Alexander walked into the classroom, carrying a few notes and his messenger bag. Alex put down his bag and notes on the table and tapped the board with his wand, then a chalk that was held by an invisible hand started to write: History of Magic Lesson 1: How the wizards and muggles once lived and how they had divided.
Notable events during the time that witches and wizards were known to live alongside muggles until the time when wizards hid their world from muggles. Alex looked at the board and smiled, then he opened his bag and took out a miniature figure of the international statue of secrecy, his sketch pad that contained sketches and drawings of magical creatures, wizards and muggles. Alex put them down and then he sat down and leaned back on his chair, waiting for his class to come. "I will make this class interesting indeed" he muttered, smiling at the thought of the student's looks when they start the class. He wasn't sure how many there were to attend really, he just hoped they were enough for him to really feel like he had a class. It was his first time back at Hogwarts and he doesn't know what to expect.

"Oh Merlin, this is going to be fun," Jethro muttered t himself as he pushed open the door that lead to his History of Magic classroom. The Gryffindor was aware of the switch of Professors since last year. Mr. Marvin, who preferred casual names, more so than 'Professor Atwood'. Jet had actually enjoyed his interactive classes last year, so he had a fair reason not to be looking forward to a new Professor this year. If he guessed correctly, they would be sitting in set seats, taking notes as the teacher dribbled on about past Historical Events. Though as the boy entered the room, a lighter air that he had expected reached his senses.
Jet's bright blue eyes scanned around to make sure he was indeed in the right room, before shuffling in. "Professor." the boy said in a small nod, a fain smile on his face. The Gryffinndor noted on the small figures and drawing pad on the mans desk. Maybe it wasn't going to be that bad after all. Jethro proceeded to the back row, taking a seat in the middle. He fished out his things, before relaxing into the uncomfortable chair, ready to sit through another lesson.

Alex smiled as a student came in, he then picked up the figure and tapped a quill. While the quill was writing, Alex made a copy of the mini statue and then he tapped the parchment after the quill had finished writing. He took the new copy of the parchment and read it silently:
The internationaly statue of magical secrecy.
Was created by the international wizarding government in 1692. It was made for the purpose of keeping magic a secret from the muggles to stop the on going war between both worlds.
Fill this parchment with information that you have read, if you did read and write down the exact dates. The miniature statue is for you to keep, but pass me this parchment.
Alex nodded and then he moved to the only student there and said "Here you go my boy, work on that and I'll see where to start" he handed him the parchment and the statue. Then he asked "What's your name?" he wanted to know everyone in the class so he didn't have to say 'hey you' or something.

Jeremy slunk into class, ignored the professor and doubly ignored the boy who was already in the room. The Gryffindor was named Jeff, and Jeremy knew that he was exactly the kind of boy who liked to hit guys like Jeremy. The small Ravenclaw with the big ears took a seat far away and put his head down, knowing the best way to be inconspicuous was to pretend that you were invisible. Maybe he would become uninvisible when Hannah and Brenton showed up... maybe.
As he waited, his eyes drifted to the writing on the board. He found the bit about the statue was a little confusing, sure it had been a statute that made Wizarding a secret. He had heard enough about it when he had messed up back home. He also wasn't sure if he was supposed to be insulted by the general topic or not. It sounded like the class might turn into some Muggle-bashing. Jeremy slunk down into his seat a little further and wished Hannah or Brenton would hurry up.

Alex looked around and saw a boy there, Alex took the statue and copied it. As much as I hate to teach about this statue I need to, maybe I can cut this short he thought. Alex then wlaked over to the boy and said "Hello, I'm Alexander Griffiths. This is our few minutes topic, we'll move in to soem other topic later, i'm not gonna bore you guys to death" he smiled at the boy and then tapped the board, additional writing started to appear: Statue of secrecy... a bore and will only last as a topic for a few minutes, I just can't find my topic notes. Excuse the boring few minutes kids.... Alex then faced the two students and said "I'm here on my desk, don't hesitate to ask me questions" he smiled at them and moved to his desk. He looked in his bag, drawers, his pile of notes.... Where are my history notes? he thought. Alex sighed as he finally found them, he tapped the board and the words changed: We'll be learning about Giant wars, I'll be passing down drawings and illustrations of the Giant wars. Write your observations and use them to review, no assignments today Alex then walked out of the classroom and to his office, he retrieved his sketchpad and then returned to the classroom. He then started copying his sketches and then when he was done, Alex stood up and carried the copies to the two students. "Here you go" he said, giving the gryffindor his copy and the Ravenclaw his copy. "Tell me your names though kids, I don't really like carrying lists" he said, returning to his desk and sitting down. He looked at the two students and sighed, atleast there was still a bit of relaxing silence. ((P.S. make it up as you go))

So apparently this professor didn't get fooled by the invisible game. Jeremy's big eyes grew even wider as the man approached and spoke to him. The man sounded friendly enough so Jeremy figured his cousin was right. People couldn't tell he was a halfer by just looking at him.
Again, the board changed and Jeremy noticed more about the statue. He almost asked about it, but was too afraid and slunk down even further when the professor approached him again. The picture looked pretty neat, but Jeremy wasn't sure what he was supposed to do with it until the board changed a third time. He quietly and carefully got out his parchment and quill, hoping that if the man didn't believe the invisible game, he'd believe the mute game.

Taking his time to get to class, Brenton slipped inthe extremely quiet classroom. Where was everyone? Looking down at his watch, he was pretty sure even he was cutting the time close to be getting into the classroom, but he didn't dwell on the thoughts too long when he saw Jeremy sitting in the back. Even without squinting Brent was sure he could see those big ears a mile away. Ok, so he was exaggerating, but it was funny.
"Hey Jeremy," Brenton whispered, somewhat huskily as he slipped into his becoming-usual seat next to the Ravenclaw. Looking around, Brenton didn't see a flash of dirty-ish blond hair, so he wondered where Hannah had gotten off to. Since she'd finally arrived back, the snake was glad to have his Princess back in the picture, but it'd be nice if she sat with him and Jeremy in at least one class.
"What are we doin'?" he asked, seeing something on the board, but not being able to make it out do to poor eyesight.

Last year classes weren't that much fun for the young Ravenclaw girl and History of Magic was another class last year where Hannah really didn't learn anything besides how to get herself into a big mess. Hannah was great at getting herself into one of them, and she seemed to get into a mess quite often. It just really wasn't in her personality she supposed, to live a quiet life.
Sighing as she entered into the History of Magic room, expecting to see Professor Atwood there with his silly hat on, Hannah was surprised to see a new Professor and even more surprised to see there was already a topic on the board. The girl with the dark blond hair didn't think she was late... but, she wasn't too sure when she spotted Jethro and gave him a smile, then Jeremy and also Brenton.
Quickly walking over to where Jeremy and Brenton were sitting and taking the other available sit next to Jeremy, she gave the two boys a smile too, her brown eyes heading back to the board and reading something about the statue of secrecy and then her brown eyes returned to Jeremy and Brenton. "I'm not late, am I?" Hannah asked, still thinking she wasn't, she was sure there were others in the first year class than the four that the classroom held.

"You two are still early, and now that I have enough students I will start my lecture. Hmm....no nevermind the lecture, just observe my sketches" he said, Alex walked over to the two students that just came in and handed them a copy of his sketches. "Kids, please...please tell me your names. I'm not a fortune teller and I certainly am not a vampire who drinks the blood of kids, I'm a wizard. You guys can count me as a friend, you can forget saying professor and that will be more fine for me. Just please, introduce yourselves because I find it impolite not to call people by their proper names" he said, looking at the four students.
"If no one would care give their names to me, then I won't be able to grade you guys" he said, looking at them. Alex sighed, Playing invisible and now playing mute he thought. Alex then had a brilliant idea, he smiled at the kids and said "You guys just gave me an idea" Then he ran out of the classroom and up to his office, then he returned a bit later carrying a small wooden crate. "I'll not only be telling about the Giant wars and history of how the muggles and wizards divided, I will be showing them to you" he explained.
Alex put down the small crate on the floor and waved his wand, putting the empty tables to the corner and moving the tables with occupants a bit together and back. "What I'm going to show you are old insian style story telling techniques, indian wizards use these still" he said, smiling at his class. Alex then walked over to the crate and opened it, then he took out projector tomes. "I have a different way of doing it though" he said, showing them the tomes. "These are projector tomes, I use them to let my students see history at a different way, not by words, but by the real events that we've gathered here. One tome, is one kind of history. one of these are about Giant wars, and the other is the division of muggles and wizards" he explained. Alex then sat cross legged in the middle of the room and set the first tome down, "Ready?" he asked.
((please please....mention your character's name in your post))

Claire skid into the history of magic classroom with the fear that she was late right when the professor mentioned something about two being early. She obviously had no clue as to what was going on in this class but the second year was getting this inclination she was late dispite what the teacher said before. At least since he started the lesson it seemed that way. Then this professor asked people's names. "Claire Desrosiers" the Slytherin girl said quickly.
Of course, not long after that, the new guy ran out of the room and back with a wonky new contraption the girl had never seen before. Apparently it was something used for seeing history but how was that possible? History was the past and the only way Claire heard about seeing the past was by using time-turners but apparently those were an incredibly rare find. Might as well just stand back and see what happened in the meantime.

Half expecting either Jeremy or Brenton to give her a answer of whether or not she was late to this class, Hannah jumped ever so slightly when the Professor told her that she wasn't late to the class and was in fact, still early. Hannah made a mental note for future History of Magic classes to keep her voice down as low as possible, while she was attending the class. The young Ravenclaw didn't think she had been talking that loudly for anybody else to hear her, bar the two next to her.
Listening still to the Professor, he asked for her name, as well as her classmate's names and the young girl began to fidget in her seat just a little. "Hannah. My name's Hannah" Hannah informed the Professor, but thinking she should've gave her middle name instead. "Ready for what?" Hannah asked the Professor, watching the Professor with great interest when he got something called a tome out. "What do those things do, Professor?" Not understanding the bit about seeing History a different way, the girl couldn't see any other way to learn about History than out of a history book.

"Hello Claire" Said Alex, then he moved a table beside the two other int he middle for her and then he smiled at Hannah. "Good question Hannah, but we do know how to recreate it" he said, then he waved his wand and smoke figures of centaurs ran around the room. "Does that answer your question?" he asked Hannah. Alex then explained "These tomes are projectors of our visual story telling, we do this for those who find it hard and boring to read history. Well... I did, my colleagues liked reading, but I got bored... so I proposed to make this" Alex shrugged, then he opened the tome and smoke figures of fighting Giants appeared like a hollogram projection.
Alex walked over to his students and sat on the empty seat beside the newly arrived slytherin, "This is what happened to the Giants back then, you can see them fighting and notice the different smoke colors. Those are the indications that these are different tribes, they kill eachother for food and better territory. Now though, only the leaders fight" he said. Alex then just sat there and let the students watch the projection. "I'm just here if you have questions" he said.
((P.S. these are not graphic, just smoke fighting smoke))

Jeremy shrugged back at Brenton and shook his head in response to Hannah's question. No, they weren't late and the Ravenboy really wasn't sure what they were doing other than looking at pictures of giants.
The professor started speaking again and Jeremy paid close attention, distinctly hearing the man say that he was a vampire that would suck the blood out of kids. Despite what Drew had said to the contrary about vampires in general, Jeremy knew that he didn't want to be anywhere near any vampire. Maybe if he was sick then the vampire/professor wouldn't suck his blood. Jeremy gave a small cough to prove he was coming down with a viral infection that would eventually kill him and anyone who dared suck his blood.

It had taken a while, but Izzy was finally beginning to get the hang of how to navigate her way through the castle. She had already managed to experience the staircases, one of which had changed on her and the other that she had gotten her foot stuck in, as well as the several rooms she had found that had been there one day and gone the next. That had been when she'd had some free time on her hands with which she'd spent roaming the castle, trying to find the classrooms she'd be learning in. She hoped that by doing that, she'd be able to get to her classes on time.
She had been pretty certain that she had managed to accomplish that, as she had just passed a clock on her way to her History of Magic class that told her she would be about a minute or two early. So, once she had made down one of the corridors on the first floor, she was surprised to hear that class had already started. At least, that was what she assumed - the professor was talking, the students had worksheets on their desks... and a sinking feeling formed in the pit of Izzy's stomach.
"Damn," the first year muttered as she wondered how many points would be deducted from her house for being late. It took her a few moments to compose herself before she entered the classroom and looked around, just in time to see a smoky figure come charging toward her. "Whoa!" she said, a little too loudly, as she quickly backed out of the classroom just as the figure ran right where she had been standing only seconds ago.
What the hell was going on with this school? Was it trying to kill her?
Poking her head into the room, Izzy waited until she was sure nothing would attack her, then entered it. Her green eyes landed on a desk closest to the door for only a second before they roamed the room again, as she was still suspicious that something else would try to attack her. Ignoring the other people in the room, who she was sure had seen her, Izzy slid into her desk, her eyes still wandering.

Alex froze the projection as he heard someone in the door, then he stood up and sighed. A first year, must have gotten herself lost to be late here he thought, Alex walked over to her and said "Hey, what's your name? and don't worry, those are just projections, they're not real. Come on, sit with your classmates or you can just sit here and I'll accompany you. You seem to be my only first year today" he smiled at her and then he handed her a parchment that would help her catch up. "Here, keep that. Those are notes that they've just copied earlier" he said, then he slipped in the seat beside her.
"Right now, we're watching a projection of the Giant wars. The two colored giant smokes are two different giant tribes, you happened to walk in as we were starting to watch it" he explained to her, pointing at the tome in the middle of the room. "You going to be ok here with me? or do you want us to join the second years there?" he asked kindly to her. She seemed to be a bit shocked by what just happened to her. "And by the way, no points are being deducted here in my class. It's alright" he added, still smiling.
