This could have been farther from the party that Shay held last year, yet she had been excited to hold the first party in her first apartment, and eager to have anyone from the apartment come along. The only difference now was that she couldn't stand the sight of her own four walls, and found that she wanted a loud, dark place with great music and a great excuse to dress up. Enter... Wicked Times. She had long since lost touch with Reina, the founder of the club and her former classmate in Hogwarts, so she didn't bother to search her out if she couldn't find her after a year. Sure, London was huge, but for the Wizarding community, finding people of the past was like shooting fish in a barrel. And so she kept her trip to the club somewhat inclusive and not limited to a party reservation. If all or none of her friends wanted to come, she wouldn't have cared. It was times like these she didn't mind to act her age and just do something like dance the night away. That night, instead of sitting the night out with her sweats and a good book, she bypassed the comfort clothes and the junk food in favor of the corner of her closet, in which a lone party dress hung there, hungrily calling to be out and about, mirroring her own intentions. The dress was loose yet flirty, brightened with the geometric shapes of pink, reds, and whites. As soon as she slipped it on, she was all smiles. Within half an hour, she had her hair teased, her lips shining, and her cheeks rouged. Her eyes sparkled under the shadowy makeup, showing her relief to know that she still could look decent. After all the work attire, it was hard to determine if she still possessed femininity. With a slip of her tall boots, she was out to apparate in front of Wicked Times. She hadn't asked her best friends to come along right away with her because she wanted them to come at their own time, aware that their schedules gave a strain. She instead fancied to come in by herself, immersing herself in the darkness, and letting the music pump inside her head and inside her soul. It would be a great time. The first thing she did was get to the bar, where she ordered up a drink, and looked around the place carefully, sighing slowly. "Happy birthday to me..." she said outloud, but it was easily drowned by the music.

It had been a while since he had been to a party, longer still since he had been to Wicked Times, and while he felt a little empty going anywhere social without Felicity, he really wanted the chance to hang out with old friends and celebrate Shay's birthday.
Dressed in jeans, a clean white shirt, and a jacket, he probably stuck out like a sore thumb as he walked down Knockturn, but he really didn't care. He opened the door to the club with confidence, shouting hello to the bartenders and finding his own way to where Shay was. It looked like he was first, but again, he didn't care. He was just happy he had been invited.
"Happy Birthday to you!" he answered back as he came up behind her. The place was still fairly empty, but he knew it would pick up quickly.

Brittany walked down Knockturn Alley quite unsure of where she was going. She could only ever recall entering the area once before and it had not made a very good first impression. The young woman looked down for the most part, concentrating particularly on not getting her heel caught inbetween the cobblestones. Occasionally, she looked up just to make sure she hadn't passed the place that Shay had indicated on the invitation. The small bit of paper that she had recieved from a messenger owl that morning was stowed away carefully in her tiny bag golden bag. Just for safe measure. It had said that she could invite others if she wanted to. Having permission, she left a quick note for Nathan where he would find it. She wasn't sure if he would be able to make it, especially on short notice. But she wanted to at least invite him just the same. Not knowing where to apparate, she had just ended up at the one place that she remembered about the area and went from there. Coming around the corner, she was sure that she had reached the middle of Knockturn Alley. There stood before her a building with a lit up sign broadcasting the words, 'Wicked Times'. She could hear the music out on the street and remembered randomly reading a piece about it's opening in the paper. Walking through the door she entered the club, wondering how she would find Shay exactly. The invitation had given a time or anything specific really. It looked like it had been scrawled out last minute. With the knowledge that it was at a club, Brittany had decided that her gift would have to be opened another time. She had taken the time to actually curl her hair so that it looked like she put a bit of effort into what she looked like. Long, brown spirals snaked down her back with a thin, braided piece holding back her bangs in the front. Not knowing what to wear, she had gone with the casual yet attractive look. The dress she wore was a plain, jade green color that was adorned with a bejeweled collar. It clung in the right places and cut off just above her knee. She had thrown on a pair of gold heels she found in the back of her closet and decided that was good enough. Squinting into the darkness, she suffered the wait of letting her eyes adjust to the dim lighting. Finally spotting the bar she waded her way over to an empty stool. At the sight of a familiar brown head of hair, a wide grin broke out on Brittany's face. Just before she made her way to the woman of the hour, she saw Drew walk up. Excitedly, she hurried the rest of the distance that seperated her from her friends. "How are we this lovely evening?" Brittany greeted the two of them happily. Dress

For a small moment she felt just a tad awkward as she just stood there, a drink in hand, and looking around for anyone. She sipped the drink cautiously, visually bracing herself for the taste of alcohol, although she was sure that it wouldn't take too long for the taste to be hard to notice. The other night with Rollo she knew especially when to stop when the third and fourth shot seemed to go down a little easier.
For a second she thought about Rollo, and whether or not he'd show up. If he did, she was sure she could get him to stay and get to know some more people. For the most part she reckoned that he was somewhat her age, so she figured it'd be good for him to hang around his peers.
Thoughts drifted slowly as she moved her hips a little to the new song, and she almost would have completely lost herself if it hadn't been for the arrivals for Drew and Brittany. "Hey you guys!" She said as she gave them their own hugs, starting with Drew. "Brittany, you look smokin', honey!" She grinned and raised her glass at the two of them. "You two are the first to come! I hope more come..."

Brittany was fueled by Shay's enthusiasm. When she had approached her friend, she thought that Shay seemed a little sad. She definitely had not had a birthday look on her face. The night was all about her and she had been standing there alone at the bar. Brittany wished that she could have taken off early in order to get ready with her. They could have arrived together then, but work had detained her. The library didn't close until eight making it impossible to escape any time before then.
"Me? Look at you! I love this dress. For twenty you are not looking to shabby!" Brittany exclaimed, teasing a bit with the end phrase.
The woman standing before her looked terrific and the boots made her even more taller than Brittany than she already was. Brittany's heels did nothing to aid her elevation problems. However, she barely thought a second more about her height as she turned to Drew. He looked very casual and she was completely jealous. Guys were so lucky. They could fit in at a club by just wearing jeans and a shirt. There was no way Brittany could take five minutes getting ready and appear presentable. Even though she took five minutes getting ready most of the time. There was no one at Hogwarts that she needed to try and impress. Not in the library.
"Not a doubt in my mind more will show. The night is young!" Brittany reassured the young woman standing before her.
Turning towards Drew she smiled happily at him and asked, "How is everything going?"

"Allegra's on her way and I hope you don't mind, but I asked my buddy Franco to come along," Drew told the birthday girl, happily accepting the hug and returning it with one of his own. He didn't think Shay had ever met Franco, but he knew Brittany had. Too bad Franco wouldn't remember the Gryffindor any. Drew had already given his old housemate a heads up though that there might be old school chums who recognized him.
"But besides, who needs more people?" he continued, scoffing at the idea. "You have the coolest people right here. What more could you ask?
"But I'm doing good," he answered in response to Brittany's question. "Two gorgeous women, how can I not be?" He gave a wide and cheesy grin at the older girls. "I hear you're at the school now as Librarian. How's my favorite napping spot in the back corner doing?"

Shay laughed often now that they were there. She was supremely flattered by their compliments, and began to feel better about her appearance. The time it took to get dressed wasn't monumental, but a good amount of time was spent frowning at her hair, which she would have rather straightened to break out of the curly routine she had taken on the last few months. In retrospect, though, it felt trivial with the good comments.
"Franco?" Shay inquired already, and dug her memories for a mention of his name. It did sound very familiar, and she strained the files of her history in Hogwarts to match the name. "Oh! Wasn't he once a little boy by accident and he called Reina a 'beach'?" She laughed out loud at the memory. "She got so mad that day because everyone else started calling her that." She continued to laugh about it as she heard what they had to say about their well being. She had seen Drew not too long before, but Brittany had been a different story. Since she took on the new job, it was hard to get around to seeing her fellow Gryffindor sister. Yet she was all the same interested in knowing how she was.

It took him a while to get in the right place, even with all the instructions Drew had given him, Knockturn Alley was one of the places he had not set foot in at all, he was told not to and now there he was going to a party...
Strange place to go for a party, he could not help thinking because all the rummours he had heard about that alley was enough to avoid it; he even had dressed up according with the rumours about the place: not watch, not chains, just wearing jeans and a plain shirt, and sneakers to run faster if necessary.
He read once more the piece of parchment with the address, then looked up at the place's sign, sighed slightly relief that he had found the place and walked in thinking it would be better than stay outside. At least he thought that till he actually was inside, then he wondered if it wasn't better be out, it looked less dangerous outside, at least the not-too-nice looking people weren't in groups outside...
He moved carefully trying not to get that close to anyone, eyes looking around nervously looking for Drew. It did not take him too long to find him with a couple of girls, luckily, they were the only normal looking ones in the whole place...
"Hey Drew!" He called out raising his hand trying to catch his friend's attention while hurried toward them.

Brittany raised her eyebrows at the news of Franco possibly attending the party. She remembered having met him a few times but never talking to him much. However, her mind slipped to the fact that since Drew had invited someone it would a 'okay-go' signal for her to have invited her own plus one. Shaking the thought away for the moment she listened attentively to the conversation. The young woman was excited by the news that Allegra was on her way, glad that the three girls would all be united again.
At Drew's announcement that Shay had the coolest people in front of her, Brittany couldn't resist nodding her head enthusiastically. Even if just the two of them showed up, they would make it a crazy party. At Drew's response, she couldn't help but laugh. It was a true statement. Okay, maybe in their minds but still. The comment was very flattering and she appreciated the cheesiness of his efforts.
"I am," Brittany reaffirmed her position at Hogwarts. Remembering all too well Drew's usual napping place in the library, she thought briefly about whether it had been used as of late. Sadly it seemed that all kids came into the library for was really to do homework. She didn't understand. Had Ravenclaw taken on more kids than usual? It made her job so boring to not have troublemakers.
Brittany replied to his question with a sigh, "Sadly it has gone unoccupied for quite some time. What is it with kids these days?"
As another guy approached the three of them and yelled out Drew's name, Brittany turned to barely recognize a much older Franco. The young girl smiled kindly as he approached their little gathering.

Drew shook his head in sad disappointment. "I suppose they just don't understand what the library is for," he told Brittany, hoping she would know he was teasing.
"Franco! Dude!" Drew heard his name and called back, waving the blue-haired Peruvian over. Shay had remembered correctly. Reina had hated it when the whole school started calling her Beach. And Drew distinctly remembered a discussion with Brittany on the "good-ness" of small fingers.
As Franco came over, Drew renewed the introductions, knowing that a lot of stuff had happened while Franco had been in Peru. He didn't remember anything of Hogwarts even when so many remembered him. "Dude, this is Brittany... and Shay," he said, motioning to each girl in turn.

Rollo was very unsure of why exactly or even when for that matter he had decided that going to this party was a very good idea. He realized that at the time he had agreed to do so he was full of piss but still even then why would Rollo agree to go to any type of social gathering? Why did Shay have to be so nice and for that matter why did she have to be so persuasive? Rollo supposed that this was something she had picked up at the Daily Prophet but then had to stop and wonder if she had even been that persuasive at all or that deep down Rollo wanted to go to this. He had in fact considered inviting Luce but upon realizing he was going to end up getting completely plastered that night thought it better that he just not mention it at all to her. After all Wicked Times was a bar and Rollo found that he gravitated to those quite a bit.
Moving slowly he wondered why he had for once chosen to wear a suit jacket. His usually white v-neck was on but wrapped around him was his only suit coat of any form and Rollo could at least say it matched his shirt as it was also white. Brushing his shoulders off he checked his pockets calmly for first for his cigarettes, then for his lighter, and lastly for his wand and money both of which always rested in the same pocket. Pulling a cigarette from the pack with his teeth he lit it calmly and then made his way to the front door checking Duo's food bowl on the way. He had finally gotten actually cat food for him and had also found out the cat preferred water to milk. Making sure the TV was on for the cat he gave a mock salute that also acted as a wave and spoke to the animal as if he could understand him. For some reason Rollo had a small sneaking suspicion he actually could though.
"Well mate behave yourself and try not to keep the neighbors up with the telly."
Rollo trotted down the stairs knowing full well that his neighbors below neither cared about any noise he made or his cat for that matter just as long as they didn't try to talk to them. Rollo of course was fine with this and had no qualms what so ever not speaking with his neighbors. His feet now firmly in front of the door he decided that he would much rather disapparte for once rather then walk. After all he'd be walking back wouldn't he?
Rollo appeared with a pop outside Wicked Times and shook his head once more questioning what exactly he was doing here. It was so to speak not Rollo's scene. The loud noises and the possibility of flashing lights that awaited inside caused Rollo to shudder as he had no urge what so ever to attempt to scream over the music to try and get a drink. The headache that would also ensue was most likely one that he would in no way shape or form be as simple as the ones he developed in his morning afters from the Cauldron and Rollo held a large feeling in his stomach that his usual morning detox routine would in no way do the trick. He had though told Shay that he would be here so he would be there and with a large swallow and a step forward Rollo Winner entered a place he never thought he would.
His perception of the noise was in fact right on but as of right now there were no flashing lights and silently he hoped they would not enter the bars dim interior anytime to. Rollo inhaled smoke letting it drift from his mouth and made his way over to the bar. Motioning through the noise Rollo managed to make the bartender understand that he did in fact want ten shots. If Rollo had to actually talk to people he better start early and as the shots appeared Rollo began to drink in a way that would make most university boys blush in embarrassment of their own skills. Lighting the last one calmly he quickly downed the first nine and then with ease as if it was something he had done a million times Rollo sipped the last one tasting the fire slightly and then downed it quickly. Rollo Winner had decided to get completely shit faced and intended in fact to take himself to a place he had never been before. Now though as he motioned for more he glanced over noticing Shay, Drew, the man Franco from the other night, and a girl he didn't know. Calmly Rollo downed nine of the new ten shots and calmly lighted the tenth on once more. Scooping it up and walking over to the group he didn't attempt to scream over the music but simply mouthed Happy Birthday to her motioning a cheers with the flaming shots and calmly Rollo downed it hoping no one actually expected him to talk.

"Hi... Nice to meet you" Franco said polite with a shy nod feeling rather out of place but still trying to do his best to fit in. He leaned toward Brittany first to give her an air kiss as it was his custom; then moved toward Shay and did the same not before move closer to her ear and wish her happy birthday. With the noise of the place he thought it was best to do it that way so she would hear him clearly.
He had then not noticed The drunk man of the other day approaching to the group at first but just after till he raised up to his full height and stepped back besides Drew.
"Hi!" he then said simply to the man with just a nod of his head and turned his attention to the other three, specially to Drew as he was the only one he trully knew.

((OOC: It took me a minute to remember the 'good-ness of fingers' conversation. That is so random. ahahahaha. Memories.))
Brittany faked a look of shock at what Drew said and then laughed it off. Sleeping was pretty much how he had spent any of his time in the library. As opposed to his sister, who never left because she was stuck in a book. Suddenly, she wondered where Allegra was at since people seemed to be arriving more frequently.
"Hello Franco,” Brittany greeted him and obliged with his way of greeting. She had noticed that he had said that it was nice to meet her, which was curious. Because she was sure that they had met before but she just shrugged it off as not remembering her since they weren't ever close. Not knowing any other information.
Not moments after Franco finished greeting both of them, another man came up to their group. As he raised his flaming shot glass to Shay and mouthed a happy birthday to her she wondered who he was. She had not seen him around before, yet that was due to her own lack of a life. However, he did not look like the conversation type so she hesitated on an enthusiastic introduction. Maybe she would just wait to be introduced. It was easier that way. Much less awkward. Brittany looked to Shay, counting on her to come through for her.

With the appearance of Franco the next moment, she didn't need Drew to confirm it for her. The years had certainly taken him from adolescence, but she could recognize him nevertheless. The two of them never had any conversation, but when she was still starting out in Hogwarts, he was one of those people she knew sort of by reputation. "Welcome, Franco!" She said with a smile and went with the custom just as well. It was a good thing she had a drink in her hand, or else she would have hugged just about everyone there.
She thanked Franco for the birthday greeting and immediately spotted Rollo as he had mimed his own greeting. "Rollo, hey!" Shay said in contrast to his lack of producing a voice. "Excuse me," she moved a little past her guests to meet with her new friend. "Everyone-- this is Rollo Winner! Rollo, this is Franco, Brittany, and Drew!" Her hand motions to each guest quickly pointed out who was who, and her smile was very host-like. "See, it's not a bad bunch," she said closely to him. Shay took to being warmer to him, because she knew how out of place he'd be feeling. "Things will only be awkward if you literally act like it's awkward..."

Allegra had been running a bit late and was made later by a lecherous "gentleman" by the entrance to Borgin and Burkes who attempted to strike up a conversation. Allegra was happy to show him the business end of her wand. She wasn't always as sweet and naive as she came off.
Rushing into the club, she looked around for familiar faces, knowing at least four of the people who would be there. When she saw her brother's head sticking above the crowd, she made her way over just as Shay was introducing Rollo. Make that five people she knew.
"Hey guys!" she greeted cheerfully, her unpleasant encounter in the Alley already put aside. She presented the wrapped gift she held, a bottle of expensive liquor and a pretty bangle bracelet made from gold and red glass beads labeled with a card that said it was all from her, her brother, and Franco. "Happy birthday Shay!"
