Guy snickered at her calling him ' O Great One. ' He turned his head to her, watching as instead of walking over and getting her books or sending Guy to do it for her, she summoned them to her instead. " I thought I told you I prefer Knievel? " He ventured, looking back to her as she caught the books in her arms. " And you're welcome, really. The teasing was nothing... you know.. from a tiny girl, anyway. " Despite the somewhat seriousness in her voice and his own response, he really couldn't help but throwing another teasing comment the girls way. And seeing as how they had been joking with one another for the past half hour or so, he knew she wouldn't mind.
He grinned slightly, tucking his skateboard under his right arm and walking over to stand in front of Abby. He absently pulled his cap a little lower over his forehead, and upon hearing Abby's question he did a small double take at the girl. " Uhm... Dinner together as in, go to the Great Hall and chow down or as in.. go to the kitchens and eat junk food for dinner? " Either way, he was in. Whoever this girl was, she was fun to be around so Guy didn't mind going to dinner with her.

Abby reached out and slapped Guy playfully on the arm at his comment. She hadn't expected the conversation to be serious for very long and Guy was right on cue with another sneak comment about her height. She rolled her eyes and shook her head at him, wondering how long he was going to poke fun at her shortness. Maybe she needed some bigger shoes...
"Oh," Abby said a little stunned when he questioned her eating suggestion. She hadn't thought about the kitchens, but that had potential to be good too. She remembered the last time she had been down there; she'd met another cute Gryffindor on the way, but one that seemed to have disappeared. Pushing the thought from her mind, Abby flashed Guy a warm smile. "Up to you," she offered.

Guy stuck his lip out in a small pout as she slapped his arm jokingly at his continued teasings. He looked down to his snake bites on his lower lip and continued to frown as he looked back up to Abby. " Fine, no more short jokes. " He agreed although she hadn't suggested it. " But can I call you shortie? " He couldn't contain his easy going slightly lopsided grin as he asked this, finding shortie a much better alternative that mini friend, or tiny friend, whatever it was he had been thinking of beforehand.
" Well... you should know that, as a Guy, if it's left up to me... I'm gonna choose the junk food. " He answered simply with a shrug of his shoulders. " Soo... kitchens? " He asked, nodding in the direction of downstairs to the dungeons do they could locate the kitchens. It would probably be a little bit busy with preparing for dinner and all, but Guy was willing to bet they could coax at least one elf into bringing them something.

Abby folded her arms across her chest in a very 'are you serious?' look when he asked if he could call her 'shortie'. Unfortunately, she couldn't keep a straight face and ended up bursting into laughter. "Fine," she agreed with a roll of her eyes, "'Shortie' it is, then." She stepped down off the stair she'd jumped onto for safety, now even shorter next to the older boy. Abby chuckled softly when he decided on the junk food. She probably would have picked that one too.
"Of course," Abby mused, looking back in the direction she had been coming from in the first place. Somehow, in the time they'd been hanging out, the dungeons seemed to have gotten even darker. Abby looked at the doorway for a moment before looking back up at Guy. "It's not...really true what they say about the Slytherins, right?" she asked him somewhat seriously, "Like, they're not gonna attack Gryffindors being down there?"

He gave a low sort of laugh at the look she was giving him, nodding his head as if he was answering back, ' yes, I am serious. ' He wasn't really, but he wouldn't mind playing along. " Yup. C'mon, Shortie. " He snickered even as his said it, not believing himself for saying something stupid like that. But he kept his grin on, knowing he would just end up dropping the nickname anyway to call the girl Abby. It was easier, and her real name.
He paused, looking back down to her and shaking his head. " Not really. Snakes these days are about as cute as buttons. " He said, sort of joking and kind of referring to the fact that the Slytherins had gotten pretty soft these days. " So, no. They're not going to attack us or anything like that. " He smiled in a reassuring manner and continued forward with Abby. " You aren't scared are you? " He joked, nudging her in the side lightly.

"No, I'm not scared," Abby retorted, nudging him right back with her elbow, "I shouldn't be scared with the big, tough guy here, right?" She snorted to herself at her comment. Guy didn't seem like the type to be a "tough guy", even if he pretended too. He seemed sweet and nice; Abby could tell by the way he'd treated her during their first meeting just now. He'd been really friendly and started chatting away, unlike some of the people she'd met in the castle. He did, however, have a kind of "big brother" feeling about him and if it came to it, it seemed like he'd be a kind of protector. But that might have just been because of his height.
Reaching the entrance of the dungeons, Abby stood aside to let Guy take the lead. "Ladies first," Abby teased with a grin.

Guy nodded his head with a small grin on his face, saying, " Don't worry, this ' tough guy ' will be here to protect you from the mean Snakes. " He rolled his eyes at the idea in a joking manner, but nodded his head all the same. If it came to it, sure he knew that he would protect Abby just as well as he would protect any other person. He doubted that there would be much of a threat to them in the dungeons, but all the same he had his wand in his back pocket just in case.
" Why thank you, " He said at the suggestion of ' ladies first. ' But instead of moving forward, Guy rolled his skateboard ahead of them and set his hands on Abby's shoulders, lightly pushing her forward ahead of him. " I just want to make sure I'm protect and all. " He said, pretending to be scared.

Abby wondered what exactly his plan was after he rolled the skateboard ahead of them, but she grinned when she felt his hands on her back. As he pushed her forward, she rolled her eyes right back at him, shaking her head. "Oh, good idea," she told him, almost sounding genuine, "Put the little on in front. That's gonna bode well." Abby snickered and snorted softly but quickly covered her mouth and nose when that unpleasant noise escaped it. She really wished Guy hadn't heard that, but there was no way he hadn't; Abby could hear it echoing around them.
"That was attractive," she grumbled to herself as they continued on into the dungeons. It didn't seem that dark anymore, but it was still shadowy and creepy and definitely not Abby's favourite place to be. There was a sudden chill and Abby wrapped her robes more tightly around her body. "I could go for a hot chocolate," she told Guy, already feeling warmer at the thought of the delicious drink.

As they walked past where the skateboard had rolled, Guy kicked it forward again, remaining stooped behind Abby for ' protection. ' He knew that, in reality, if they were to be attacked or ambushed, that pushing her in front wouldn't do any good. Not only that, but it would be a rude ungentlemanly thing to do as well. For the sake of continuing his joking nature, Guy remained behind Abby, his hands gently resting on her shoulders still. " Yeah. That way, if something attacks us... You can tell me first, and then I can run. " He said nodding his head to the ingenious plan of his.
He glanced back down to the girl as she let out a snort, laughter escaping him at the same time. " Very attractive, I must tell you. " He said, hearing the mumbled words because of the silence of the empty corridor other than the two of them. They turned around a corner and Guy stumbled slightly on the hem of Abby's robes, running into her. " Ooph. Sorry. " He whispered, although he didn't know why he was whispering exactly. He dropped his hands from the girl's shoulders and picked up his board, walking next to her this time instead of behind her. " Hot chocolate sounds good. " He said with a smile, then added, " I would kill for some cake. " He nodded his head for emphasis.

Abby was exceptionally lucky that it was dark in there because her cheeks had flushed a deep shade of pink at his comment and even more so when he bumped into her. She laughed it off though, hoping he hadn't noticed. "Nice one. Get them all dirt--WHAT WAS THAT?!" she hollered in the middle of her sentence, clutching rather violently onto Guy when there was a clatter of what sounded like metal on the stone floor. It was only when she realized what she was doing that she let go of her her kung-fu, death grip on Guy.
"Sorry," she mumbled quietly, not looking at him now as she spoke. The echo of the sudden noise was still reverberating off the walls around them and a chill ran down Abby's spine. Shaking it off, Abby turned back to the direction they were walking. "Pleh," she grumbled, "Anyways..."

" What?! " Guy asked, not being spooked at the noise until he felt a hand reach over and death grab him. He jumped slightly, not registering that it was Abby who had scared him and mulled him as well. He looked around wildly, wondering what the hell had just happened. As she loosened her grip on him and finally let him go, Guy stared at Abby.
" You okay there, psycho killer? " He asked with a light smirk on his face. " It was just.. I don't know. No need to geek out, I assure you. " He said, shaking his head and wondering where on earth the noise had come from. Right as he was about to ask out loud, they were at the entrance to the kitchens. Walking forward, Guy tickled the pear with his index finger until it wiggled with laughter and the portrait swung forward, allowing both of the Gryffindors in. " Here we go, " He said as he politely held the portrait open for Abby first, then followed closely behind.

"Oh yeah," the girl replied in a sarcastic tone which seemed to be the only way she spoke to Guy, "Super." A small grin was working its way onto her lips again as she started to calm down again. Abby smiled at the older boy for being so gentlemanly and holding the portrait open and she scurried in the door, getting the heebee-jeebees again.
The moment she was in the kitchens, an incredibly delicious smell wafted into her nose. Whatever the elves were cooking for dinner smelled amazing. She wondered if they'd be willing to bring them whatever was being served upstairs to the student population as well as a heap of junk food. As Abby walked more into the kitchen, an elf came scurrying over to them. "Can I get the young master and young miss summat to eat?" the elf asked politely with wide, eager eyes. Abby couldn't help but smile down at the little creature, nodding her head.
"I'll have a hot chocolate, please," she asked kindly, turning to Guy to see what he wanted.

After regaining his former calm, Guy smiled slightly, looking over to the shorter girl next to him. Thinking on their meeting, he decided it was either the girl's compassion or her amusement at people falling down flights of stairs that had brought them to where they happened to be now. He snickered slightly at the latter option, wondering if it was more true than the first one. Not that it mattered much, Guy was just glad for the company. Especially when it came in the form of such a cute girl.
Guy began to form a list of things he wanted as soon as he walked into the kitchens, and he smiled politely down at the tiny house elf who looked eager to please the two Gryffindors. Abby turned to Guy and he nodded his head before answering. " How about.. two pieces of cake, two slices of pie, another hot chocolate... and... " He paused, thinking of other sweets he wanted. " Two bowls of butterscotch pudding. Anything else you can think of? " He asked, looking back to Abby, a small grin lighting his face. He knew that if she didn't want to eat all of the food, he would be more than willing to help her out with that.

The younger Gryffindor raised a curious eyebrow as Guy rambled off the list of things he wanted. Abby could chow down with the best of them, despite her size. She had some unnatural ability to pack away food, although it was a mystery as to where it all went. Abby was a scrawny little thing, but it didn't bother her too much. She thoroughly enjoyed pigging out and it seemed as though Guy did too.
"Hmm," Abby pondered for a moment, "I could do with some french fries, if that's possible." The little elf looked ecstatic that they wanted so much and nodded fervently before disappearing into the kitchens to fetch their order. "Hungry?" Abby questioned the boy with a grin as she took a seat in one of the chairs near them.

" French fries! " Guy said, jokingly smacking himself on the forehead. " That's what I was forgetting. French fries. " He said with a small laugh, poking Abby lightly in the side as he talked, " You've got good taste, small fry. " Word play, nice. Guy once again found himself grinning down at Abby, thoroughly enjoying her company and glad they had decided to keep hanging out even though their little skating lesson was done and over with.
In response to her question he jokingly shook his head, replying, " No, not at all. You? "
It wouldn't make sense for either of them to be in the kitchens if they weren't interested in eating some food, but he was just kidding along as always. Turning to look at the Gryffindor girl he smiled. " So... Abby. Tell me something about yourself. " A cheesy and mostly stupid line, but it was pretty much an open statement, bringing in some new discussion hopefully. He sat himself down in the chair next to Abby's, moving it so he was facing her still so they could continue talking.
