Krissy's eyes watched Alexander with the stiky apple all over his face, saw his attempt to wipe it off, and heard his words. A slight twang of hurt flashed through Krissy's green eyes at his words. Of course. He wouldn't know. Wouldn't care. Wasn't like he knew anything. Maybe it was her own fault. Maybe she just read into things too much. But he was the one that would grab her hand, hug her, and make her feel special. Maybe he just did it with all girls? Or perhaps just the ones he deemed attractive. Was he really just like all the other boys?
The professor's yelling didn't scare Krissy infact she half hoped the woman would take the blonde away and remove points from her for starting the throwing of the food. It wasn't that Krissy had problems with the girl, instead it was more she seemed to be all over Alexander all the time. That just annoyed Krissy which made her wish she got in trouble. However instead the woman decided to stop in front of Krissy and criticise her. Krissy scowled and despite the womans next words (Krisy doubted she would get expelled for throwing food) she spoke back. "Me of all what people?" she said, probably loud enough for the woman to hear faintly, glaring at the woman as she walked away. Krissy's mood was already pretty bad and having a professor look down on her as if she was the worst thing in the world was not what she was ready for.
"Does a piece of metal mean I'm not allowed to stand up for what I Lo..." Krissy didn't finish the sentence, her voice fading off into nothingness. Realising what her next word would be without finshing it and deciding it was a useless effort anyway as no-one would even understand anyway. Krissy saw Felicity begin to clean up and glanced back to Alex momentarily, not understanding his look but at least picking up the confusion, yet not understanding why or how he didn't know what he was doing. Krissy frowned and turned away from him, beginning to move up the table slightly away from them. As he moved she saw the potato be flicked by the Quidditch referee, she was half tempted to run up and hug the man there and then. She would at least thank him later on. Instead she plopped herself down at the table, a bit up from where Alexander and Felicity still were and burried her head in her arms on the table. She would stay there for a little while and then leave, but not to Hufflepuff. Half of her wanted Alexander to follow her to where she was, the other half wanted him not to come near her again. She wasn't sure what she wanted anymore.

Seeing as though many had listened to her and were doing as they were told, basically sitting down and knocking off the nonsense, Annemarie also went back to her dinner feeling pretty proud of herself for being able to hold down the fort of respect and tolerance, even if she did have to be strict about it. In time, she figured, the students would come around and see why what they had been doing was wrong and in so many ways disrespectful, if not just plain ungrateful. Though Annemarie’s pleasant thoughts of hope and satisfaction stopped short as she felt a glob of something hit her in the side of the head, rather than the back.
She knew what it was before she even reached for it. Placing her recently picked up silverware back down on the table, Annemarie gently placed her hand up to the side of her head to remove the mashed potatoes that had been flung at her. Annemarie knew who had done it. Wasn’t it obvious from the direction it had come from and the still raised fork? A fellow co-worker, someone who was supposed to be at least showing a decent amount of respect for her even if he didn’t like her because of what she had just done. She had tried to keep order, and now, with the newly found spurts of giggling around the hall, and the potatoes still meshing within her hair, Annemarie felt a sudden rush of emotion come to her.
Annemarie’s face was emotionless, however, as she stood and started to walk towards the younger man who obviously had just about as much common courtesy as any of the students had just been showing. No wonder the students were acting the way they were with the role models they had to follow, and in Annemarie’s eyes it was clear to her how the Deva had ever entered the castle to begin with. Without help, how was the Headmistress supposed to defend and honor the students? Without help, how did anyone think the school was safe?
As she reached to where the young man sat, she looked at him with her brown eyes, and her dark angelic aura stung with anger and embarrassment. “Thank you,” she stated loud enough for Chadwick and possibly a few of the students to hear that were sitting close to where the High Table was located at. “Thank you for showing me what kind of respect for another you are teaching the students. Not to mention tolerance. It’s no wonder why we have a problem with people like the Deva,” she said, stating the latter a bit more silently than the beginning part of her conversation so that only Embers would hear it.
Annemarie’s eyes burned with growing moisture as she decided to then leave the Great Hall. If even her own colleagues could not respect her, than how was she supposed to show the student body that respect did exist? How was she supposed to show tolerance of others? This school was not the Hogwarts Annemarie had attended and maybe that was why there was a new organization that wished to purify the world. Maybe it was because of how the students were being raised now how the Deva came to be and into power. Annemarie didn’t know, but what she did know was what impact the smallest of actions could do to a whole, and if that was what kind of people she was working with truly were, it was no wonder to her how the Deva so easily invaded and held them all hostage for days on end.
Annemarie walked slowly through the rows looking forward as she did so as to not show any one her eyes that were now filled with the embarrassment and shame that only one could have when not knowing what to do, and being mortified in front of an entire body of students for doing what she believed was right. Her strength she found would have to come from a deeper well that she was not accustomed to sinking to, for she had never encountered a work environment that worked against the way of right, tolerance and respect for one’s own living brothers and sisters. And most of all, she had never met colleague who was just as bad as a child, and represented all that was evil and corrupt within the world.
And with that last thought on her mind, Annemarie Van Aller walked out of the Great Hall, ashamed and really bewildered as to why God would open up such a great opportunity to her, just for her to be shown so cruelly how much work at Hogwarts really needed to be done.

Under normal circumstances, if Drew had been asked to take sides between a professor he didn't know and the guy who was snogging his sister, Drew would have taken the side of the random professor everytime.
But he didn't like being preached to and had he heard the woman's words to the Quidditch ref, he would have had something to say about them, damned the points. Perhaps she was a perfectly pleasant woman under other circumstances but everyone needed to blow off some steam every once in a while, especially after such a trying month. Now that quidditch had been taken away, was it any wonder that the students had acted out? Perhaps the Ref had recognized that. While it was odd that a person in authority had flicked food at another, the guy hadn't preached at them and treated them like a bunch of naughty four year olds.
When the woman left Drew stood back up and smiled at the man. "Sorry Mr. Embers. We'll clean it up." Heck, the guy deserved a lot of respect in Drew's book and if no one else agreed, Drew would willingly clean it up on his own.

Krissy retorted at the Professor and Alexander agreed until a statement he swore was misheard left her mouth. He turned around back toward her, wonder on his face as she stopped short and Alexander tried to think of all the possibilities she could have been referring to. Then it clicked, she was going to say ‘love’ in refrence to the school…right? Alexander didn’t know, but as she left his side, she almost looked hurt. Maybe he’d really done something this time to upset her on accident, or maybe it was what Professor Van Aller had said to her, but whatever it was Alexander knew that she needed him.
Alexander briefly glanced at Felicity and watched as she continued to pick up food, and missed everything that was happening at the high table as he walked to where Krissy had set herself with her face in her arms. As he neared her, he still tried to remove the rest of the sticky, sugary mess from his face with not much more luck than he had from before. Alexander sighed, and as he sat down next to Krissy with his back to the table, he buried his own face in his hands. He didn’t understand why Krissy was upset, but he didn’t know what he could have done to make her that way either. Maybe it was the professor’s doing.
“I’m sure she didn’t mean that you were anything bad, with what she said…” Alexander played devil’s advocate, which he felt that he was going to regret in a few minutes if he didn’t act a bit faster to what he meant. “I mean…I don’t think that professor meant anything derogatory…” ok, so Alexander had no idea how to cover for himself. Gently he lifted his hand and placed it on Krissy’s back, hoping she wouldn’t shove it away, though he would understand if she did all the same; and with that he said nothing for Drew’s voice of surrender rang through the Great Hall. I’m not picking anything up, Alexander said to himself, thinking of how he hadn’t thrown any of the splattered food.

"Because flinging potatoes can really lead to the crimes committed by the Deva," Chad called after Annemarie as she stormed out of the Great Hall. He couldn't really understand why she was making such a big deal about a little food fight. It wasn't anything a little soap and water couldn't fix.
As the boy spoke, Chad actually cringed at those words. Mr. Embers. Chad held a hand up, trying to get Drew to stop when he started cleaning. "Please, call me Chad," he corrected him first and then flashed the boy a smile, now realizing who he was, "And don't even worry about it, dude. I can get that." He winked at Drew and came around the table to help clean up. "So who started the food fight?" Chad asked, hoping to strike up a conversation with the boy. He hadn't had a chance to talk to Drew yet since he'd started seeing Allegra and Chad really wanted to become friends with him.

Snake tried to stifle a giggle as she watched the professor get nailed with a spoonful of mash potatoes. After the professor had left the hall Snake said softly so that she hoped only Jax could hear but also with laughter in her voice, “You think we should come out from under the table yet?” She grinned up at her friend, perfectly aware that the only way she could comfortably get up was when Jax wanted to because if she got up now she would probably knee her or nock out one of her hands from under her. “Or we could just sneak out.” She said and glanced pointedly down the tabled towards the door. They could crawl to the end of the table and then just slip out and go for the door.

Jax wasn't sure of all that happened, but she was pretty sure that it wasn't good. It only got worse though after Professor Van Aller left (was she about to cry?) the Great Hall and Drew was telling that Embers guy (Jax definitely knew that she didn't like him. Cancel quidditch...what in bloody hell?!) that they'd all clean it up. Forget that! Jax yelled to herself as she listened to Snake and watched as her friend looked down under the table to get toward the door.
"Please...call me Chad..." Jax whispered under the table mockingly so that only Snake could hear. She let out a bit of a stifled giggle, and pointed towards the door. "Let's get outta here before the two up there show even us up," Jax rolled her eyes and gently got herself off of Snake and headed towards the Great Hall's exit. Clean the Great Hall? Embers was damn right Jax wasn't cleaning no Great Hall...and what was with the Chad thing? No wonder Drew thought this guy was pretty cool. Her eyes rolled again. It was obvious to the thirteen year old there was more to the two guys than met the eye.

Drew smirked back, but knew better than to call the guy by his first name. Drew had never had to be so formal with any of his sister's other boyfriends, but none of her other boyfriends had ever been staff before. Maybe he'd drop the Mr. Embers in private.
"I think I did," Drew answered the question a little sheepishly as he started wiping up some of the spilled food. Once he got a good pile, he could Evanesco it easily, but it was a waste of energy to use a spell on every little dribble. "I was passing the gravy and it kind of landed on someone. I probably should have been more careful."

"Alright well, I guess I'll it slide this time," Chad joked. He pulled out his wand and gave it a wave, cleaning up a good chunk of he mess. He looked out at the Great Hall however, and saw more mess strewn across the table. Chad sighed lightly and sat back on his heels. "So you're...you're Allegra's brother, right?" Chad asked the boy finally.

Keeping her attention on the mess she was cleaning up, she heard the Professor saying something about respect, but she didn't really understand what it had to do with anything. At least, not until the woman walked out of the Great Hall and the Quidditch Referee yelled at her. It wasn't good if she ended up on the woman's bad side, not when she advised over the paper now.
Picking up a mess of potato and noodle mush, she piled it on the plate she'd taken and thought about what her professor could possibly have been saying. Suddenly, she jumped up and started walking out the Hall herself. No, she didn't think she should leave the mess behind, not when she created a large amount of it, but it wasn't like everyone who threw food was cleaning it up anyway.
Felicity needed to apologize to the woman before she got into too much trouble, and she wanted to make sure she knew Felicity hadn't meant any form of disrespect by participating, she was just throwing food back at the red head she hadn't known was the Head Girl to begin with. Retaliation, defense, that's all it was.

"Yeah, that's me," Drew answered, thinking it had been a while since he had been called out for being Allegra's kid brother. In fact, the last time it had happened, he was pretty sure he was still denying their relationship.
He didn't say anything more, figuring there really wasn't much too say unles the quidditch ref wanted to say it. He worked on a scattering of noodles, looking over at the door when Felicity rushed out. He wasn't sure where she was going or why she was in such a hurry, but he didn't think it was anything he had to check on. Besides, with her gone, it now appeared that he was the only student actually willing to clean. Ironic, considering Drew hadn't thrown anything.

Chadwick stopped cleaning up for a moment. He looked over at Drew and sighed quietly to himself. He looked at the boy and tried to think of something to say to him. What could he say? Chad was fairly protective of Allegra already so he could only imagine how protective her brother would be. "So you know about...me and Allegra, right?" he asked tentatively.

The guy obviously wanted to talk about Allegra, and while Drew was well aware of who his sister was seeing, that didn't mean he had to like it and it definitely didn't mean he wasn't going to have a little fun with it. Heck, since Dad wasn't here to make the guy sweat, it was now his job, right? Drew wondered if he could be as intimidating as Felicity's dad, but doubted he could pull it off.
The sixth year stopped what he was doing and looked steadily at the Quidditch ref, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. "What about you and my sister?" he asked the guy in a low growl.

"I just wanted to talk to you about it," Chad continued, trying to stay calm. Even though it was her younger brother he was talking to, Chad was still nervous about it. He wanted to stay on Drew's good side and he didn't want Allegra to have to suffer on his behalf.
Lowering his voice, Chad spoke to Drew again. "I really like her, Drew," the Quidditch ref explained, "And I wanted you to know that. She's great and...I'd never hurt her. And I was hoping that you and me could kind of be friends, as much as we can. Technically, I won't ever be your teacher."

"You just met her though. Like just a few months ago," Drew pointed out, still keeping his eyes narrowed. Drew knew first hand how it felt to be a good guy and still get a hard time. It was part of the drill when it came to dating girls, but it wasn't fun. The quidditch ref had always struck the Ravenclaw as being a nice guy and Drew really didn't have the heart to mess with the guy much more. He also trusted Allegra wouldn't date any jerks... well, except for that one slick Gryffindor, but Chad didn't strike Drew as being a slick kind of guy.
"You know that if you do mess with her, I'll have to curse you into next year," Drew told him seriously. He wasn't positive he could actually follow through, but it was far from an empty threat from a little kid. Drew had, on more than one occasion, seriously hurt guys who messed with Allegra.
