"They will be as long as you stay away from them," Drew answered Charlie, raising an eyebrow in her direction. He couldn't help but notice she had a new suit, and had to go for the tease. "So, not showing off your belly this year, huh Jones?"
He was ready to grab a burger off the grill when something else caught his attention. His dainty and descreet girlfriend made her entrance, splashing half the guests and Drew let out a whoop of approval. He had been waiting for her to show up before going in himself and now that she was there, he followed her lead, running to the edge and flipping himself through the air to splash land close to where she was resurfacing.

Lach took Drew's hand and giving it a shake he replied to the boys question . 'Yeah, its Lachlan, you can call me Lach though and thanks for inviting me". A smile spread across the Hufflepuff boy's face as he began to feel more relaxed. He was glad that someone else had spoken up first and begun the introductions, Lach hated taking the lead.
Lachlan's attention then turned to the Slytherin girl, who had just announced her name. Unsure whether or not she had heard Lach greet Drew, the boy gave a small "Hey, yeah, I'm Lach' before adding a small laugh. It would of sounded pretty stupid to anyone who had first heard Lach speak and repeat pretty much the exact same phrase. Oh well. At least they all knew his name now.
Suddenly the boy's attention was drawn from Delilah to the door of the room. A girl, definitely older than Lachlan himself, had just entered. Barely giving enough time to pause, she ran and jumped, cannon balling into the water. Drew, whom Lach had just been introduced to, was soon to follow the girl. The splash reached up, and almost drenched Lach completely. Pulling off his t-shirt, Lach threw it to the side, making sure it landed some where near his flip flops.
A wicked grin spread across the boys face and he ran and leapt, just like the previous two, this time grabbing one leg up to his chest and hitting the water with a big splash. Lach resurfaced, facing the group of people still on the side of the pool, he laughed, "You don't know what your missing out on, com'on jump in"

Sophia was shocked when a total of three people basically cannon-balled their way into the pool without warning. She giggled and decided that this was a pool party. She took of her glasses and her dress, revealing her bathing suit. She folded them up and tried to put them somewhere where they wouldn't get too soaked. She then flashed a smile at the group and ran for the diving board, ignoring any safety rule...ever. She finally reached the top of the board and began to jump on it, trying to get as much height as possible. At the apogee of her jump, she tucked in and ended up flipping into the pool, making a rather large splash for a little girl.
"C'mon, D!" She called, using the nickname Connor dubbed her with. She joined Lachlan in urging the others in. "What are y'all waiting for? Jump in!"

Connor wasn't usually one to miss out on a party. He wasn't on too bad of terms with Drew to avoid the party, and it was one of the last big gatherings before summer break. Plus it was a party for the upperclassmen of Hogwarts, including the fifth, sixth and seventh years. That tended to be the general age group for most of Connor's friends. He guessed that most of them would show up, because they tended to be a rather social group. The Slytherin Prefect made his way up to the room of requirement from the dungeons, spotting a few friends on the way. He pushed his way into the room of requirement, set up with pool, slides and diving board. Drew did know how to throw a party, Connor had to give him that. He grinned as he saw a bunch of people jump into the pool. He recognized just about everyone if not by name than by face. He tossed his beach towel onto one of the chairs, kicked off his flip flops, and took off his black ' Got Quidditch? ' shirt, leaving him standing in his black green and white plaid board shorts. He stood on the edge of the pool before diving in and swimming for a while. When he resurfaced he was just to the left of Sophia and he gave her a grin. " Nice party, huh? " He asked with a small laugh as he tried to get his wet hair out of his eyes. He spotted Felicity and Drew and waved at the couple, glad to see them. He looked around and didn't see Celina, but he wasn't too surprised. She hadn't really been around as much as of late.

It was supposed to be a pool party, which meant swimming. Something that Dante was not to keen on normally, and with his broken nose still needing a bit of time to heal he was hesitant to even bother going. But an invitation was an invitation, and if anything he might just say on the sidelines today. Eventually he convinced himself that going was better than sitting around doing nothing, how much better he would have to see. So he put on his black swim trunks, just in case, and a dark green t-shirt, grabbed a towel that was colored like the Italian flag, and headed out from his room. His close toed sandals making little noise as he walked the halls.
It did not take long to get to the door and enter. He knew he was just a bit later than many of the people had been, though he did not consider himself late by party standard. People were in the water, so he wondered how long they had been enjoying the atmosphere. His eyes, with green and yellow tinted fading bruising, found many faces he recognized from around school. He was glad the bruising was slowly fading, a few more days and the color would become even lighter and then be gone. But for now, he was more comfortable with it all, and thankful he had avoided going to the hospital wing. He had a broken nose when he was younger anyway. So he knew pretty well what to do.
Rather than make a big entrance though Dante simply walked in with his towel over his shoulder scanning. He made his way toward the pool and the chairs next to it, trying to find one that was unclaimed. Once found he set his towel across it and stood at the edge of the pool, still unwilling to take a dive as everyone else had seemed to do so far. "How's the water?" Dante remarked with a hint of sarcasm. His hands in his pockets he located a few faces, Connor Slytherin Prefect, Felicity, Drew, Sophia, Delilah and a few others. He smiled as he scanned the pool, and smelled what could only be a grill going. Awesome, he thought to himself trying to remember the last time he had a good hamburger.

Celina hadn’t told anyone she was going to Drew’s annual pool party, nor had she even expected to herself, but as she thought about it in her mind the days before, it always led her back to the same conclusion. How much she was going to really miss Drew Thornton at Hogwarts.
They had fallen from close friends as they once had been ever since the Deva invasion a year and a half ago, but they were still friends, and at the bottom of her heart, Celina knew that her Raven brother would do anything for her if she were ever in need of help. Not going to the party would have been a depressing and ultimately selfish decision on her part… even if it were just to make an appearance, say ‘hi’ and then leave a few minutes later.
Peeking her head in first, Celina looked around to see just who had shown up so far. She picked out Felicity and Drew first, of course, because they were her friends and always top of the list when she looked for anyone in a crowd. And then there was that kid Dante… quickly Celina looked for Damian, almost knowing he’d never show up to one of these things, and thanking Merlin for that. She sighed, her eyes finally landing on Connor… her stomach lurched and Celina didn’t exactly know how to react, so she didn’t at that moment. She was there because her friend was graduating and this was one of the last weeks she’d see him before he left, and who knew when they’d meet up again…
One step forward, Celina didn’t make her presence known at all, making sure she was just as invisible as she liked to be. She had a suit on, but it was under her tank top and jeans that she also wore, for she didn’t actually expect to go swimming. Looking around, Celina found an empty chair by the snacks and drinks and sat down. Eventually, Felicity and Drew would get out of the water and she’d make her way over and say hi… what she did after that, well… Celina wasn’t all that sure, actually.

" Nice party, huh? "
Sophia gasped as Connor snuck up beside her in the pool. She laughed a little as he fixed his sopping hair. "It's awesome so far! I haven't been to a party in ages! It's so nice to see everyone in one place." She tried to think about who would be missing from the shindig. She saw Dante walk in, still nursing a bruised nose, and...and Celina. Sophia knew that it was probably futile for her to continue a conversation with Connor since she arrived. She had an understanding that Connor had liked her since the Valentine's Dance. She sighed, but continued nonetheless. "Drew's such a sweet guy to do this for everyone." She looked around the pool and saw that there was a decent number of people in: Felicity, Drew, Lach, Connor, and herself.
"Say, do you think we have enough people to play a game?" she asked Connor, a glimmer in her eye. Something inside of her was aching for Marco Polo.

Connor looked up to see Dante walking in, giving a short laugh as the other guy asked, ' How's the water? ' The Slytherin took the initiative and tossed some water up on Dante's feet, saying, " It's pretty awesome, Vroom. But you'll have to check it out yourself. " Connor turned back to Sophia as she gasped slightly. He hadn't been aware that he took her by surprise, and he laughed softly, shrugging his shoulders as he continued to tread water to stay above the surface. He nodded along, agreeing with the girl's words.
" Hey, yeah... It's cool to see everybody before we all leave for summer break. " Connor was oblivious for the most part about the new entrance, that was, until he turned slightly and caught a glance of Celina making her way over towards the pool area. He almost missed what Sophia said next, pausing for a few seconds before agreeing. " ... yeah, he's a good guy. " He finally managed, tearing his eyes away from Celina long enough to grin at the Gryffindor girl next to him. He hadn't any idea what he was doing as he glanced at the Ravenclaw every so often, but it was hard to pay attention to what was happening in the pool now.
" What sort of a game? " He asked curiously, his interest in remaining in the pool growing slightly. It also depended on whether or not the food was going to be done soon... Connor was always up for eating.

Jason smiled when he saw Delilah ask for a drink, "o yeah take what you want" he said, when she took one he put everything in the ice chest, he stood up straight and cracked open a butter beer. Jason could not believe that it was almost the end of the year. He looked at everyone in the pool and smiled. He grabbed another butter beer and walked over to where Drew was and offered him the butter beer "so who's gona do this when your gone next year" he asked his friend with a slight grin

Delilah nodded, "Awesome to meet ya Lach..." She said, making sure that the boy knew she had addressed him, and gave a small smile. Apparently the random introduction to absolutely no one had worked out quite well for the Slythering girl. Delilah watched as, what was it now, one, two... three, and Sophia made it four. Lovely, she'd definetly be next. Delilah grinned, it was official, once more than one person called you by a nick name, it was yours for keeps... Yet another thing that was lovely... Delilah scoffed in her mind at this... She'd have to see whether it'd be truly lovely or not. Delilah smiled at Jason and downed her butter beer, happy as a clam now, and knew she'd be peeing like a race horse soon enough. Not in the pool of course.
Delilah grinned as Connor jumped in next, it would seem she was seeing more of him and Sophia all the time. Coincidence? Definetly. Delilah noted Dante walking in, and shot him a quick wave before finally, cannon balling in herself, once her t-shirt had been taken off, and her swim suit would be the only thing wet. Seemed like Felicity knew how to get the ball rolling. Delilah swam towards Sophia and Connor and said her hellos, loving the water against her. Swimming, was always a party. She over head Sophy say something about a game, and already D, (great, she was calling herself that now,) was up for it. "Can someone say Marco Polo?" She asked, reading Sophy's mind, a huge smile spreading across her face.
Delilah watched Connor glancing back and forth from the girl sitting away from the pool, and she just let her mind assume things. She grinned, seemed like Connor had a crush. Once again, how lovely. She looked at Sophia, and winked at her when Connor was, once again, glancing at the girl. She hoped Sophy would know that Delilah was only making it more obvious what she had just noted in her own head.

Lach watched as a girl, whose name he thought was Sophie gave into his encouragement. She ran and climbed up to the diving board. Lach flinched a bit as she dived, twisting and landing not far from the boy. She had made quite a splash. The other girl, the one whom Lach hadn't be introduced to,who had previously jumped into the pool definitely knew how to get the party started. Things were really beginning to warm up.
Lach grinned as more people entered the pool area, two guys, one nursing a sore nose and another girl. She seemed a bit cautious and possibly a little distance. With the room filling up fast, Lach was left wondering who else was yet to arrive.
Lach's attention was drawn from the girl to where his other two friends stood. They were still hanging with the group that remained dry. Suddenly an idea popped into the boys head. Swimming slowly over to side of the pool where they stood, Lach was careful not to act suspicious. At the last minute though, Lach let a wicked smile creep across his face, giving the two girls only seconds to react.
Lachlan brought his hand across the water in a sweeping motion, sending a splash of water hurtling to his friends. Lach miss aimed though and the water only reached their legs. Laughing to himself Lach called to Matty and Tianne "Come on you girls, hurry up and jump in, or there will be more where that came from"

Matty was quick to jump into a hug from Drew, a grin still evident on her face. The older Ravenclaw was as much of a brother to her, as she was a sister to him. And, alike everyone here, the girl was going to be sad to see him go when the time came. Hogwarts without Drew Thornton was like... toast without butter. It was still toast, just allot dryer. The teen also managed to slot in a hug for her best friend, finding comfort in the fact that she could refer to her as that these days. After their whole 'this could be the end' fight, it seemed that not only had the two walked through a whole lot of issues, but their friendship was stronger than ever. As the rest of the room filled up, swiftly and smoothly, Matty's gaze recognized all, more or less. When Lachlan turned up - a boy whose friendship was only a few months old, but quickly becoming one of her best and favorites - the teenager also gave him hug in greeting. When her Raven sister wander over to the growing group of girls, the Hufflepuff also followed. When introductions were being thrown up in the air, the Badger put in her own. "Matty!" she said with a grin similar to that of a pre-scholar, pointing to herself. Hopefully they wouldn't think she was... stupid or anything by this. And then it began! The girl didn't know who had started the cascade of people into the pool, all she knew was that it was someone blond, and in that, someone Drew was eager to join. Green eyes watched as person after person joined the tumble into the blue waters, and as Conner arrived, he did too. The teenager was also conscious of two other Ravenclaws whom she knew and or knew of join the party. Standing there on the side of the pool, Matilda was kind of glued to the spot, holding her sides in laughter. It was just entertaining to see everyone having so much... fun, without the thoughts of exams, or issues in their life creeping about. However, the feeling of water spitting all over her ankles was enough to snap the girl out of thoughts. "Come on you girls, hurry up and jump in, or there will be more where that came from." Well, that was that then, wasn't it? Matty made a dart for a dry spot to the back of the chairs, chucking down her towel, hat and bag. She flicked of her flip flops, before peeling off her dress to reveal a salmon colored pair of swimmers with a design over the top. Hanging around her neck was a shell necklace, along with a couple of plated hemp ones. Bracelets alike this were on either wrists, as well as a hemp and bead bracelet on her right ankle. Approaching the pool again, the teen jumped into the clear near Lachlan, holding herself in a bomb. Yeah, she wanted to splash him alright. Once she had resurfaced, Matilda sent a grin at her fellow Hufflepuff, before perking up her ears when mention of a game was stated. "Dibbs not being in!" she claimed, before sneakily shoving a handful of water to wards Lach.

"Tianne." She said, giving Sophia a small wave and gesturing out to the water. "Can't wait to go swimming, hey! I haven't been since... well, a couple f weeks!" She grinned, the time that she hadn't gone swimming in had ended up being shorter than she had once expected.
Merely laughing as Felicity made her entrance, Tianne clapped her hands together. That took confidence, or you know, sugar, to do; Tianne couldn't imagine herself doing that in a million years. She was happy that the sixth year girl had started the people going into the water, but as usual, Tianne hung back, deciding to bide her time before she made her entrance into the water. She felt really young, although she was not the youngest, but compared to the other people that had attended the party, Tianne just felt juvenile.
Watching politely, standing with her hands behind her back and a nervous smile upon her face, Tianne gave a grin to each person as the room slowly began to fill out. The room held a great atmosphere, Tianne couldn't help but be excited, even though on the outside she may have looked quite nervous. She didn't personally know everyone that was at the party, but she figured that she would mingle when the time came; for now she had to get wet.
Grinning at those that had bravely gone into the pool; Lachlan, Drew, Felicity, Connor and Matty; Tianne wandered over to the corner of her room, and threw all of the clothes that she had been wearing in a pile, revealing a pair of white bathers, a pair that Tianne had only just been sent for her birthday. Taking herself to the edge of the pool, Tianne sat down, and pulled her curly brown hair into a ponytail. Taking a different approach to getting herself wet than the others, Tianne splashed some water up onto her legs, before lowering herself into the pool. Grinning as she ducked under, Tianne splashed some water at Matty and Lachlan. Subtlety really was the best sometimes.

As soon as she broke the surface of the water, she felt and heard splashes all around her, and was happy to not hear any complaints from anyone. Taking a moment to wipe the water from her eyes, she kicked her feet to stay afloat and waited for Drew to surface so she could say hi, however, her light brown eyes were distracted by the much quieter entrance of her best friend, who also quietly took a seat near the snack table. Ducking back under water, Felicity made sure to push her hair back before wrapping her arms around Drew's neck with a peck on his cheek and a bouncy "hi" before swimming to the edge and pulling herself out. There were a couple of others she needed to greet too.
Running at as fast a pace as she could with the people all around and wet feet, the blonde made her way to get to the still slightly crazy Ravenclaw and without saying a word, she pounced on the girl, wrapping her arms around Celina's neck and taking a seat in her lap. It was a pool party, and even if Celina was a lot more conservative than most, Felicity knew she would've been practical enough to have her swimmers on under her clothes.
"Hi Celina!" she spoke excitedly into her friend's ear.

She had told Connor more than she probably should have, and though he seemed… ok… with what was said, Celina wasn’t sure what he truly felt about everything. Could he keep to himself all of what was said, or was he one to go searching for help if he felt it was necessary? Celina fidgeted in the seat that she had sat in, her pants bunching up just slightly around her thigh area. Stretching her pants back out over her legs, Celina looked up at the pool and noticed little things that made the Raven girl a bit more paranoid about being at the party.
Connor looked back at her, glancing here and there, just as the girls around him did slightly. She obviously hadn’t come into the Room of Requirement as invisibly as Celina had once thought. Did they know? Had he told them? Who were they… other than girls in their class? Celina tried to clear her throat, for it had suddenly become incredibly parched.
Turning from the pool in the chair she sat in, she looked towards the snack and drink table, noticing that it was still too far to reach from the chair. Celina would have reached before, if she were not as noticeable as she seemed to be, but now that she was obviously being watched, Celina didn’t want to make more of a spectacle of herself than was necessary. Connor knew things that Celina had questioned even telling him on her birthday… more than even Drew… had he told, unable to hold to himself that there was truly a Deva among them?
Celina hated that. She hated that her brother was being stereotyped for making a decision that ultimately brought him closer to her, to protect her as a brother should. Maybe Connor took it horribly… maybe? What was going on?
So distracted in her own thoughts, and paranoid delusions (if you will), Celina didn’t hear the footsteps that slapped across the floor as a charging lioness came toward her. It wasn’t until arms were wrapping around her where Celina gasped, jumped forward to face whomever was attacking her and then, the wind was knocked out of her. Celina screamed in her mind, but because of the lack of wind, she couldn’t scream out.
Mouth opened, blond hair inserted, Celina spat out the wet hair and giggle as her friend’s whispered breath tickled her ear. It was only Felicity, and Celina wrapped her arms instinctively around her friends midsection, still not realizing probably how awkward the lion sitting on the Raven’s lap probably looked. “Felicity!!” Celina squealed, “What are you doing?!”
Well, Felicity obviously didn’t know… Celina hugged her friend and sighed in relief… then noticing, how wet she too was now getting. “Ugh… Felicity,” Celina giggled.
