There wasn't a specific purpose for Connor going to the seventh floor that day, and eventually to an old abandoned tower. As he found himself on the landing of the tower, Connor proceeded to drop his bag on the ground but below a lonely looking portrait of a sleeping old witch. How the witch had been exiled to an abandoned tower, he could only really guess. So far his guessed amounted to, 1) she snored too loudly, 2) she slept too much or 3) she wasn't of a great importance. He wasn't sure which of the three options it could be, or possibly any other options he wasn't thinking of. He peered into the face of the woman, wondering who she was. She slept peacefully, and Connor felt secure in ruling out option number one. Still pondering who she could be, the Slytherin turned away from the portrait and proceeded to remove his robes. He didn't have to go to charms for a few minutes now, and he didn't feel like keeping his robes on anyway. He pushed the sleeves up on his shirt as he walked over to a window in the tower. Soft white snow was falling, bringing about memories of the first time he had ever seen snow. He smiled, distracting himself from what he really needed to be doing - getting ready for charms. He didn't forget about the portrait of the witch, though, and wondered if she had enjoyed snow. Connor didn't know why he was so curious about the woman in the portrait, but he was. It seemed like they were the only two people in the entire tower, even if the woman was only a portrait and happened to be sleeping. Connor proceeded to walk over to the opposite wall and sit down. His back rested against the cold stone wall and his legs were propped out in front of him as he looked across the way to the window, still daydreaming about the snow. It looked so peaceful, much like how Connor felt in that moment. There was something troubling him, about Celina and her brother Alfonz and the encounter he had had with them. He felt a little bad about walking away as he had, but it was clear that the older Jedynak sibling had some things to say that didn't involve Connor hearing. He sighed slightly, wondering why a lot of things seemed to be going against him and Celina. Turning back to look at the portrait just to his right, Connor heard the sound of footsteps. ( Celina )

Late. She wasn’t prepared not to be prepared just minutes before the Charms class that she had already missed once in her entire school career. Why she had forgotten her wand was beyond her, especially since she always usually had it on her! Celina could only imagine that it was laying on her trunk, where she’d put it when she was sorting through her overly stuffed bag, trying to find exactly what it was she had needed for herbology that day. She couldn’t believe her luck, and frankly as she tried to run back up to the Ravenclaw tower, it only worsened as the stairs changed at that exact moment, sending her to the complete opposite side of the school in a part of the towers that she was definitely unfamiliar with. Late, and for a horrible man who thought he was funny of all people.
Celina was getting sick and tired of all the new professors that seemed to come in and out of Hogwarts, and she was sure that she wasn’t the only one who felt this way. Every new teacher brought a worse and less qualified one, and Leon Snow hit the top of the list. Seriously the most horrible professor when it came to actual teaching and lessons that there was at the school, in Celina’s opinion. He even topped Griffiths, and that, again in Celina’s opinion was hard to accomplish. However, Griffiths knew how to teach, whereas he was slightly mean and strict, Snow had nothing when it came to teaching abilities. And now, though she hated his class, she was late trying to find her way back to Ravenclaw, and frustrated.
She turned a corner only to find that it wasn’t a corridor at all, and in fact it was a dead end. “No, way!” she yelled out, mostly at herself for she didn’t figure anyone else was doing anything in these halls, which only made her predicament that much worse. Turning around, she started to trot slightly so that she could possibly make the time she speant dilly dallying that much less, but she knew it was futile. She’d definitely be walking into class late. A class that she had with all of her friends… Drew wouldn’t be pleased Felicity would want to know what was going on… and yet, Connor… Celina didn’t actually see him bugging or caring too much about it. She smiled slightly as she continued to run with her heavy bag looking for the way back to the Ravenclaw tower. No, Connor would probably tell her something to the extent of at least you made it to the class, and slightly that made Celina feel a bit better about being late. At least she wasn’t sleeping through it…
Cutting another turn, this one only lead her away from where she wanted to be as well. Under her breath, she cursed to herself not even caring at that point how improper it was of her. She was frustrated, tired, and not making any headway into getting back to her dorms. As she took a brief scan around the room, Celina saw a bag, a window, a portrait, and sitting across the way from the window, a particular Slytherin that she'd just been thinking about. Wait... he wasn't in class either?!
Celina ran over to his side and crouched down next to him. "I thought you'd be in class, thank Merlin... Connor, I-left-my-wand-in-my-dorms-and-have-to-go-back-and-get-it-but-I-don't-usually-walk-around-this-side-of-the-castle-so-I-don't-exactly-know-where-I'm-going... we have to hurry!" Celina's words were all jumbled together, and yet perfectly understandable. It was as if she never took a breath between anything she said. Tugging on his arm, she attempted to pull him up, only to stumble slightly and fall over next to him again. She breathed deeply and looked down at the ground. She wasn't going to make it to class, something told her that... Sighing, she just closed her eyes.
"What time is it?" she whispered.

Charms, right. Connor readied himself to get up. He did, honest. He was mentally preparing himself to get up, to walk down the several flights of stairs to the fifth floor classroom, sit down, and prepare for another lesson. Connor actually imagined himself doing so. He imagined walking down the stairs, taking care not to trip over the one stair that liked to dissapear every once in a while, walk into the charms room to see it only half filled, a good indication that he wasn't late afterall, and finally, he imagined taking a seat next to Celina, a habit he had gotten into recently whenever they were in classes together.
He turned his head, hearing the footsteps draw nearer to where he was sitting. They also sounded a bit hurried, like the owner of the footsteps were in distress. He opened his eyes finally and saw Celina, which brought a smile to his face.
Connor's eyes darted to the space behind the girl where she had just come from, half expecting to see her older brother. Once the coast was clear, he felt like it was okay to look back at Celina once again. She did indeed look distressed, and he began to understand why as she told him in a rather hurried way. Her words were crammed together, but decipherable as well. " Okay, " He said, making to move just as Celina tugged on his arm, causing him to fall back down to the ground and hit his head lightly against the stone wall behind him. He looked over to Celina, rubbing the spot on his head slightly. Looking to his watch, Connor answered, " About two minutes 'til class starts. Are you alright? " He asked, peering at her once again.
It was then that Connor decided he wouldn't be going to charms class that day. Why bother? He was going to be late, and here was finally an opportunity to hang out with Celina without the interuptions of stupid fights, or overprotective older brothers. The only part of the plan that could go wrong would be getting Celina to stay there with him. He remembered how she had been so dissapointed when she had told him that she had accidentally skipped out on a charms class last year, he couldn't imagine her ever skipping out of a class on purpose. But maybe, just maybe... He would have to wait and see, though.

Celina looked up, seeing Connor rubbing the back of his head and she wanted to slap herself. She shouldn’t have been so pushy, and because she was her friend had gotten hurt. “I’m sorry…” she said in a hushed voice. “I’ve just been having a rough day…” she touched his head gently and scotched closer to him in order to do so. “Did I hurt you, a lot?” Worry streamed over her face as she could see again another reason why she hadn’t gotten prefect. She was pushy, bossy, and hurt people.
Putting her hand down into her lap, she shook her head. “Yea, I’m ok,” she shrugged, and lied. No, she wasn’t ok. They were missing class, be it a class she didn’t care about, but class in general, and she wasn’t even prepared to go to it if she did leave that minute. “I can’t believe I’m not prepared,” she said out loud, rubbing her eyes. two minutes ‘til class starts it echoed in her head as she decided not to tell her brother anything about missing classes… Drew was Head Boy and she was sure he’d cut classes before… he wasn’t going to Griffiths’ class after all… but then again, he was Raynor’s favorite.
Again, her mind fluttered to how she could possibly become the Head Mistress’ favorite as well. Especially, since the woman hardly knew her. Taking Connor’s hand, she looked up at him and smiled. “We should go… we could make it,” she said only half believing anything that came out of her own mouth. “Don’t you think?” her eyes were filled with worry, and a bit of moisture. She wasn’t about to cry, but she was still to that point of annoyance with herself that just made no sense.
“Do… do you think?” she repeated again, looking for any sort of hope in the situation.

Connor shook his head, not wanting Celina to worry about him. He dropped his hand back down in an effort to show that it was only a little bump, he would get over it soon enough. " I'm fine. Just a bump, don't worry. " He said with a reassuring smile as she moved closer to him and touched the spot lightly. It hurt a little, but he didn't let it show too much. It wasn't a bad injury in any way, one to recover easily from. Small bumps and bruises didn't bother Connor too much, and this one was no different. He had been surprised was all.
' Yea, I’m ok. ' Connor took a moment to assess what she said. She looked flustered, annoyed, and quite frankly on the verge of tears. " You don't look okay, Celina. " He mentioned carefully, not wanting to be rude or assuming too much, but she didn't look all that relaxed at the present time. If anything, she looked extremely stressed out.
Connor looked down to their hands, lacing his fingers with Celina's as he looked back up and caught the girl's eyes with his own. Did he really think they could make it down to the fifth floor classroom in time? He guessed the could, but to Connor it didn't seem worth it. He didn't want to seem like a bad Prefect, or even a bad student, but he just wasn't positive they could make it. " I'm not sure if we could make it, I was kind of thinking of staying here. " He said, giving her hand a light squeeze. He wasn't sure what she would think of that or if she would want to stay and miss out on class.
" Care to stay? " He asked, deciding it was better to ask than not. If she wanted to go to class, Connor supposed he would walk with her but... for some reason he knew he wouldn't end up going to the class himself. He had decided without realizing it and that was that. He smiled and went on, " It's nice and cozy. Good view, as well. " He joked, motioning to the portait to their right as well as the window that showed off the snow. " Good company, too. " He said softly, looking back to Celina.

She hated that she had even caused a bump, for it seemed in every relationship she had, she was always causing little bumps. However, Celina tried her hardest not to mention or say anything more about it as Connor smiled, trying to make it look like everything was ok, but Celina knew it was not. She was a klutz and that was all that there was to it. She sighed, irritated like.
For a few moments, silence. Connor looked her over slightly, and Celina tried to look away from him. She wanted him to worry about her, just as much as he wanted her to worry about him. His words were soft and filled with concern as he finally answered her back. You don't look ok, Celina. She shrugged. What was she supposed to say to that? Try to tell him that he was mistaken, and that she was perfectly fine? She couldn't say that. Working night and day was wearing thin on her, and she knew it. Celina wouldn't lie over something so evident in her appearance.
His fingers slid in between hers and she moved her eyes slightly, hoping that he would go with her to class. If they were late, wasn't that better than not going at all? Celina could only wonder. She could see him searching for the words, and her hope slowly faded as did the small smile she had on her face. I'm not sure if we could make it, I was kind of thinking of staying here. Celina looked around the landing of the tower where they sat. Staying there? There was nothing to do there that was productive. Surely if he were to miss class, he'd do so in the library working on other work or something... Celina looked back to Connor, a bit of confusion plastered on her expression. He gave her hand a light squeeze, and she just sighed.
Care to stay?
"But... what's here?" she asked, only to be answered a few moments later.
It's nice and cozy. Good view, as well....Good company, too
Celina wasn't sure, but at his jests a small smile appeared back on her lips, and a small heat rose to her cheeks. "If we go to class late... we'll get in more trouble... you think?" Celina said, trying to convince herself that this was the better thing to do. House points would be taken if they walked in late, that was for certain, but if they just didn't go the professors usually didn't do anything except reprimand. She didn't know. Moving herself so that she was now facing the window, the wall was to her back as she sat right next to Connor. Bringing up her knees to her chest, wrapping her free arm around them, she leaned over onto Connor's shoulder with her head and sighed. "We should at least be doing something like homework to make up for it..." she whispered, knowing that her efforts were probably useless, not to mention her brain couldn't probably take anymore work.
Celina wasn't going to lie.... she didn't want to go to class. She wanted to sit there with Connor and just be. The guilt inside of her would eat her alive, but at that moment she was too fried to care. In the end, if she made Head Girl, it would have been a miracle any ways...

Connor tried not to look worried about Celina, although it did look like she wasn’t doing too well. Probably stress from classes, more than likely. Celina was an overachiever when it came to school, which has a tendency to be a very good thing, but also a very bad thing at times. It all depended, and to Connor it looked like the Ravenclaw girl was a bit overworked. Nothing a good resting time couldn’t help.
As he looked over to Celina, he smiled slightly, thinking that the last two times he had seen the girl he had been trying to convince her to relax and hang out with him. The last time hadn’t ended well at all, but he had higher hopes for this time around. As long as her brother didn’t randomly show up, Connor felt safe in just sitting with Celina. He didn’t want to think about the charms lesson he would be missing, but at the same time he couldn’t help but wonder if Celina would end up going. He didn’t want her to, that much was obvious.
Connor’s hazel eyes finally landed on the snow falling outside and he was reminded about his ponderings of the portrait of the witch. He was easily entertained by it in the moments where neither he nor Celina spoke.
’ If we go to class late... we'll get in more trouble... you think? ‘ Connor wasn’t sure what she was getting at by saying this, but he did think it made sense. He hadn’t ever heard of someone getting into trouble, like docking points, for not showing up to class, but he had seen people get docked for showing up late to the class. He nodded his head lightly as he answered her out loud. “ Probably. It’s Snow, so I’m pretty certain he would take house points off for showing up late. “ It appeared to Connor that Celina was maybe, possibly, letting up about going to the class.
The Slytherin gave a soft hum as Celina moved slightly and sat against the wall next to him, leaning her head against his shoulder. He wasn’t sure exactly, but there was just something that fit in her doing that. A small move, certainly, but he was appreciative for the fact that Celina felt comfortable enough around him to do that.
‘ We should at least be doing something like homework to make up for it… ‘
“ Honestly? I really don’t want to. “ He responded out loud in a soft voice to match that of Celina’s whisper. A small smile worked its way onto his face as he said this, surprising even himself a little. If Celina wanted to so, he supposed it would be alright with him. He felt very unmotivated, though, and didn’t think it would be of any use to get much work done.

Losing points was worse than not gaining any, and more noticeable when it came to housemates. Knowing Celina, she’d lose even more if she walked in late just because she was usually such a good student, so she decided that giving up at that point was the winning option. It was only one class… as Connor had once told her about the other, so then, why did she feel so guilty. She sighed and squeezed Connor’s hand, lightly tracing the back of his nervously with her thumb. “Yea, that’s what I thought too…” she whispered shaking her head. Now she could only hope that no one noticed her not being there… most of the time, they wouldn’t even notice her there… well, maybe Felicity, but Celina expected her friend to. And Connor.
For a few moments, Celina sat in silence. Connor wasn’t going to class, and neither was she, and above everything else, he shot down her suggestion of doing homework to make up for it. Any other person, any other time, Celina would have argued and told them that she was going to go do it any ways, but this time was different. Not to mention, she couldn’t think of any homework that she hadn’t done that wasn’t due until after the winter break… or that the professors had even told them about yet.
“Did Snow assign anything you know for after the break?” Celina asked, her soft voice in a bit of concern. If he had, she hadn’t heard nor done it yet… “because, actually…. I don’t think I have anything more I could do unless I know the work that’s after break…” she shut her eyes slightly as she continued to lean against Connor, going over the homework in her head for every class and what she had and had not done. Was she really caught up until after break with the assignments she knew about? That was insane, but at the same time, Celina couldn’t think of anything more that she needed to do right then.
“I don’t want to work anymore either…” she said softly, turning her head so that she looked at Connor and smiled.

Connor’s eyes watched the slow movement of Celina’s thumb on the back of his hand. It had a strange, calming affect on him, and he hoped that maybe it was doing the same for the Ravenclaw beauty sitting next to him as well. He leaned his head lightly on Celina’s, as hers was still resting comfortably on his shoulder. “ Yeah… Want to stay here, then? “ He asked quietly, although it seemed rather unlikely that she would be going. At least not soon.
Lifting his head up and resting it against the wall once again, a small sigh escaped Connor and he closed his eyes, surprised by how content he felt just by sitting on the floor. He was positive his feeling content and comfortable at that moment had nothing to do with the floor, rather the girl he was sitting next to. He couldn’t believe it, here was a time for he and Celina to just hang out. Like friends did. But Connor knew better, they were more than friends. What they were exactly was still undefined, but he didn’t mind it too much. Being something was better than being absolutely nothing.
Connor opened his eyes once again as he pondered her question. He couldn’t remember Snow, or any of the other teachers for that matter, saying anything about homework after break. There had been several small assignments to be finished before the students left on winter break, but Connor felt sure in thinking that Celina had already finished those assignments. As he confirmed his though, he gave a light nod and answered, “ I don’t remember him saying anything about it, really. He would’ve mentioned it before, I think. “
He caught her gaze and smiled, glad she felt the same. “ Good. You work too hard. “ His tone was both teasing and serious as he said this. He did think she worked too hard, but didn’t want to make a bit deal out it either. For now, he was fine with just sitting and relaxing.

It was a simple request. Almost too simple, and yet, Celina wished there was another option. It wasn't as if she did not want to stay there with Connor, on the contrary, right then there would have been nothing else that would have pleased the young Ravenclaw more. It was just that Celina found that going anywhere else at that moment would have been slightly dangerous, in the aspect that anyone who knew they were supposed to be in class could catch them... that wouldn't do them any better than walking in late to Snow's class. Therefore, Celina nodded her head, knowing she really had no other choice in the matter. "Yes, I'd like that..." she said, her eyes looking up as Connor leaned his head against hers as well. As much as she had no other option, Celina found that she couldn't think of anywhere better that she'd rather be...
He lifted his head and leaned it back against the wall, Celina lifting hers only slightly to watch as the Slytherin seemed content and closed his eyes. Leaning with her body again, she rested her head back upon where she'd removed it and did the same. She felt comfortable. Not as comfortable as either Alfonz or even Drew had made her feel at times, but still comfortable to be near someone who seemed to care, and ultimately wanted to be near her. Drew and she had had their problems, and even though they were friends, they just hadn't been as close since the previous January.... the same had been with Alfonz. The two Jedynaks were still close, but as of lately, her brother was preoccupied in his thoughts, and only responded when she showed a great deal more emotion than her usual self. His constant interest in her life was lessoning, and Celina feared it had something to do with all of the secrets she knew he kept from her... Her legs fell slightly to the side as her other hand also went over Connor's and she just held it, trying not to think, but fearing all the same that everything she thought could not truly ever be stopped.
Celina went back to focusing on homework, thinking of what needed to still be done. Nothing. Nothing that needed any doing before winter break. Or rather, nothing she hadn't already done. He would've mentioned it before, I think. Celina nodded her head in response, wondering if it was too early to ask for the work he would be having them do. She'd ask it later of her professor, for she felt that if she asked Connor his opinion of it, he'd just shoot her down. Celina knew he wouldn't understand... no one did.
She lifted her head and met his hazel eyes with her brown and smiled slightly. "I don't work any harder than you play, Mr. Manning..." she giggled, knowing that that probably made little to no sense. Not to mention, if her tone wasn't as teasing as his, it could have seriously been taken wrong, or hurtful. She gave his hand a quick squeeze between the two of hers.
Sighing, Celina looked back at her bag and reached over with the hand she had topped Connor's with and opened it up. "Look.." she whispered, taking from the bag two chocolate frogs. "I have two... made sure to grab them for when I saw you." She looked up at Connor again and giggled, a small heat rising to her cheeks. "I mean.. if you'd like one, that is."

He was peaceful, that was it. He had spent too much time trying to define how he was feeling that he almost lost it. Peaceful. He wondered if Celina was feeling the same. Or if she was still worrying about the lesson they were planning on missing. Planning on missing. It astounded even Connor. He felt relieved, however, when she agreed to stay. Maybe this would be something they both needed? A little time to relax. Connor also figured they would get around to talking as well. He didn't mind the small amount of silence that draped over them. It wasn't awkward for him, just a little too quiet for his liking. A warm smile held to his features as he felt Celina's other hand over top of his hand that was in the girl's other hand. Little things like that assured Connor that Celina did want him around, because at times it was hard to tell. He gave her hand a light squeeze just as he felt tiredness sweep over him.
Fearing falling asleep, he shook his head slightly, not feeling anything from where he hit it against the wall earlier. No harm done... He thought in an effort to comfort Celina about it once more, although he didn't say it out loud. She might have forgotten about it already, which would probably be for the best anyway. He turned and looked down at Celina as she responded to his comment. ' I don't work any harder than you play, Mr. Manning...' It took him a few seconds to try and decipher what she meant before he gave up and started laughing. " Do I... play alot? " He asked, thinking that maybe it wasn't supposed to make sense. Her light squeeze of his hand was met by a grin, he still not sure what to make of her comment.
His eyes darted over to her bag which she had just reached into. Curiousity lit up the Slytherin's eyes as Celina rummaged around a little bit and then retrieved a treat for the two of them.
He let out a soft chuckle, thinking it a bit funny that she would have grabbed chocolate frogs. He grabbed one with his free hand and held it up as he talked. " Remember when we first hung out at the festival this summer? I brought you a frog and it melted all over. " He said, remembering with another short laugh. It hadn't been all that smart, keeping a chocolate frog in his pocket during the hottest time of day. It had been rather melted, but Celina had liked it anyway.

He shook slightly and Celina looked up to make sure that she was not the cause of his, what she took to be, discomfort. She wouldn't want to smother the boy if he wasn't comfortable with it. Shying off slightly, she leaned more against the wall again rather than Connor, hoping that she wasn't being to forward or crowding. She could already start to feel her face heat up just a bit, and her eyes wandered away as she giggled nervously. "A lot?" she repeated his question and thought about her next response. Did he play? Well, anything that wasn't working was wasting time in some aspect. Unless it was stimulating the mind, and achieving something that would effect their lives in a greater fashion... or so her father would preach. "Well, let me ask you this then," her hand in Connor's still, she looked at it and smiled briefly before turning her eyes back on him.
"Does everything you do in your daily life effect your future? Does it bring success to it, and in the end, are you gratified not with satisfaction but with accomplishment that will only better yourself in the end?" Celina asked this in all seriousness, her smile only half a smile for she knew that her question must have sounded odd, especially, since all they were doing at that very moment was sitting in some dingy tower with one another and not working at all! Celina exhaled a breath slowly, as if her breathing was slowed in anticipation for his response. Would he think her odd? Or did he already? Celina didn't know, and didn't care. This was serious to her... and she needed someone who could understand.
Handing one of the chocolate frogs over to Connor, Celina's face lit up and she nodded slightly. "Of course I remember... it was a fabulous time." She had never had so much fun being out with anyone or doing something with one of her friends. She'd never tell Felicity or Drew such things, but she always felt pressure with them... or just awkward in general. It could have been because Felicity's family was muggle based in a lot of ways, and her relationship with Drew had just steadied out more away from each other than not since Felicity yelled at the both of them for something quite absurd... of course, what it was she couldn't quite remember because the shock of her brother being there was tremendous....
Either way, Celina smiled now, remembering only the music festival and being with Connor. "And my frog jumped at you and got chocolate everywhere..." she giggled again and touched his nose lightly with the end of her pointer finger on her free hand. "I do remember some being right.. there," again, she giggled, taking her finger back slightly, her head turning bashfully away. "That was some day... huh?" she said, looking at the floor rather than at Connor. At the moment, her father would disapprove of what she was doing... but what if this was something that would help her future. Looking back at Connor, she convinced herself that indeed it would.

Connor turned to look at Celina as she shifted away from him. He could feel air sweep in next to him in the space where the girl's body had been. He gave a slightly puzzled look before moving over a few inches closer to her. If she had done it to give herself more space than he would gladly move away again, but if she had done it to give him room than he must have given her the wrong idea. He squeezed her hand lightly to show that, whatever the reason, he hadn't wanted her to go away. Quite the opposite, he would prefer that she stay close by if at all possible.
' Well, let me ask you this then, ' Connor nodded his head, waiting to hear the question. When she did ask, he gave it a few moments though. Celina had asked in a serious way, so it would only make sense that he regard it as a serious thing as well.
Did everything he did in his daily life have an effect on his future? He quirked his head just so, pondering this. He looked back to Celina, his hazel eyes meeting her soft brown ones. " I'd like to think so. I mean... like for school. I wake up so I can go to my lessons, I go to lessons to get and education, I get an education so I can get a job. And I get a job so I can be succcessful. Or... " He paused to think of another example. " Even when I'm playing or not doing anything at all, I do it for enjoyment, which surely betters me as a person. I learn to deal with other people that way, live with them as they are. " His talking ceased now, and he glanced out the window briefly before looking back to Celina, wondering if his answer was sufficient enough.
' Of course I remember... it was a fabulous time. ' He grinned slightly at her use of the word ' fabulous. ' It was a funny word. It was reassuring to him that she remembered. But then again, how could she forget? Connor certainly couldn't, it was the first time he had hung out with Celina other than their random meeting in the muggle tea shop. He was rather grateful for that too, what were the chances that two full-blooded wizards would run into one another at a muggle shop?
" I think that maybe, possibly, even subconsciously, you aimed the frog at me. " He teased, knowing full well that he didn't think it was true. Chocolate frogs only ever had one or maybe two good jumps in them before they stopped moving as much, and it wasn't very likely that Celina had intentionally wanted the frog to jump on his face. Although it would be amusing. He laughed at the memory, smiling as Celina touched his nose lightly. He reached forward with his hand and touched a place on Celina's left cheek where, when she smiled just right, a cute little dimple appeared. " If I remember correctly, there was some there, too. " He said with a soft laugh before dropping his hand back down. " It was a very good day. My tongue was green for hours. " He said, still remembering that particular day.

Her movement caused him to move as well and as she tried to get away, he moved closer so that she couldn’t. Celina giggled, finding it almost amusing and like a little game, but she didn’t continue for she didn’t want him to think that she wanted to move away from him, for she had just thought that his shifting meant he was uncomfortable with her leaning on him. Obviously, with him coming closer and with the light squeeze of her hand, it was not so. Her cheeks flushed a little and she looked away, her hair falling over the side of her face and covering it from sight as she bashfully tried to retreat without moving any further. He didn’t mind her close, and it comforted her. Maybe in that aspect he was like what her brother and Drew used to be… it made her feel more secure that way.
Listening to Connor’s response to everything that she said, Celina wasn’t as disappointed as she thought she was going to be. Yes, he did think about how things would affect his future, but not in the same ways that she did. Maybe it was that very reason why she found herself second-guessing everything she had ever done. She nodded, smiling lightly as she did so, for she agreed and was satisfied with his answer as a whole. “Yea… so do I,” was all she could say really, and even that was whispered so much so, it was almost as if she were talking to herself, rather than to Connor himself.
Celina opened her mouth in mock shock as Connor said that she, without thinking about it, aimed the chocolate frog at him. “Oh! I’m sure I would have aimed better,” she giggled. “Even, without thinking too much about it.” As he lifted his own hand, touching her cheek just briefly she leaned into his touch. It was warm and it made Celina giggle again, her face slightly heating up. “That wouldn’t surprise me,” she said softly, responding to Connor’s jest about there being chocolate on her face as well. Again, Celina laughed remembering their green and blue tongues and sighed, resting her chin on Connor’s shoulder, looking at him, her eyes crossing slightly as she giggled again; it looked as if she was making a face at Connor, when really she was only trying to focus.
“I remember. That ice crème was a good idea. What did you think of Rivalry? I couldn’t remember if you said you liked them or not…” Celina whispered, finally closing her eyes because focusing was hurting her head. “I didn’t think they were that bad…” she said turning her head to the side to lay with her cheek on his shoulder rather than her chin.

Connor felt torn, he wanted to just stay and sit close with Celina, but he also felt like walking around, doing something. For now he decided to just sit, they were having a good time talking as they were. As they continued to talk he changed his mind altogether and decided he didn't want to move unless Celina did. He felt a reassuring smile on his face as Celina didn't move away from him again, a sign that whatever he had done was corrected. " Why did you ask? " He couldn't actually remember the reason for her asking if everyrthing he did effected his future, other than her saying something about her not working more than he played, or something like that. He just couldn't recall how the question had come from their conversation, or maybe he had just missed it somehow.
At her look of shock Connor only shook his head softly with light laughter. " Oh, sure. That's probably just what you want me to think. " He nodded his head as if this was the most true thing in the world, and he had to convince her of it. The way she leaned into his touch made his smile grow slightly softer as he continued to jest. " After all, it only makes sense. The frogs only jump once so you though, ' Well, this'll be fun. ' and aimed it at me. Riiight here. " He said, touching her nose lightly as he had just touched her cheek seconds before. As he dropped his free hand back down he felt Celina's chin resting on his shoulders, and he noticed that it looked like Celina was making a face at him. For what reason he didn't know, probably just continuing the banter. He grinned in response.
" Oh yeah. Keep me cool.. and transform my tongue into odd colors. It's a two for one deal, here. " He said before answering her question about Rivalry, " They were good. Not my normal style of music, but good all the same. " He turned his head to look at Celina and saw that she had turned slightly, her cheek now on his shoulder. Her face was rather close to his and its caused a small amount of color to rise up. " What about you? " He asked, attempting to cool his face down a little but just continuing to talk. " What did you think of them? " If he remembered correctly, that had been the first time that Celina saw the band as well despite the fact that her friend was in it.
