The library had become Lucas' hideout as of late. When he wasn't in the Common Room or in class, he was in the library. In his trunk, Lucas had a stash of book from back home that he was sure he'd never find in the school library. His favourite thing to read was Shakespeare and so he'd smuggled a couple plays in when he had been packing.
The Ravenclaw entered the library with his book in his hand, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, as well as his favourite sweater, the one that belonged to Uncle Keith. Lucas took a quick look around before he found himself an empty table and sat down, cracking open Macbeth and continuing his reading.

It was actually a little crowded. It wasn't often that it was hard to find a place to sit, but there weren't just Ravenclaws in there that day, it seemed like everyone was there. Of course, there weren't that many students studying their brains out, but there were quite a few nonetheless. Finding that perfect seat was proving to be a chore, but her eyes laid claim on just that, the perfect one.
However, as she rushed toward it a rather familiar blonde back of the head took her seat. Right out from under her nose. This wasn't going to work, no.
Sighing heavily, Felicity walked right up behind him, dropped her bag to the floor, and propped an elbow up on his shoulder. "You took my seat."

"Oh sorry!" Lucas apologized quickly, standing up to turn around to see a familiar someone standing there. The Ravenclaw gulped and moved away from the chair. He hadn't seen Felicity in so long and the last time he had, it hadn't really ended that well. He opened his mouth to speak more, but nothing wanted to come out. Eventually, words formed. "Oh..umm...hi," he said somewhat lamely, "Sorry, I-I didn't know you were sitting here. I can move."

With how quickly Lucas managed to stand, Felicity was nearly knocked back on her bum, but regained balance with flailing arms. At least she didn't fall all the way down. Really, the look on his face was an odd one in her opinion. No, their last conversation hadn't ended extremely well, but it wasn't the most horrible thing that happened either. They'd been a little harsh with each other, but he apologized with just that one look he gave her before walking away.
The corners of her lips turned upwards as she smiled, amused he thought she actually wanted him to leave. He could be quite hilarious sometimes.
"Hello," she greeted back, trying not to be too amused. "I--I don't want you to leave, Lucas. I was only joking with you. I just, I hadn't been sitting here, I was just going to and you popped in before I had a half a chance." Sticking out her tongue for a moment she reached out for his wrist. "Don't leave because of me. The table is big enough for two, I think, anyway."
Or did he not want to sit with her?

Lucas' cheeks grew pink as she spoke, telling him she didn't want him to leave, nor was she actually sitting there to begin with. If he'd seen her eying the spot, he would have left it for her. That just made him feel even worse. Lucas sighed again and picked up his book, closing it and sliding it into the front pocket of his sweater. "I'm sorry I didn't see you coming. I wouldn't have taken your seat," Lucas apologized. He pulled the chair out again for Felicity to sit down.

"It's not really my seat," she told him again. She watched him make his book disappear, and it kind of bothered her. Did that mean he wasn't willing to share something as simple as the table in the library with her?
As he pulled out her seat for her, it didn't really phase her, it was something Drew did for her constantly. Taking up the offered seat, she curled a leg under her and shifted herself so she could see his face. "You're going to stay aren't you?"
Yes, she had a bit of homework that needed to be done, the reason for being where she currently was, but it didn't mean she had to do it right away or that she needed to be alone to get it done.

"If you want me to," Lucas agreed with a slight smile. He wished he wasn't so...eh around her. "Eh" was all he could come up with to explain how he felt. He wished he hadn't been such an idiot the last time they'd talked, he wished he hadn't made a scene. Lucas looked at the girl with the same apologetic look he had on his face that day and sat down, pulling his book out again. "I'm sorry, Felicity," the Raven apologized, "For everything."

"Of course I want you to," she grinned at him. When didn't she like a bit of company? It was a rare time she preferred to be alone. Really, she enjoyed the presence of others, and Lucas was one of the people she enjoyed the company of most. When he sat back down, Felicity leaned around her chair to get her bag, glad he was at least staying with her. And when she say upright again, he was apologizing.
"Lucas, you don't have anything to be sorry about," she answered him. Her blonde eyebrows were knitted slightly above her light brown eyes, and the look of pure confusion covered her soft face. What had he done that she didn't know about? And more importantly, did it really matter enough for him to be sorry for?

Closing the book again, Lucas looked toward the girl, his blue eyes looking sad. He did need to apologize, whether she thought it or not. Lucas knew he would feel a lot better if he could just get it out but the words weren't coming. He sighed softly again, trying to word his apology in his head before he spoke it.
"I do, though," the Ravenclaw began, "I need to apologize for that day in the Great Hall. I shouldn't have gone off like that on Drew and I'm sorry I was so short with you too. It was just one of those days..." He trailed off slightly at the end, figuring he'd spoken enough before he started to sound like an idiot.

Well, that was certainly true. In her opinion he hadn't needed to go off on him, but then again, she'd also concluded he wasn't in a very good mood that day, especially since he snapped at her. He'd only done that once before, but he hadn't been in a good mood that night either.
However, he'd already apologized, kind of. Lucas had sent her that look he had right now, and she knew at the time what it meant. No, she hadn't been all that happy about it, but it happened and was done with. The food fight that happened afterwards wasn't the greatest thing, but it had somewhat been fun, until she got mad at Drew.
"Everyone has those days," she answered with a shrug. She was kind of having that kind of a day. "I mean, name one person you know that doesn't," she challanged.

Scratching at his head nervously, Lucas' mind had to work quickly to answer her question. Off the top of his head, he really couldn't think of anybody until he looked up at Felicity again. "I haven't ever actually seen you have one of them," he answered shyly, looking at her.

"I've had them, I promise you I have," she smiled genuinely at the Eagle. "That day in the Great Hall I had one and a couple of days ago I had one. And I'm kind of, sort of having one today," she told him. It wasn't a bad day, those were very rare and far between, but she did have bad days. If she didn't, she couldn't really be human, could she?
"It's just a matter of how well you can smile through it." Keeping her smile where it belonged, she laughed lightly. Things were too much sometimes, and now, it just all felt overwhelming, a little bit.

Lucas looked at the Gryffindor girl curiously. She was exceptionally good at hiding it if she had her bad days that often. The Ravenclaw wondered what it was that was bothering her, but was unsure if he should ask about it. However, curiosity got the better of Lucas and he had to find out. "What's wrong today?" he asked Felicity, genuine curious and concerned.

Shrugging in response, she dropped her gaze a little bit. Really, nothing had happened to put her in a bad day that day, but a few days before she'd made something happen. Even now it hurt, but then again it'd only been a few days.
"I'm not sure," she answered. "Nothings actually happened, I'm just feeling off." Pulling a pen and notebook out of her bag, she furrowed her eyebrows, carefully watching the twirling object between her fingers. "That's not true," she said decidedly, not willing to keep it to herself. If she did, that would just make things worse, wouldn't it?
"I...I'm not..." she bit her lip lightly. Would saying it aloud make it more real than it already was? "I broke up with Drew," she continued softly, almost wishing Lucas wouldn't hear her.

Lucas frowned at Felicity, looking at her with concern. He was now really worried about her, knowing she had bad days more often than he knew, Even though they weren't the best of friends anymore, Lucas still cared about her as much as he ever did. As she spoke, the Ravenclaw watched and listened. He looked away from her for a moment until he heard a few words that he didn't quite believe.
"I broke up with Drew,"
The Raven was shocked, to say the least. They had seemed like a really good couple and Lucas could tell that he really cared about her. And watching her now, Felicity just looked so sad and it was starting to break Lucas' heart too. "Oh, I'm sorry," Lucas told her sympathetically, reaching out to touch her hand, "What...what happened?"
