some people making out or something, she stopped it short and peeked around the corner of the door to see a boy standing there, still as a statue. He obviously hadn’t been expecting anyone either.
“Oh, sorry ‘bout that. Didn’t mean to scare you or anything,” Jax said to him as she let herself in the rest of the way and laughed. She looked the kid over and then looked at the suits of armor. “Just came to pay some respects…I won’t be here long.”

Seeing it was not a teacher he relaxed. It was only another student, and another Ravenclaw, so it was unlikely he would get in trouble right now for graffiti. He smiled and, curious about her last comment, inquired, “Pay your respects? To who? The trophies?” He vaguely recognized her from the common room or the house table but had no idea who she was so he continued, “I’m Deaf, by the way. Ravenclaw first year.” He would have offered his hand but she was on the other side of the room so it would have been a pointless gesture. Instead he bowed. He smiled at her and turned away and resumed his walk around the room, his hand tracing the wall as he went. But he glanced over his shoulder from time to time to see if she was still there and what she was doing if she was.

Trophy room? Damn. Jax looked around and saw no suits of armor anywhere. Had she really made a wrong turn? "Heh," she said as she looked around the room, continuously amused at how silly she was. "Yah, ya know? Respects to....umm....the trophies that I hope to one day be entitled to get." Jax nodded and shrugged her shoulders. It was pretty obvious that she had somewhere along the line fouled up, but she wouldn't admit to it. Not just yet any ways.
As the boy introduced himself as a Ravenclaw, Jax nodded thinking that the boy did look awfully familiar. "Oh, yea? I thought you looked like I'd seen ya around! I'm Jax, third year." As he bowed Jax laughed a bit again. Wow, this kid was something else already, but he seemed cool enough. Jax bowed back, thinking that giving the kid a curtsy would have been much too girly. Her bangs fell from behind her ears, and as she bowed it was easy for anyone to see her spiked up hair in the back. She'd done it that day special to pay her respects to the trophies suits of armor.
As Jax decided to take a look around herself, she looked at the biggest trophy in awe. "Woah..." she said out loud, but not to anyone but herself. It would have never really fit anywhere in her room, but Jax would have loved to see something like that with her name on it. Jax of course, Jacquelyn on it would have only made her spew.
Jax looked over at Deaf, who in turned kept stealing glances back at her. "These are pretty amazing, eh?" she asked him, now thinking about how she could maybe get one of them into her room for a trophy of her own. Yes, her scheming mind was at work again, and all Jax could do was let it run.

"Yeah," He nodded in agreement and walked over. After a moment of examining the trophy, "But this one is a bit excessive. Not saying I wouldn't like one." Deaf had never got an award for anything although his mother had received a few for her books. He had always been a bit jelous and having a trophy this size would certainly end that. He produced a small blue rubber ball from seemingly nowhere and began to roll it about his hand absent mindedly. He could never hold still and doing such little things with his hands let him hold the rest of his body still.
"You didn't mean to come here, did you?" He asked after a moment. She had seemed a bit lost when she had first come in and her paying respects to the trophies sos he could get one didn't make much sense to him. Then again a lot of stuff didn't make sense to him yet they were still true. He would believe either answer.

Deaf was right, and as Jax looked the trophy over, she thought long and hard about how to shrink it to get it into her bedroom. "Yea, but there's spells to make it not so excessive...." Jax nodded. "Yup, I have a nice place for something like that right on my trunk." Jax stuck her tongue out in play and laughed as she looked at the younger boy. She put her hands behind her head and intertwined her fingers still thinking.
That was when he asked her about being in the wrong place. "No place is ever the wrong place," the thirteen year old argued. "I was just expecting to end up in the armory.....seems I lost my footing and ended up here. But this is a good thing...." Jax nodded thinking about how much trouble she could possibly get into if she wasn't careful. Who knew...this kid could be a tattletale. "But what were you up to? Anything fun?" Jax asked him, almost wondering if he would partake in something if she asked him for his help.

After a moments reflection he said, "Interesting theory, I'll have to remember that next time I get lost. But why is it a good thing?" When she asked him what he was doing he thought about several answers. What he was really doing could get him in trouble and wasn't that fun.
So he stretched his imagination just about as far as it went and answered, "Me? I am actually an alien sent to enslave the human race, starting with wizards and witches. I was in here doing research on what you puny humans look up to." He nodded and put a serious look on his face but his eyes sparkled with laughter and a smile twitched at his lips. But it only lasted a moment before he burst out laughing. Once he had stopped he grinned at the older girl. “But seriously, I was just looking at the trophies. Nobodies ever in here so it’s a nice place.”

"It's a good thing because you'll never know what you'll find yourself running into," Jax decided not to tell the young boy about her time when she had been dared to turn the Vampire Professor's office into complete cardboard with the last of her cardboard transfiguring potion that she had accidentally made in potions class at the beginning of that year. Nope, Jax figured it wouldn't be right to ruin what image she had just created with her statement and tell Deaf that she had almost gotten herself killed by their former herbology professor, and now Deva head.
As he told her his fantastic story, Jax laughed a good laugh she hadn't done in ages. This kid was bloody brilliant...then again, he was in her house so it really didn't surprise her. "Really? Studying, eh?" she still snickered as he grinned and started telling her what he was really doing. "No, doesn't look like there'd be many people in her unless it was a professor reflecting on the good old days," Jax smirked and rolled her eyes. Yea, right. Professors and their childhood years....more like the stone age.

A Trophy room? It was better than he could imagine it would be! Why, if there were trophies in there, he could see who he'd have to beat out to be the best. Being the best was the only way a Prince could be. Just like in the book Mrs. Fortune left him. A Prince was highly decorated and recognized, everyone knew just by looking at him he was a Prince, just like Brenton could sniff out peasants and royalty. So maybe he had a bit of trouble, but he was still new at it.
Sauntering into the trophy room, he stopped short when he saw shadows of others. Were they doing what he was going to do? Were they there waiting to beat him up? Laughing? They were planning on the best way to beat him up, that was it.
Looking around frantically, Brent tried to figure out if he could go back out. No, there was a bully in the hall out that way, but there were two in front of him. Maybe they would pretend they didn't notice him if he walked in all casual like and pretended he didn't see them. Yea, that would work.
Going in, head held high, Brent tripped over the edge of his robe and fell into someone with short blonde hair. Yup, he was going to get geat up for sure.

"Yeah, to completely take over an entire species you must know about them." He grinned. He was about to respond to her comment on the few people in here when another person entered. In only a few minutes the room was more full than he had ever seen it. But the thing the stopped him from reply was the newcomer tripping. He looked like he was a first year, like Deaf. He imagined how embarrassing it must have been for that kid and after throwing a glance at Jax he hurried over to the new boy.
"You ok?" He asked standing over him.

Another to enter into the trophy room? Come on now, two was great and all for a scheme...but three was getting to be a bit much when it came to getting away with doing anything. Jax hadn't even had time to formulate her plan on getting the trophy before Deaf was throwing her a glance as some kid was tripping over himself. Jax never even had time to turn her head before she felt the kid push into her and she was shoved right into the big trophy that she had been looking at the entire time.
The trophy wobbled as Deaf tended to the kid whom Jax's eyes had never even looked at. She was too shocked at the events happening that were right in front of her eyes. "Umm....guys!" she yelled out, only for the trophy to then fall from it's pedestal and crash to the ground. Jax crawled over to it instinctively and tried to move the heavy trophy to check it out. The gold trophy was dented pretty badly and the handle to it was now laying across the floor on the other side of the room.
Yup, she should have gone to the armory.

Quickly arranging himself, he backed far away from the other boy. If he got too close he was going to beat him up, that was for sure. He felt bad about running into the boy, but his darn robes were too long. He tried to tell his mum over break that the hem needed to be done again, but did she listen? Noooo.
It figured he'd run into two boys, both of whom were going to beat him up. Wait? What was he--she??? trying to get their attention for? Was that really a girl? No way, there was no way.
He watched when the trophy fell, that wasn't supposed to happen, was it?
"I'm fine," he told the other boy in his Irish accent. Getting far away from him, he tried to get closer to the girl...boy? What was it? "Are ya ok?"

Amused at every bodies clumsiness he stepped back and watched as Jax tumbled into the large trophy which then smashed to the ground a broke. Holding back laughter he fetched the handle. The seriousness of the situation was what made him laugh because he did not see it as serious and their worry over it was funny. They were wizards, weren't they? They had wands, didn't they? They - or at least he - knew the repairo spell. In fact he had made sure to learn that spell since he had always wanted to be able to break things and put them back together for real instead of only pretending to. But the trophy could wait. The fellow raven was obviously ok since she went scrambling over to the trophy and the other boy said he was ok. So now they just had to get everything patched up before a teacher came in. He leaned against the wall toying with the handle and waited to see what they would do.

"Alright...." Jax knew she should have brought her wand, but silly her didn't carry it around. What was the point in that?! Sure she was ok with it, but how challenging was it to get into any trouble with it on you? Ok, so that's not why she had really forgotten it. She was supposed to be going to the armory, not the trophy room. She hadn't thought anything about needing it...that was the last time she thought about anything.
"Any one have their wand on them?" Jax said, smiling sheepishly and feeling like an idiot. Wow...some day she was having.

What in bloody Merlin was it? A boy or a girl? The face looked like a girl, the voice was definitely a girl's voice, but it looked kinda like a boy too. Brenton shrugged to himself, it'd be an it. What else could he call it without knowing what it was?
It seemed ok, at least, Brent thought that's what its reply meant when it said 'Alright'. But the thing was broken, the trophy, they were all in trouble for sure and his whole plan was going to fall away into nothingness. Everyone was going to learn his secrets, the whole truth of everything, and he'd been doing such a good job keeping it on the downlow.
"Aye," he answered, not sure what good having his wand would do him. The Slytherin boy was a little shabby with spells, but sometimes he could do them up just fine. "Wha' d'ya need i' fer?"
