He could never seem to get much done with Felicity around. He usually ended up kissing her or starting a stupid argument. The kissing was obviously much more enjoyable but the arguments? A lot of times those ended up with him kissing her too.
He tried, honestly he did, to stay focused on what they were supposed to be doing, but sometimes it was just way too hard. At the moment, while he wanted to continue the run, all he could think about was how cute she looked dripping wet and wearing his hat.
"I think we should make that smaller for you," he said, reaching over to take it back so he could tighten up the band in back.

"What are you doing?" she asked him, grabbing the hat back. She wasn't angry, but she was playing up being incredulous that he'd steal her hat, yes it was now her hat, away from her. As far as she was concerned, while it might be a little big, there was nothing wrong with it. Besides, it gave her something to remember.
Pulling the hat back on, the bill forward and falling over her eyes as best as it could, she tilted her head back, maximum opportunity to kiss him when she was ready to.
"I like it this way," she told him, allowing her hand to slowly creep up around his neck. "It reminds me not to give you any more compliments." Pulling him closer, she let her lips touch his briefly. "If I give you any more of them, you won't fit my hat anymore."
Yes, it was her hat. Even though she fully planned on giving it back to him, it was hers.

"I was just going to fix it," he started before realizing she was teasing. He had no problem with her claiming it as her own. Aside from it giving him one of those strange but fabulous feelings that he couldn't describe, if and when he ever got it back it would probably smell like vanilla.
"Are you saying I have a big head?" he asked, knowing that in the literal sense of the phrase, it was something Thornton men were known for. Luckily for him, he and his father both took after Drew's grandmother in that area.

"Yes and no," she answered, peering from beneath the rim that she could still see from. The hat wasn't entirely too big, but the way she'd angeled it it looked far worse than it was. It was all for props, anything to tease him, as long as he got that that was all it was. "I'm saying your head is bigger than mine. Therefore, yes, you have a big head and I shouldn't make it grow any larger, because it really isn't all that big as it matches out proportionally to the rest of your body."
Pulling him again, finding it too irresistible to not kiss him in the slowly-working-its-way to a downpour, she kissed him softly and moved her hand down to the sweatshirt covered belly and tugged. "Come on, if we don't move it I may end up sinking in the mud, never to be found again."

Her explaination sounded a bit like she was talking in circles, and he wasn't sure he understood it other than she thought that his head was just the right size. He certainly hoped so...
Drew could have probably kissed her a lot longer and when she broke away the second time, he leaned in more to try and keep it going. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but the rain seemed to add something. And as she trailed her hand down his chest, awakening those butterflies into a mad frenzy, it was all he could do not to just push her down in the mud and give her a really good snogging.
"I don't think I'd mind so much," he told her seriously as she tugged on his sweatshirt.

Raising a blonde eyebrow at him, she wasn't sure whether to laugh or take a playful offense...so she did both. A short giggle protruded, and then she opened her mouth, closed it, thought for two point three seconds, and then came to a conclusion on what to reply with. Of course she doubted he meant what he said with how it came out.
"You wouldn't mind if the mud ate me up?" she inquired, trying not to laugh too much at the idea of sinking into the ground. "And then I was lost forever in the depths of mud country and no one ever found me again?"
Giving him the slightest of pouts, she tilted her chin down for a moment to think about it. Felicity was joking with him, and it was evident in her voice, the way it carried the giggles she was doing her best to suppress.
"Wouldn't you miss me?" she finally asked, tilting her head back in order to see him from under the shelter of their hat. "I mean, what would you do with all the spare time since you'd no longer have to teach me?"

"If you got stuck, then wouldn't I also?" Drew asked, raising an eyebrow back at her, feeling the trickle of rain find a new path down his face as he did so. With his train of thought the way that it was, all he was thinking of was how they would have been stuck together, but after she started her pouting act, he realized it probably hadn't come out the right way.
"Unless... you don't want me stuck with you?" he asked, making a face back at her.

Nope, she hadn't taken it that way. And now, on top of it, she had to think of another explanation as to why she'd be stuck and not him. It wasn't hard finding a solution, after all, there were a multitude of them that came flying into her mind immediately, the problem was finding the right one to say.
"Well, I was thinking that since you're close to a foot taller than I am," she started, measuring his height with her eye. "That someone would probably find you before it was too late. And by that time, I'd be long gone since I don't have such a long way to go."
Giving up on the pout and pulling on a full-blown smile, she scratched at his belly lightly. "Besides, if we were both stuck then there wouldn't be anything left to do. I mean, being stuck means you can't really do anything." Shrugging her shoulders at him, she very slowly took a step back, and then another, still not releasing the fold of cloth from her hand.

Drew raised an eyebrow at her. "I can definitely think of stuff to do," he answered back, taking a step toward her as she tugged on his sweatshirt and stepped away from him. "Aaaand... I seriously don't think we'd have to worry about you going under before I do." At least not if they were going by his plans. If they did get stuck, there was no way he'd let her get eaten by the muck.

"Oh?" she asked a little surprised. Being stuck meant being stuck, you couldn't move freely about to do anything, or that was how she was thinking. But he did get her curiosity peaked by making her wonder what kinds of things he could think to do that she couldn't. And it wasn't really that she couldn't think of things they could do, but she was wondering what kinds of things he was thinking they could do. "What kinds of things?"
Not letting the smile fade, she continued to step carefully backwards, hoping that if she slipped in the mud she wouldn't fall too close to the ground. Of course, it didn't really matter, it wasn't as though she couldn't shower when she got back to the Gryffindor Tower.

Drew, of course, was thinking that sinking into mud was a slow process... or at least slow enough for him to get his arms around her before they got too deep. Once he got that far, some of the best things were still options.
She took another step back and he took two towards her, closing the gap between them and putting his arms around her again. "Things like this?" he asked before giving her another kiss. he lingered for a while on her lips before pulling back and raising an eyebrow at her. "I wouldn't let you sink too much," he told her with a smirk.

A number of feelings coursed through her veins all at one moment. Surprise from Drew taking that extra step she hadn't been prepared for. Inability to properly breathe when he got so close to her. Fluttering butterflies when his lips touched hers, not to mention the weak knees that suddenly appeared while he lingered. Dizziness from the overpowering (thought not in a bad way) scent she'd come to more than love, which reminded her it'd been quite a while since she'd gone searching for that spot on his neck she loved so much.
"That's a good thing," she answered almost breathlessly. Whether her answer was to his question before or after the kiss, she thought it worked pretty well for either. For some reason, she was thinking sinking into the mud wasn't such a bad idea anymore.

Drew wasn't sure what she thought was a good thing, but decided in the end that it didn't matter. Asking for clarification when it didn't matter tended to get him in trouble and at the moment, trouble was one place he didn't want to be.
"I thought so," Drew answered, figuring that covered all the bases. The rain was no longer dripping down her face, protected as she was by his cap, but he could feel it running down his own face. He hadn't replaced his hood and knew that his hair was probably was clinging to his skull, looking like the matted fur of a stray dog. His sweatshirt wasn't doing much to protect him from the elements either, well on it's way to becoming soaked through. Not that any of that mattered either. He had his arms around Felicity and that was really all he cared about at that moment.

It was nice to think he thought it was a good thing as well, because she didn't know what she was really responding to, but at least he seemed to know. All she knew was her heart was beating faster than at a normal pace and she didn't mind it one bit. One more thing she knew was he was still really close to her, and looked so adorable sopping wet like he was, she couldn't pull away at that moment, not that it was easy any other time either.
Slipping her hands up around his neck, she nervously bit her lip as she let her gaze find his. The blue of his eyes was always thrilling to see, and she loved being so close to him. It was an amazing feeling in her opinion, and it made her feel all the more special that he had asked her to be his girlfriend.
"Drew?" she started, smiling slightly. He looked cute with the water pouring down his face as it was, and she really didn't think her knees had recovered enough to walk away from him without wobbling. "Will you dance with me?"

He found her eyes mesmerizing and he loved it when she looked at him like that. He smiled at her, not sure what she was seeing, but deciding that didn't really matter either as long as he could gaze into those soft brown eyes.
He smiled at the request, not concerned over the lack of music. The rain seemed to be doing nicely anyway. He reached up and grabbed her right hand with his left, feeling that if she wanted a dance, he was going to do it right. His right hand was somewhat low on her back and he held her close as he started swaying slowly to the sound of the rain.
