"You think so, huh?" Drew laughed, finding it funny that she was basically telling him how to get her back. It was pretty much what he had been thinking anyway, but it was still funny. And of course, what good would a pinning do if he wasn't going to try to get a kiss out of it?
And then she took matters into her own hands, looking at him with those gorgeous brown eyes and tugging at his sweater, pulling him in closer. He made a small noise of surprised pleasure before moving in for a kiss. Yeah, he could handle this kind of payback, even if she did decide to stick her hands on his back again.

Humming a response, she did think so. Not only would it be fun and she'd enjoy it, but it was interesting. Probably not something she'd like done all the time, but she felt she could handle it now and then. Besides, it was likely to be a bit more comfortable without the chill of the snow against the backs of her hands when he was holding her down. While she loved the snow and could usually put up with the temperatures just fine, it could get pretty cold against bare skin.
The immediate kiss. Felicity was rather surprised he didn't playfully fight her, and actually went right in for the kill. A part of her was waiting for him to tickle her, another part for him to tease and make her wait, and yet a third was still on guard waiting for him to do something.
On the other hand, she was glad to relax a little bit and just enjoy the kiss he was giving her, especially if it was how he was getting back at her. Unless he was trying to lull her into a false sense of security...

Leaning on one hand to keep his balance over her, his other found the side of her face and he wove his fingers into her hair as he kissed her. They were probably as cold as hers had been, but he wasn't really thinking of that. The only thing on his mind at that moment was getting as close as possible to her.
He could feel her, smell her, taste her, and for a moment he considered testing that proverbial line, just to see if it had changed. Instead, he took a deep breath and backed away, just enough to still keep his forehead against hers. He wanted to tell her he loved her, but didn't, afraid it would just sound like a line to get her to cross that line.
"I made dinner..." he said softly, breathing hard and trying to focus on the ice under his hand and knees.

The closer he got, the more intoxicating his scent was, and at that moment she was sure it was a good thing her nose wasn't buried on that one spot, for if it was, she didn't know if she'd be able to pull away. He was leaning in awfully close to her, and that was bad enough, making her not want to let him get out of the kiss as he pulled out of it. Of course, it wasn't really her decision if he needed to pull away for any reason.
With his forehead against hers, Felicity brought her hands up to sit comfortable around the back of his neck, her fingers in his hair. While it wasn't as long as it had been before break, the curls were slowly coming back, and this made her smile.
"Dinner?" she asked as though she'd never heard of such a word before. Food was good, he was an excellent cook, but there was so much snow and so little they'd gotten done in it. Then again, she was sure he wasn't really planning on packing it all up and ushering her out as soon as they finished eating.
Leaning in she placed a gentle kiss on his lips and another, before kissing the end of his nose.

He accepted her small kisses with a smile, nodding in response. He didn't think she really knew why he had felt the need to pull out of the kiss, but he was glad she hadn't gotten upset.
"I've got chicken, vegetables, potatoes... and milk," he answered, thinking it sounded like a lot of their meals together. Good thing there were about a million ways to cook chicken.
He gave her another small kiss before moving off of her and offereing his hand to help her up. Sometimes he actually got the chance to do that.

Actually, that list did sound a lot like their usual meals when they ate together outside of the Great Hall at meals times. Maybe they'd have to shake that up a bit, sneak down into the kitchens to make something different, but at least it was safe food, something they both liked. And he had chicken and milk, she would've been fine with just those.
"Milk?" she smiled. Felicity loved milk, it filled her stomach quicker, and it tasted really good. "It's supposed to do a body good..." she told him with a smile. "And I drink an awful lot of it..."
Yes, she was trying to get a small rise out of it, merely just to get one, as she loved it when he made silly comments to her silliness. Accepting the kiss, but much more willingly than him getting up, she grudgingly took his hand to pull herself up from the snow. However, she noticed one little thing that was missing from his list and was willing to push dinner off for a bit more even if it was just to chat with him about meaningless things.
Wrapping her arms around his neck, she smiled up at him. "No dessert?" she asked, giving the slightest of pouts, but still one worth laughing over as she didn't really mean it.

There were a number of things Drew could have made that didn't involve the usual standbys, but for her birthday, he wanted to make sure it was going to be a meal she would like. How awful would it have been if he had tried something new and then she didn't like it.
And of course there was dessert, but he just grinned back and raised an eyebrow at her, keeping it a secret for himself for the time being. There really wasn't any reason to of course, other than it was fun.
With her arms around her neck and her soft brown eyes looking, it always gave him a warm feeling and made those butterflies in his stomack a little more active. Still keeping the tease of the dessert to himself, he swayed back and forth for a moment. "You may have to eat my cooking to find out," he told her.

Raising a blonde eyebrow back at him, she wasn't sure if she wanted to eat his cooking. He still hadn't taken an opportunity to get back at her, what if he'd done something to the food? It wasn't likely, but there was always a chance, and it wasn't something she wasn't about to speak up about.
"And what if you poisoned dinner?" she asked innocently. "I mean, you still haven't technically gotten me back yet, what if you predicted all of this was going to happen and then poisoned dinner ahead of time?" Then again, the boy didn't take divinations. But there was always a possibility, plus, she liked teasing and joking with him.
Keeping a suspicious eye on him, she went silent for a moment, just thinking. "Or what if you did make a dessert and you poisoned that?" He knew she liked chocolate, what if it was all a ploy?

"Then what would I eat?" he asked, grinning at her silly questions. Of course, if it had really been his plan to poison her as a get back, he would have figured that all out, but the truth was, poisoning dinner was about as preposterous as magicking all of the snow away.
"Wait... so you didn't like how I got you back?" he asked, raising an eyebrow again and stopping his swaying. He knew she didn't mean what he was implying, but again, it was fun to tease.

"What if you only poisoned a part of it? The part you were going to give to me?" It'd been done in cartoons all the time, but usually it was messed up somehow or other. Still, she knew he hadn't done something like that, but it was fun to make little teasing accusations anyway. Besides, he was playing along.
"Well..." she trailed off. Of course his way of getting her back was pretty fun, but he hadn't gotten her back the way she was used to being gotten back. "If you getting me back is by kissing, then I think that's something I can live with."
Smiling, she stood on tip toe to kiss his jaw. In fact, if it was his way of getting her back, she could definitely do something to have him get her back a bit more often.

"See, only poisoning part of it is always risky," Drew pointed out. "Say for example that you insisted on having a drumstick and that was the part I kept poison free. I start pushing the wings on you and you get all suspicious, right? Or the whole deal of only poisoning one side of the meal. Now who can really keep track of that with all of the preparations. It's nearly impossible." The strange thing was, that as he was talking about it, he was thinking of ways in which he could actually do something like that. Of course, he'd never do it on Felicity, but perhaps a certain Deva leader would consider sitting down to share a meal? No, he doubted Shaw would fall for such a ruse.
It was good to hear she did like his technique for getting her back. It was good because he liked that method as well.

"You could've poisoned the part you knew I would take, or just fixed my plate," Felicity suggested. Then again, what if she did stray from the normal? That could've put Drew in a sticky situation. Best if he just fixed her plate up for her. Or if there was dessert, just poison the dessert, that at least would make things easier, for her anyway. If he poisoned the whole of it, that meant he shouldn't eat it. If he poisoned a part of it and gave her the non-poisoned part by accident, well, another sticky situation.
"So we should go eat, huh?" she asked regrettably. While she was still teasing him, knowing he really wouldn't poison food on her, she was also being half serious, if they went and ate, it meant she'd have to let go of him.

She was sure coming up wtih elaborate scenarios, all of which he found funnier than the previous ones. If he had been serious about poisoning anyone, he probably wouldn't go that route and the thought of actually poisoing her was just preposterous.
The plan was dinner, but she didn't seem too excited about it. He wasn't sure why, but didn't think it was anything to be concerned about. "We could, but we don't have to," he told her, wondering if she had something else in mind. It was her birthday after all. "It'll keep if you'd rather do something else."

No, they probably didn't have to eat, but he'd cooked for them, so it was likely something they should do. Besides, it was going to be a good meal, she loved his cooking and there was chicken, her favourite food. The only thing she didn't like about this dinner was it meant having to let go of him so they could walk to the food, they could sit down, and they could eat properly. That was the only bad thing about eating dinner, besides she was pretty sure her stomach was getting ready to rumble a bit, she hadn't eaten lunch that day, which was highly unusual, she'd been too excited about the letter she'd gotten that all she did was sat at the table.
Grinning from ear to ear at Drew, she shook her head. "I'd always rather do something else with you," she answered kissing the shoulder of his sweater. "But eating is a bit more important than some of things I'd rather do." It was a truthful admission, and she knew she had to eat at some point or other. "No matter how fun they sound..."
With that she softly brought her hands down from around his neck and gently pulled at his sweater to get him to lean down a bit so she could kiss him.

Drew grinned and raised an eyebrow at her answer, but could feel the blush creep up his neck as he jumped to his own conclusions about what she meant by something else. Of course he really liked doing those other things too, but she was probably right. Those could wait and they should really eat at least a little.
But as she kissed him again, he really didn't want to let her go to walk over to his table set-up. As a compromise, he securely wrapped his arms around her and barely lifting her off her feet, made his way towards the canopy, kissing her enroute.
