Cooper took a running start and jumped right onto his Dad's back and wrapped his little arms and legs around his body and held on tight. He looked over at the rack beside the door and picked a hat off it and plopped it on his head, turning it backwards. "Come on, Daddy. We're gonna be late," Cooper told his dad, kicking his feet lightly into Nathan's side, pretending he was giddying up a horse.

Nathan nearly toppled forward when Cooper leapt onto his back but he chuckled and kept his balance, standing up slowly and watching a little hand grabbing on of the hats from his collection. "Here, gimme that," Nathan said, taking it off his head. He adjusted the size from the back and slid it back onto Cooper's head so it would fit now and not fall off on the way there. Nathan chuckled as he felt little feet in his sides and he started out the door, shutting it behind him.
As they reached the castle, Nathan and Cooper entered the Entrance Hall. The first person he noticed was a girl standing there. But she was already talking to someone. Still, Nathan made his way toward her with Cooper bouncing along on his back. "Hey Allegra," Nathan greeted her with a smile.

Cooper snuggled farther into Dad's shoulder as they got closer to the castle and Cooper noticed there were more and more people around. He didn't really like strangers, but he was close to Dad, so it was okay. As they entered the castle, Cooper looked around at the great new site. He hadn't been in the castle yet and his little mind raced with all the things he could do and find in this castle. If Dad would let him roam free.
Dad was talking to someone and his voice brought Cooper back in from the fantasy he was imagining. He looked around to see who it was and Cooper smiled when he saw Dad's new friend Allegra. "Hi Allegra," Cooper said shyly, digging into Dad's back again.

"I was going to wait for a few more people to show up," Allegra answered the Gryffindor, more people of course, meaning her brother, but it seemed that they had enough people around to get going, especially once a couple more student leaders showed up. "Hey, Connor... Tianne," Allegra greeted the other prefects, surprised they didn't know her, but at the same time, realizing she really shouldn't be. After all, she had been out of school for over a year now.
"I'm Allegra. If you guys just want to mingle, see if anyone has questions, take them around to see the school, that would be great," she told them as she noticed Nathan and Cooper approaching. "There are refreshments in the Great Hall if you want to try to herd people there first. We all know how long that train ride is."
The Lee boys greeted her and she smiled back, looking at Cooper perched on his dad's back. "And excuse me young man. I hope you've gotten your wand. Do you know which house you would like to be sorted into?" she asked the boy seriously.

Cooper buried his face even more into Nathan's shoulder. He did have a wand, a pretend one anyways, that he carried around with him that was sitting in his back pocket. He pulled it out and showed Allegra. It was just a stick he had found at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, but it was good enough for him. "Is there a house that's blue?" Cooper asked, "That's my favourite colour. I wanna be in that house."

Turning to see the boy from her year, Felicity wondered if it was possible he'd be more agreeable than he'd been in History of Magic that one time. It would be nice if he was. The blonde didn't know him, but she didn't think she really liked him too much. Maybe he'd just had a bad day then? It was possible.
"Hi," she greeted somewhat nervously both of the older students. She'd just met Tianne that summer, but hadn't ever really met Connor, though he looked nice. Maybe it was just a one time thing, what happened in History of Magic.
Turning back, Felicity looked around to see if the tall Ravenclaw had made his appearance yet, but didn't see him anywhere. Nodding to Allegra, Felicity sighed slightly, still not sure about what Allegra said to do.
Give them a tour? Where were they supposed to take them? What were they supposed to be shown? Did they take them as a group? Individually?
Truthfully, she felt jisted a bit, especially when Allegra's attention turned to someone Felicity didn't recognize. The child was a cute gig, but she didn't think she really liked the way the preson looked.
Shrugging it off, Felicity turned away from Drew's sister, sighing. Mingle?
Walking up to one of the boys (Chris), Felicity put on a smile and greeted him and his family, trying to be friendly and not trying to let herself think of tings she could've told her mum to not make her come.
"Hi, welcome to Hogwarts," she told them with a smile. "If you'd like to ask any questions, feel free to and I'll do my best to answer and also we can proceed into the Great Hall if you'd like for some refreshments before I give you a tour?"

Drew had arrived at Hogwarts early, apparating into Hogsmeade that morning after his presence had been requested to help set things up. Once things seemed to be organized, he had slipped away to investigate the castle, wondering if his new badge got him into any new areas. Allegra, who had been Head Girl two years past, assured him it didn't, but that didnt' stop him from trying and Drew had spent a good couple of hours roaming the halls
Disappointed that his sister seemed to be right, Drew eventually made his way down to the ground floor, using a secret route he already knew to end up near the head of the grand staircase. Hearing a number of voices down below, he quickened his pace, jogging down the stairs and refraining from making the slide down the bannister. That probably wasn't the best thing for parents to see a Head Boy doing. He swung past Felicity and gave her a poke in the side before hoping up next to his sister, not wanting to bother the Gryffindor while she was on the job and needing to check and see what Allegra needed him to do.
"Taking them a bit young, aren't we?" Drew asked, noticing the little kid hooked onto some guy's back. Drew had heard the small boy mention a blue house and that, of course, made the seventh year grin. "Sounds like we're getting a new Ravenclaw."
He didn't think he had time to chit chat when the whole point was to orient the firsties, so he smiled at the man and the boy, but turned his attention to his sister. "Hey, what did you want me to do?" he asked, still not sure why he was even there.

Matty Wentworth. Quidditch Captain. It was still sinking into her young mind. The Hufflepuff Fifth year had practically squealed when she caught sight of that badge in her Hogwarts Letter, a few weeks ago. Lets just say, it was the last thing Matty had been expecting. She was so nervous about having to chose the team, train everyone up... and most of all, she wanted to prove that she could do her job just as good as the previous Captains. Krissy had made some big shoes to fill, and not that the teenager minded trying to fill them, but she just wanted to succeed, and keep her team members enjoying the game as well.
The girl had considered passing the First Years Orientation, but there was something that came with her new role in the school. She felt as if she should make an effort, maybe get to know some potential Hufflepuffs. The girl had caught the Hogwarts Express in the nick of time, and had to settle sitting in a carriage by herself for the trip. Once the train had arrived at Hogwarts however, Matty felt much more comfortable. Dressed in gray denim shorts that came a bit above her knees, and a white tee-shirt with many neon logo's on it, the girl was happy with her choice, as the day was proving to be somewhat muggy.
Matty helped to direct some of the families to the castle, staying back to make sure no one was left behind. She reached the castle a bit after everyone else, looking around for the other student leaders that would be around somewhere. Once she reached the 'general meeting point', the Huffle's bright green eyes caught the view of the older students. She made her way through the first years and their families, walking up besides Tianne and giving her arm a small squeeze. "Hey, I didn't know you were coming." Matty said in a small voice, smiling at her best friend. She also noted Conner, a Slytherin she had befriend, standing near by. The Huffle gave him a wave, also in the general direction of Allegra and Drew, before turning back to her Raven friend. "What're we suppose to do?" she asked, glancing around, still a little nervous, at the newbies of Hogwarts.

Emory ran around mad because they were a little bit late. "Mum! We're late!' Emory yelled slightly. Her mum walked over to her. "Emory Jade! Slow down! It'll be okay if we're a little bit late!" Her mum replied. Emory made a face, but giggled. They walked to one of the carriages that led to the Hogwarts castle. They hopped inside, and the carriage started to go. "Mummy I'm scared." Emory said finally as she broke the silence between her mum. Her mum laughed. "Emory darling, it'll be okay, really."
They got to the castle and Emory was in awe. "Oh my gosh it's beautiful!" Emory let out a small gasp. "Just as I remember." Her mum replied. Emory's dad wasn't able to go. He was at work. Emory wanted him to go, but he just couldn't get off. They got to the grounds and got out. There were many people there. Some older; some who were probably the same age as Emory. "Whoa.."Emory whispered. She stood next to her mother's side as they walked around. Emory was being very shy. It made her mother laugh.

Connor wasn’t sure of what else to say, he was slightly grateful for the arrival of someone else as they walked over to the small gather crowd. She looked familiar but he couldn’t manage to place a name with the face until she started talking to him.
T-something. Tina? Taylor? Tianne? That must be it. “ Yeah, I’m Connor. I just.. got prefect. “ He said in a still somewhat surprised way. He had had most of the summer to get used to the fact that he, of all people, and gotten prefect, but it still sounded a little foreign to actually say to someone else. While he had told his parents, sister and even Celina, he hadn’t yet told anyone else. It felt kind of nice to be able to tell someone else, even if he didn’t really know who she was all that well. He was, however, pretty confident that she was a year younger than him. Perhaps she had gotten prefect, too?
He raised in his hand in a wave to greet… whoever the young woman was that said hello to him. Either his memory was failing him today, or he really didn’t know who was who at Hogwarts as much as he thought he did. She, too, looked familiar and he finally managed to remember who she was. Thornton’s older sister… Allegra, that was it. He nodded as she introduced herself, glad to know he had remembered her name correctly. Connor glanced over to the incoming first years with a small smile on his face before turning back to Allegra. “ Okay, “ He answered softly, wondering if any of the first years already in the Entrance Hall were going to be in Slytherin. “ Hi, Felicity, “ He said with a short nod of his head to his classmate. “ Matty, “ He said in response to the girl’s wave in his direction. He smiled, remembering his first encounter with the girl in the room of requirement.
Deciding to do his best and ‘ mingle, ‘ Connor excused himself from the group and made his way over to an incoming first year with blonde hair(Emory), her mother in tow. She appeared to be awestruck as she looked around the castle and Connor couldn’t blame her in the slightest. He introduced himself to the two, “ Hi, I’m Connor, Slytherin Prefect. “ It amazed him how easily the words rolled off of his tongue. He smiled politely at the two of them and asked the young girl, “ So, do you know what house you want to be in? “ He was trying to strike up a conversation with the girl, and if she didn’t know the four houses he would have gladly explained them to her.

Allegra looked over at Drew and made a face at him. Probably not the most mature greeting from some one on staff, but fully appropriate for a sister and brother.
"Mr. Head Boy, if you're done looking for secret passages that aren't there," Allegra started with a tease, extremely proud her brother had gotten the badge. Drew would have never admitted it, but she knew he wanted it. "Do you want to start a tour going in a while?" A few more first years were still filtering in, but it didn't look like too many more would show up.

It has been a bizar day. It had stared normal enough, she had woken up a little early to her taste, had breakfast, and then had to endure a two hour car ride to King-Cross station during which her mother spent the entire time talking about what she should and shouldn't do. They arrived and then her day started to get really weird. She had to walk through a wall, how strange. After a few tries where she veered off when she thought somebody was watching she stepped through and boarded the train. She was easily the smallest one there but she was used to that.
Things only got stranger when she arrived at their destination and was brought up to the school in a magic carriages. She followed the stream of people up into the great hall. She stood near the door and watched as everybody milled around. It was going to be interesting.

Emory glanced at everything. It all amazed her. Literally. She felt so much younger than she actually was just because of all the excitement in the air, and the excitement that she had. Her mother couldn't help but to laugh. Emory looked up at the boy and smiled. "Hi Connor. I'm Emory Taylor, and this is my mum Emily." Emory replied as she smiled sweetly at the boy. Her mother also smiled. "Pleasure to meet you Connor,"her mum said as she turned to Emory, "Im going to go look around." Emory nodded and her mum turned to take a walk.
Looking back up at Connor. "Uhh... I want Slytherin, but I dunno if i'd be able to get in." She shrugged slightly.

Chris was pulled from his reveries of daring rescues via swinging upon a rope from the seventh floor to the first, a young girl wrapped in his arms her adoration of him oozing from her delicious smile, as an older girl approached and addressed he and his Mother and brother (Caleb). "Hi, welcome to Hogwarts. If you'd like to ask any questions, feel free to and I'll do my best to answer and also we can proceed into the Great Hall if you'd like for some refreshments before I give you a tour?"Mrs. Nagle scowled at the girl and looked down her nose at the girl. "We've already been through this three times, thank you." And she tried to walk away effectively, though Chris and Caleb chose not to follow her lead. The latter was looking strangely at the girl. "I don't know you, do I?" Caleb asked, though his question could've been easily mistaken for a mutter as he spoke softly. Rather, Chris seemed to enjoy the sudden attention being paid, if not directly, to him. "Thanks." He replied to the salutation cheerily. "What year are you?" He tried at some pleasant conversation (if small) himself. Caleb was still squinting at the girl (probably trying to place her in his memory from his days at the school as a member of Hufflepuff). Jolting the moment, Mrs. Nagle chose to interfere by gripping her elder son's arm and yanking him away, but when she made a move at Chris, he effectively dodged it, running into the girl on accident. "Oops! Sorry." He flashed a smile.

The response she received for her welcome wasn't one she was expecting. In fact, if they'd been through it so many times, then why did they bother with showing up again if it wasn't a big deal? And if it was a pressing matter on time or money, the first year could've come alone, though, she wondered if his parents were like hers. She hadn't been allowed to go around on her own until the summer before, and as a first year would've been forced to bring her family, not that she wouldn't have anyway.
"Oh." It was all Felicity could think to say in return. A screw up as a Prefect all ready, she told Drew it'd been a mistake choosing her. Holding her hands behind her back, the light brown eyes glanced around at the other first year students, and she wondered if one would come to her instead of making her go to one of them, but before elaborating more on that thought a question was directed toward her. "I don't, no, I don't think so."
Though, she'd thought that with two others that summer and should've known both. One from her House and year and the other from her class, maybe she did know the boy in front of her? But Felicity didn't recognize the boy, and unless he'd just graduated, she wouldn't be able to except if they'd run into one another in Diagon or Muggle London. She'd only started school the previous autumn.
Turning her eyes to the boy she assumed was the soon-to-be first year, Felicity tried a little smile, lighting up her face a little. "I'm a fi--well, I was a fifth year, I'm going to be a six year though, when the term starts."
It was so odd to say it, foreign words. A sixth year. One last year with Drew at Hogwarts.
And then with a sudden jolt of her own, Felicity was brought back from all thoughts and nearly plowed over by the boy she'd just been speaking with. And due to her balance, she fell right back on her bum and could only think that she was thankful she at least wasn't in a skirt this time.
"That's all right," she smiled up at the boy, not daring to look at his mum. What a horrible person she was, if she didn't want to attend, she right well didn't have to. Relaxing on the floor, propping herself up by keeping her hands down behind her, Felicity flashed a smile at the boy. "I'm Felicity by the way. Felicity Hjort, that is. It's a pleasure to meet you."
