"You're getting red," the Gryffindor felt the need to point out to the Eagle. The extra colouring always made him look so cute, almost younger because of the fact he was indeed blushing. While he always looked nice to the brown-eyed girl, there were sometimes when he looked more so, the extra added effect of a forming blush being one of those times. But as his lips met hers, she couldn't really take any more playful jabs at him about it.
The kiss started off normal and she waited for him to break it off to get food, but instead got a pleasant surprise of the slightest of pressures against her body when he lifted her off her feet. It was smoothe, she had to admit that. But it only gave her more reason to let the kiss continue a nice slow route. She liked the really slow kisses, they just felt so precious as though time was just settling down and moving with it. Whether it was true or not, or perhaps it was just a bit of added magic, she didn't know, but she really did enjoy them.
And a small, light giggle was added to the kiss when he did lift her off the ground, it just felt so funny she couldn't help it. Though, her arms did move back up over his shoulders, one wrapped around the back of his neck while the other let its hand find the way to the back of his head where she could be sure to play with his hair and at the same time not allow for him to pull away too soon.

He answered her giggle with a low one of his own, finding the trip to the dinner table quite enjoyable. When he got to the canopy covered area, he carefully stepped off the snow and let her back down to her feet. He kept the kiss up a little longer before breaking away and smiling down into her bright amber brown eyes.
"Funny... I kind of miss the snow now..." he said, looking up at the underside of the canopy. The warmth from the fireplace kept the area fairly warm, but there was no snow falling on their heads anymore.

Being carried wasn't always uncomfortable, but this time slightly was because of the position she was in in his arms, though she really didn't mind when he kissed her like that. And when he pulled out of it, she did her best to keep it up for any amount of time longer, though was quite unsuccessful. At the moment she thought it completely unfair he was so tall, he could easily try and keep a kiss up on her, but not she him. It really wasn't fair.
Smiling back at him, she felt she could probably finish out her day and be perfectly happy just standing their gazing into his blue eyes. Though, it sounded unrealistic, but she really felt she could do it, at least she did until he looked upward where there wasn't any falling snow.
"I thought you didn't care much for the snow," she told him, poking him gently in the side. "And besides, once we eat, and enjoy the fire, we'll get to get back to it, won't we?" They still had a lot to do. They hadn't even made snow angles yet, all they'd done was mess around in the fluffy white mounds that had fallen to the floor in the time since he'd casted the spell, for her.

"I like the snow," he protested softly before a small smile appeared on his face. "I just like it better with you."
Food wasn't much of a priority at the moment, but he was pretty sure that about an hour after he left Felicity's side, it would be. Maybe it was a good idea to take care of that now, especially since he had made dinner. Besides, her plan sounded pretty good to him. "I think I could probably handle enjoying the fire a little..."
The problem was he'd have to let her go to actually sit down and eat, something he was reluctant to do. Still, he knew it probably needed to be done. He gave her one more quick kiss before he dropped his arms and reached over to pull out her chair for her.

Now it was Felicity's turn to redden slightly. It wasn't embarrassing, far from it in fact, but the fact it made her feel extremely special made the colouring appear more. He found the snow better with her, much like she didn't think she'd ever enjoyed it quite as much as she did with him. Shyly, the blonde Gryffindor smiled at Drew and quietly added, "I like it better with you too."
True, she'd always been a fan of the snow, the cold, the chill, the fun, or winter, but for some reason it just seemed much more enjoyable with someone to share it with; especially when that someone was named Andrew Thornton.
Kissing him back lightly, her arms fell slowly from around him as he pulled away to get her chair for her. It was sweet, something she really couldn't get over loving that he did for her. Pulling out her chair, making sure she was seated before he took his own seat, every little thing of the sort, she just loved it.
"Thank you," she told him gratefully, sitting in his nice and warm, though slowly chilling clothes. Her jeans on the back of her chair didn't bother her in the least bit, and when she was comfortable in his clothing, she didn't mind in the least that she'd been forced into that awful dress. It was odd that he'd actually thought to bring something for her to wear, but she loved it, and actually was thinking about not returning his sweatshirt for a while. The socks she could return, and the pants were currently iffy, but she was thinking she might just claim the sweatshirt hers for a little while at least, until it didn't contain his scent any longer.

He felt his face flush again when she answered him and his smile grew even wider as he took his seat across from her. He knew she loved the snow. It was why he had worked so long and hard to give it to her for her birthday. But to know that she liked it even better with him? That made it all extra special.
Once seated, he carefully revealed the different dishes: rosemary chicken, scalloped potatoes with cheese, and steamed broccoli. All were things he liked, but he knew she'd enjoy them also. "You want me to serve you, or you want to do it yourself?" he asked, not sure of her preference.

Holding her hands in anticipation under the table, she inspected each dish he revealed carefully. It all smelled mouth-watering, and knowing that he was a pretty good chef, she was willing to bet it tasted as scrumptious as it looked and smelled. As he asked what she preferred, she didn't actually have an answer right at hand. There wasn't anything she wouldn't eat, but at the same time she wasn't a child that needed her plate to be served for her, on the other hand, she didn't really know what to think.
"If you want to serve the plates, I can fill the glasses," Felicity offered after a moment's hesitation. "You said you brought milk, correct?" And if she'd heard correctly, it would give them both something to do and she wouldn't feel helpless nor odd...

"Milk!" Drew cried out, tipping his chair and stumbling over it as he moved back to the edge of the snow where he had left the bottle. He had given it a shallow burial to keep it cold and pulled it out easily before trotting back to the table, uprighting his chair, and taking his seat again.
"That would be good," he finally answered with a crooked smile as he placed the bottle on the table and popped the top off.

The sudden shout and movement startled Felicity slightly and she gave Drew a peculiar look as he moved about. Yes, she'd said milk, but why did he react as he had? It only took a moment longer for her to find the answer, her own big smile returning his as she rolled her light brown eyes, accompanied with a bit of laughter.
"A bit over-dramatic, aren't we?" she asked her boyfriend before sticking her tongue out and taking the bottle from him. Of course, not knowing herself how long it'd been sitting in the snow, perhaps he might have thought it froze over a bit, but still nothing to really worry about. With the snow not being very deep as it was, it she doubted it would've frozen completely unless he'd left it there since morning.
Pulling both glasses closer to herself, she carefully measured a good amount in each, thankfully without spilling any and replaced Drew's glass near where his plate was set.

Drew grinned back as started serving up her plate. "I was worried I'd forget something, so I'm glad you reminded me is all," he answered. He had brought the milk up from the kitchens when he brought up the dinner, so there wasn't the worry of freezing, but it would have been bad if he had totally forgotten beverages.
When she had a decent sized serving of each dish on her plate, Drew placed it in front of her and served his own, trying not to take too much just in case she wanted seconds. Of course, there was dessert and he always had a spare couple of apples if worse came to worst.

"You didn't forget anything," she smiled at him carefully. No, it hadn't really started off very well, but she also needed to learn to think of other things before being brash about something. And while it'd been her new years resolution to be better about things with him, and things had only seemed to have gotten worse, she really wanted to try harder. The blonde hated being mad at him, making him upset, and she felt bad about doing it so much. There were just times she didn't think very well, and it had been one of those times again.
Everything was perfect, the snow, the flowers, his clothes, him. It was definitely making up for her day, for many days, and he hadn't ever had to do any of it for her.
Looking down at the food he'd placed in front of her, she offered another smile and waited for him to be served and ready to eat as well. It looked delicious, smelled delicious, and she was sure would taste the same.
Though, there was something she kind of wanted to do, and while she knew it was kind of rude, it sounded nice.
Pushing her chair back, she stood and grabbed her plate in one hand, the glass in the other, and moved closer to Drew, placing a kiss on his cheek. "Come with me?"
Walking away from him, she placed her things down on the floor as close to the fire as she could get, and turned to watch him and see if he'd follow. The table was nice, but the fire nicer, and being closer to it was nice, but nowheres near as much as it would be if he was with her.

He was a little surprised when she got up and moved towards him. His eyes followed her, obviously puzzled, maybe even concerned, only clearing some when she kissed him.
He didn't find it rude in the least, but he was intrigued. "Where are we going?" he asked, still confused, but willing to follow along. His question was answered as she took a seat by the fire and he broke into a grin as he realized what she was doing. He placed his plate and glass on the floor next to her before going back to the table and pulling it back a little more, giving them a bit more room at the hearth.
"Picnic, huh?" he asked as he returned and took a seat next to her, kissing her lightly on the lips.

"You'll see," she answered playfully as she took up her spot near the fire. The fire was pretty, and while she loved that he pulled her chair out for her and made sure she was seated before he took a seat, she wanted something a little different. How often was it they got a chance to eat so close to a fire? Not very often.
As he followed suite and placed his thing on the floor near hers, her smile widened, but became a little unsure when he returned to the table. At least until he started rearranging the furniture; then it returned to normal, smiling at him, for him.
"Mmhmm," she answered as he kissed her. Merlin did she love his kisses. They were warm, sweet, tender, and so special. Without opening her eyes, Felicity leaned against him and wrapped her arms lightly around his body, embracing him. While she was hungry, she preferred to really just hold him for a moment or two, even if they'd both agreed they should eat.

As she snuggled up to him, Drew's arms found their natural place around her, and he leaned his head on hers so he could enjoy the smell of her hair. Of course, the plan had been to eat, but if she wanted to do this instead, then Drew would comply. It was her birthday after all.
Not that Drew really had a problem with any of it. With the table pushed back, there was no longer that physical obstical, reminding them that it was time to eat. They could eat later. Snuggling in front of the fire was a lot more fun anyway.
'You know I love you, right?" he whispered into her hair, the words escaping before he could stop them. A part of him hoped she hadn't heard. It wasn't that he didn't mean them, but he wasn't sure he was ready to say them out loud.

With as many things as they'd done together, she really couldn't remember sitting in front of a fire with him, not like this. Inside, with snow falling everywhere outside of the canopy, being so close to him that his scent tickled her nose, mingling lightly with the aroma of dinner. Being in his arms, where she felt safest when she wasn't home, where it really felt like everything was all right, and would be all right, no matter what the problem was. The first night of the Deva invasion, when she'd been highly upset, he'd held her a little, and when they argued now the plan was to hold onto one another, which seemed to be working out for the most part currently. There was just something about being in his arms.
The honey brown eyes were closed, just taking in the moment, enjoying what was being offered before her at the time being, reminding herself to thank every star that night that she got to be in his arms.
And then she imagined something, hearing him say something so extremely precious to her, that every butterfly once more took off from their roost in her stomach to spread through every part of her body. But would she really go so far to make something of that sort up to herself? Felicity hoped not, and very slowly she pulled back, not from his arms, but enough to be able to look at him square in the eye.
A small smile crept over her lips as the blonde fifth year looked intently at her boyfriend, pretty sure she hadn't imagined him saying such soft, sweet words.
But what if she had imagined it? Felicity didn't want to make a fool of herself and randomly say something aloud that shouldn't be said...and she'd told him all ready that she loved him.
Well, actually she'd said she thought she did, but she knew that wasn't the truth, there wasn't any thinking needed to know how she felt. And then again, she did say it when she was breaking up with him, did that make it less sincere so she should say it again?
